This review is specifically for the gynecologist. This person had zero empathy and really did not seem to care. She made me repeatedly recount traumatic experiences to justify my desire for a particular procedure. If you're looking for someone that is going to treat you like a human being while discussing your most intimate parts, this is the wrong place to come. I'm horrified. I spent a good fifteen minutes crying in my car in the parking lot afterwards. I would not choose to come back here.
Very poor planning and maintenance.don't visit here by seeing Google timing.they just operate as they want.receptionist listening skill is damn poor. Tried more than 10 times to there contact number to confirm on operating time. But no one bothered about I pickup and answer. Then when I came in direct I have been told like today walk in is full and the guys who were standing before me got to see the doctor. May be as am Asian they are not ready to extend for 1 person. #PoorFrontDesk
So frustrating being a patient here. There is ZERO compassion. You are not able to get in to see a doctor for at least 3 weeks out. I called today in major pain and they wouldn’t even squeeze me into their schedule. There’s no movement or care at all. Guess I will have to wait 8 hours at the foothills. What’s the point in having a family doctor when they don’t care enough to see their patients
I donno why this clinic has only 3 stars. Must appreciate Dr. Adeleke for all her hard work and support towards me and my family. We just feel so welcome and warm each time we visit her. Even the people at reception are good. I am thankful we found this clinic.
After calling at least 20 clinics in the NW of the city and being told no they can’t see my daughter even when they are open until 9 until I called this place and the lady was very kind and was able to squeeze my daughter in last minute. I live far NW and came all the way downtown to get into see a doctor. You can tell the people that work here are very sympathetic to certain situations. Truly appreciate people and doctors offices that can accommodate in this time.
Came in for an anxiety medication refill that was needed immediately due to not having my doctor in office for two days, was berated over medication plan that my doctor made for me. I had a full panic attack in the office and was extremely uncomfortable taking a 5 pill prescription after being told “ I wont ever refill this again” and I did not walk out with my needed medication & then headed to Rocky view hospital. By far the most uncomfortable and unwelcoming experience, I was told I was defensive when I was explaining my health history. I don’t recomend Doctor Brown for mental health issues.
Exceptional care from receptionists and Dr. Gbadamosi, my family doctor. I've had other Dr's that I almost feel embarrassed about talking to them about certain issues but my Dr is very professionals and I never feel uncomfortable talking to him. Even when I do move out of the downtown area I will continue coming here
Receptionist was kind and efficient, Dr Brown was nice and attentive. From registration to Dr consultation done with prescriptions only took us 20 mins. Very impressive experience with walk-in Dr service.
Had a great experience with an appointment. Went really quickly and got a thorough examination, quick diagnosis, and easy referral. Office is clean and welcoming. Thank you for your help!
I always have a great experience when I come to the clinic. The staff are really sweet and helpful and my doctor, Dr. Adeleke is really nice and professional. She listens and she has sympathy for you, she understands your needs and concerns.
I had an appointment to see a doctor at 13: 30 today, but after waiting until 14: 45, when I asked how long more I should wait, she said that she doesn’t know. So I left the clinic after one hour and 15 minutes waiting without seeing the doctor. It seems that this place has very poor management and it was a very very disappointing experience. I’ll never ever go to this clinic again. I think they don’t deserve even one star rating.
Not helpful at all and never sees me in person always just does a phone consult doesn’t even try to see what’s wrong. Wouldn’t recommend Front desk also very rude and unprofessional
I went there for walk in even after seeing that it’s rating is worst. Negative experience. I was the only one over the clinic not accepted for walk in and the receptionist for making doctors appointment is so rude. Will never visit again. Receptionist should be humble and polite but found rude.
