Another customer's dog was chewing on the products I wanted. The dog caused hundreds of dollars of damage by chewing and no one stopped them. I didn't know dogs were allowed and won't be back, because who wants chewed up damaged art supplies?

What a great experience. First time going into the store solo. Usually the Mrs.goes in and I follow to carry stuff. I went to get some supplies for a Christmas present for the Mrs, and as I walked in, a young lady asked me if I needed help. I took her up on her offer and she took me right to where I needed to go to get yarn. She helped me with the sizing and even offered her input on color. I wish I would have gotten her name, she was fantastic. I can see why my wife raves about this store.

This is my happy place, although the manager at this location has no clue about crafting or the products they carry and followed me through out my entire shop constantly tly asking if I was still finding everything. I felt very uncomfortable. I chose to make my purchase at a different Michael's because of this

Always love Michaels. Do I know where most things are? Maybe. You'll definitely find better quality here than say the dollarstore. Dont get me wrong. Some things can be bought at the dollar store. But others just have to be Michael's. Won't be beat. They got me hooked.

Second Review: Picking up a Purolator package at this location is a joke. They have moved their pick-up space 3 times that I know of. Ring the bell for pick-up service everytime until they listen to their customers regarding no signage to indicate where to pick up or drop off Purolator packages as we enter the door.

First Review:
I understand how difficult this time is for those in the customer service industry that still have jobs, I am one of them. The staff at Michaels Deerfoot Meadows were a train wreck yesterday. I called to find out if it would be possible to place an order and pick it up the same day and I was told by the person that answered the phone that they would have no trouble doing that for me before they closed. I placed the order and waited for a reply.no reply. I called to check on the situation and the harried person on the phone said that I need to wait for the reply, I told her what I was told by her workmate, she immediately put me on hold. She then came back to the line 2 more times and when she realized it was me, she put me on hold again. She was intentionally not taking care of this customer. I went to the store to find one person picking up, a second picked up an order that was sitting in a bin outside and a third was behind me. 4 customers including me. I was looking for 4 spools of thread (overpriced as I found out once I went to Walmart). I am cancelling my order, Overpriced. Please stay home, you can not handle this level of customer service. (Still no reply the next morning.)

I frequent this Michaels very often -it’s my go-to store as a Cosplayer when I need sculpting supplies, painting supplies, resin, and anything else that strikes my fancy.

Until now I haven’t written a review but what’s pushing me to do so is the customer service I received from one of the girls in the framing area -I’m very sorry I didn’t catch the young woman’s name.

I went in the last week in April 2023, looking for a Shadow Box to display a prop I made and was entering into the CalgaryEXPO replica contest… I’ve never used a shadow box before and had no idea how to mount my project or what was inside a shadow box or anything. She took the time to help me, answered all my questions, and helped me come up with a plan to do what I wanted to do. She was absolutely wonderful.

I’ll attach my photos here of my entry display just because I’m so proud of how pretty it came out looking! I believe her help was paramount to my entry looking so sharp!

The staff at Micheals is always so helpful and I always find way more than I went looking for. While some things can be a bit pricey, there are always great sales and coupons! The quality is also better than online

This review is specific to the Custom Framing department!

I have been nothing but blown away from the incredible service I have received both times using this service! I wanted my very own piece of canvas for my place, and I was left in awe! Not only did my photo of my first puppy turn out, but the quality and care that I received was Top Notch! It was so good, and I was so grateful for all of the assistance from the Custom Framing department, that I returned for my second piece!

All I can say, is how excited I am to go back for my third! Thank you!

I always love a trip to Michael's And now that we can actually shop again, it was so wonderful to be able to go into the store and look at full shelves and find what I need. The staff here was great and so were the customers. No lack of someone there to help if you need it. Keep up the great work y'all!

I have gotten stuff done here before and it was great, but today I had the best customer service yet in the framing department at the Deerfoot meadows location. J was extremely helpful, patient and has great taste! She helped me pick out exactly what I needed for 4 prints that have a lot of meaning to my company. Thanks again! I highly recommend.

