Worst. Experience. Ever. Dr. Baxter is an incompetent Doctor who doesn't deserve to be practicing. Went in with very troubling concerns and asked for some very simple bloodwork to be done and was swiftly dismissed before even addressing my symptoms. I left bawling. Never have I been treated so poorly by a physician. Highly DO NOT recommend her, not even to my worst enemy. Please save yourself the agonizing terror of this woman at all costs. You'll thank me.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE.
Dr Baxter was dismissive, rude & had zero bedside manner- My appointment was at 1: 30 & I got into the room at 3, I was out of the room by 3: 05 feeling worse than I walked in. None of my concerns were addressed & she basically told me she didn’t want to hear anything I had to say. I’d rather naw my own arm off than experience Dr. Baxter ever again.

Absolutely brutal reception. Nurses were rude and. Check in their friends who were standing behind me. Then had the gall to admonish me when I asked why. Completely unprofessional.

Dr. Yue is wonderful, most of the staff is great, but Medicentres are so poorly managed. It has gotten worse recently. I don't have time to deal with these chaotic and understaffed clinics and will sadly need to find a new doctor.

I went to Dr. Baxter for a yearly Pap test AND for a health concern regarding vertigo type symptoms. She was so rough during the Pap test and ended up cutting me. I had other concerns/questions upon going in regarding my health and she was completely rude and awful. She kept cutting me off and would not let me speak or ask any questions. I was rushed out so fast and when I tried again to ask questions she said “bye”. Super unprofessional and honestly disappointing. I will never be going back to her again after my last appt. Why be a doctor when you don’t care about your patients and aren’t willing to help?

Don't waste your time.the woman at the front is beyond rude and will lie to your face to get you out of there.why is this place even allowed to continue to operate. My son had a terrible ear infection that won't go away.after seeing another doctor a few times and being rushed out the door.it still has not gotten any better. We wanted a second opinion on what to do. I told the woman exactly that. She tells me that we should not be there because they won't be able to tell if it's any better or not and that if we insist, we will have to wait because there are 3 other walk-ins ahead of us and a few appointments.even though we were the only people there. This is not the first time I've had issues at this location.never again. Not worth going here, so rude and unprofessional. Would give a negative if I could. Medical care in Alberta is a joke. Medicenters on every corner but no help to be found at all.

I want to know why when it says the clinic is open at 10 am.why is the door locked and I am still standing outside 20 minutes later?

I wanted to get my eczema checked and asked her if I could also get my ears checked and she got mad that I can only get one thing checked at a time even though there was no one waiting.

I showed up at 830am for a walk in appointment, I was told to come back at 11 that's when the walk in doctor starts. Ok no problem I come back at 11 and am td to sit and wait she should be here soon. I heard the receptionist repeat this to every patient for the next 70 minutes. At 12: 10 I get taken back to another waiting room and told she will call you in as soon as she gets here. That means I am nine the second waiting area, waiting for a doctor that hasn't even shown up yet. The receptionist is amazing, patient and kind. I have not seen the doctor yet but I still have made up my mind she is not the doctor for me or anyone else that values their own time.

I drove in and set up an appointment at 9: 30 for 1: 30 to see Dr. M. Baxter to assess my ankle injury I had from 2 years ago at work. I was told to come see any Doctor by Kaila Carlson of WCB and I even verified that I could come see Dr. Baxter through her.

As I’m waiting for my appointment, I am told by a secretary - NOT the doctor - that they are refusing to see me. They have now wasted my gas driving there and back twice. It’s a 25 min drive one way.

I am beyond disappointed with this abysmal service as this is my only day off from work in the week. I also have to have to have this assessment done by the 3rd of April. Which does not leave me time to do so.

There will be a formal complaint filed against Dr. M. Baxter.

She was the doctor I seen for my injury when I made it back to Edmonton from Grande Prairie and is now refusing to even see me with no reason.

I am new to Edmonton. Back in November, I was having difficulty breathing. I have suffered from asthma since birth. It was suggested to me to go to Dr. Kelly. I arrived around 8: 30am. My information was taken and I was immediately taken to an exam room. I was pleased with the staff. They realized I was in trouble and I was seen quickly. Dr. Kelly is a wonderful doctor who takes the time to talk with you. I am proud to have him as my doctor.

