Millbourne Mall Medical Centre

My family have been attending this clinic since 2014 and myself only since 2019. However Myself personally I've had a mix of good and not as good interactions with different staff members. One staff member in particular "Manpreet", her customer service skills or lack of for that matter leaves alot to be desired. She is rude, her tone of voice is unwelcoming, she acts as if she not interested in engaging with the patients, and in fact has a tendency to turn people away abruptly without proper service. Now understand that the people coming here are already feeling less than 100% without being treated poorly ontop of that and spoken to disrespectfully. I hope something can be done about this staff member's attitude or their patients may start going elsewhere for medical attention.

Dr. Auer is an amazing pediatrician. She was very attentive and professional during the appointment. The support staff and the facility are good as well!

Dr Auer doesn't care for her past patients because she's to full to take new patients. When we did go see her, she misdiagnosed my child as having a cold, even though her intern diagnosed correctly. Dr Auer turned and said to her "No he only has a cold". Turned out the intern was correct, he had serious asthma due to very serious allergies.

It was not the first time going to her for the same issue. She didn't send him for test and as I stated her student intern pinpointed actually what was wrong well Dr Auer insisted that it was just a cold, even though I had taken my child previously for the same issue.

I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. Absolute misery from front desk till doctors. Looks like they only seeing patient for the sake of seeing and filling up their schedule and charts.
No one of the female doctors here are good at all. First they don’t know how to talk to their patients and secondly they never have a solution and on top of this if they can’t treat here, they send you to emergency for minor issues.

Really bad Doctors because they don’t want to give proper care to patients if he/she is not your regular dr Zacarías told me it was the last time she will help me and I had to see a dr that is never there really careless and discriminatory I never heard that from other clinics I hope they close this place. I am not going back there lazy Drs.

I was seen at this medi centre on a Sunday on short notice while all other medi centres were either closed or not taking walk ins. I had a very good experience despite being sick and coughing till my lungs hurt.

The receptionist was kind and friendly; the doctor (he was the only one) was caring and pleasant. It was the best experience I’ve had at a medi centre in a while especially post-COVID. Thanks for keeping your doors open on a Sunday.

I had an appointment and was a bit late.they still wait for me and let me in immediately. Dr. Ace Cheung is a very patient doctor. He checked up all details with us when we first time visit. No covid test is required.all previous comments are wrong.

The receptionist is so rude this is not racism but the Indian receptionist is so rude, unprofessional and argue with you about booking an appointment. This clinic is so unprofessionally handled DO BETTER

This Clinic I have been going to since I have moved to Canada has some best doctors, but unfortunately their front desk staff is miserable, they never book you when you need, every doctor who works here is always fully booked and we should die,
The staff is insensitive and rude and never understanding, when inquiring upon the doctor herself, the doctor told me that she is having a slow day while these ladies told me she is fully booked. I am highly disappointed and recommend visiting the doctors working here to Parsons Clinic.
Honestly their staff is much better and understanding. I would never recommend anyone to visit this place

Unprofessional, rude customer service, no value of appointment time. They say on phone dr J****r is on time but as usaul never on time appointment i wait there about 3 hours for my turn. If you do not have time to time attend patients then STOP taking appointments value our time. Patients have no free time to wait for YOU

Dr. Anwer Abdalla, has been my doctor since I moved to Edmonton which is 10 years now.

Dr. Anwer is one of the best doctors not because he is my doctor but because of how he treats his patients. I am always having anxiety issues and stressed when it comes to my health. Dr. Anwer is very knowledgeable, he will listen, provide all the necessary tests, give you the information and medication you need to help you. He will then tell you to check in with him in a few days to a week, just to ensure everything is ok and to see how you are doing with the medication.

Whatever my health issues are, small or big, medical or none medical, Dr. Anwer never dismiss it. He always provides tests, assessments, ask questions, listen and gives the necessary information to help.

