I have lived in this wonderful place of mine I call home, for 7 years. Not only is the location perfect, but the staff are like family. The other day this kind man John Chee, saw that I had my hands full, held the doors open. Sweet fome.m

Lived there for many years. I lived in the Cricket Court townhouses for 6 years and they were great years. There were a couple bumps with bad neighbors but they were evicted accordingly. Maintenance is the best. Aliona is also our favorite as well. Thanks for the great years, Midwest!

I’ve just moved into Midwest and so far it has been great. My unit was very clean when I moved in. Both Maggie and Laura were super helpful and kind.

I have been renting from Midwest (Empire Park) for over 10 years now. Up until the past 2 years I have had nothing but good things to say and have recommended them to many people however they are consistently getting worse and worse seemingly by the day. They have slashed the amount of cleaners we have to absolute bare bones, going from cleaning the hallways daily to once every week or two. The ventilation has been broken in the hallways and the lobby for over a year now and property managers dismiss it any time someone complains. The grounds are poorly kept and there is essentially no grass left to speak of. They have jacked rents up unreasonably high and pushed out tenants that have been living here for 20+ years despite getting a massive tax cut from the city and reducing services significantly. The office has reduced their hours to 4 days a week with 2 days as appointment only and have forced the property managers to manage 3 separate complexes with far too few staff to handle the amount of units they are in charge of. It takes months to get even the most basic maintenance done and the staff is incredibly unprofessional and refuse to answer emails or sign leases in person, which invalidates the legality of the document. We are constantly paying more and getting less for it, it's absolutely appalling and head office should be ashamed of themselves.

Usually I never write reviews, but must say, I have been living here from past 3 years and this place is just amazing. Easy accessible to LRT, Bus station, Walmart, food stores, Super stores, Southgate mall & LA fitness. The staff is just amazing, and they always keep the carpet clean.really friendly people.

Discriminates against loyal renters who require service/support animals. For no reason, with ALL required documentation. Including doctors notes ect. Property managers Mary Ann and Evelyn should be ashamed of how they treat their tenants and families.
If I could give 0 stars. I would.

Not only have I experience awful quality of life whilst living in these properties, but upon departure after 7 years of tenancy, they are fraudulently trying to steal money from me. Protect your mental, physical and financial health by avoiding this company.

I have lived here for 16+ years and it has been wonderful. They have a real sense of community and the Property manager at Village at Southgate knows a lot of people on a first named basis. She and all the staff here make you feel welcome and are friendly. They are what make me enjoy living here for as long as I have!

I have just moved in and i am loving this place. Nice view. Safe place to live. Near to Southgate mall.

Lived at one of their properties for a few yrs now, the staff are great and always willing to help. They up keep the properties as well, which is why I really enjoy residing in one of their properties. Very friendly staff as well.

My partner and I have been staying at a Midwest property in Medicine Hat for a couple months now and our experience has been great. Jordan at the onsite office was very accommodating and made the paperwork super easy, the unit was extremely clean upon moving in, and although I have not had any need for a maintenance call yet, I am assured knowing they have 24hr support if we need it.

I've been renting in River Valley for 3 years.im happy totally when Jason is still the property manager on that time. But since Jason left to this site the staff in the leasing office right now I'm not sure if they are Filipino they are not really friendly helpful to us on my expierence to them. Since on there first day.not accomodating long face every time i saw them. Compare to Jason he so friendly helpful and nice very person. Hope the management can do somethig about this. Thank you

We have been renting at their property at Riverbend estates for a year now. It's a really nice neighborhood. However, recently there are lot of problems with the services. The building elevator is down for over a week. My pregnant wife can't go for doctor's visit or to work as she can't take stairs. Also, they have allowed some weird tenants lately. There was a fight or something and then one of the person activated the fire alarms. This started happening after the change of the property manager. The lady that used to manage earlier was great.

We live in cricket court and the town house looks amazing, but there are issues with it that should’ve been fixed before we moved in. 1. The air vent in the upper floor washroom was blowing dust, 2.there were no hot water for 3 days, 3.they didn’t repaint the ceiling and wall in the basement where there is a water stain from a leakage, 4. The hose wasn’t connected for the washing machine, so when we used it the basement was flooded because the hose wasn’t connected.

Number 1,2, and 4 was solved but the number 3 isn’t solved yet. We appreciate though that they sent someone here to do some air duct cleaning. Hoping that they will send someone to repaint, and they should have told us to move later when it the house is fully ready for us!

Unit like this will charge you 15hours for cleaning, they will get your full deposit. NEVER MOVE IN to this property:). So what we rent is a less than 600 sq ft unit. The full cleaning will charge you $50 per hour and 15hours and they said they give you an discount Lolllllllllll. Can any one tell me is there any cleaning company will quote you for $50 per hour cleaning? The full unit cleaning charge me a $350 plus a steam cleaning for $85 Lolllllllllllllll.