I've been a patient with Dr. Kelly for the past year. I have rarely gotten in for my appointment at the booked time. And trying to call to get an appointment or to speak to someone is basically impossible. All I needed today was a simple confirmation of paperwork having been received by them. As I write this I have been on hold and hung up on several times over the past 2 hours. I highly recommend Dr. Kelly but the clinic needs better time management and reception.

Receptionist said 5 min wait in the phone. Ten minutes later when i got there every chair in the waiting room was full

This is one of the worst if not the worst clinic I've been to. Waited 2 hours for an appointment just for prescription refills. This is pathetic and need to be addressed.

Pathetic. The website said 0min wait time. I tried calling to verify but nobody picked up so I hung up after 20min. That should've been my first clue.

I show up 10 minutes later to an absolute circus. The phone was ringing off the hook, there were dozens of people waiting, and there was no greeting for me when I walked in the door. I had to ask how long it will be and sure enough the estimate was 4 hours.

It would be nice if the website specified the wait times are inaccurate and are only there for you to waste you time.

Do not go to this medicentre unless you really really need to. I made an appointment a month in advance. Day of I called to see if it was still okay to come in. And their automated response was that their office is closed. No previous phone call email or text about this change.

I called & ask ahead of time if i can book an appointment but the lady told me to just walk in because there are only 2 patients ahead of me & it will not take long. But it took me more than 2 hours to wait. Im so disappointed. Aside from the clinic being so unsanitary. The service is terrible. Would never come back.

Doctors and staff are great but they really need to sort out appointment times. I had an appointment at 2: 50 PM and it’s now 4: 15 PM and I still haven’t been seen by the doctor. I don’t mind waiting a bit if the doctor is running behind but anything over 30 minutes is excessive and disrespectful of the patient’s time. We have jobs and lives. If I wanted to wait over an hour I’d go to a walk in clinic. They are clearly over booking.

Update: I went a second time hoping the first experience was a bad day. I had an appointment at 10 AM. It is now 11: 37 and I am still in the waiting room. I will be using Maple from now on. It’s clinics like these that are contributing to privatized healthcare.

The doctors here are actually quite professional It's just sad that they have service staff that are very rude and very disrespectful to the people who phone this establishment, especially Sansa.

Was there on time for an appt at 2: 30 waited for an hour and never even got to see the doctor. There was like 7 chairs and 20 people waiting all with appointments. I walked out and went to a walk in.

Front desk receptionists are incredibly rude and can’t be bothered to pick up the phone or answer your questions (AKA do their job) without catching an attitude.embarassing for them and the entire clinic

Love the fact that I've been turned away twice here just to find out the results of an ultrasound and x-ray for my injured knee.one doctor only sees walk in patients only but somehow they have a waiting list for her before shes even in and before the patient's arrive. I thought walk ins are supposed be first come first serve, not call ahead a book a spot. Public Healthcare like this is a complete joke, hope the owners feel proud to have hypocritical service like this.

I’m absolutely disappointed with the staff/service at this location. I’ve been to this clinic many times prior and the new staff provide horrible customer service. I stood at the front desk for over 5 mins waiting for one of the staff to check me in and the two front staff were sitting there at the desk showing each other pictures on their phone and having a conversation; completely ignoring me. When the one at the computer finally looked up and acknowledged me, she was very rude and spoke to me in a condescending manner. I ended up just walking out and going to another clinic. The new staff are very unprofessional and unfriendly and I won’t be returning to this clinic

Absolutely disgusted with the service at this location! Website states they open at 8am. I arrive at 745am and am waiting, I think, pretty patiently and about 810am, someone finally comes to the door. However, it isn't to open the door, but to grab a sign off the door with yesterday's hours and then leave without even an acknowledgement of the long lineup outside. This same individual comes back, and again with no acknowledgement whatsoever, puts up the sign again now stating they don't open till 830am. This is not how you go about treating people who need medical help! Website should have been updated last night or as early as possible this morning so that people aren't waiting, outside in the cold, for longer than necessary. Completely upset I'm in a lot of pain and the last thing I really wanted to do was sit on a cold bench outside freezing. The individual could of, at the very least, opened the door to explain why they were not opening as stated on the website!

