I will never go here again. I asked why my oil was completely gone not long after a service and got told it was my vehicle burning it, no they put the wrong oil filter on my vehicle almost costing me my engine I know this as the incorrect filter was removed upon next oil change and shown to me

I'm going to my Meineke for years with several different cars now. I recently moved accross town and still go back to them. They are so thorough and personable, never do they try and upsell or give unnecessary maintenance suggestions. I totally trust them with all my car maintenance.

Updating old review. I have been using Meineke for my last 3 vehicles because it's cheap and I never had a bad experience. Greg's advice saved me over $1200 compared to the dealer. Took me 10 minutes to order an aftermarket part online with warranty for $114. I know the risks but I can replace it 6 times incl.labor and still pay less than OEM part (that failed)!

This Meineke Barlow trail NE is just awesome place for me to get my vehicles fixed. Gregg is a nice guy, crew has alot of knowledge on what they do, pricing is fair lower than dealership. Total experience is just awesome and im happy on every service they do for ky vehicles!

A friend recommended going here and I am very impressed with the professionalism and work performed. I had an issue with my alternator not charging my battery. Brought vehicle in they tested system and found alternator needed replacement. I brought car in at 11 and received a call that car was fixed at 3: 30. They were fast, efficient, friendly and the price was right. I would highly recommend. Greg was a pleasure to deal with. Will be using Meineke now for my auto needs.

Headlight replaced speedy and expensive but not your fault manufacturer makes you take 1/2 care apart to replace same. Thank you for your service.

After calling around to three other car repair shops, Meineke was they only one that allowed me to come in without an appointment and diagnosed my car free of charge. I went in because it was making a rumbling sound and was even louder when pressing gas. Before even taking a look at my car they told me what the problem was from hearing it when I pulled up. After they looked at it, they confirmed that my catalytic converter was stolen and was able to repair it right away. The customer service was awesome.

The customer service was exceptional at this location! They not only got my vehicle repairs done in a timely fashion, but they fully explained each part of my vehicle that needed a repair and why. I feel like I was able to make an informed decision to proceed with the repairs because of the care that they put into their clients! I will be back for sure. Thank you!

First of all Greg is so kind and looked out for my best interest when I was there. I got my heater core repaired and my heat was not working perfectly after and Greg assured me I could call them and take in the car again without any hassle. My car got looked at right away and then we realized it was my heater core and thermostat that needed to both be fixed. They fixed it quickly and it wasn’t to expensive. I have had oil changes here also and they tell you exactly what is good and what is not so good in your vehicle. Very honest! Thank you!

If you're a young female or present as someone who may not know vehicles stay away from here. I've taken my truck to 2 shops before this for an estimate on a flex line for my front right brake and a simple straight pipe weld for my exhaust. Both shops found the same issues after their inspections and gave me estimates near the same price. Both reputable companies! One of which a close family friend was over seeing the inspection. Needless to say, he wouldn't let me drive away if it was unsafe to do so. After calling meineke and getting a rough verbal estimate at nearly $300 less for my repairs, I obviously called to get my truck off the lift at the other shop immediately. Now I'm on my second day of having to pay for my commute to and from work because of this truck, excited to get it fixed.and they called with a LAUNDRY LIST of "IMMEDIATELY NECESSARY" repairs that they MUST do or they REFUSE to do the work I took it in to do. Claiming it "wouldn't be road safe" and the "mechanic won't touch it unless we do all of XYZ" I called the other shops to ensure they did do a basic check up like on fluids and such since meineke also claimed my coolant is "like mud and im surprised it still filters through" and they assured me they did those checks and again, had it been unsafe to drive home last night they wouldn't have let me without letting me know. These guys clearly saw an "easy" opportunity to take advantage of a dumb young girl and chose to take it. I'm so upset that this is still the norm. I'm very lucky I'm not one to fall for this. But these guys should be ashamed of themselves. Just for reference. The estimates I got for the work I needed from all three shops raged from $400-$700. And yet the "necessary fixes they had to do to do the work I asked for" was already over $1500 and I didn't even let him finish speaking. Funny that 2 shops didn't find any of these "super serious, detrimental" problems but you did. And immediately started back pedaling when he said it must have been a private shop and I said it was their sister company. I bet he regretting bashing their work and inspection after that!

