Had an oil change by these guys, absolutely brilliant from the start till the finish, I would definitely recommend this branch to friends and family.and this is definitely going to be my new goto place for car needs.

Terrible Ad. Does not give prices and no way to find out what they are. Who cares if you get two free tires if you buy the first two at four times MSRP.

Horrible service. I booked a wheel alignment appointment at 3408 99th street, got a confirmation only to get there and was told it would take several hours to get my alignment done because they had to attend to other customers. But that’s what appointments are for! To have time slots for everyone. This was after I had planned my day based on the confirmation of appointment. They wouldn’t even give me a timeline as to when it would be completed. Having so many customers doesn’t mean you get to treat people shabbily. I am so disappointed!

Will not go here again. Had an appt.booked for an oil change, an hour later and car still wasn’t touched. Had to leave as I had another appt booked. So frustrating. Don’t book appts if you can even keep them. What’s the point?

Very bad experience with this location, I purchased and install 4 new goodyears tires in this midas location on may this year, after one week, i got a very bad flat tire, I send to this shop, they check it and said it is abvious the tire have a quality problem, and they will got new warranty from Goodyear for me, then, they let me purchased another new one first, they will take care my warranty,
after replaced the tire, nobody take care my new tire warranty anymore, I alway follow up it every 2 weeks, but they alway said they can not reach Goodyear, because, after three months, they still can not reach good year for samiliar reasons, I am wondering where the warranty pay go, new tire warranty is joke, so never iinstall new tires here, more risk. Costco is best choice

I will never come back here! I paid $616.81 for an AC service, which includes a $150 diagnostic fee. I was told to have my AC recharged as per the diagnostic made by one of their mechanics, which they did. They handed me the keys and when I returned to my vehicle, the AC still was not working. I went back to the shop and told the staff, my vehicle had to be brought back into the shop and rechecked. This time, I was told that there is something rattling inside the AC compressor and that something might be cracked and needs to be replaced which should have been caught during the diagnostic which I paid for, but instead they added another service at an additional $900 charge. If that is the case, why did you guys tell me that my AC only needs a recharge, if that is not the issue at all? What is the point of making me pay for the diagnostic if the issue wasn't assessed properly? I spent $616.81 for nothing! No form of compensation or apology was offered. Save yourself time and frustration and go with a dealership or a more trusted mechanic that might be more accountable for their service.

Got my vehicle fixed by a side mechanic all all went sideways, then made the mistake of going to Canadian tire$$$$, searched up wheel alignment places online, called and booked in an appointment for same day and got in just like that, bev was amazing and helped us with all our questions and was overall a doll, her energy was immaculate and her personality was just beautiful. We went to only get our wheels realigned and had the best help ever, from everyone we came In contact with and we loved the honestly. I don’t tho l we stopped smiling or laughing the whole time they really made us feel so welcomed the whole time and was overall amazing. Never going anywhere else for any car related issues, only here!

I needed a tire change and alignment and Midas was running an incredible deal that I couldn’t pass up. The front desk was friendly, helpful and was more than willing to answer any questions.

After the service was done I noticed a piece of plastic was hanging from the bottom of my car while they were backing it out of the garage. They got it up on the lift and noticed a piece of my rear undercar splash shield was ripped and hanging off.

The person who I believe was a manager working at the time was more than willing to offer to replace the part, since he surmised the piece was ripped reversing off their lift. He said he would find a replacement part and call me as soon as it came in to install in about 2 weeks. I was leaving to go out of the country and wouldn’t be back for about 3 weeks so it worked out.

I never received a call while I was gone with an update and when I called when I was back he said they were having difficulty finding the part, which is fine. He says he will call as soon as they find the part. Another 2 weeks pass without an update, I call and get the same answer. I call every 2-3 weeks for the next 3-4 months asking for an update. Eventually they say they sent my info to someone higher up and they will call me.

It’s now been more than 6 months without an update, and I doubt I will be hearing anything soon. The damage was not a huge deal but the location set expectations and failed to meet them.