Had a negative experience as I had services denied because my visit regarded a vehicle collision. They also called me 2 times to confirm my appointment and once at the clinic made me wait for 1.5 hours wasting my time to bring me in and tell me They do not want to deal with insurance and all the paperwork involved. AHS mostlikely gets charged for the vist and I did not get checked and just refered to another clinic. When this could communicated when I call to book the appointment and when they call me to confirm it. Very unhappy with their lack of communication and profesionalism.
Dr. Kapil Sareen-Khanna went to extraordinary measures addressing my hamstring injury and hematoma. I was admitted promptly to see him. He ordered ultrasounds (muscular and vascular), X-rays and he followed up each day, by phone, with treatment advice and next steps. The ultrasounds revealed some other, more serious issues and he followed up with specialists to understand the best approach to treating this condition. I highly recommend Dr. Kapil. Gary S.
Reception is so rude! Unbelievably condescending and refuses to help patients out in any way. Your health will surely suffer at this clinic as he will not let you get the help you need. I will be finding a new doctor
I have been here a couples times now (and referred a friend as well) and have nothing but good things to say about this clinic.
The staff are friendly, the facility is large and clean and I have not had to wait long at my visits. The doctors (particularly Dr. Brown) have been of great assistance in helping me manage my current needs whilst I go through the process of finding a family doctor for ongoing care.
Very appreciative of their services and highly recommend.
The office was quite busy but they happened to have a walk in spot available for me. Doctor Cristurean was very kind and professional. He explained everything and gave resources without belittling and rushing as many walk-in doctors do.
Unfortunately, my experience there with one of the doctors was terrible. Came in with an issue related to my eye, doctor didn’t ask me any questions regarding my eye. He took a look at my eye with a light said I had a pink eye which turned out false because I had went and saw another dr at another clinic who took the time to examine my eye. The doctor at MCI prescribed me something that wouldn’t have cured the infection, he did not explain the medication didn’t even say a word to me after. I asked him for a cream for acne didn’t ask me what the name was, what my concern was, why I needed it, if I’ve used it if before. Did not utter one word back to me, gave me my prescription without any explanation whatsoever. Not to mention, when he entered the room, he did not greet me at all! In fact, from the moment he came in the room, he had this energy that I felt like he didn’t care about his patient, and I felt like he just wanted to get me out of the room ASAP and not deal with me anymore given the fact that I came in with a very minor problem. I felt very bothered and disturbed and was wondering if he treats every patient of colour like this because I felt very discriminated. I know the way he was towards me is very unethical of a doctor to behave towards his patients. No one should feel what I felt coming in to see a dr regarding their concerns. It’s unacceptable.
I would give 0 stars if I could. The only thing could about this sad excuse for a clinc is the lady at the front desk. She was very polite and helpful. The doctor my son saw was a jerk! Had no idea what Herpangina was, didn't even say hello, asked my son what his problem was. I was disgusted with his patient care. I was booked right after my son and he didn't even want to talk about my concerns. (I'm sure he will still bill AHS for the consult he did not give) I will be reporting to the College of Physcians for patient neglect. Wasted my time just to have to go see another physcian with actual medical knowledge to find out my son does have Herpangina. Disgusting!
Commutation between admission staff and patients leave much to be desired re: wait times, and doctors available. A number of fellow walk in patients left in frustration, as did I (after waiting 1.5 hours). 2 doctors were showing as working, whereas found out much later that only one was available, and seemed as though 30+ min was spent on each patient once admitted to see the doctor; whether it was for a small or larger reason to visit…
I walked in in a morning and they booked me in for a 5 pm appointment. I arrived on time and checked in before 5, but was seen by a doctor till 630, what's the point of making an appointment then?
No compassion, no professionalism, didn’t even try to book me the next day. The clinic closed in 50 minutes and the receptionist didn’t even have the humanity to try and help or see if the doctor would be able to write me a basic antibiotic prescription even after pleading that I was extremely ill. LAZY people here.
Don’t even bother on making an appointment as far as a week beforehand, because you’re going to wait for a long time just as any walk-in. Easier just calling and letting me know we have to reschedule the appointment so I don’t waist my day waiting.