This is my first experience renting through MidWest, I cannot be any happier the property is nicely clean upon moving in, I received the keys faster than any other agency I have lived in prior Midwest. Great professional Staff, I definitely recommend renting through MidWest, there is always a “bonus or promotional Incentives” with the property management.

Kind, helpful and reasonable people. Buildings are old so when things go wrong they are very quick to take the blame and send out a maintenance guy. -1 star because they are often hard to get ahold of via phone / email

I'm a fairly new tenant at Edmonton House, but was a previous tenant at another Midwest Property, Riverbend Estates. My experience with Midwest in general has been amazing, the staff are always friendly, maintenance requests are handled in a timely fashion, and they take pride in maintaining their properties. I really have no shortage of good things to say about Midwest, in fact, that's why when my lease was up at my previous rental, I only checked out other Midwest properties. Edmonton House in particular is probably my favorite place that I've rented, the view overlooking downtown is spectacular, especially at night. Bonus points because the building lights up blue at night (my favorite color). I took my first swim in the building pool last night which was the perfect way of winding down after a long day of hauling heavy moving boxes around. The gym looks amazing, and by the time my lease is up I plan to look like Brad Pitt in Fight Club. Just shredded. The move in process was simple, straight forward and fast. In fact, I was given an early move in free of charge and they got me in even a few days earlier than I had expected (which was already a solid 2 weeks before the start of my lease). So far, so great. Now I must practice yoga before I attend one of the free classes so I don't look like a complete idiot, which is probably unavoidable. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

I was happy with Midwest for a year, staff are friendly and professional, they fix maintenance issues right away and my rent autopayments were accurate. Until they changed their billing method to Let Us by Rentmoola. I didn't have much choice but to set up through them if I want autopayments for my rent, otherwise I would have to go to their office every month and pay my rent there which i don't have time for. Tenants get charged $1 for every transaction at Let Us which I don't mind if only they have customer service that's easy to reach on their said "office hours" and who can actually help you, not just send you instructions how to edit your payment on your account which I KNOW and have set up properly already. On May 2021, I was surprised to see on my email that the rent amount they're charging me was 130$ more. I called customer service in the morning (9am on a weekday), i was routed to voicemail. I sent an email, i got a reply that they are looking into it and gave me a ticket number. I was advised to set up/edit my rent amount on my let us account, which I did AGAIN (always with the right amount). I was being charged with the right amount after that and to be fair, i got a follow up call a few days after from the leasing office for that. July 2021, my rent was supposed to be 20$ less since I renewed my leasing contract and I got a discount on my rent starting July. I remember setting up my new rent amount for July online after I signed the new contract. They still charge me with the same rent amount as the previous one and worse I saw on my account that I owe them 130$! I had enough with their messed up system, it's so hassle and I no longer have peace of mind and trust that they will take payments with the right amount. What if I dont keep track on my bills, then I get overcharged? Worse messed up with your credit.

Me and my husband lived here for 10 years an I will renew again. We are happy and love this place. The site has shopping and school location. I felt homey The staff here is polite and good (maintenance and office staff. Property is clean and tidy.

Me and my husband lives 8 hooper cresent midwest property with peace of mind just because of cooperative management.
Its best place to live here because of lifts and wheelchair accessible.
Its highly recommended.

I moved 8 hooper crescent last year and now I am renewing my contract for 2nd year too.

The service regarding maintenance at Rossdale House in Edmonton is the best. This location is well kept and clean. People like Mark Estrada in maintenance keep everything working and does it with a smile. This is a great place to call home!

I want to inform others the village at southgate 4620 #301, if you can't handle strong garlic and fish odors stay away from this unit bedroom is not usable.

We enjoyed the how prompt they maintenance crew were to our requests. Big shout out to the Hooke Road maintenance crew of Hartford County in Edmonton. They were friendly, timely and good at communicating with us.
Also big thanks to the maintenance team for keeping the grounds clean by picking up all the trash that's left behind by the residents almost daily. Can't imagine how the area would look like if the maintenance team did not do that.

I moved in Rossdale House this morning. The moving process was pretty smooth. Cassie- the property manger has been very helpful and responded my inquiries in a timely manner. The building is clean and well-managed.

Hillcrest place is only a good place to live if you have toddler/young children you want to let roam in the common area court yard without having to supervise them. I see kids outside all the time with no adults watching them. They are throwing rocks, hitting each other and screaming all hours. They run into the middle of the road, trample all over your front yard grass and leave their toys out everywhere. A far cry from quiet family living. Stay away unless you are willing to keep your windows closed from morning to night.

Very professional. Highly Helpful. Do maintenance immediately once called. My only bad experience is when i loosed my mailbox key. They charged me 25 $ for just going into a room and getting a new key from their boxes. A new mailbox lock with two keys cost 10$ at home depot. I didn't like it.