Update, doors finally opened at 835am to then be told that they don't accept walk-ins until 10am! There was no mention of this on their website at all! Waited for almost an hour just to have to turn around and leave to go somewhere that will accept me as a walk-in.

Arrived @ 6: 00 p.m. Times said they were open till 7. No one in wait room.
Man at reception counter didn't greet me, then receptionist came from back, asked how they could help. Explained why I was there & was told they couldn't see me that day, she could book me for 2: 00 next p.m. I needed to see a doctor for an infected & swollen ankle. She asked the man if he could look at it & he said no & gave some excuses. Very disappointed. Obviously they wanted to go home early as it was snowing.
She suggested Manning emergency, which I went to, & was told it was a 7 1/2 hr wait.
Frustrated I left & went home & try & treat this 2nite.

They don’t have walk ins, my son was sick and I had to drive to Kingsway to see another doctor, they also wanted a negative test for him in order for them to see him.you think I want to drag my son around the city and jump through hoops just to see a doctor? This was a couple months ago. It’s like they don’t want patients here.
Now today I’m trying to call to book an appointment, it’s 10 am and they don’t open until 11. Not very accommodating.

I think I am being generous with 1 star. Our appt was at 1: 30. It is now 2. Still waiting at this moment. This is not the first time this has happened. Why book an appt. I can only imagine how long we will be in the room for. I will keep you updated if i can

I had an appointment and then waited in a patient room for 2 hours. I finally got seen after asking the receptionist if any doctor was going to see me.
I just feel like they forgot about me.
It just really made me feel bad about going to this location.

Waited so far 2.5 hours for a scheduled appointment, took the guy in with the appt after me first. This is horrible scheduling. If your looking for a doctors office go somewhere else.

Goggle says open, the sign says open, almost a full hour past and the doors are locked and lights are off.

I went this place today for my son ear flush (cleaning) the front lady and the guy who did clean my son’s ear were wonderful and friendly. Sorry I couldn’t remember the nice guy who did wants us to stay to see the doctor after he saw my son’s ear infection. DR Miranda Baxter was the one who saw my son’s ear and she took her time, listen to us and did a good examination, She recommend us to go to stollery children’s hospital with a note. Thanks very much DR Miranda and her team! If I can give 100 stars I would for this visit.

Very unprofessional doctor works here! So slow! No one should ever have to wait over 2 hours just to see a doctor! If they are this slow maybe shld go into retirement! Do everyone a favor, collect ur pension and let younger doctor take over!

Dr. Bexter (lady doctor with goggles and short hair) is the worst doctor I have ever seen. She doesn't have etiquettes how to talk to a patient. As a doctor, her patience level is zero. She shouted at us and ask to tell me what's your problem and get out from here asap.

Same as the receptionist. She's not even ready to admit doctor's fault. Way too rude. Never go to this clinic. They don't treat their patients well.

Hi I was just at the Hermitage Medicentre 12747 - 50th St. On Monday I was speaking to the nurse her name is Shelly and she was exceptionally Good And very thorough. Quite patient and very kind. I hope She gets recognized because it's few and far between that we see people like this thank you for your time. She was even able to book me an extra sound ultrasound and x-ray the same day. That was pretty good

I wish I could give them no stars at all! Just been there, my appointment was at 11: 30 am and we went there at time. They made me fill a form and wait for the doctor. I waited for about 1 hour and kept waiting, because of my medical condition, I couldn’t sit for too long so I had to move here and there. When it was too late, I went to the receptionist and asked her patiently that how more long it’s gonna take! And she told me that she’ll just check if the doctor got free or not. After sometime she came and told me to go to the doctor. The moment I entered her cabin, that lady doctor with goggles and short hair (maybe named Bexter) started yelling at me even before I could say a word. She told me that I was interrupting her by walking here and there, I wanted to tell her that it was my medical condition but she didn’t even listen to me and kept yelling. After all that yelling, she rudely asked me to tell what my medical problem was and get out of her cabin after telling the problem. Like seriously, I am already in pain and you just want me to tell the problem in hurry after yelling at me for so long, and of course you’re not gonna give me any relief with your angry treatment. I didn’t want to get even worse by such a treatment given in hurry and anger. I left her cabin, and this is definitely the worst clinic or say the worst doctor I’ve seen.

