Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience at this auto repair shop. I brought my vehicle in for a simple brake change and encountered some issues. The workers were not experienced in their jobs, leading to a two-hour wait while 6 suspended my vehicle in the air and took off my rear tires. They attempted to replace the brakes but informed me that there were no new parts available. This resulted in my brake cylinder being damaged, and I was sent home with the unresolved issue. I would advise others to be cautious when dealing with this shop. They seemed to have difficulty delivering satisfactory service and it was frustrating to waste time. Now, I am forced to spend additional money to address the problems that arose from their lack of expertise. I hope they improve their services in the future.

Went to another mechanic shop for an oil change and as a courtesy the guy said they checked and that my daughters car needed both front lower control arms replaced and a stabilizer link kits. Quoted $1700 with labour.

Called Midas to get a quote and spoke with Braden, he asked to bring the car in so they can take a look.
Came back that nothing needs to be done. Midas just saved us from getting scammed $1700 dollars.

Great experience dealing with this specific branch. Had a really bad experience yesterday at a different branch, waited about 2 hours for an oil change, which I already had taken an appointment for, ended up cancelling and booking today with this other branch. Thanks brandon really made my day!

I came in a panick with a completely broken wheel bearing. I came in the next day they changed it for a fair price.my wheel was still making a sound and they removed a guard that was making the sound free of charge

Recently inquired as to cost of spark plug replacements for my 2005 Honda Accord Hybrid. Response from the business came quickly, and with an extra offer of a free service. Arrived at the very clean-looking business, chatted with the service manager, and unfortunately was told that because my car was a hybrid and 6-cylinder, the cost would be over $100 more than originally quoted. Now, I could have done the replacements myself if I purchased the appropriate tools and spark plugs, but for the hassle and the cost of the tools, I figured it would just be easier to have it done here. I'm not sure if it was a bait-and-switch tactic or not, as I was very specific in my emails to the business about the model/make of my vehicle, but I kind of feel a bit disgruntled about that error. However, the technician was very pleasant, and hopefully the business is honest and did the services as required.
My old car now has a bit of va-va-voom to it again, and I will return to this business location for future services on either of my vehicles if required.

These guys are great! My brakes went completely out on my vehicle and I had no idea what to do. I brought it in and they were able to get it fixed, not only that but they did get my heat going again which is very important in the winter. Then gave me a great deal on tires. Specifically Braden, thank you so much for all your help. I’m glad I could prove that I wasn’t an axe murderer (inside joke). See you guys again soon

Braden and his team did a fantastic job. They got my vehicle in right away, kept me updated on the status, and even stayed open late to finish the last of the repairs, so I could have my vehicle back the same day. I will definitely be coming back for all my vehicle needs.

I am older and remember when you used to bring your vehicle into the local garage to get work done by your neighborhood mechanic and how you were treated like a friend. This Midas shop reminds me of those days when you were treated like a friend and not a "Profit Center" for a Big Corporation.

Stopped in to drop my vehicle off for an appointment the following day and it turned out that they had an opening and asked if I would like them done right away.

This worked out perfectly as it meant I didn’t have to find a way to get to work the next day while my brakes were getting done!

The staff did a great job and were very helpful, friendly and had me in and out in no time.

Went in for an oil change and checked my dipstick a day later only to discover it was overfilled.

Great group of guys working here. I had an amazing first experience from their customer service to how they serviced my truck.

Paid over 700 dollars and waited 2 days and they told me that they couldn't fixed the car. They fixed the other issues and some maintenance but not the real problem why my car is in their shop for the first place. Never coming back. Go somewhere else. Don't waste your money

2 persons allowed to wait inside so I waited 2 hours outside in Minus 16. Then boss Shawn tried to charge me double!? I will not go back.

I'd like to thanks Shawn for replacing my valve stem which I messed up for free, I'm suppose to pay $40!

Started off rough with their computers going down right in the morning, but over all not as expensive as i thought it was going to be, and had the vehicle ready by the end of the day. Really happy with the service. Would take my vehicle there again.

Friendly, quick and helpful staff. I got my winter tires installed and balanced in a day. $120 plus tax for all 4 tires.

Being that I have been a part of Midas Edmonton previously for 12 years, I have seen many changes. Its great to see someone finally promote such good customer service and in a community kind of vibe. Kyra was great help when my 2006 Hummer had a screw in the tire and it was a 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. I work at a shop but it was too far of a distance to travel in order to have done and Kyra and her team was able to squeeze me in and complete the repair by 3pm. - great job and keep it up

I called to make an appointment yesterday to get an oil change for 10: 00 am today, everything went smoothly. I arrived around 10: 02 am and was checked in promptly and I asked how long will this take? I was informed about 1 hr for the whole process due to additional things they do for free, so I said ok. I waited for 40 minutes and during the 40 minutes I realized my vehicles was not brought into the shop every 5-10 minutes. I don't want to too long of a review but I wasted 1 hr of my time and I had to bring my daughter on a -32 degree weather to not being served by them. If there was a no star, I would've given to them. My first time visit will sure be my last time visit too. The following is my key points for the place.

