Bought a Lenovo Laptop from them a couple months back, that experience was seamless and an excellent experience.

3 days ago I began having issues with charging the device, after some troubleshooting and testing of my own (I work in IT myself) I determined the issue was related to the power adapter.

Since I was within 90 day warranty I brought the device in to get the adapter replaced, hopefully for free. They did not have any replacements on hand, which is fine. I left the device with them to do some troubleshooting on. What I do not understand is why they would need my superuser password to troubleshoot a physical issue? That seems like a breach of privacy and is a huge risk to consumers. Two days later they informed me that they needed to send the device back to the refurbisher to replace the port, and to come pick my device up so I can backup my data. I highly doubted it was due to the port, so I went to Best Buy to purchase a replacement adapter. Sure enough the new adapter fixed the charging issues.

It seems like their troubleshooting process is deeply flawed if they require root level access to a device for troubleshooting a HARDWARE issue, only to come to an INCORRECT conclusion on what the source of the issue is. Will not be bringing any of my devices back here for warranty in the future.

I came in with a Frankenstein desktop I've been adding parts to for 5 years and bricked it trying to update the bios. I walked up to Tim and explained my problem. He listened. I explained I also had a list of parts I wanted to make a new Frankenstein build. He listened gave me a quote and had the desktop the motherboard assembled with the processor already on it along with the ram (ram is easy but it's a nice to do) within about 30 minutes. I played a round of fortnite on the ultra wide surround screen and got a couple kills. But as I was building the pc I had to come back and buy a Fan for the processor and undid everything I had built in the pc today. Thanks Tim I learnt how to build a pc that day!

Memory Express is my definite go to for all electronics, great selection and the staff are always willing to help and they know their stuff! My only reason I’ve given a 4 and not a 5 star is because I find sometimes their hours are a bit frustrating on the weekends. Most electronic stores are open until 7 or 8, but Memory Express closes at 6 on the weekends a little earlier than most, as someone who works nightshift I usually don’t have time to make it before 6 on which forces me to go to a competitor as I always want to see a item in person rather than online shopping. Other than that, I definitely recommend them.

Amazing place to spend all your hard earned moneys at! This place is always busy, so bring some time, especially on special sales days! Staff is very busy and therefore tends to get on to the next customer fast. If you need some time to gather info and chat, come on a week day in the morning or evening and they give you all their attention. Amazing in store warranty service as well.

Bought all the parts to build a pc from here. They were super helpful in finding the best products at great prices, and helping me figure out extacly what I needed. Great service! Even helped me put together some of the parts for free. Would 100% recommend this location.

Went in to build a new pc. Sales associate James helped me find all the right parts while working within my budget.was super friendly and answered all my questions. Would highly recommend going here if you are wanting a quality pc and great service.

It's an ok store, not a great atmosphere, hard to find a salesperson that will talk to you. You have to go stand in line at the sales counter for almost everything. They still have plexiglass at the counters left over from covid, so its hard to talk to counter staff. Prices are fair. If im in a hurry for something, I will visit this store. Otherwise, I would prefer to just shop online.

Infinitely defective products, replaced a mouse over 5x now. Constantly lasting 3 days to 1 week before completely breaking mid work. IPR takes 5 day investigation with no in term replacement. They don’t even call when the item is ready for pickup also, waited over a month before.

Pretty unhappy with the service and quality of items “opened by memory express”

I went in to buy a new gaming headset and the guy at the counter recommended one to me that he claimed was top of the line and sound and mic quality was amazing.long story short the sound was ok but the mic was terrible.my friends in discord described it as "it sounds like your talking through a pillow and can barely understand you cause it keeps peaking". So I went to return it the next day cause it costed 250 dollars and I was told that they cant do anything about it cause its on final sale, even tho I was lied to about the quality.being final sale is something they should have to tell you before buying it and the guy at the register should get a talking to about lying to the customers.so long story short they have lost my business and I wouldn't trust a word they say about their products

Honestly the best place to get anything for your PC. Literally no reason to go anywhere else. Everyone is experienced and trained with what they sell and know their product. Had them do my case swap and the craftsmanship they have is immaculate, price for their labor is very reasonable. Came by a week later to get a new gaming mouse and spoke with Hassan and the guy was able to find the exact mouse I was looking for, and when I wanted some simple speakers for my set up knew the best bang for my buck and didn't try to run me up on something I didn't need. Wish I got the name of the big guy at the service desk with the beard, he was awesome too when pricing out my next build.

