I'm very conflicted leaving this review as this store has given me both the best service ever in the last few years and some weird service in the last week.
The best service I ever had was a couple of years ago when my old PC sounded like a coffee machine turned out it was the Harddrive failing. They were able to have it repaired and back to me in less then 3 days it was fantastic.
Fast forward to today. So I dropped my computer off on Nov. 25 and I didnt hear from the service department at all for the past 4 days so I decided to call them on my lunch break where I was told they had called and left a message on Nov 26 going into detail about what was wrong with My computer. So i checked my call logs and i didnt get a single call on Nov. 26.
I thought to myself whatever and I went ahead and approved the work that needed to be done. This evening I figured it would already be ready for pickup as all that needed to be done was was swapping out my ram and replacing a cooler easy enough. I went up to the repair desk and the guy was like did we call you for a pick up. I said no cause i figured the repairs were easy enough and after i approved the work it would have been done. Turns out that the repairs guy are all off and I won't be getting my computer back until Friday hopefully.

Anyways that's my story. Its just strange.

This is my favorite place to upgrade or buy pc never had any problems with returns if something didn't work everyone friendly and knowledgeable I'd like to shout out to Matt Mehl he helped my wife to get perfect laptop for her and help me build a new pc very happy thanks

I came here to buy a new mini-ITX intel motherboard as my last motherboard from gigabyte decided to die after 6 months of gaming with it. I showed the guy there the exact motherboard I had and he said they have an equivalent, just Asus brand. The salesman said all my parts I had before would work with this motherboard as it was equivalent. I said great, I'll buy it. Got home (I live 3 hours away) and started to rebuild my PC, turns out the new motherboard needed DDR5 ram, and my old motherboard used DDR4. I usually have good experiences at Memory Express which is why I trusted the salesman when he said it was equivalent but I'm a little upset he didn't mention that maybe I should've picked up some DDR5 ram or offered if I needed any as he SAW my old motherboard was DDR4. I told him that I had all the other parts from my last PC, so for him to tell me that my parts will work with the motherboard he sold me was false & I wish he would've told me that I may need DDR5 ram, I would've happily picked some up then & there but now I have to wait until I can order it in because I live in a small town & no electronic stores sell DDR5 near me. I was excited to get my PC back but the disappointment I felt when I realized the salesman partially lied to me & I'd have to wait another week to finish rebuilding my PC.

Sent an email asking some questions and got a call back same day. Was able to sort through my somewhat convoluted email, answer my questions and ultimately get me what I needed.

Thanks:)

Spent about 2000 for a new laptop along with 600 extra insurance on it and the first time I bring it in turns out there is mysterious residue that fried the motherboard after 1 month and cost me another 2000 to get repaired because apparently mysterious residue is not covered by insurance…a one month old laptop that has never seen a drop of liquid within 6 feet
12 July 2023 5:14
Terrible. Charged me 170 dollars to tell me my PC worked fine for it to be just as broken as when I brought it in.
10 June 2023 11:39
Good part selection. The employee who helped me pick out my part list was knowledgeable and made sure all the parts would be compatible with each other. They even tested the cpu, ram and other parts that connect directly to the mobo free of charge. While I was building the computer, I decided to add an extra fan and it was super easy to go back and grab one.
23 January 2022 1:49
I've built two PCs with Memory Express exclusively and the experience has been great each time. The staff is knowledgeable and able to help you pick parts that are the best fit for your build. They are able to explain the differences in price points without pushing you hard on the high end, each person who has assisted me wants to help me build a PC to MY specifications- only making suggestions on quality upgrades that make sense for me. I have never had a single issue to raise with them, always outstanding service.
21 January 2022 8:14
I have been going to memory express for years but today they have lost me as a customer. Today I think that I have seen some sketchy business practices. With limited stock there is supposed to be no reservations and no holding of stock as per corporate policy. Today I see that they have a specific video card in stock so I head into store to pick it up only to find that apparently some people are allowed to reserve stock. Of your a corporate store follow corporate policy, if you don't it makes you look like you have questionable business practices.