In my opinion Dr. Anwer is the definition of FAMILY DOCTOR as he is definitely my family and he knows more about myself and my health vs anyone else. Without a doubt I have complete faith and trust in my doctor.

Thank you Dr. Anwer, for everything you do for your patients.

I needed to bring my 18 month old daughter in because she was waking up screaming for 2 nights in a row and was fevered. I was thinking it might be an ear infection, so I wanted to get antibiotics. I also mentioned that I wanted to bring in my 3 year old daughter in as well because she has runny nose and was developing a cough. They were both getting over bronchialitis a couple weeks ago. They said I could bring both girls into the appointment. The doctor was rude, declined to see my oldest daughter and simply said my 18 month old is fine and to just use saline drops. I know my daughter, and she is sick. She is fussy and in pain, etc. I will never come here again. By far the worst medical experience I've ever had.
Update:
I went to another clinic the next day and the doctor said my girl had an ear infection in both ears and she also took her temperature, she was fevered. She was prescribed antibiotics and the doctor offered to call on Friday for a follow-up.

I see why this place only has 2.2 stars they judge people by what they look like. I walked in right off the hop the lady told me there not taking walk in and I need to go get a rapid test so I went right across to shoppers got a rapid test and there was one lady in front of me and she was a walk in and it was for her son and he wasn't even there with her and they booked her in for today but told her it would be a bit of a wait and then when I went to the same lady again she to book an appointment she said nothing available till monday so I said ok why did you just take that lady she was a walk in and her son wasn't even with her I book an appointment with a way better walk in clinic mabey dont judge people by the way they look awful service will never come back again ps I have been here many times before this has never happened to me shame on you guys

I truly hate going to the Milbourne medical clinic in the mall. The receptionists are so rude and completely unprofessional. I too work in the medical industry and see patients. I understand there can be wait times but this is unacceptable. The doctor is always late. On average I wait 2 HOURS each time! I unfortunately have to see the doc every 1-2 months. Doesn’t matter if my appointment is the first one in the morning she is still late. I have been seeing this Dr for a couple years now and she herself is good, but the staff and the wait is horrendous. There is also no communication between the staff and the doctors. The doctor says one thing and then the staff says that they can’t do that even though the doctor specifically said what needs to be done. I’m changing clinics and doctors. I hate this clinic so much. They make getting basic healthcare a miserable experience and a huge inconvenience.

I called to book an appointment and was told to come before a certain time and as I came in they told me they aren’t accepting walkins and was sent away

I just seen Dr Nawab.
She is not a very nice lady. I had to demand what I wanted. Unprofessional. She thought I wanted her to be my family dr, she seemed more annoyed than anything. But she was the only choice I had to use at the moment. If anything I think she would have been happy considering it’s a paid visit.
She should be more considerate about other people and their needs.
My appointment was at 3: 15 today.
The other staff are all amazing and very helpful.

I walk in at 10: 45 to see a doctor, the receptionist told me if I have taken a COVID test and I said “yes”. She then told me that I had to bring it for proof that I was negative. So another 20 minutes to go home and come back and show her that I was negative. I sit down and other patients of the same ethnicity come in and they are being asked the same questions about the COVID test, but once the patient says that she is negative the receptionist said it’s ok you can have a seat. Like, I’m sorry? So you’re telling me if I was from east India and told you that I was negative I could’ve saved myself 20 minutes of my time. Overall the doctor that saw me was sweet unlike the receptionists that couldn’t even give me a clean pen to fill out a form that I was handed.

Worst medical centre I’ve ever been to. Worst and rudest front desk I’ve seen in canada with the worst and rudest doctors

What a sad excuse for a clinic. I just went here with my sick daughter. My wife called yesterday and they told her they take walk ins after 12. I'm there it's 3 and I ask to see someone and all of a sudden they just stopped seeing patients. I see patients full in the waiting room. No sign, the door is wide open. But no for me and my child I missed some invisible rule by half an hour. Hire more physicians, put up signs. How can your times change by the hour. Update: after cooling off I added 1 star to be reasonable, if the physician says no more patients then they need to hire more doctors or close the door. The receptionist although frustrating because of the circumstances, was not rude. If she's told no more she can't be blamed. Still a poor experience but I've been there before with better experiences in the past.