This clinic is amazing. I have been here twice and have had a great experience both times. Each Doctor I met with, called and followed up with me. I got a call today because my Insurance would not cover the cream Dr. Sareen-Khanna prescribed and he wanted to meet with me to prescribe something that is covered by insurance. I don't even get that kind of care at my regular clinic. The front staff and nurses are so kind and the customer service is impeccable. You will have to wait to see someone and they may be filled up for the day but they do their best to accommodate or give you other options for care. Highly recommend this clinic.
Have had an excellent experience with dr Collins, who is highly professional and competent. Most of the negative reviews here pertain to wait times and limited walk in appointments, which unfortunately are going to be a factor in all primary care clinics currently.
Every staff member was kind, courteous, and patient. The doctor was thorough and efficient. The pharmacists carefully explained how do use the medication prescribed. One of the most positive experiences I’ve ever had going to a walk-in clinic.
Dr. Brown was extremely compassionate and understanding. He took the time to hear me out and really check in with me and answer all of the questions I had. He takes mental health seriously and his compassion, clear communication was so, so appreciated!
I have been in there twice and I’m taking my daughter tonight. The front house staff was very kind and gentle. I don’t understand why people are leaving negative reviews for them. The doctor that I had the one time I went in was great. So far I have no issues with this clinic. I just tried to call them today and their phone number is hooked up to a fax and I can’t get through. It could be because they were extremely busy I don’t know
Came to see a walk-in doctor. I arrived at 3: 30 and was advised that they did not have a walk-in doctor until 5: 00. I enquired about a wait list and was told they couldn’t do anything until 5: 00. I came back to the clinic at 4: 50 and was advised that it would be a several hours to see a doctor because the doctor was already booked-up. Receptionist rudely suggested trying another clinic. The way this clinic waitlists walk-in patients is ridiculous. There’s no reason I had to wait an hour and half to be told I should have found another clinic or that I couldn’t be waitlisted when I first arrived.
Can't get through on the phone, can't make an appointment through their website. Their website also doesn't have clear or accurate information. I had gone here 3 months ago and needed to get my blood work done, once my blood work was done no one from the clinic called me to check up. Turns out the doctor I saw doesn't even work here anymore, which would have been nice to be notified. So I tried to make an appointment which is pretty much impossible. I walked 24 minutes to see if I could walk in, and was told I need to come back 5 hours later for an appointment. Total waste of my time. I mostly blame Jason Kenney for how horrible all the clinics are these days. I've seen 5 doctors just within this year for my thyroid condition, and I do not feel safe or secure in the way I've been treated. We need more funding for healthcare, this is unacceptable.
Called in asking for an estimate on how long the wait for a walk in would be. They told me 1 hour max. 2 hours later I am still here, and they’re telling me it will be another 30 minutes. I would have waited less if I went to the hospital.
Dr. Collins is awesome and super professional. However, waiting times to see your family doctor when you need them are insane at this location. My wife and I had to go to the hospital and we were told to book and appointment with our family doctor asap to get a referral to see a specialist asap. We called this location to explain the situation and they said that he was fully booked for the next 6 business days. Is it to hard to find a time in situations like this? Do not got to this location if you really need help. I wish there were more private clinics where you could just pay and get the help you need right away.
I was with Dr. Kim, not at all good or satisfactory service. It seemed as if he didn't care about his patients at all and the interactions were not even beyond 5 minutes. This shows how less care he showed! I haven't even heard back regarding my reports. Very disappointing!
Today around 430pm I called ahead to see if I could come in as a walk in. I was told to come in around 6pm because it was busy at the moment. The receptionist hung up the phone without getting any of my information. I visited around 6pm and they refuse to take me in because I didn't have an appointment and it was busy. Proper communication goes along way, please don't say one thing and meant the other. Especially in a health provider environment.