I moved here about a year and a half ago at the elmwood townhome on the west end and what can I say. I'm DISAPPOINTED with the service and disgusted with the space and smell. The walls are thin.very thin. My neighbors have no privacy even when they want to: (It's a free for all. You can drive on the lawn and leave your garbage on the front porch.
The ladies at the office at elmwood are awesome but the service otherwise. AWEFUL. The sewage backs up ever so often and the rent.higher than a mortgage. I dont recommend period! Can't wait for spring to move.

My year lease at Rossdale House (9825 103 street) has been great.

The good: great views (east facing), solid concrete building (no noise), good amenities, and great staffing. The promotions for moving in were very competitive.

Cons: Original units outdated (but renovations are occurring), the hill can be difficult at times, unfortunately promotions arent as good for renewing. The only negatives are things really personal taste based or just bad luck with a few issues out of managements hands either way.

Any concerns Ive had with my unit have been dealt with in a quick and professional matter.

I live in the Edmonton House and could not be happier with how the building is managed, It is always clean and the staff are very welcoming. Amenities are kept in good working order as well which is always appreciated.

Very professional and helpful. Maintenance is quick, and any issue we’ve come across - the staff have been very helpful and quick to assist. The building is kept very clean, and it’s clear they put a lot of care and consideration into their facility. Some of the elements of the apartment are a little low quality, (cabinets, light fixtures) but it’s part of getting lower rents, and they do renovate (brand new countertops). I would very much recommend Midwest for their consistency and dependability.

Rossdale House downtown edmonton now has a new gym. A bigger gym and i think this makes the apartment complex a much better place to live.

I've had a mixed experience with Midwest. Their building has been under repair nearly the entire year I've lived there, the amenities have been unavailable for most, and both the original signing and my leasing renewal was less than stellar. The location and the maintenance staff are the only reason I've stayed.

I rent a townhouse through Midwest and am always surprised by how quick the service is whenever maintenance is required. I complained after work that my water had turned brown and the next day came home
to a brand new hot water tank. Same went for a leak on my dishwasher. The maintenance checks are a welcomed routine that has kept everything in working order and are a comfort knowing everything is in tip top shape.

Midwest at southgate is great for university students; far enough that you don't feel like you're still on campus, but just a quick 15-25 minute commute via LRT or bike when you need to get back. Southgate mall, the whitemud EPL branch, and other stores/restaurants are within walking distance too. Buildings are well-maintained and rent includes access to the fitness center, pool/hot tub, and games room. The office hours aren't always reliable and things seem a bit disorganized in there at times, but the staff are friendly and always willing to help.

Over the long weekend, I was not able to pay my rent on the first which was a Saturday; typically you can pay till the 3rd but it was over the weekend, so they charged me late fees, when I requested to remove them, the manager at the property said contact the head office as she cannot help, I contacted the head office, no call back from the head office and yesterday they sent an eviction notice! Saying I have to pay rent with late fees or be evicted. Still havent called me back. I talked to the manager of the building who is on site and she started getting rude to me.
Bad customer service and no respect for customer!

The village at Southgate does not disappoint. The amenities are incredible and the location amazing.

Some of the units are a bit outdated but they are working on getting them all up to speed. They want to work with their tenants and view them as people, not just a number.

Julie is especially incredible as part of the management team. She was available to fit me and my fiancé with the right apartment for the budget we had. It was a breathe of fresh air to deal with such a wonderful person when trying to get a new home when starting a new life with someone.

If you are wanting value and high quality of living, choose the village at Southgate. Highly recommend.

Don't be fooled into renting at empire park. The site manager is nice until you sign your lease. She has cut off my power, didn't give me access to fill my card to do laundry. Said I couldn't have the new fob until I brought her proof of my utility bill. And when I did she gave me the fob but didn't activate it so I still couldn't do laundry. Charged me more "service" fees than the utility bill was. Gave me an eviction notice due to those "service" fees. Apparently I am required to pay someone $50.00 to pay a bill for me, each time. I had to go to a court hearing which apparently even though I need to follow the ruling they feel they dont need to. Damage was done to my personal belongings and I had to clean up sewage in my bathroom, when I showed pictures she said they said they were not responsible. And I should go through my own insurance. Even though I had TWO professional plumbers come out and look at what happened. And explained what had happened. And was recommended I should have gotten processionals in to clean due to the bacteria. Oh, and when they take you to court even though you receive a copy they will tape it to your door with your personal information and the court ruling for everyone in the building to see. They expect you to pay rent on time, but it needs to be paid by debit, which makes it impossible if your shift is 11am -7 pm. And the office doesnt open until after I leave for work and closes before I get home.
Living somewhere I considered home shouldn't be a constant source of stress.

Moved into Edmonton House more than a month ago. Insane river valley views! Been a good experience living here, management has been helpful and accommodating. They hired a new cleaning company that did a piss poor job for move in day. Sound does travel through walls, potential for disruptive neighbors, in my case neighbors are quiet and I have no issue. The finishing in suite are of basic quality, little used and abused, but everything functions. Its a great place to live if your looking for something downtown. Amenities are amazing, very clean, friendly staff, would recommend a river valley view.