Today i went to this clinic without appointments and they was very helpful and kind to me and my daughter!
Dr Imran Ahmed is a perfect person and very professional and helpful to.
My daughter is feeling better after taking medication!
I would suggest that doctor to all people I know!

Terrible place turned my 8 year away wouldn't even look at her this is at 10am nobody else there no other patients place is junk.

The front desk is rude. They are always fully booked. Their customer service is so unprofessional. My kids were sick and that receptionist was giving me an appointment for next month. Like really? Is your health run on a schedule? She is always in a hurry to hang up in between.

Don't bother coming here. Poor medical education.they front care.maybe muslim but very rude and the doctors don't listen.

Even though I booked my appointment I had to wait for an hour. No proactive communication or planning from the front desk. I don’t see any reason for booking an appointment. Not sure whether the management will read this review, if they so means please respect other people time though. I got a feeling that you guys never care for other people time and schedule. And projecting you are not running this clinic in a professional manner. Very disappointed with their patient appointment management.

Dr Khan is my favorite doctor ever. Very friendly and personable, and professional at the same time. Takes the time needed to give proper diagnosis, does not rush, will request extra tests and refer to specialist to make sure nothing is missed. Highly recommend Dr Suqlain Khan.

I always come here when I am in need of medical help and for some answers when I’m feeling unwell. Dr. Khan is absolutely wonderful. They always get me in as promptly as possible and the staff at front are absolutely lovely! Satinder was at front I spoke with during my recent visit and she made my visit so welcoming.

Worst place, waited 2 hrs over from the appointment time. If you can’t handle and manage the appointments don’t book any.

Dr. Ahmed was patient and very thorough. Called right at 9am to get an appointment and they fit us in right away.

Terrible! Terrible! Terible! Clinic. I called them to book an appointment for my 10 months old daughter as she has a fever. I also had her negetive covid-19 test result and receptionist told me their doctors are not seeing fever patients at all. What a joke. Is this your doctor's work ethics? I wish I could give em a 0 star. A big Zeroooo.

Service was great, I got there before it opened and was in and out within 15 minutes! It wasn't busy at all, and the nurse even said it's usually so busy first in the morning.

They over book their appointments so they can milk and cram as many patients in 15min time frame.

Last two times I have been there my readings have been 140+/80+ and no one mentions a thing lol.

Such bad experience.the doctor had no manners to talk.if someone is sick and in pain.the worst thing a doctor can do is talking rude.so upsetting.

Expect to wait at least 1 hour to 2 hours for your APPOINTMENT. Doesn't make sense at all. OK staff. Nothing special. All doctors are always in a rush. When you need a follow up, guess what, the doctor is going on vacation and will be back after 3 months

This place will have you to wait long time even though you have a appointment. Bad service. They should close this kind of clinic if they cannot run the business properly. It’s wasting time.

So Disappointed with my visit today
Had some test done, got called from office to see the Doctor soon possible, book appt for 3.30, reached there at 3.10 so i can pick up my kids at 4. Doctor show up at 4.20.she rushed in, for less than a minute visit just to tell me not to worry everything is fine. I mean this could have been a phone call. I guess my time has no value.

My appointment was 3: 15pm but the doctor attends me at around 4: 16pm over an hour of waiting! And she didnt explain me properly my lab test and she finished only 10 mins.for an hour of wating.i was not satisfied.i am so disappointed because for almost 4 years in this clinic it ends up like this.