I would like to extend a huge thank you to Shane I, one of this locations senior associates. Not only is he very knowledgeable, but he thoroughly enjoyed helping me find a solution for my unique work needs. The computer I ended up buying is a solid piece of kit and I have supreme confidence in it knowing Shane helped me pick out the most important parts (namely CPU and cooling/case). I can not stress this enough just how awesome this guy was to do business with. A joy to visit this location as I get the feeling all of you are very genuine human beings. Shane even knew the history of the company which shows passion to me. Without him I would have purchased a machine not to my liking or even useful! Saved me for sure. His communication was spot on too as I requested a couple updates via email, he was quick to tell what's up. So overall, my last two major Memory Express purchases for computers has been stellar. I built the last one myself but unfortunately do not have the time (or patience) anymore to build this current one I got from Shane. The service department did a great job with that, cable management was good, everything worked as you'd expect a first time boot up would. Very smooth transition for me and I was installing the GPU myself at home too, so thanks again for the nice build. Activating windows was easy as it should be. For the money I got an excellent computer but most importantly, excellent service. Thanks again, all the best, and stay safe out there. I'll be back!
11 January 2022 13:22
Only place I'll go to when buying or building a computer, guys like Shane know what they're doing.

The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is their service department. Even with the warranty you'll be waiting a week or two if you ever bring your computer in for repair, unless you pay the $100 to put yourself at the top of the queue.
04 January 2022 17:11
Continued success is measured in employee happiness and attentiveness to the customer. Today Memory Express showed me that they are a continual success and should be looked to as a model business, for service and sales.
03 January 2022 17:03
Better than the north location for slightly less rude and arrogant customer service and a small degree of actual customer service.
01 January 2022 9:05
Two brand new faulty computers in a row. Horrible customer service. Saying they tested equipment and came up with the exact same issues. West end is no better with staff that have a complete and utter lack of caring about issues customers face. Hopefully brand new computer number three this week works otherwise I'll be refunding my purchase and will find elsewhere to shop. I don't need such a stand off attitude when trying to buy a working product. A simple "sorry you dealt with that let me make it right" instead "not my problem I didn't build it" goes a long way.

*update* My second time returning the pc it did not come with the listed keyboard and mouse which I did not notice until I'm the store but the guy didn't believe me that the pc that was mailed to me didn't come with it. I guess I'm a liar and I'm out a keyboard and mouse now. Thanks Memory Express

Went in this past weekend to salvage my ailing hard drive.the service team was friendly, efficient, generous and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
02 December 2021 20:53
I went to this location to purchase parts for my custom build computer.
Sam Keller (sales) was very knowledgeable. He answered all my questions as well as made recommendations.

On top of that, he went above and beyond to help me resolve a compatibility issue with one of the parts. He also followed up with me regarding availability of an out of stock item.