I booked an appointment for an oil change and was greeted very warmly by Bev. She is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and has some amazing stories. She asked if I was going to wait in the store for my car and I mentioned I’d go over to the pho restaurant nearby and she gave me some recommendations and encouraged me to go. I came back after my lunch and didn’t have to wait long for my car. Bev gave me my keys and recommended I look into fluid flushes for my car soon. Her customer service is top tier and I would highly recommend going to this location for your vehicle needs.

Absolute crooks. The lady at the desk was pleasant but that's it. I was told on the phone by the call center that they weren't busy and after describing the situation with my vehicle she said it shouldn't take long to complete the repair and they would have the part on hand. I booked my vehicle in for 10: 30am and arrived early.
They had to order the part from a different place (at over double the price I could have bought it on Amazon) and I was told labor was going to be 3.5 hours! For an easily accessible flex pipe. Simple cut and replace. They quoted me $655! After refusing to pay that, I drove my vehicle down the street and it was done in 30 minutes for $334!
Midas, shame on you. Take your vehicle somewhere else. You will get robbed here.

I told them if they can fix ABS system, do it with $1850 they did and i went home ABS still not working, I called them and they scan for me and they do nothing, they told me rear brake sensors and do nothing nothing

Mix up with my car make and model in the computer but still had my name at the correct time. Bev is super no bs direct kinda chick which is awesome. Waiting room is way too hot, need window covers, no wifi is ridiculous and I get that they want to advertise midas services but a working tv would be nice to pass the time.

Update: so never again for this place. Got home, looked at my invoice, $78? What? Looked further, wrong car, wrong address wrong phone number, wrong person. As if that wasn’t ridiculous enough, they put the wrong oil in my car as well. I called four times to get someone to tell me what to do and was told that a DM would call me which never happened. Fourth person I talked to told me to come in because they can’t process refunds over the phone. Went in this morning, the guy behind the counter couldn’t have cared less about the number of inconveniences their stupidity caused me, completely indifferent to my situation. Midas doesn’t care about customers and apparently doesn’t care if they get new business. They’ve lost mine for sure after one visit. Ridiculous.

My girlfriend and I went in to find her winter tires, the people were amazing and bluntly honest which I love. Right down to the point. Price was awesome too. We didn't end up getting tires from Midas as we got tires cheaper but we still made an appointment to get them fitted on through Midas. Highly recommend!

Went to Russell Peter's in July this past summer, the front staff gave me that same experience. They could take their act on the road! Ready to have fun and looking for a good laugh. Joke with them! They love it! And it makes making a large purchase feel a little bit better. Great customer service and they know their stuff. Will be going back for other services! #feelingwarminside

First time at this location and the service was fast and amazing. I was late for my appointment and Brian still managed to squeezed my vehicle in. Bev was fantastic at her customer service. Definitely made my day. Would recommend for anyone who's looking for maintenance or general auto work!

I was in desperate need of a tire repair and was alone with my 12 week old daughter. I called a bunch of tire shops and no one could squeeze me in and with it being a Saturday, there would be no way my tire would last the weekend. When I called Midas on 99st, they were able to get me in and did the tire repair for me. They were quick too and very friendly. Highly recommend this location!

Contacted them late Saturday morning about a noisy exhaust, and they not only fit me in same day to see what was wrong, but repaired the issue before closing. Top notch work. Recommended.

They promote free tire change… asked us to wait 2 hours after a confirmed appointment and talked like they don’t care about providing this service. Why offer potential customers this service in the first place?

I took my car to get winter tires installed. They did install the tires but forgot to put my Wheel lock key back. I went to change it to all- season tires from somewhere else and they said that whoever changed my tires last (that was Midas), forgot to put the lock key back in. I have never even touched my tool box since visiting Midas so obviously its their fault. Now Midas are not accepting that its their fault and are blaming me. Very careless.

Very professional staff especially Moira. Tanner did a terrific job and was very quick. Overall, everyone at this location knows what they’re doing. So if you ever need help or it’s your first time going to an auto shop, they will accommodate you big time. Good job!

I went there for an oil change, they did a curtesy checkup for my car, thanks for that, but unfortunately i had a check engine light came up. Used my ODB 2 to diagnose the problem so apparently its a loose pressure sensor and don’t know which one is it hopefully Midas can help me to fix the problem that they cased.