I went in to get my tires changed. The owner Yusri is very helpful and very patient. All of the technicians are amazing as well. I had some unexpected situations happen and had to reschedule on 2 occasions. Now a business cannot usually afford appointments to change at late notice and those in the business would be justified in being frustrated. The owner I booked with on the phone was patient, kind, and understanding.

Not only did they take my car in to change, but they finished half an hour earlier than they said it would take.

Meineke is FAST, and the owner and employees provide great costumer service and are all very costumer conscious.

Thanks to Greg who pointed out I had a bad wheel hub that was dangerous to drive on. I was able to get the part the next day and have a mechanic replace it, immediately. Great service.

So long story short, I came here for an oil change/tire exchange. There was this man/customer who was caught recording me, I stood up for myself. Anyway, the staff and Meineke were amazing and super supportive who addressed the situation and did all the right moves. The receptionist, Greg (?), saw what was happening and asked me all my personal information questions AFTER the creepy recording man was gone. Amazing. Anyway, the police got involved, and the Meineke staff were awesome. Thank you so much for making me feel comfortable after the fact that all happened. I will recommend this place to everyone I know. 10/10. There will be creepy people everywhere you go, but atleast I know this place will do everything in their power to make you feel safe.

I get all my vehicle maintenance and repair done at this location including oil changes, new tires, battery replacement, interior and exterior lights, recharge air conditioner, and to check out the various warning lights that show up periodically on my 15 year old VW Jetta. It's not exactly a thing of beauty, but my car is mechanically sound with the personable and helpful Greg and Abdul on the job.

I was there today (February 16,2022) to find out about the check engine light, replace the bulb in a headlight, and for new windshield wipers. I had an 11 am appointment and was on my way in less than half an hour. The guys are always ready to show me what they do or advise me of potential future issues.

When I returned to Calgary 6 years ago, I went to the Meineke by Sunridge because of the advertised oil change price. I was impressed by the quality of service, and I felt like they genuinely appreciated my patronage. When I needed tires, brake work, or investigation into a troubling noise, they took the time to understand my concerns and to explain what they were doing and why. If I have any after service questions, Chris answers them thoroughly and patiently.

Had my oil change done on time. The mechanic wanted me to consent to extra work which I didn't feel was necessary hence 4/5 stars.

I had brought my car in for a light that was on, the guys showed me exactly what was wrong and why it was needed. Greg at the desk was very helpful for answering all my questions. I will defiantly be back for all my future services.

Take great care with their clients by providing professional service and straightforward information about your vehicle. They want you to know what's going on with your car and they'll even show you. I learn a little more about vehicles every single time I am in this shop.

Well I did the brakes right after the oil change 1 yr ago. Check the mileage. I do my own work on my autos. I did not have time to do an oil change on this one so I get you to do it, but not anymore.

Their prices are reasonable but I didn’t appreciate the judgmental and argumentative attitude I got. I really just wanted to bolt out of there. Fair prices but not so great customer service.

My name is Clint I came in the other day for an Uber inspection. I just wanted to apologize for my behavior I was just upset. I did take it somewhere else for a second opinion and they told me it was loose but was ok for now but did recommend I replace it. I have ordered the part it will be here on Thursday I'm going to be fixing it myself then taking it for a wheel alignment and getting my inspection. I am taking it somewhere else for the alignment as they are much cheaper than you. Again I am sorry for my attitude it was uncalled for and was not your fault. I have retracted my one star rating and if the city needs to contact me that's fine. Thank you and have a good day.

I had called the store early Tuesday morning, and Gregg picked up- I Appreciate that he thought the issue with my tyre was worth immediate attention and chose to see me ASAP. He tried to get the seller of my 1month old car to do something as per warranty sales. And I thought that was kind as he didn't have to. I decided to change to newly purchased winter tyres and I left the shop later feeling as one who got great deals because a lot of extras I didn't have to pay for - e.g. Change of one the brake lights and a general health check/status of the car. I'm also grateful to the Guy who left his duty to give me a lift. Overall it was a great experience and would definitely recommend.

Yusri (owner), Abdul (Red Seal Mechanic), Gregg (Service Adviser) and the rest of the team are a fantastic team at Meineke @ Barlow Trail. The work ethics is fantastic and their pricing is very fair and reasonable. Will gladly recommend this store anytime, any day.

Really good mechanics. Sometimes they do try to upsale a person, but for the most part they are pretty good. I've been going there for quite some time.