I don’t know if the walk in doctor (s) are good at this clinic because I didn’t get past the incredibly rude receptionist at the front desk. She asked how she could help and then proceeded to tell me no one was available to see me (why she wouldn’t tell me that from the start, is beyond me). After asking to see a walk in doctor she said that there were no spots open, pointed to the two ppl in the waiting room and said that was it for the day. It was 215PM and the clinic closed at 4PM…. Don’t waste your time going here, walk-ins are not welcome.
My family and I have been patients of Dr. Nasser for around 20 years now. He genuinely cares for us and gives us trouble when we deserve it. He makes us feel very comfortable being able to discuss anything with him no matter how uncomfortable it might be. He is the best!
The doctors at this clinic are condescending, rude and do not listen. Doctors have refused to help me understand my symptoms or why they may be happening and I've had to go to other doctors who helped me get a diagnosis I suspected. The front desk staff are nice, but the doctors here don't seem to care about patients, especially based on the reviews I can read. Patients should never have to beg a doctor who should be helping them advocate for their health.
Writing a review to bump their score up. My partner and I came here as it's very close to where we live. We didn't make an appointment and were walk ins on a Saturday morning. Yup I know who does a walk in on a Saturday morning? Well we did and it wasn't as bad as we thought. Overall start to finish took about 1.5 hrs. Staff and doctor were friendly, helpful and informative. Most of our questions were answered. Family doctor was recommended as we both need continued follow ups. Note: weekend doctors are not regular enough if that is what you are looking for. Better to come in during the week as those doctors are here more regularly and can do follow up care better.
Dr. Kelly Ma is awesome and professional! Her professional opinion about my situation was really helpful to find the reasons. I was walk-in patient and I didn't wait that long. If you make an appointment ahead, it won't bother you that much like other reviews for sure. I'd love to come back here if I have any health problems on weekends.
I went other clinic to see doctor for same reason before I came here, He was absolutely unprofessional about my situation. He said there's nothing wrong and told me to find other doc because he can't do anything for me. I'm so happy that I found doctor actually take cares about their patients!
My experience in this walk in clinic has been really good. I booked an appointment and didn’t have to wait too long to see a doctor. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Dr. Phumelelo Khoza is one of the kindest doctors I’ve met. She’s very understanding and patient. Will only be going to this clinic for walk ins.
They booked an appointment for me to sit there for 30 minutes to then tell me that my referral to an ENT was unsuccessful due to the that particular doctor being overloaded. Pretty easy to share that information on the phone, but then you don’t get to bill another “appointment” ️
My partner is currently in the hospital getting a surgery for an issue that this walk-in clinic prescribed Advil for 4 weeks ago. You should be ashamed at the complete lack of care you provide patients, what a pathetic excuse for a medical practice. EVERYONE STAY AWAY.
I do not reccomend this place to anyone! I came in with a very big cut on my leg that was to late for stitches and they told me I cant change the dressings myself and I HAD to come in to the doctors to get it changed. They seen me every 2 days and the last visit I had there was on Thursday and they first told me to come back on monday to get my dressing changed.thats insane, after I said no way they said I can come in ANYTIME for a walk in and they will see me and change my gauze as we waited for a call from the wound clinic. I went in today to get my dressing changed and got turned away, they wouldn't even look at it, change it or give me the proper dressing todo it myself. My leg is extremely infected now and I have to go to emergency as im STILL waiting for the wound clinic to approve me. (My accident happened a week and a half ago, they first put a requisition to foothills wound clinic and then after waiting the whole week, they tell me on Thursday my last visit that they "tried to call me " to say they cant and ill have to go to Sheldon Chumir and they needed to hear from me before sending the papers.but I have 0 missed calls.) THEY DONT CARE, THEY ARE VERY RUDE, AND THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL THEYRE DOING. DO not even waste your time.