I just had my first ‘out of dealership’ experience at Midas. And it was amazing. They said it would take an hour for an oil change and I was in and out in 30 mins. It was thorough and quick! They sent me a detailed inspection while they were doing it with red, yellow and green suggestions for service. Not once did they pressure me to do something. They just said take a look and that’s it. As soon as my warranty with the dealership is up in July, I will be going there for all of my service needs.

Typical oil change by a mechanic and not a lube tech. It would be nice if they reset the change oil indicator after an oil change though.

The only reason I am writing this review is because these guys didn't tighten the lug nuts on the right wheel, compromising my safety. I had a long drive ahead and my car stared to vibrate on a 110km highway. Also, they don't top up the washer fluid until you tell them to and barely put enough engine oil to sit above the low mark on dipstick.

Very informative bunch of people! Been going to this location for many years and will always come back, cheaper and faster then a lot of other places. And the customer service is hands down one of the best! Highly recommended

Went to get a new muffler. They did a complimentary inspection and came back with lots of things wrong. They said one ball joint was bad and BOTH lower ball joints need replacing. They also mentioned Rear brakes needed to be replaced right away. They texted me a list of everything that needed to be done. I authorized the muffler replacement. I took the vehicle to my professional, licensed mechanic. Everything on their list DID NOT NEED REPLACEMENT! See attached photos of rear brake pads that needed immediate replaced (left) compared to a new pad. My mechanic said the brakes are good and recommended to check them again in the spring. The texted notes said I needed an oil change (I did this one week prior). It recommended shocks and struts to be replaced (my mechanic said everything is good). They said the air filter was dirty and needed replacement (This was done a couple months ago, and DOES NOT NEED to be replaced). They said my hoses needed replacement (all good). Of all the things they marked as needing replacement, only thing that was needed was my coolant level was low. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

Excellent service & extremely affordable. Bobby Toews runs an excellent shop. They were able to get me in very quickly and prices were extremely reasonable. And with their service warranty. They have definitely made a long term customer today.

Very impressed with the Midas on 34 Avenue and 99 street. I went there for an oil change. They did a good job and the pricing was great. The people there were very helpful and courteous. Their location is good I noticed they followed the pandemic guidelines. I would surely recommend this place.

Went in for a brake inspection. They lied and told me my rear brakes needed to be replaced "from the ground up" and quoted me $1100 for brake pads, rotors and calipers. I knew I wasn't going to pay that much, my Dad's a mechanic and I know ballpark how much it should cost, so I found a local mechanic and asked him to check it out.
Turns out my calipers were in fact not seizing and did not need to be replaced.it was just the most expensive part and they were trying to take advantage of me. I also asked for a detailed print-out for the estimate so I knew exactly what was being charged, and all i got was a print-out of the parts but no actual dollar amounts so I didn't know where the $1100 was coming from.
I ended up getting my guy to fix it for under $250.
I'm honestly worried they didn't even do the inspection properly.

So I booked my apartment by south on 34th Avenue after see promotion on Facebook. So guy told me its 59.99 for synthetic oil change plus tire rotation if require and 6 months roadside assistance. So I booked for my two car on alternate week. When I arrived there around 11AM on last Saturday one of the unprofessional and arrogant person was sitting and he denied all promotion except for oil change price. I didn't even stay for 30 second and left. Person who booked my appointment his name I think Nathaniel. Totally unprofessional people sitting there. Don't know what is customer service

Went for an oil change and their "special" which was a visual check and tire rotation. The visual inspection and ability to get photos was good.

The fact that they told me they would rotate my tires ahead of time, give me the car back and mark that a rotation was done, and didn't actually do it, was upsetting. I had to have the agent talk to the service tech who said he didn't do it.then they told me they didn't need to be done, so he didn't do it, they just don't mark when they don't do the rotation because it's part of the package.

Then to point out my tire pressure was low.and not inflate the tires after handing me back the keys.horrible. I guess you get what you pay for when it's a special.

Then they also pointed out my rear breaks need to be repaired.which I bought from them only 3 years ago, and they had asked me if I ride my breaks a lot. I said no, I had my front break repaired from another shop and they are fine. He then suggested that I upgrade and pay more for "better" ones. Always check the work done from here and ask questions about the lifetime break guarantee.