Excellent customer service. Thank you Sam!
25 November 2021 19:12
Amazing customer service and price beating, really happy to have a local option for my purchases. I've been there for whole PCs, parts, accessories, and repairs, and every time they've saved me money, treated me well, and never acted condescending to someone who doesn't know much about computers. Love love love these guys.
25 November 2021 5:39
Best place to buy PC parts in the city. Great selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Price match off major retailers making it a one stop shop for all PC related things.
19 November 2021 13:01
Geeks' paradise. To say the least. This is my go to place for computer goods and parts. You get all sorts of stuff here and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They provide good advice to you and they have never failed me. Wish they open a store near Windermere so I don't have to drive that much.
14 October 2021 1:43
Cory helped me with my online order. Offered helpful advice. Saved the cost of the thermal compound. Memory express assembled the components to help me out. They also updated the BIOS on my new mobo. I had an excellent experience and was so proud of the result from my build. Thank you, Memory Express. You are a solid service and parts supplier and it is much appreciated.
20 September 2021 18:58
Bought mulitiple pc's from memory express. Bought a new motherboard from them yesterday and ended up being doa and they won't do anything about it. Terrible loyalty service.
17 August 2021 19:51
Very disappointing experience! Just missing a piece of styrofoam, then JAMES the Manager can't proceed to refund me!
this is Marlon! The one for the Samsung 27' Monitor return!
02 August 2021 17:35
Great Service and work from Robert in the repair service department. Prepared me for the worst then took a look and he fixed! 20 minutes $25 part.
Simply the Best. Thank you!
02 August 2021 10:57
Shoutouts to Graham and the rest of the staff for being extremely helpful and considerate throughout my whole experience here. I’m someone who knows next to nothing about PCs and I called, gave them a price and within 10 minutes they had the list of everything I needed and put it all on hold for me. Then everything else I needed to buy (monitor, mouse, etc) we walked through in the store and bought all at once. Highly recommend
25 July 2021 11:58
Always awesome customer service been going here for about a decade now dont think I'd ever go anywhere else for tech parts. They also have top of the line tech if you can't find it at memory express you can't find it anywhere.
16 July 2021 23:41
Memory Express has never let me down. I go in there, PC illiterate, and they take their time and explain things to me. I would recommend Memory Express to anyone in the market for computers, monitors, or PC parts.
10 July 2021 22:48
Been having my computers built/bought/repaired here for more than 10 years, I think. Always knowledgable and always back up their products. Lately, it seems that every time I go in for service/help, I'm assisted by Megan, who's calm in the face of data crises, friendly and always super helpful.
09 July 2021 2:07
Went there to get thermal paste for my computer as it was overheating. I never did this myself so I asked for directions and the guy (I cant remember his name) was very helpful. He told me what I needed and how to do it step by step. I used to go to the memory express on the west end, but this one is much better. More friendly and helpful staff. It took me only 10 minutes to go in, get everything and leave.
08 July 2021 7:40
Thank you Megan for the great service, and to whomever is in the back taking care of the computers and making them run right!
You guys rock!
05 July 2021 7:13
Most Mem Express reps are great, but you do get the odd one that's rough at the counter and it's an awkward experience trying to figure out parts with them.