I phoned this clinic and fully explained my intention of bringing my five year old son to this clinic to see a doctor ️ because his allergies are well know and documented as being problematic. Upon arriving I’m told that the doctor does not want to examine my son because he doesn’t know if my son has covid-19 or not. I explained that my son didn’t. When I asked if they had Covid-19 testing kits at the clinic. I’m told no, when I ask why they would allow me to book an appointment and come all the way down to simply waste my time. No explanation. This clinic is still billing the federal Government for seeing patients and doing nothing to help. Couldn’t believe this locations customer service. How poor it was. And the collective inability to not only to their chosen profession. But their lack of empathy for children to was surprising
Wait time to see a doctor is the worst and you are repeatedly asked what the purpose of your visit is for. The assumption is that I have work or other things to do rather than wait all day
I have been with this clinic since they moved to this location and my original doctor decided not to join them and I ended up with a new family Dr. Over the years my experiences continue to get less and less pleasant, leaving me feeling unheard, rushed, abused (not by my family Dr but another one there) and most recently feeling VERY unwell. When I asked my doctor to not speak over me and let me ask my questions her, and now the staff, have started treating me like I did something wrong, even though she's the one that cut the strings of my IUD too short and it got stuck inside me. (According to the physician that had to remove it) I had already been disappointed in the poor follow-up with patients from this clinic. I only attend minimally as a patient, only going when necessary, but somehow I end up having to find my own other resources and getting the help I need myself. Very disappointing to have this experience with a family physician. I'd look elsewhere if you have an option. It's Canada, but free healthcare shouldn't mean poor healthcare.
The worst front desk ever! The doctors are knowledgeable, no complains. However, the front desk is absolutely unhelpful and disrespectful to the patient's time. They make coordinating between the doctor and the patient impossibly difficult. Even for scheduled appointments, they provide vague answers that leave the patient guessing. For telephone appointments the doctor and patient should not have to chase each other by applying guess work. It should be the front desk's job to simplify things for the doctor and their patient.
Am very concerned about this place. I sent a worker there yesterday because of a deep cut on his finger. He was turned away because of COVID. Since when does this happen? How can they be a service if they don't service.
Clinic prioritizes walk-ins over patients on the Drs roster. Wait times to see Family Doctor are over 1 week. My telehealth appointment, which I booked 1 week in advance wasn’t even kept to the original scheduled time.
I do like the Dr, but I don’t like the clinic. Would appreciate if they had greater respect for appointment times / could let patients with scheduled appointments know when the clinic running behind.
I realize processes & procedures are adjusted due to the recent events. Process to get in now is you must call first.
After calling & indicating I was here. I was standing at the door & the front desk staff didn’t acknowledge me at the door. When one of them finally looked up, she made the action to call. I had already & I was waiting at the door. Rather bizarre system.
Zain Bheriani UNFORTUNATELY is one of the doctors who works at this clinic. I had the unfortunate experience of being treated by her because my family doctor was not available. She didn’t take the time and care to properly communicate or listen to me during our session— and because of her unprofessional behaviour she inconvenienced me in a major way. It’s unfortunate that my family doctor had to apologize for her incompetence. If you are looking for a family doctor I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND AGAINST Zain Bheriani!
My mom has been going to Dr. A. Dinh for several years now and as a family we can't express our thanks enough for the care she has received from Dr Dinh.
They can’t even keep track of who comes first. 3 walkins who checked in after me got to see the Doctor earlier. The waiting time quoted was 30 min to 1 hour and it took more than 2 hours.
It happened twice to me here. Worst service. Better go to other walkins nearby.
Office is modern and clean. I went to MCI with no appointment instead of Urgent Care and was pleasantly surprised. I saw a physician in under 45min (early on a weekday) and was treated fairly. I would recommend calling Health Link (811) for health advice and calling MCI for an appointment beforehand to reduce your wait time.