Will always have my business!

Let me just say these guys care, like they actually care about you and your needs unlike other locations have treated me. Whether you go in for a 10 dollar item or a 1000 dollar item they will give you 110% each and every time, I’ve personally dealt with JAMES and he was super super helpful. I myself don’t know anything and these guys are experts at what they do. Its worth every bit of the extra drive to come here on the west end to check these guys out. I’ve heard great things about all the other guys from friends of mine as well, they have the patience that most of us wish we had! Keep it up!

My boyfriend sends me here when he needs things for his PC because it's near my work. Whenever I go, I show the staff a picture of what I need and they do the rest. They are amazing and make my no PC knowledge life easier. So huge thanks to the staff.

First encounter was really bad but I am Changing my review mainly due to the great service of Paul the manager at this store. I never had the pleasure of speaking to him but he took care of my gf in getting me a gift I was after for sometime now. They found me and reached out to me after leaving my review which was very bad and has left me with a very sour taste in my mouth. They were able to turn this whole experience positive. I really apreciate the follow up service we had received it was professional and quick but best of all made easy for my gf even with no knowledge at all. I will be back because of this service and will recommend this store

This Review is for Brian at this memory express location!

Brian was a wonderful help from the beginning to the end of our dealings. I first met him when I brought in a computer tower I bought from best buy that was having cooling issues. We looked at possible cooling options and came to the conclusion that we didn't really have any options just due to the available space. He thankfully suggested that I see about returning the computer to best buy and building a custom computer with memory express. That very same day I had the computer returned to best buy and was calling him giving him the go ahead. In the end I did end up spending a heck of a lot more money then I did at best buy but I got the computer I had been dreaming of so for me it was completely worth it. He didn't pressure me to do anything, just gave me quality information and guided me thru part selection.

Bought a $3000 computer here. It was built incorrectly. They installed the OS on a different drive than I had asked them to. I don't believe they quality tested the machine as one of the front fans wobbles and makes a screeching sound and the GPU has very bad coil whine even under minimal load.

When I complained I was told to book it for service despite it only being a day after.

When I returned recently I was told that the sales floor is closed so a person cannot even browse for a new mouse or keyboard.
At this point in the pandemic with masks, vaccines and other policies I think this is way overkill and makes shopping here hard.

I was denied entry even though I'm mask exempt they are no longer the store they once were I will be looking for another place to do business with. I used to recommend them to my clients however I will not be doing that any longer.

Good selection and helpful staff. However they're still pretty strict on covid 'safety', which significantly slows to shopping experience. If your nervous about it, this is a good thing for you:) but be prepared to wait in queue.
Personally I look forward to going back without all the roped areas and plexi walls.

If you want to be treated like a second class citizen this is the place to do it. Called in for a 2 new fans and as iv spend well over 15 grand with this company over the years you would think they would be a bit better to their returning customers. Called in for the parts and the rep was helpful and by all means, the only person who was helpful, and told me to come in to pick them up, and we will sort out the details of the parts once i arrive. There i was met by a receptionist whom insisted i stand outside because i was "required" to where a mask. I mentioned i have a medical exemption that the bylaw does indeed support, i was told to stand out side and wait to be served. A guy came out to bring be my parts of which was not even give an option on choice of brand of product. Id love to see what this store will do on July 1st in continuing to violate basic human rights and unprecedented second class treatment based on your looks, because everyone they're is just "doing their job".

The staff are nice, quick and will answer your questions. Just be sure to have the SKUs of the product/s you want to buy ready to show the cashier.

Occasionally the wait can be a bit of a hassle, especially if the front counters are understaffed. Front door staff pretty quickly noticed me and led me to the back for help completing my purchase though.

Isles are open again, but its become confusing to tell where you are supposed to line up so some signage or something of the sort would be helpful.

Memory Express always goes above and beyond our expectations. Was disconnected three times while asking questions about motherboards and the sales representative called us back a few days later after tracking down our info in the system.

We always try to buy through ME before any other vendor. You can't go wrong if you have access to one for your computer needs.