That being said, their service/policies/warranty is the best in town, they price match, it should just be your default parts store.
28 June 2021 14:55
These guys are the best. Their new store is beautiful. Don't worry if you need some tech advice they will advise you on things you didn't even think about. They even save critical stock for the little guys. They are the best and only computer source in Edmonton. Prices are the best in the world. They do not gouge you even though their us a silicon shortage. You are in the best hands here. And they have all the best stuff.
24 June 2021 16:23
Fantastic service! The line was longer than usual yet it moved swiftly through thanks to the number of employees at the counters! Excellent work!
09 June 2021 19:23
Matt was a fantastic help. Every question I had he answered quickly and he put himself in my position as a consumer. Give him a promotion!:)
31 May 2021 19:22
Memory Express is the only place I will buy computer components from. Good prices and knowledgeable friendly staff are their hallmarks. If they don't have it I probably didn't need it anyway.
30 May 2021 0:51
I called Gerald today to help me set up and understand the speakers I purchased last week. I was sure they were faulty but he took the time needed to help me confirm that it was simply a setup scenario. He saved me a lot of time and his help was offered willingly and professionally. Thank you Gerald!
25 May 2021 21:40
Great selection for all your custom computer needs. They built 2 desktops for me years ago and I just picked up a killer laptop. They did a few upgrades really quickly. Great staff.knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend this place if you want a tailor built system.they have all the parts and knowledge to make it happen for a great price!
25 May 2021 20:43
Spent thousands and have to wait for repairs when the machine I bought was for work. They won't even replace the product they are gonna ship it around the country and make me wait
23 May 2021 11:51
The guy at Memory Express was very helpful, informative, and not at all condescending to me regarding my purchase. I appreciate that.
15 May 2021 1:59
I used to use this store, but I will not be shopping here any longer. As a lifelong resident of Edmonton I am standing up for the rights of disabled people. The disabled have been given mask exemptions and there are several businesses that are not honouring this. Many of them are denying us services without any consideration what harm wearing a mask does to our existing medical situation. The stores are not doctors and are not honouring are exemptions given to us by the city of Edmonton and the province of Alberta. I have had many stores refuse me business and I have been attacked in stores buy customers who think they are the mask police. I was recently swarmed by 5 people in another local business. They were all swearing at me and one customer physically assaulted me. At another business the staff and manager got way out of hand and caused an epileptic seizure to a friend of mine. The ambulance had to come and this was an added expense to the taxpayers that was totally avoidable. The business Community needs to realize that they are all connected in one way or another and that their actions have consequences. I do not interfere with anybody else and their shopping experience so there is no valid reason for us disabled to be treated the way we are being treated. I have recommended my friends to this shop in the past and I will no longer be recommending them and we'll be making a complete stand for the rights of disabled people. Everybody has received help during this covid except the disabled community. Just about every business is crying for the locals to support their businesses. I get physically assaulted in a business just because I want to spend money? I will be taking all of my business out of all local businesses and be shopping on Amazon. When I buy my new computer it will not be from any retailer in Edmonton or Alberta. Plus, when I buy my new car I will be not buying it in the province of Alberta. The actions of all retailers towards the disabled Community has been totally disgusting. The vast majority of able-bodied people have been smashing disable door actuator so that if you go around the city about 80% of these actuators are not working. This is vandalism that cost a business money and is also vandalism that targets A specific group of people. Note to any customers who think they are the covid-19 and can attack a disabled person verbally and physically that we are now battling together and will be seeking legal action. Businesses must do more to prevent their customers from attacking disabled customers. Attacking a disabled customer who's over 50 years of age is totally disgusting. Bye bye local Edmonton businesses and I have no sympathy for any of you who go out of business. Hello Amazon! And just an FYI to the customers who think they can attack disabled customers who have a legitimate mask exemption. You can be legally charged and you are not the mask police. Funny how the customers would not accept the disabled person's mask exemption but then they came up to physically attack the disabled person and violate the two metre rule. And another FYI not all disabled people are stupid just because you think they are. Many of us disabled are well-educated and just because you think we're stupid and that you have the right to attack us you are surely wrong. We are uniting and are fighting back. To the ownership of Memory Express we disabled are sorry that we have to do this, but it is your fellow business owners that are causing grief to the disabled community and affecting our lives in a great manner. If you think this has no impact on you, I will let you know otherwise. When I go to a certain business and recommend it there are about 20 other customers that are tied to me. Then there is Visions just next door to you which I have shopped at in the past and will no longer be shopping there as well. I have had stores tell me that I should just stay home. Disgusting! Then I had another store say oh maybe I should just shop on their online website after they mistreated me. Yes, I will shop online at amazon.
06 May 2021 13:14
Every other store I called told me to go to “memory express it’s a great place” so I called, told them I needed help with my gaming monitor and they said “no” so impolitely and was rude about it then hung up!
21 April 2021 20:19
Customer service was terrible on the repair side. There wasn’t any acknowledgement when we were waiting in line. My wife and I waited for 45 mins and no employees acknowledged we were there. We decided to leave. We were first in line the whole time, one of the guys who were done with the customer instead of acknowledging us he took a phone call instead. People and business in Alberta really needs to work on their customer service side because it is terrible everywhere.
28 March 2021 14:50
Always such a great experience. The guys are super helpful and knowledgeable. They also work with your budget too. My husband has gone here twice to build his computer and has been super happy with them. Dallas was very helpful when he was in this last time.
15 March 2021 20:31
Just shopped here they were informative and had good but non pushy suggestions. They're a little covid paranoid but we'll meaning people.
12 March 2021 19:59
These guys were able to sell me both a 1660 Super and a 3070 in a pandemic, during a GPU supply shortage and despite scalper prices they still sold them to me for MSRP.
A1 in my books.

