This is the 5th Midas location I've used in Alberta. Always impressed with the friendly people, amazing communication and honest assessment from Midas.

Great job done in a timely professional manner.

My car had a sluggish start so I went there to get a diagnostic report, Joe was very respectful and honest. Ended up changing the battery. Definitely going to be a regular.

I like the manager Joe there. My favorite spot for oil changes. Fast and reasonable costs. Highly recommended. Macy sure making an appointment before you go. Otherwise you will have to drop off.

Quick, competent service. Price quoted was price paid. Front brakes, rotors, both sides took less than 2 hours.

Honest and good mechanic. After inspection they send you photos of any problem items, which I don't understand why more shops wouldn't do since it takes such little time!

Midas don't do with out appointment. I wanted to have oil change according to their $49.99 oil change compaign but was told that ur car need synthetic oil not regular. Go by the book people.

Professional, clean, courteous, great deal on 4 Goodyear assurance thread, required work communicated prior to carrying out. I recommend Midas on McLeod for your post warranty work.

We were on the way to bc when our front brakes made a grinding noise. In less than 3 hrs, the crew had diagnosed and repaired the issue (for a very reasonable price)! Special kudos to ryan and heather. Great friendly professional service.

Extremely over priced, more expensive for labour then parts. When you bills comes to over 1400 and the labour is well over half of it you know it's a rip off. Not worth your time to bring it here. Search out a better place to go.

Manager, Joe, and his crew, went above and beyond to get our exhaust system fixed and ready for us to drive away safely.
The facility was clean and warm on a very cold evening. I was impressed with the lobby and the friendly nature of all staff. Highly recommend Midas and this unit on MacCloud Trail in particular

This is our second time servicing here. This last visit was to replace a blower motor in our car Dean was great to deal with and our service bill was what we expected. They booked us in right away and the job was done in a timely matter Highly recommend. Convenient and friendly

This is my place for any mechanical work! Honest hard working people there, I had to edit this post because I am just so impressed with this shop. Total and complete break downs of everything done and needing to be fixed/replaced. Pictures of every detail to show the new or old parts.
I live almost n hour away from this midas but will always take the time to drive here for any mechanical work.

Staff at this location are wonderful, Joe helped me out and answered all my questions without hesitation. Awesome experience and very easy to have your vehicle serviced - they do tires and it’s that time before the shhhh snow flies! Yes it’s coming people - check this group out - they have 3 stores and service in the south was excellent.

Joe went above and beyond for us. We dropped our car off in the morning, he quoted us by midday and has us back on the road with all new front brakes by 6 pm! He even kept the shop open late to make sure we got back on the road safely! I would recommend Midas to anyone who wants a mechanic to look after them and their car.

I went to get my oil changed because they were having a special. Not only did they do an “inspection” without asking me at all, but they rotated my tires because they were “backwards. ” Why didn’t you call and inform me of this, and ask permission to touch my tires? Now I have a busted wheel bearing and I’ve been out of work for a week. Quoted $1k in repairs. All because I brought my car into Midas for an oil change. They’ve ruined me financially and I’ve had issues since the day my car left their “shop”

My brakes are being replaced AGAIN after only two years because Midas did not do a quality job. Beware of getting a safety certificate done at this Midas. Sadly, I was pressured into getting my brakes replaced or loose my money for certification and then they did a very poor job - see pictures of my brakes (rotors and pads) after only 2 years of use (30,000 km). Brakes had seized because they used the wrong oil and completely ruined router and pads. I am not one to write a bad review but this cost me a lot of $$!

I Recently had a new set of winterforce 2 installed on my truck here.the service was excellent, and the price was great!

4 times to complete work. Mechanics don't know what they're doing. Sadly, used to be good. Had a brake leak and low brake fluid warning, said nothing wrong. Took me insisting and returning to get them to trouble shoot further and determine caliper was leaking. Don't trust them anymore. Additional leak in front end took return trip for them to fix. Engine missing, they didn't seat spark plug properly. Brakes not bled after caliper replacement. Sadness.