Usually I have great luck with walk in appointments here. Unfortunately, with appointments you can be expected to wait quite awhile (roughly 45 mins today). Will be back but hope the wait isn't as long.
Was told 2 walk-ins were in front of me and it shouldn’t be long at all. One hour later I watched 3 people who also walked-in get called to see a doctor before me. I asked the front desk why, and she said it was because the doctor to whom I was assigned had 4 appointments before me, while the other doctors had more time to see walk-ins. Those stories did not match up to her original quoted wait time. She didn’t offer to move me to the other doctors or let me know how much more time I would be waiting. No respect for the patient’s time.
The receptionist was friendly and professional; suggested I maybe grab a quick lunch so the wait wasnt long (clarified that she couldn't guarantee anything, fair) and overall was 30 mins wait (including my snack at CoOp). Dr. Gbadamosi was awesome! Soft spoken, explained everything clearly, and was focused. Great experience!
. Although it is very clean, the front desk staff are not very friendly. In my experiences coming here the wait times online are never accurate. It will say 30 minutes and you will wait 2+ hours. If it’s not urgent make yourself an appointment. All the doctors have been great.
Wasn’t helpful at all, had no desire to assist me with what I was requesting. Acted like she didn’t cate and it wasn’t important to her that it was important to me. Waited over an hour to be treated and have the doctor do nothing. Not happy.
Came in at 1: 30 there was one other person in the waiting room several people came in some with appointments some requesting walk ins at 2: 30 the waiting room was completely empty. I went up to the receptionist and told her I had been waiting for an hour she then asked for all my info again and then told me I was next.it’s very clear a mistake was made and at no point did she apologize for the mixup. It is now 2: 50 and I still have not been called. I would avoid coming here.
Strongly recommend saving your sanity and time by going elsewhere if possible. A little while ago I visited this place with an appointment time and after an hour and a half past my appointment time they told me that they did not know when I would get to see a doctor. Today, I had an appointment at 5: 00pm and after waiting until 6: 00pm in the waiting room, they called me to the desk and told me that the doctor they scheduled me to see would not be in until 7: 00pm at the earliest. This place is horribly unprofessional and I am very disappointed in myself that I even tried to go back there.really wish there was a no star option.
Very disappointing administrative staff, unhelpful and don't have proper training. Wasted so much time waiting for them to figure things out and it all ended with come back tomorrow. The lady on the phone told me to come in, when I came in the lady told me to call tomorrow. I left work early to deal with this and just wasted my time. They don't respect the patient's time and efforts to go there, just dismiss people and move on to the next. I am so frustrated right now I never want to go back there.
Thanks for wasting my time. Nobody in the waiting room. 45 minutes later I walked out after several other people are brought in first, no they were not all booked, I can hear people asking for walk-in.
I’m confused by other negative comments. It’s a walk in.you’re being squeezed in, in between regular patients, there is no way to predict how long that will take, the staff guesses and I appreciate their attempt to do so. If I don’t want to wait, I come at a different time or make an appointment. This clinic functions exactly as I expect a medical clinic that accepts walk ins to function. You chose to come as a walk in, so you wait, that’s how walk ins work.
My family doctor is good as are the others I’ve seen as a walk in. I’d give five stars if when I was there didn’t feel the pressure of their schedule but understand that they have to make appointments to operate a business so I come back if needed.
Walk-in on a Tues afternoon. Been waiting for 2 hours. Still no doctor. I suggest to go elsewhere and save some time. I ended up leaving this place, sick and with no attention.
I've been going to this clinic for two years, using appointments and walkins. Most of the time my wait is under 30 minutes, more than reasonable for any clinic. Large waiting room, always warm and comfortable.
Not good service to issue a prescription for severe lower back pain and then swap it out for standard Advil at the pharmacy counter. I went home after two hours with medication that I could have bought at a grocery store. Which I have tried before, and it didn't help. But hey, thanks for the 10% discount on the Advil.