P. S. I actually did upgrade both mine and my s.o's computer, thanks guys!
12 March 2021 18:41
I've recently moved to Alberta from another province and I started having a very weird issue with my computer as it was randomly freezing or turning off. I went there and the initial diagnostic was that all the hardware was fine. But it ended up my computer was still having issues at home. I came back at the store three times and at the third time, the tech reassembled everything in the computer without any additional charges. Now it's working fine, so it looks like it was a loose wire somewhere. The staff was very patient and comprehensive of my concerns and I never felt unwelcome there. They only charged me for one diagnostic. I'm very satisfied of the ending and will definitely go back if I have any other issues or if I wanna buy a new computer. I think I found my spot for computer stuff in Edmonton. The only issue though is they should fix their phone system because I tried several times to call them for questions and the phone system wasn't working.
10 March 2021 22:32
Okay, I am inarguably biased. In the 100 or so years that I have been dealing with Memory Express, I have had 100% satisfaction with my experiences there - no matter the location. I got the internal hard drive power cable I needed today in under 5 mins. No muss, no fuss. They are always reliably knowledgeable and are willing to handle each incidence with the needed depth of expressing that knowledge, whether I need my usual Oldzheimers hand holding explanation or, like today, no embellishment at all. Everyone in our households, from simple emailers to hard core gamers/system builders have absolute confidence in Memory Express's solutions. Fear not.
19 February 2021 17:41
Fantastic service. Brought my laptop in and they had it diagnosed and fixed in record time. The people I dealt with at the service desk were helpful and knowledgeable. And the service tech I dealt with was super friendly and very informative. Great work, will be a customer at this memory express for life.
16 February 2021 2:41
Great service. Received some very good help from Graham who helped me choose some parts to build a couple computers for my son and I. Very much appreciated.
21 February 2019 4:00
The only place to buy and service tech in Edmonton that won't rip you off. Chord that sells foe $25 at Bestbuy/Futureshop goes for $5 at Memory Express.
19 February 2019 11:30
Great place to shop. Very friendly customer service. Decent selection of products. Have shopped here before and will again.
16 February 2019 11:29
Tl;dr: You can get better communication, price, and help in any other store in Canada. And save you money, time and patience.

Edit: I was approached by MemoryExpress here and on reddit and they seems genuinely concerned into improving my experience, so I gave them my personal information as they asked.
I increased one star on the rating and I wish I had this willingness to help on the first interactions I tried with them.
-

When I arrived on Canada, one of our teachers was always suggesting this store. I checked a few products online were not in stock (special order, preorder or backorder) I tried to inquire about those and the expectation of arrival. Never got a message back or someone answering a call.
As people never say they gave a bad advice, they try to drag you deep with some excuse: Wow, you should go to a store, they are nice, you will enjoy it, they always try to help you with a good deal, my friend went there yesterday and got the parts you need with nice price, and they also blababal.

I asked which store, and I went there (I went to costco, and since it was nearby I would not lose much time).
From the outside the store looks nice, ample parking, almost empty. From the inside is ample as well, sadly I could not check around because when I got after the second door I was dragged to one of the cashiers, the guy asked what I want, went inside grabbed the parts he wanted me to buy and wanted me to pay.
Can I see the prices first?
The prices were not that off from their online store except from the GPU as I checked the prices when I got back home. But way worse from every other store.

I questioned the brands he got me, and if he would have something else, like ADATA, HP, MSI.
SSD m. 2 - WD - "We only work with the best brands. " (when I got back home I checked online and they sell the "not best brand" ADATA)
GPU - Gigabyte gaming something - "We only have this model"

I have nothing against those models, my mobo is gigabyte, I was not familiar with that model because I haven't see it around. I might be out of the loop, but WD was super proud of only making magnetic disk, and they were pretty good at it.
He just show me the box of the m. 2 and point to the speed in printed in there. "best brand"

I was not there to have an argument about quality or semantics,
I was not asking for any in depth explanation either that would take a lot of his time,
But I would appreciate not being treated like a credit card with a quota to beat be the end of the day.
I bet if I was a kid I would get something like: "it is colorful and has gaming in the name what else do you need"

Ok, do you beat the prices right? (that would save me at least 100 bucks)
-Not from Canada Computers
-Not from amazon third party
. I should have asked if they cover from their own online store.