Arrived based on an appointment I'd made last week, and was told that I must have gotten it wrong, they don't have time to see me today, and that there is another Midas location on Macleod. So I drive to the other location further north, and they don't have me on their records either.

Frustrated, I go digging through my email to find the original appointment request I sent in.and low and behold, the address on the email confirmation is 9623 MacLeod Trail SW. So I got turned away from my own appointment at the correct location because they were too busy to see me, and instead of confirming anything further, I was simply told "you probably screwed up, go elsewhere". My mistake for trusting the staff member and not pushing the issue, I guess I should have.

Wanted to give Midas a try based on reviews, but I guess I'll be sticking with my dealership.and I'd recommend you find somewhere else for your service as well.

Simply best place to get work done with honest mechanics not trying to nickle and dime you

Good service, clear communication, not too pushy with recommdations. Price is on par with competitors.

Had a problem with my van and it wouldn't start. Joe and his team worked hard and found the problem. Turns out it was something simple. They fixed it and it cost me next to nothing. I appreciated their efforts AND honesty. An honest mechanic! Imagine that! I'll definitely be back for all my vehicle repairs and maintenance. Thank you Joe!

I did a side job in exchange to use a covered bay to do brakes and to put on winter tires. I got well into the brake job, then I found out I was missing a tool i needed to finish the brake job. "pulled the pads off", I was able to get 3 brakes back on but the last caliper I couldn't get on without the proper tool.

I had to get my car off the property where I was working but no mechanic shop would take my car in and we needed that car the very next day. My only option was to rent a car till the seized caliper was repaired. It was -20 with snow and I didnt feel safe to use the jack I had in that weather.

I came into Midas and they were swamped "just opened and fully booked". I told the store manager what happened and he said he would try to sneak me in but don't no guarantee.

I was blowen away when I got the call later that day, saying the were able to do the repair but since it was an emergency I expected the bill to be really expensive. It was actually very fair price and I couldn't of been happier with the out come because a lot of places would of taken advantage of me in this situation.

Poor service. They don't stick to what they say. Their staff isn't on the same page with each other and it affects the customer.

I recently had a major service done at “the dealership” and, as I drove away found my car sounding much louder than ever before. Called them when I got home and they were “well we didn’t do any work near the exhaust” like I’m lying about this brand new noise.

Since “the dealership” said the rear brakes needed to be done, I thought I’d try Midas for brakes and to fix this mega irritating loudness that “the dealership” couldn’t have created.

Midas could have sold me exhaust parts or labour (maybe a shady business would) but they fixed the problem.the engine air filter cover was not latched.
Oh and they drained out the overfilled oil no charge. Note to dealership: overfilling the oil can’t be good for your bottom line or my car.

I had a vehicle serviced at this Midas years ago and had a poor experience. I received a coupon in the mail for a synthetic oil change for a deal and thought I'd call them and ask some questions as I needed an oil change and winter tires put on my car. I was weary about using this company again, but it had been a while so I thought I'd give them another chance. I called them and spoke with Joe. I hammered out all the details and specifics with Joe because they were busy, and I'm busy. We found a day that works, which was supposed to be today for just after 8am. I showed up as promised as per our discussion on the phone (A little bit after 8).

My visit started off pleasant, however, when they gave me a time frame that didn't align with what was discussed on the phone. What was printed on the invoice said 2-3 hours. So I had some questions. The person at the front chose to argue on behalf of what Joe said. "There's no way Joe would have said an hour and a half" as he points to the invoice that says it was discussed it would be 2-3 hours. Then I hear, "If you were here before 8am, we could've got you in. " I had mentioned in the call that I would be there after 8, and Joe assured me it's fine. Buddy (who calls his customers "man") argued while saying he won't argue with me because Joe was his manager for several years and would never say that. I had cleared my schedule for this as I had an appointment for 11am and what Manager Joe had told me on the phone worked. Joe set the expectation to me the customer and I worked with what they had told me.