Out of stcok video card, could be 4 to 6 months wait, but no guarantee. Looks like only China is the place you dont need wait can get it right away.

Store is open, but only for pickup. Shelves are stocked but browsing is not permitted due to pandemic. So, peruse their website before you arrive. Call, and ask them to put aside your purchase. They will ask for your phone number. Upon arrival they will confirm your phone number, take your money and then you are out the door. Their tech support is best spoken to on the phone. Just sayin.

Great selection of PC hardware and peripherals. I even managed to snag a RTX30xx Series card from here =).

A big "thank you! " to the supportive and courteous Customer Service team who helped me with a warranty issue I had with Cooler Master.
Dealing with CM directly would have been a nightmare but the folks at ME took care of everything for me.

I probably would have given 4.5 stars if that was an option and only because they are having a bit of trouble keeping things in stock. The customer service is excellent, by far the best in Edmonton. They have very knowledgeable staff who seem to be as excited about your new laptop as you are. Super helpful over the phone and very well managed in store as well. Oh, and the prices are fair too! If you need computer related things and stuff you should go here first. Also, no I don't work for them but I have purchased several laptops from them over the years.

An absolute joke if I could I would rate it 0.5 Stars. Took my monitor in nothing but a painful headache was told 1 to 5 business days because I purchase the extended warranty. Would not give me a loner monitor which meant I had to take those days off of work because I work from home so I am out of pay for 5 days! Day five rolls around they finally looked at it and assess the problem and it is a warranty issue. So now they're ordering in a new monitor which is going to take me into the next week in to days 8 and 9! I highly suggest Memory Express gets there game together! I also suggest to customers buy the extended warranty through the manufacturer and not Memory Express.

Great prices, got a mouse that's usually $120 for $50 for cyber monday. Do most of my computer and component shopping at Memory Express (south or west, both are great). Staff are always helpful and give you honest, knowledgeable answers but don't pressure you to buy. I always recommend them to people looking for computers and components.

Usually I always recommend memory express but after today I will have a hard time reccomending them. Went to price match a deal that is still active at the time of writing this review and they said they would not do it all because it was an extended deal from black Friday. When I questioned the manager as to why they couldn't match a current promotion from another retailer he just defaulted to "it would be below cost". I am also a retail manager and sometimes there may be a deal or two that might mess with profit margins for that particular day but to maintain a good customer relationship and for customer service you should be able to do it no problem. Be careful with who you deal with at this location. Never had an issue with price matching the odd product here and there until today. Adam M.has always been a great help to me so if you must go to this location and need help from a sales associate I would recommend Adam M.

I typically like memory express at least in the past but some of there cashier's need a serious attitude adjustment. I was in tonight with my wife and the cashier was extremely arrogant, made us both feel as though we where inconveniencing him.

When purchasing a 1600 dollar computer, I was upsold on their extended warranty. It is my fault and responsibility for not reading their website, but when the sales rep said that minor physical damage wouldn't affect the warranty, I just bit on what he said. A year and a half later, my ASUS zenbook cratered for a defective motherboard, this is a common issue with these computers. Memory Express refused to honor the warranty due to a minor ding on the corner of the computer, and the manager straight up told me they goto small claims over these issues quite a bit. Memory Express has a great reputation, however, I would be weary of any extended warranty you purchase from them. At least, read on your own about what the warranty covers, because it cost me a lot of money midway through an engineering program to replace.

Helpful staff and great pricing. The team at memory express have been my “go to” since 2000. Whether you’re picking up something for home or for the business, they’re usually very competitive and have great selection. I wouldn’t hesitate to give them a ring. The website is pretty awesome as well.

The clerks where helpful, well informed and polite. Best PC store ever. The crazy old man in front of me with the 20 year old computer ranting about the government hacking his computer and my cell phone waves assaulting him and how I'm a Satanist for working for a telecom company (my clothing gave me away) was a bit of an experience dampener. However the clerk politely asked the man to focus on the task at hand instead of ranting and he claimed down. All in all fully entertaining and I got a great deal on RAM!

Wicked place to deal with. I got a headset after only a couple uses it started shocking my ear. I was unable to return them for a couple months due to working out of town, brought them back and they exchanged them for a new pair. Don't think amazon could touch that customer service.