Great service, Shawn was very helpful and knowledgeable and examined what my safety issues were.

Brought my Prius in for an oil change. They appear to have changed the oil without issue. I asked for the tire pressure to be topped up as they are a few pounds low. They did not top it up. They also took three hours for an oil change.

While the front end staff were friendly I most certainly will not come back here, or recommend them.

The "inspection" that was sent to me said that my brakes were "dry, dirty and sticky" and "needed immediate servicing for safety". My brakes, calipers and rotors are BRAND NEW. Literally changed 3 weeks ago. Look at the images I uploaded; they are sparkling clean.

They also stated in this "inspection" that the spark plugs were fouled. Also BRAND NEW. I highly doubt they even pulled a single plug as I know what is involved and I didn't see any evidence of them accessing them.

Were I an unexpecting or ignorant vehicle owner they easily could take me for thousands of dollars of unnecessary, falsified "repairs"

This shop should be ashamed.

My advice: Go next door to best choice auto, trustworthy, HONEST, and reliable.

Dropped in for an axle replacement. Front staff was polite and listened to what I was asking for. They did offer some other services but didn’t push to sell. I also asked them to look under the engine for a small leak and they did so. Vijay reported to me what was done in the service, what they found and what they recommended.

He recommended changing the power steering fluid and coolant, which I knew needed to be done, but the power steering rack had a very slow leak and he said that should be addressed before changing the fluid.

I will definitely come back to this location to do that work because these guys were honest about what needed to be done and not done.

Vijay and staff are fantastic. I needed help choosing the right tire for me and I feel very confident that I got the best ones at a great price. My business will come here from now on.

Booked a service here and then the guy told me there was an appointment booked. The attitude was quite interesting, it’s like I’m begging them to service the vehicle. I will not recommend this location and even Midas for vehicle services. Unless you want to show up here disappointed

I had exhaust on my car broken. Midas guys did a great job. They fixed it in just 45 minutes for very reasonable money.

I was able to get in for an oil change the next day. When I got there, the lady at the front was really nice and helpful. There was only one technician there, (poor guy), but he was able to get my oil change done and work on another person's vehicle, and get my oil changed in 45 minutes. I will definitely be coming back here.

Needed a quote on brake replacement on my car, and Vijay responded within minutes of me emailing with all the pricing info I needed. Price was fair and they were able to get me in next day. I really appreciated the straight forward experience and will definitely go back for future work.

Hi, my sons truck broke down when coming from Edmonton to Calgary. We had it towed to the Midas shop. $1186.00 for a fuel pump! My son went back up on the bus and found himself $3.00 short and they wouldn't release the truck to him. Had to send him money to get it out. A huge company like Midas couldn't afford to take $3.00 off the bill. I called around and could have had the work done for around $700.00. Never again will I or anyone I know use Midas.

I booked an appointment at 12pm for on oil change.

I waited an hour and a half only for them to tell me they couldn't jack my car up to work on it because it was too low. Why does this take an hour and a half? If you can't jack it, then you can't jack it. Let me know, and I'll be on my way no problem.

On top of this, the mechanic did not take off his gloves and now I have to clean my steering wheel, drivers pocket, and door that is covered in dirt and grease! Woohoo!

I'm not disappointed because they could not jack my car. I am disappointed by their lack of communication and professionalism.

Took my car in to have a nasty rattle sorted out. I knew it was the exhaust but didn't know the exact issue. They determined it was a bent heat shield and I ok'd them to order the part. Waiting almost two weeks and when I checked in they indicated the part was on back order. At his point they offered to repaid the heat shield.while doing so they found a broken exhaust clamp. Of course as soon as I pulled out of the parking lot I heard the rattle again. I realized these guys were not going to get this fixed so I went to a nearby muffler place. Mechanic drove it around the parking lot and instantly knew it was the drive shaft rubbing on the exhaust (which had shifted due to the broken clamp). Diagnosed and fixed in 20 minutes and cost next to nothing. I can't complain about the people interactions I had at Midas.people there were very nice. But the delay and failure to fix the issue is enough for me to not return.