Then I get the "Look we're busy, just give me the keys".
Question for future customers of Midas, would you give them the keys to your vehicle after they argue on behalf of one of their employees and stick up for that employee even though it's not what they said? My answer is no. Imagine you have an issue with your vehicle after getting serviced with them (which i did a few years back), and you approach them about it, how do you think they will chose to handle it? Hey "man" who argued with me saying your employee never said 1.5 hours, and I should be there before 8. I hope you recorded the call to improve peoples Midas experience.

Before you argue with customers, straighten out what your staff sets for expectations for them over the phone. Waste of my time. I hope you don't waste anyone else's.

UPDATE: 201028 at 10: 48am The owner responded to this with link to their head office in Florida. I had called them immediately after my encounter with this shop this morning. The head office does NOTHING. I asked what they would do, and they said they would coach the location on customer service. There would be no follow up with myself. They didn't even care I was out the time because of the misrepresentation. There were previous issues with customers having the same issue as mine. When I spoke to the head office, they gave me no assurance they'd look into it further. As you can see from previous replies, this location doesn't care and passes you on to their office in Florida. Essentially passing the accountability on for someone to deal with. Imagine if you had an issue with the vehicle after, they send you to a link to Florida to deal with you. Stay away from this organization, the attitude from the local store is much the same with their customer service center based in Florida. There are too many options out there including one reputable one right beside them.

These guys are very professional and offer great value & service, plus excellent customer experience. Just had a timing belt service done with them - thanks for going the extra mile to help me out!

I went in for an oil change, when I was asked if I needed standard oil or synthetic I said I wasn't sure to which the guy behind the counter very quickly looked at my car and said "oh you 'need' synthetic" which he then proceeded to quote me 110$ for an oil change. I walked out of there not really trusting what the guy said and sure enough according to Volkswagen's official information I absolutely did not need synthetic oil in my 2004 Jetta.any way I would never trust this place after that interaction, take your business else where

Dean and Joe have been servicing my fleet and personal vehicles since 2005. Never any issues with work and repairs preformed at the shop.
Journeyman mechanics on site always to ensure proper service.
All staff are professional and courteous.
Best part is, service advisors will break down. What work is safety related, optional and what can be repaired in future visit.

Very good. The price is very reasonable for maintenance services done and the staff was very professional.
They did not try to upsell me on any services, followed my vehicle's maintenance manual and Leon (front counter advisor) walked me through every step of my vehicle''s maintenance.
I highly recommend anyone needing a routine oil change or more complicated issues to visit this Midas location and give them a try.

Taking your vehicle in to to the shop for a long list of repairs is never fun, but my experience at Midas was fantastic. Leon was incredibly helpful, Joe was friendly and the staff did a great job repairing everything that needed to be done.

I knew going in that it wasn't going to be cheap, but I feel like the guys still saved me a ton of money, they definitely didn't sell me on things that didn't need to be done and in the end I got great value. I'll continue to go back in the future for sure!

The vehicle required an oil and filter change. It was inspected and found that the front brake pads were quite low and the routers were in need of change also. Once approval of the work was given the Venza was ready for pick-up in about 30 minutes.

Joe and his crew are incredibly honest. We take both our vehicles here and several times I would think that something major had gone wrong and Joe would phone and say you just need a new belt or something very minor, Were I thought the water pump or alternator or transmission was toast. Great service great crew.

My wife was worried about a noise in the front of her Sequoia and didn’t want to travel back on the highway home without a mechanical assurance. The shop guys inspected it, took it for a trial run (late on a Saturday) and said she would be fine to make it home. They Didn’t charge her anything and said it was on the house. She’ll never forget the kindness of the crew that day.

They completed a front brake job, switched summer to winter tires & an oil change in 4 hours.great service at a very reasonable price.good workmanship and even better customer service.thx.