1. Should've inform me that they are running behind schedule
2. Should've done a courtesy call to let me know they are backed up and that I can arrive around 11: 00 am.
3. Offer something that I can't refuse and earn my business since they wasted 1 hr of my time.

I got a steering wheel lock just after an oil change with their shop at 97st.probably because of the deep freeze, and when I brought my car at their shop, they did not hesitate to take a look and fix my car for free. They were really helpful especially to the girl at the reception and glenn the mechanic. Will definitely be back for future repairs and oil change.

I went in for simple tire swap and oil change maintenance service. After speaking with the guy over the phone about what I wanted done he said that is not a problem and I went ahead and made an appointment. When I arrived I was told they can’t do my tires, but will still do my oil change. I asked how long and he said over 2 hours. I asked for my keys back and told them I will go somewhere else. There are tons of shops right around the corner in this area and I was able to book right after with another company with no issues with my tire swap and oil change and was in and out within an hour. These guys don’t respect there customers on what they want done and the guy I dealt with was very arrogant. Will never go back and advise anyone I know the same thing.

My engine broke down and was broken due to an error they made when doing my oil change at Midas Edmonton 97 st. Customer service was rude. David is very arrogant and gives no respect to clients. When they fixed my car, they promised to provide rent-a-car while they fixed it but never did; promised to refund FULL PRICE for my expenses (towing et al.) yet the manager refused to do so after. Had to make several phone calls and argue w him before refunding the amount. Manager is greedy and a liar. Workers not willing to help at all.

People don't listen my wife don't know much I said a synthetic package and somehow I got conventional change.

I have never been to a mechanic that actually showed me the issues they were working with and honestly, that's so huge! They really care about the client and making sure you're not being taken advantage of. So happy to have found a place I feel confident going too, will definitely go back!

Charged me for alignment that should have been done after tires were changed; meaning that I had to pay for another alignment after changing tires.dishonest I must say

I took my vehicle in for an oil change, the job was done perfectly with tire rotation for a very good price ($39). The service was excellent; the mechanic was very helpful and polite.

Went in for an oil change last Saturday. Someone went and banged their hand real bad while changing the filter and sprayed oil all over. They washed it up, gave me back my car with the oil light on and a sudden new airbag light on. I reset the oil light myself and brought it in to figure out what is going on with the airbag light. Charged me 60$ to check it and 45 minutes of my time. Never had this light problem before but of course it isn't their fault.

I bought an after market exhaust for my mustang, but was struggling to get the old pipes apart due to corrosion. Brought it in, these guys quoted me a price and did not go over the quote. The work was excellent. Staff was super friendly. Listening to them talk with other customers, they seemed very honest and I didn’t see any attempt to upsell anyone. I would definitely go back! Oh yeah, and my mustang sounds amazing!

I have been there a few times because it was recommended by someone, but.they are never friendly or accommodating.business must be so good they don't seem aware or concerned that there are over 6 other businesses within a 10 block radius doing the same services who actually want customers.no need to ever go back.

Have been going to this Midas for years now, but had an ongoing issue with my brakes with their last manager, which didn't get things right even though I came in many times. But this time Jay looked into the matter and went above and beyond servicing my Honda Pilot, even staying after hours to make sure everything was correct. He and his current team is the reason of my 5 stars, be sure to ask for him, as he is very thorough in addressing your needs.

They text to remind me when my vehicle needs serviced as i requested. Wonderful otherwise i would forget. Quick service. Staff.meh.

Came to Midas because I had awful squeaking noises coming from the rear end of my vehicle. Gary took me in almost right away and had a look, explained to me what was wrong and gave me my options. AND it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. Came back to pick up my vehicle and it was as good as new (the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and informative on any questions I had - but not sure what his name was) Thanks guys!

First visit, but they made us customers for life!

I'd been wary due to bad reviews from another region, but on the recommendation of a few others, I decided to give them a try. VERY GLAD we did! He was very courteous and helpful on our walk-in enquiry about cost for brake estimate (didn't charge us for that btw!), & they were able to fit us in same day. When it was done they let us know the total cost (incl taxes), which was quite a bit less than what we were expecting based on online research, and the actual cost was exactly as quoted.

We knew we'd need pads and rotors on one axle, and thought other set ok. They confirmed that, & didn't fake needs to get more out of us like some businesses. They did the repair the same day too.

After the work, the person who did a test drive to verify it was kind enough to make sure I had the extra room I need to get in as I am disabled.

While there, we enquired about costs on other services, which were quite good for what's included, so given all that, we plan to deal with them whenever we have problems with the car.

When we left, we drove away with our windows down enjoying the lack of brake noise.