I have been going to this clinic for a quite a long time now. And every time I visit, I leave the place with full of disappointments. But today, I had the worst experience there. I had an appointment at 1: 20pm, and I was in there sharp at 1: 15pm. They took me in the room after checking my temperature and blood pressure by 1: 20pm. No one, literally no doctor showed up till 1: 50. I was waiting in the room with no sign of doctor coming. After waiting for 30 minutes, I left the room and a physician from behind call my name and said the doctor is here. Like you really expect me to see her after waiting for 30 minutes? I took an off from work to see the doctor just to waste my time there. I told her I'm not seeing her anymore since I was waiting inside for a long long time. And she went like oh you want us to cancel the appointment? Like wth? Was it even an appointment? Bcz either way I was waiting more than 30 minutes. And she didn't even bother listening to me and left.
SAVE YOUR TIME AND DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. I WISH I COULD COMPLAIN TO ALBERTA HEALTH CARE.

EDIT: I’m still wondering why hasn’t AHS taken any action against this clinic and the doctors there. They are super unprofessional and mismanaged. They do not even care about their patients at all. Their lack of professional could lead to a bigger problem for a patient some day.

I was having a hard time trying to find a clinic that would accept me without an appointment.iIt was the end of the day and the ladies were nice enough to squeeze me in even though they were closing. It was much appreciated. Everyone was very pleasant including the doctor I saw. Thank Ladies, u saved me from an extra day of pain.

Today, I was at the Millbourne Mall Medical Centre after 2 years, and was so impressed to find them following the protocols. The cleanliness of the rooms where the patients are examined by the doctors was impressive. I conveyed my appreciation to the management and staff. The doctor was very good and compassionate, and so were the rest of the team.

I was so much touched with this responsible attitude.

I had been to a different clinic in another town last week, and was surprised (don’t know whether it is the right term to use in this context) to see that I was escorted to a room, and asked to wait for the doctor. I stood at the door inside the room as the paper sheet on the examination table was torn and crumbled, pillow and the disposable Underpad lay haphazard. I felt insecure as the Covid protocols were not being followed. I was even more surprised at the doctor removing the sheets and placing a new one, bare-handed (no gloves), pushing it on top of the garbage bin which was already past its capacity.

I would certainly follow-up with the doctor in Millbourne Mall Medical Centre. I pray and hope that they be able to continue serving the community with the same, or even more prudence and diligence. I explained about the other clinic to which I went last week, to say that I felt much secure and relieved when I was at Millbourne Mall Medical Centre.

When I did my Bachelor’s degree in Commerce I was taught by my teachers and text books that the “customer is the king”, and when I did my Bachelor’s degree in one of the healthcare professions, I learned that the “patient is the king”, and had this part of my ethics so deep in my heart, that I tried to abide by it to the best of my ability in my professional path. Later, again, when I changed my career path, I tried to put into practice what I learned all through the years. Let all of us who serve, whatever our profession or career be (even if as a housewife, and not for monetary remuneration), treat the one who receives our service as the “King”.

I wish Millbourne Mall Medical Centre all the very best in continuing to treat the “patient as the king”.

The Doctor who rushed into the room gave my child a quick look over after she had a serious blow to the head earlier that day. Then felt the need to make a comment about her not cooperating with his requests. He made a snap judgement about my child which hurt her feelings. My child has a delay which sometimes makes it hard for her to understand directions. Not every child is built the same way where they’re going to understand the directions that are given. Especially from a Doctor Who is racing his words. His words were coming out so fast that I could barely understand him. Just as quick as he came in the room to look her over he was quick to diagnose or lack there of and then out of the room he was gone. Terrible bedside manner.

This medical clinic is closed 50 % of the time due to no doctor available. This is the worst doctors office in millwoods and Edmonton area

The front desk staff is very rude and will never listen to you. I dont know if they are managing the clinic this way. If possible keep yourelf away from this clinic. The management should train them or fire them from the job.

The lady at the front desk just sent me home, because I am not wearing a face mask, and they don’t provide them.how sweet. Not the first time I am having unpleasant experience there. If not dr. Auer, who is my kids pediatrician, I would never show up at this place.