Not a good place to visit. Doctors and staff are very rude. Especially Dr. Bexter.

Poor time management, hours long wait after arriving at scheduled appointment time. Allowing clients with later appointment times to step ahead into queue.

Dr. Kelly is an amazing doctor it's always a wait for him but it's worth it he is very wanting to do his best to do all he can help. Grace the nurse is awesome as well she always has a smile and kind words.

We live in a world where everything is made more complicated by the Covid 19 pandemic, but the staff at the clinic helped me with every thing I needed. Shelly was a great help and Dr Kelly put me on the road to recovery, suggesting and getting me into physio which ultimately aided my healing and got me back to work. Thank you

This clinic is fantastic. Will go out of their way to help, above & beyond. After Covid-19 started, I was having a hard time finding gloves, asked if they had a suggestions before the appointment. While I was in, they called around & had an answer for me by the time I was done. They are really caring & make sure every concern is addressed before you leave!

Dr is nice and helpful, but I'm always left waiting for hours in the waiting room while other people who walked in after me get to be seen right away. I've called to try to make appointments, but they said they don't make appointments, just walk in. So why am I left waiting for hours while other people just get to go in?

Dr Kelly is the best doctor around! Been my doctor for over 20 years for that reason. Grace and all the staff are friendly and very professional. Would highly recommend Dr. Kelly and the Hermitage medical center.

The Fast track system works great! Got in to see a doctor very quick, staff were friendly and helpful. This is now the clinic I go to even though I pass other clinics I've been far less impressed with on my way there.

Terrible experience every single time. No, no it's not the doctor, my doctor is awesome. It's the wait time. I was told to come at 8: 00am sharp to be able to get in quicker. Got to the clinic at 8: 00am. I was told there is a 2 hours wait time. PFFF Okay! I registered. Its 11: 30am. Still waiting. Why? Why do you do this to us? How is it possible to make someone wait for so long for a visit of 5 minutes? Why not just tell the person. Hey come back in 4 hours, and someone will actually look at you.

No one was waiting when we check my son in to see a doctor. A few minutes after waiting, more people arrived. They were called in a few minutes after my son went in and came out ahead of him. One had a scratched her eye and the other was minor problem. I am not buying that they were more emergent.
I texted him and asked him what’s going on?
I went to the front counter and asked why others are coming out ahead of him. She said the doctor is STILL with him. He texted back and said ‘no they forgot about me. They just found me now, they didn’t think I was still here’ I said to her that’s not what he told me.
I have RA, I’m in a flare up needlessly waiting when he could have been seen and we’d be out of there and you lie to me?
In an effort to improve your service, please get organized and don’t lie to your patients.

I have been here for over 3 hours this is the longest I have ever had to wait in a medi centre you don’t even wait this long in a hospital.last time I come here.

Doctors take forever. Refused me an x-ray on my back saying he didn't want to expose me to unnecessary radiation. But having extreme back pain I beg to differ. Avoid this clinic.

Their is one chinese doc here, she is not friendly too rude to be a doctor. Even the front desk is same and both of them wont listen you properly. They think, they own the place and will act like one. Waiting time is always more than an hour doesnt matter when and how many times you visit.

Second time here, and currently been in the examination room for almost 1 1/2 hours waiting for Dr. Baxter. I understand that she’s the only doctor in today, and are taking care of other patients, but maybe that is a staffing issue that you need to address.

In my previous appointment, Dr. Baxter did not even ask probing question regarding a skin infection I’ve had for almost a year. Just prescribed me an antibiotic and sent me off. Which would be okay if that helped. But it didn’t. I don’t know what this second visit would do for me, apparently waiting is a big part of it. Will update after this visit.

Saw Dr. Kelly for some personal issues I was having. He spent time making sure he addressed those issues and went through everything he could think of to help reach a diagnosis. I've never had such an attentive doctor, even my own primary care physician glossed over issues and pushed pills on me (they were the wrong kind of pills too, which is why things never got better). I know it's a long wait, but that's what you should expect when you go to a walk-in. I definitely recommend this place.