I tried to leave the most polite way I could think of:
Do you guys do boxing day?
_yeah
Ok, I think I will come back by then. Thank you.

I really wished to like this store, I also really liked to know the store better. Because they have it in my city and it would be practical. But I just know the door, two steps in and the cashier.

Maybe I was already with a poor first impression of the store to insist on the human interaction, or maybe I should have not insisted into this place at all.

But at least this motivated me to write this.
16 February 2019 2:52
Extremely disappointed in boxing day at memory Express.

The floor was closed for browsing? ! How am I supposed to know what I am buying before I get to the store to browse.

Future notice: you need to have your 'list', wait in a long line with no music and nothing to browse and all I get to listen to is loud male voices yelling "next, I'll help you down here", next, next.

Not a good retail business if you ask me, just order online.
10 February 2019 16:20
Great store when it comes to buying something, but when it comes to returning defective parts or service it's an absolute nightmare.they keep one staff working their custumer service department while a mile long queue forms.all of this while all the other employees sit there twiddling their thumbs.
08 February 2019 10:40
Imagine a store where the employees are actually helpful and knowledgeable. Imagine a wide selection of products, a friendly atmosphere, and excellent service. Now, stop imagining and go to Memory Express. They've got lots of reasonably priced computer supplies, the employees are genuinely interested not only in helping you, but also in helping you get the best deal for your purposes, and if you buy a motherboard and CPU, they'll even seat said CPU for FREE, if you're willing to wait 20 minutes. An excellent price, considering you don't have to worry about spreading the thermal paste! All in all, excellent service and fantastic place to go. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to build or upgrade their computer, even somebody with no prior experience.
31 January 2019 18:41
The service is always wonderful and helpful. Any questions you have will be answered in a friendly manner. They conduct themselves incredibly in boxing day despite the large influx of people. Their IPR removes a lot of stress, and theres always good sales. Cant say enough good about them
31 January 2019 4:07
Generally the best prices in town. Friendly and helpful staff.
Problems that have affected my view of ME, poor customer service. They have a 15 day price protection policy. I went in cause an item I bought from them was discounted (during black Friday week) and was told they don't price match at the time. I replied, so you don't have 15 day price protection? They did refund me, but I shouldn't have to argue how stupid/greasy it is to cancel your own policy because you are having a sale.
Inventory issues. More than once their site has listed an item in stock and it isn't. I even tried to circumvent this by calling as well. Recently I went to the store after talking to staff to confirm inventory. Get there, no stock.
25 January 2019 2:23
I love buying my computer hardwarde from Memory Express, but the experience of visiting this store is no longer pleasant.
Then the problem is too many guys on the floor in store and probably not enough store sales. So they will keep coming and talking to you. As a costumer i want to come into a store to see and feel a product (s) and take my time to understand the differences between specs, material use etc and we are talking at the most 5 - 10 mins. I dont necessarily need a floor guy to follow me while i check them out, just because he doesnt have work to do, which from observations seems to be the case and coming across desperate for a sale. It leaves a really bad store experience. Be classy not desperate.
13 January 2019 13:11
Don't go here to browse. All of the monitors, TVs and PCs aren't labelled at all, so you need to try to find someone to ask about them. Not worth the time.
11 January 2019 3:05
Great Service, quick and friendly. Had an issue with a cheap laptop I purchased on Black Friday from another box store. That box store was going to charge me a fee just to leave my laptop there to look at. I got a recommendation to try the memory express by my house. Called, spoke with Luke, explained my situation, told me that it sounds like something they can check for free and go from there. True to his word, the front desk staff also explained that they could do a couple of checks and see if they can find the problem for free. Boom. 5 minutes. Problem solved. Parts in store were $40. With a 1yr warranty. Half the price the box store quoted me just to leave my laptop to diagnose. Money and time are tight for me. They saved me both. I appreciate that!
07 January 2019 2:02
Good range of products, knowledgable staff, good pricing, and an excellent warrantee system. Hands down my place for parts and prebuilt systems and accessories.
04 January 2019 12:09
So after leaving my charging cables at home, I had to make a quick trip to MemEx for a replacement TypeA-C cable. This new store is real clean and laid out nicely, and the guy up front quickly went off and got the cable I required. Though if you wanted, you could spend hours here
22 December 2018 13:36
Very short staffed no one 2 help us with 2 Tablets or gaming laptops. Phone was ringing off the hook. Only 1 person waiting in each line. Need a faster system as they are memory Express. The guys sitting in the repair shop were just that sitting. Not answering the non stop ringing phone. Didnt come out 2 offer assistance to me and my daughter. So we left
19 December 2018 1:50
The staff here get it. They know their stuff and can recommend the best products for your needs. This is a great place to check first for yout computer needs.
18 December 2018 8:16
Quick service, helpful staff, they were able to answer my technical questions properly. Highly recommended if you need a computer or even computer help.
16 November 2018 8:18
I visited the south location today regarding a repair on my crashed server. I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to James (front desk repair) and Chris (repair tech) for helping me with my urgent repair of my server. Without my server, our clinic would have been inoperable. Their customer service was top notch. Chris was able to find out the issue, fixed it, and returned my server within the hour. Thank you Chris for being so patient with me even though I was extremely stressed out. I recommend to everyone to always get the full warranty on all the builds just in case. You never know when that warranty will come in handy like what happened to my server. I always get the full warranty and I have bought over 20 PCs over the last ten years. I am just ecstatic that Chris was able to fix my server. Thanks again!

