MIC Medical Imaging - Summit Centre

Other than the radiologist, I have no problem with this location or staff. The ultrasound tech was very kind and professional. However, when the radiologist came to discuss results, he was very insensitive, asking a completely inappropriate question to someone experiencing a miscarriage and “mansplaining” the details of the situation. It’s 2023. Do better.

A wonderful experience. All the staff are polite, welcoming, friendly and efficient. The waiting room and exam room are very clean and the lady doing my scan, Erica, made me feel comfortable and at ease. She explained the procedure and made sure I was comfortable throughout.
I highly recommend this clinic.

Amazing service! I walked in for an xray and they had me in and out in under a half hour. The most walk-in walk-in I've ever experienced. The front end staff was personable and the xray tech was quick and very compassionate. Would absolutely recommend this location!

I hear a lot of negative feedback about Alberta’s health care system, but I would like to say my experience at this location has been nothing but the best I have ever experienced. Easy to make an appointment. Very little time spent in waiting room. Tech was very professional and friendly. Results from US posted same day on AHS website. Parking can be a little problematic at times at this location.

I was referred for an echocardiogram. My appointment was set for an early timing yesterday morning, which wasn't my ideal, but it needed to be done.

The reception staff were lovely, and my time in the waiting room was practically non-existant; I had barely sat down when they called my name to take me to the change area!

My wait after changing wasn't long either, and the technician who performed my procedure was so friendly and personable, though unfortunately I can't remember her name. She made me feel very comfortable during my time in the exam room, and she finished much more quickly than I anticipated!

A very positive experience overall. I applaud the staff I interacted with for their exemplary work in all aspects.

I had an echocardiogram today at MIC Summit Centre in St. Albert. My technologist was Amanda. She is absolutely the best. I was very anxious having to have the heart exam but Amanda explained the procedure to me and it made me feel very calm. I would highly recommend this place.

Friendly staff and they do their best so you can feel comfortable during the exam. I've been doing all my pregnancy ultrasounds here and been liking it a lot. The last exam I did was for baby anatomy and even though my baby was super busy moving and kicking around, making it extra hard for the professionals, they had lots of patience and kindness and did a great job! It took an extra time and effort from them, and they kept the good mood! Thank you so much!

Easily accessible location with plenty of parking. I was ushered in a few minutes ahead of my appointment. Staff was very friendly and my tech, Sam, was fantastic. Set me at ease and carried light conversation during my procedure making it much more relaxed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this location.

You guys should not ask a 37 weeks pregnant woman to come in with full bladder and then make her wait 30 minutes!

Friendly staff. Covid protocol. Watch your cell for a text instructing you to stay in your car. Text 5 when you arrive. They called when I was supposed to come in and did the covid screening on the phone.

My name is Maureen Fox, I had an appointment at 3: 10pm on September 17,2020.

The Tech inquires if this is a routine mammogram and I reply no that my Doctor found two small lumps.

She reads the requisition and states no information as I had related to her. She then states there is no point in proceeding with the mammogram as there is no Radiologist on duty.

I reply that I took time off work to get this appointment and that I want this procedure performed.

The Tech argues no, that I should return Friday September 18,2020, when the radiologist is present and will order the ultra sound after the mammogram if suspicious.

I still request for the procedure and ask her to check my file as I have attended Summit Medical Imaging Centre for over 25 years.

She leaves the room and then brings in another staff member who argues the same points with me. I insist on proceeding as one does not walk in at their own discretion and demand medical procedures. An appointment is always required as other patients have already booked their own appointments for their own needs.

I have never experienced a situation so bizarre!

We got a requesition pretty last minute from the family doctor, and they were hopping at the MIC.
That being said, my daughter is autistic and she was in full blown sensory overload (and I was getting to the breaking point too). We were in within 5-7 minutes of checking in, and the XRay technicians were beyond fantastic with my little girl, and they gave great emotional support to me too. Thank you for everything you do, and for helping end the experience on a high note.

Ladies of the front desk are friendly, special thanks to technition Kayla, she is lovely, friendly and very polite. Highly recommend this place

Went in for ultrasound, no waiting (which is nice with a very full bladder)
Technician was professional and explained everything as he went. Was in and out in less than 30 min.

Had a teribble experience with last cortisone injections to the knees. I was left in so much pain I needed a wheelchair just to get around the house. When I called to see the Dr.again to see if anything could be done I was told it is not allowed. " We don' t take complaints" us whay I was told and that all I could do is ask that this Dr.not be allowed to do my injections in the future.
This is disgusting! Patients can no longer see the doctor as needed. Drs.are no longer held accountable for their actions. MIC Managers will not accept a call or from a client. That is even more disgusting and unprofessional in my opinion!