Love this store a lot of options comparing to others that I've been to. Only unfortunate thing is that the satin purple ribbons are always out of stock, I guess is the one the everybody likes. I also would love if it was offered 9"x9" Shadow Box in pack or a discount if buy in a bulk.

The staff is knowledgeable, I recently purchased a cricut machine and the salesperson I spoke to had one and was able to provide first hand experience which I appreciated as she was able to tell me the difference between the machines. They also ALWAYS have sales which is nice as it can get pricey just like going to Costco you can never leave with just one thing.

Why?

Why have card machines that don't accept tap?

Why have a thousand miles of shelves with like 0 useful products?

Why have 1,000,000 folk art paints and literally no mod-podge? Whoever is stocking this store hates this Michael's and the people who shop here.

Also, it's a global pandemic. Update your freaking payment system so it isn't 3 generations out of date. I don't want to touch your crusty old non-tap, virus covered, POS payment terminals.

The store has alot of items. Some prices are high but still a few deals to be had. Sign up for their customer program. We got a 30% discount on the $20 shadowbox we bought.

Check online to make sure they have what you need at the store. Everyone is making stuff thesedays it seems cause there are empty shelves like it was t.p at the beginning of covid.

Staff in framing assisted and gave valuable suggestions for my framing projects that resulted in getting the project completed. They also helped me with the uploading of my pictures to Michaels website for printing. Thanks to them, they were terrific!

Complete disregard for the health and safety of staff and customers. Store was packed with people, nobody was managing or counting how many people came in, people were lined up waiting to pay, lack of social distancing and crowded af. I walked out immediately and asked a staff member why they weren't taking precautions and limiting the number of people in the store and her response was "I don't know actually".

So, in light of new restrictions, I was hesitant to go to Michael's but I needed supplies. So, earlier this afternoon, off I went. When I arrived, there was quite a long line. But, I am disabled and cannot stand in line. I didn't have my walker or wheelchair with me, because I just didn't think.

So, what's a girl to do but call the store and ask for help? And I'm so glad I did! They had a staffer bring out a wheelchair for me so that I could wait my turn. Then, once enough people had left that it was my turn to go in, another staffer told me where to locate the items on my list, helped me get settled into the chair properly, and even offered to push me to my first destination. She was polite without being condescending which was great. Even better, she was super knowledgeable the stock and product locations.

Once I was on my own, I noticed staff were very vigilant about number of occupants, making sure patrons were masked, and also about sanitizing carts, counters and other high touch surfaces. While I browsed on my own, staff members checked in regularly (and politely) to see if I needed a hand, both with physically navigating the store (the chair was old and I was visibly quite tired, so it was understandable concern) and with finding store items.

Every single, properly masked staff member was cheerfully making sure patrons were as safe as possible. The sales on children's crafts were a welcome surprise but the staff are the reason I will go back to that location.

One of the best shopping experiences I've had recently. 11/10 Highly recommended. And a great big thank you to any staff reading this.

I've found that a lot of shelves are not stocked in the planner section which is what I primarily go to Michaels for but the staff are friendly and overall the store is well organized.

Ordered online to pickup in store, and received the notification pretty quickly. However when getting to the store their Online pickup booth was smack dab in front the entryway making the area cramped for people waiting to pickup and general shoppers. Otherwise, I'm pleased with my purchase.

Always enjoy going into this store - it always smells SO GOOD! I pickup most of my frames here. The night I went in they had a sale for 40% off of a particular poster frame I needed. I actually needed one for a second print as well but I didn't know the size. Small customer service issue to identify is the cashier that checked me out could not tell me how much longer the sale was on for, which I thought was a bit odd. So I ended-up rushing home, getting the second measurements and running back to the store a second time in the same night. Not the end of the world but still a mild inconvenience that a more knowledgeable staff member could have helped me avoid. I will also comment that the power wall behind the main cash was barren and really detracted from the overall impression of the store's appearance, which is a shame because they have some good merchandise in there and good selection, so to leave your customers with a poor impression by failing to merchandise a large wall that customers spend the largest portion of their visit staring at while waiting in line to check-out is doing themselves a real disservice. Just my two-cents. Otherwise, kudos on the merchandise and thanks for the great deal on the poster frames!