They play a bit of a marketing game and are more expensive than most places. I'd rather not have to price beat every single purchase because they want to take advantage of customers who don't know any better. Is making an extra $10 on one purchase from that customer really worth more than my 15 purchases a month? With Amazon 1-day shipping coming, MemExp may be in a little bit of trouble if they don't start appealing to customers. Everyone who is spending any kind of money knows what PCPartPicker is!

Had I been given the opportunity to leave a lower score I surely would have taken it upon myself to do so.

Have had both positive and negative experiences at this location, seems to be dependent upon the service rep that I'd been designated to.

I had a faulty MSI 970 Gaming motherboard. Was well aware that the motherboard was at fault, as I had run several testing benchmarks and confirmed that for some reason or another, the motherboard was throttling the rest of the components attached to it. No problem, took it in to the service department to get it fixed as i had warranty (a complete waste of funds as they charged me $50 to look at it anyway), after returning on three different occasions over the course of two weeks, they has convinced themselves that nothing was wrong with the part. As the service rep was returning my setup to me, it hardlocked and shut down twice in front of him, to which i inquired "so there's nothing wrong with it eh? " He gave me no response and claimed the tech's had tested it already. Either someone is not fit to be working in that position or they are under the influence. Took the setup back and RMA'd the motherboard, ordered a new asus board elsewhere and the problem had been rectified.

Most of the reps also seem to be under the impression that their customers are ignorant to product information and overall parts knowledge. Incredibly arrogant individuals that all seem to share a mentality of "I'm just doing my job, blame someone else. " Lovely, so not only are you're incapable of exercising your thought process beyond the scope of "your job", but you practice such ignorance willingly.

Will be taking my business elsewhere, I suggest you do the same.

Strong on computers

If you are building a PC or getting on repaired. This is the place to go. They hav expanded in to cameras and home theatre and find that they are not really there yet. Pretty sparse selection out of computers and product knowledge is spotty.
