He's slow to respond, making you wonder if your event even made it onto his radar until the eleventh hour. Chill out bucko, we've got party plans, not a tortoise race!

Now, let's dive into the culinary catastrophe that was the late lunch. Picture this: soggy, sad meat sandwiched between buns that seemed more depressed than a wilting flower. It was like eating a lunch that had been banished to the shadow realm of flavor – doo-doo indeed.

And don't even get me started on the coat check situation. I mean, it's Edmonton in winter, folks! With a venue that can seat almost 600 party animals, you'd think they'd have a coat check bigger than Aunt Mildred's hat collection. Spoiler alert: they don't. It's like trying to fit an elephant into a phone booth – cramped and uncomfortable.

Oh, and let's not forget the bathroom blunder. Guests had to channel their inner detectives and hunt down the staff to restock the essentials. I didn't know I was signing up for a scavenger hunt when I RSVP'd!

Lastly, those flickering colored lights lining the ceiling? It felt like being trapped in a carnival funhouse, minus the fun. Meridian Banquets, you gave us an unexpected light show, but trust me, we were not here for it.

Every aspect of this venue, from the helpful and kind owners to the overall ambiance, is nothing short of remarkable.

Had our wedding reception at Meridian in August 2023. The venue is fantastic, in great shape and has benefited from some recent renovations, providing an exceptional foundation for our decor that was very impressive. Rocky and his Dad were great to work with, very organized and made themselves available to answer questions in the weeks and months leading up to the event as needed. The food was incredible - I don't think I've talked to anyone since the wedding who hasn't brought up how good it was, and the service matched. Would highly recommend to anyone - we had an awesome experience.

Been to countless functions here, and Meridian has never disappointed! Great food options, great staff and excellent bar area. Keep up the great work Ricky and Rocky!

I attended a wedding ceremony at this location
It was pleasant than I had a a fun time
The facility was clean neat and tidy everything was organized
Most importantly in the crowd of the place like this
Usually the restrooms are very bad
But I was astonished that the restrooms were really clean and neat
Well maintained and no foul odour
Which is an extra point for attention

Nice comfortable place for events.although it was pouring outside but enjoyed the function

Food provided from the Indian restaurant beside the venue was excellent, especially the garlic mashed potatoes. The venue was spacious and had lots of big screen projectors and a medium sized dance floor. Did not partake in drinking at the cash bar but other people's drinks looked good. Tables were large and decorations were nice.

Bathroom was clean and lots of space in the stalls.

Unsure if the photo booth was provided by the banquet hall or an outside service but it was good and there were lots of accessories and props.

Temperature was alright but it did get a bit stuffy towards the end, however there were a lot of people present.

Food were more than good, quality, verity and quantity. Ricky and Rocky you made our Easter fundraising event a memorable event. Thanks

We have been capturing wedding receptions at Meridian Banquet Hall and it was perfect each time. The hall is one of the biggest places to hold parties in Edmonton. We would highly recommend this place for any kind of events.

Mashed potatoes was the star of this experience. The only downfall is they put a dark brown sauce that 90% of the people assumed was gravy but turned out to be Samosa sauce and there was no gravy: (A fancy dinner without any beef option available was also a first for me. Food in buffet was also quite slow coming out so most people had to go back to the buffet several times to get all items that were supposed to be there. Vegetables were also severely undercooked. Music was relaxing instrumental versions of popular music.

I had a chance to shoot a wedding Meridian Banquets and this place is lovely to shoot it's a beautiful ambience with large halls. It's a perfect hall for people who like to have receptions and dance floors. I loved the ceiling lights with different colors provided a good look on my images.food was amazing as well! Will definitely recommend this location for any events!
