Absolutely love Millarville! There is always a variety of vendors, including (but not limited to), food, clothing and other things that make excellent gifts (even as a gift to yourself). Plus, you're supporting local businesses which is ALWAYS a bonus. It's a bit of a drive to get to, but it is a lovely scenic route and it doesn't take long to get there. I highly recommend checking Millarville out when you get the chance!
Great camping area and farmers market, each camping spot is unique and has easily accessible outhouses, after 11 is quiet and everyone is really respectful. The farmers market is always fun and has tons of amazing local vendors
First time at the Farmer’s market… important quality of this market are the Saturday hours! Lots of mingling room, huge variety of vendors - not many people carry cash for the $3/person entrance donation fee though.
There's nothing to see here. Waste of gas money & time. Dont come. Market is a flop. There are much better markets and vendors in other small towns & calgary. Had horse races on this weekend.there were too many people for what this place could handle. Not enough washroom portapotties are so gross. Racing horses in hot weather was cruel. People had dogs locked in cars. Authorities were called. People are rude & entitled. Everything is overpriced. The hotdogs vendor was the only food truck. I swear his hotdogs were animals guts - I'd never seen a white inside smokie. It was 8$. Waste of my time & money will never go back. Many people were rude & entitled. Who treats their animals this way? And they're supposed to be very well cared for.yeah ok. Very much a me first and only attitude. Very selfish, entertain me mentality.
We visited during the Market. What a fun day. You will find lots and lots of fresh produce. Flowers and plants. Kettle corn, meats and cheeses. Honey, jams, bakery items. Crafts, gifts, leather goods. AND so so much more!
Going to the races in Millarville on Dominion Day has become a tradition in my family. Great place to celebrate a portion of Alberta's culture that once made Canada a good place to live. It was refreshing to see the sidesaddle women's race involved no man claiming to be a woman.
Cool place. Interesting Vendors. Enjoyed our time here BUT the walking path is difficult to walk on with a walker, wheelchair or carriage as the big rocks are hard to manoeuvre.
Went to the Christmas market and it solidifies what I think of markets. Over priced items that you can buy in stores. Honestly disappointing. I'm so done with farmers markets. Felt totally ripped off when these guys selling seafood fed me a line that the crab cakes were from BC. When I got home and unpacked the $96 box I bought, the bags says from USA. Full of preservatives. Basically something you could find at Costco for much much cheaper.