These guys are awesome, they do great work they have an attention to detail and tell you what you need done. I take care of my car and these guys know what to do to help me keep it going. It seems like all the bad reviews here are people that don’t care about their cars and get mad easily when they get told they need a little work done! Spend a little now so you don’t spend a lot later people!

I had an appointment scheduled for only and oil change which they called and changed because they got too busy that day. When I went in they took my car in for the oil change and came back with an extensive list of things that need to be done. I kindly responded saying just the oil change is fine. The guy at the front desk abdul decided to huff and puff and tell me there is no point coming in to do your oil change if you wont be doing anything else. I told him that is no way to talk to a customer in which he replied with if you dont like our service do your oil change some where else. And that's exactly what I will be doing going forward because nobody has time to deal with such customer service and big egos.

This place is underrated, did a OPI here Had to replace a few things to pass nothing out of the ordinary just wear and tear items and now the car is as good as new. Really professional staff and service

2nd reply: I don't understand why you guys defend Greg I've read your reviews so many people have complained about him I'm starting to think your just a bad company and I took my car to my actual mechanic he said that my outer end tie rod was fine they are just trying to take money from you I told them to change my light but Greg said if you dont change your tie rod here I'm not gonna change your light corrupt company dont even bother coming here I'll make sure everyone around me knows not to come here

1st reply: Everyone is good here except Greg trys to intimidate you and take advantage of people he thinks hes smarter then I could tell completely by the way he talked to me vs the way he talked to other people he tried to intimidate me into getting some more work done in their when I was just going in for a oil change I seriously dont know how this guy has a job most unprofessional worker I have ever had to deal with.

Greg is so pleasant to work with. Very caring and understanding of value, quality and time. The mechanics (Abdule) are the best in the city! I’ve had a couple vehicles serviced here over the years and they always have the fairest prices. Very trustworthy.

These guys deserve an award for patience and customer service! I was in to get an oil change when a disgruntled customer walked in saying that he will not be paying for his services after he had towed in his car and they fixed it and got his car running and driving! I wanted to tell that numskull off but I felt like it wasn’t my place to do so, but the managers did a GREAT job dealing with his negative attitude. Bravo guys! If it were me dealing with him he would’ve been laid out staring at the ceiling.

I got great service and had an awesome experience I will be coming back for sure.

I prefer this location over the other, i made a mistake going there once because its closer to where i live but i don't mind the drive up here for quality work, great service and a total car inspection because I'd like to know what's going on with my car.

Don’t take you car to Meineke Barlow for whatever reason. They have the worst service you can ever imagine. Very poor customer service. They have no respect for customers. To them a customer doesn’t really count.

Been coming here for almost 2 years now. Had to leave them another review. Great prices and staff. I trust them with my vehicle and they are honest and knowledgeable people. Gregg, Abdul, and Yusri are the best! Also the mechanics behind the scenes as well!

I prefer this location over the other, The service is far superior by their quality of service and attention to detail i have complete trust in them with what they do.

The service I received was great when I initially went in for my vehicle inspection, but their hours of operation don't seem to be accurate. I showed up before 3pm today (on a Saturday) to show that all deficiencies have beeb taken care of and it's closed, but on the door it states they are open until 5pm.

Nice place to test your car for Uber or out of province or to check on car situation before you buy it.
Also very affordable oil change for 29$ without filter with 23 points check, synthetic oil for 49 with 23 points check. I hope this was useful

Excellent location. They actually take time to listen, without interrupting and provide a lengthy explanation of what's needed and why. Does that even happen anymore? I'd give 6 stars if it were possible.

Absolutely unprofessional behavior. They charge me 500 dollars and issue is still same and after receiving payment they dont want to listen any one. Dont fall in their trap. They are just stealing money from your pocket that's all I can say. Rude staff and rude receptionist.

Received a diagnosis from another mechanic which made me a bit skeptical. Called this Meineke location and they offered to take a second. They properly diagnosed the problem and gave me great, efficient and knowledgable service. Abdul was very polite and professional. I'm new to Calgary and most definitely will be coming back to this location.

I like that they take you into the garage area and show you exactly what they are repairing/replacing on your vehicle and why. They have always gone the extra mile for me and their oil change price is one of the best in the city.

Every employee I’ve dealt with greets you with a smile and the prices have been so fair compared to dealer prices. All services needed and performed were explained in a way I can understand and I’ll definitely be returning for future maintenance.