I usually cme here for dr fozia zakaria and dr nawab they both are osm.but the receptionsts are really annoying.i thought they are rasict with other people but my own indian gitls are so harsh with me.i was the one who cme first as walk in but they let me wait for more thn o e hour.if i can see dr nawab and zakaria some where else i would never recommend dis place.i hate the receptionists

Closing at 5pm on Sunday’s, but the receptionist I talked to says they already done for the day around 2: 40pm.

Very disappointing experience.doctor was very judgmental and quick to assume, rather than making a professional assessment.prescribed medication that did not properly assist with my issues, then proceeded to make more assumptions.upset at the waste of time, when i could have gone elsewhere for a more responsible and professional treatment.will not be going back.

Waiting time is loo long even you have appointment. Who ever is manager they need to look into this, or just finished the appointment system and treat whoever comes first. But really it’s a big waste of time specially in working days. Please look into this seriously

Worse clinic in all of Edmonton I only deal with them because it’s walking distance from my house but most times they refuse to treat patience’s almost hours before closing extremely long wait times and unsentimental clerks

I and my wife used to go this clinic to see Dr. Fouzia Zakaria, she is wonderful knowledgeable and very much time oriented. She took a very good history in detail and then prescribed medication. I strongly recommend her as a family physician. God bless you Dr. Zakaria

Worse experience that i did here. Staff told me 1 hour waiting timing but did not call me after waiting 1: 30 hour. When i asked for my turn every time they told you are next but call to other patients. Because of their unresponsive behaviour my baby's condition deteriorate than before. I never recommend to anyone.

I was informed that the Dr takes only walk ins and no appointment on Wednesday, 6-Nov-2019. Dr Availability is 4 to 8 pm.
So, Registered around 6.30 PM. Front desk said, 6 patients ahead of me & all are walk in, should not be taking long.
I was called to the room around 8 pm & the assistant said 4 patients ahead of me. Assistant said, the Dr is by himself
90 minutes for the Dr to see 2 WALK IN patients,
-that too walk in?
-Seriously?

I have heard about favoritism in prioritizing friends, today I witnessed and become a victim myself. So, sad AHS is doing nothing to control such atrocities.

Absolutely horrible. My mom had an appointment for 1: 15, we were on our way and were running late by 5-10 minutes, so naturally my mom called the clinic to notify them. She was told by front staff that waiting time was over 1 hour and it would be okay if she's running a little late. So we stopped to do some errands and arrived at the clinic at 2: 05, only to be told the doctor had left for the day. The least I expected was a call back before the doctor had left or an update about new wait times, or even letting us know when the doctor was supposed to leave so we could be at the clinic before then. When asked for another doctor, front staff said there was a doctor but this time the wait time was 2 hours. Needless to say, we walked out of the clinic utterly disappointed. Front staff is extremely unprofessional. Plan for yourselves and do not count on their information.

Horrible doctors! Dr. Khan is late coming in, likes to make invalid points and offers no solutions. Im suffering from chrons/colitis and was looked at like a forien object.

I know well that this review won’t make any improvements of the front staffs attitude toward clients or in their client service delivery or approach

But still I will write this comment as I have the right to speak and express my views. We have been visiting this clinic for quite long time it’s mainly due to couple doctors who are really very good and always approachable.

However the staffs who sits in the front reception is quite adamant, arrogant and consider that the clients are at their mercy to see the doctor for the scheduled appointments. Lack of professionalism is evident and have high attitude concerns. I would like to recommend the management to administer personality development and attitude development classes to those staffs to behave well to the clients who visit the clinic with schedules and emerging needs.

Dr. Nawaab the worst doctor ever asks you personal questions and judges you on your condition. She shouldn't be a doctor at all and is unprofessional and rude.
Staff is better but she will be nice with people from her country but rude and mean with other people.
Never going back there and reported her and telling people not to go there to get her as their doctor.
