Mint Auto Service Westbrook

Just came across their card and wanted to come on and give another review. A while back (in the Covid days) I had a flat tire and was completely stressed out and beside myself because I was totally broke and didn’t know what I was going to do. Luckily I found these guys and they took my tire in, fixed it up for me and sent me on my way free of charge. I’ve never forgotten that kindness. The world needs more people like them. So thanks guys for helping a frazzled girl out when she needed it most.

This is was an amazing auto service experience for me. I felt extremely well respected (especially as a young woman). The service was amazing, everything was completed incredibly fast and with excellent communication. They had a quote ready for me when I dropped off the vehicle, it was completed the same day. Any items that did not need to be completed but watched for were thoroughly explained to me on why and how to watch them. I had an amazing experience and will be recommending this shop to friends and family.

Needed a CV joint replaced on my Subaru. Called Mint on Tuesday and, by Thursday afternoon, my car was repaired. Along the way, Travis kept me very well-informed as to timing and estimated cost which, near as I can tell, was pretty reasonable. Very pleased with my experience and will definitely be using these guys again next time I have a mechanical problem.

Warren was great to deal with. He was very forthcoming and transparent and I believe he was helping me make the right choices for my brake replacement.

Pricing was comparable to the other quotes I was getting, but being on the Neo Rewards network made me pick them.

I have been a satisfied customer of Tim's for 11 years. When arriving in Calgary and needing a vehicle inspection, I took my vehicle to Speedy Apollo, Westbrook. I am a single, senior woman and need to have someone I can trust to service my car. Tim has always been honest and forthright with me about my vehicle and has treated me with respect and always a smile on his face. His employees are always friendly and eager to help in any way necessary. A professional team and a friendly atmosphere. As a newcomer who just moved to Ab, I felt warmly welcomed. Manager Warren is a kind-hearted person who patiently helped me analyze the issues with my vehicle and provided a reasonable solution.

2 weeks ago, brought my Toyota Sienna 2004 to check on sounds at the driver’s side wheel and to check on the brakes. Kurt is always very helpful, and the technician did a very good job in detecting the sounds and repairing it. Now i feel safer knowing the sound is gone and the brakes are still good to go.

Another thing is Kurt explained the price clearly, and i find it reasonable. (Jacob)

I had a regrettable experience at the Mint Auto located on 17th Avenue. I initially brought my vehicle in with a suspected issue: a broken vertical shift cable. After their supposed inspection, I was informed that I needed a costly transmission replacement, amounting to $2800. Additionally, they charged me $80 for their inspection services.

What raised further concerns was the fact that my car remained untouched during its stay at the shop, as the shift boot had not been removed and the car had not been moved. Frustrated by this, I went for a second opinion from a reputable transmission shop. To my relief, they confirmed my suspicion that it was indeed a broken shift cable, which incurred a reasonable repair cost of $500.

Adding to my dissatisfaction, one of the employees at Mint Auto on 17th tried to convince me to sell my car to his friend, who specializes in buying and selling vehicles. This was clearly an attempt to exploit the situation for personal gain.

My experience at this shop was extremely disappointing and concerning. Not only did they misdiagnose my car's issue, suggesting an unnecessary and expensive repair, but they also charged me for an inspection that was incomplete. Their unethical attempt to push me into selling my car only added to my dissatisfaction. I would strongly advise others to exercise caution when considering this shop for their automotive needs.

Unfortunately now that Steve is gone this place went down hill. Flexibility over appointments went away, and you have to leave the car for a whole day to get an oil change! I will not be using their business ever again.

Warren is the best, got us in quick. Wanted an inspection for a vehicle that’s sat around the past couple years just to make sure it was safe. Walked me through their findings and what they advised was necessary. Left feeling in good hands, didn’t pressure us into doing unnecessary repairs or fixes.

Mint has done work on both vehicles of ours a few times and it was always a good experience until today.
Had one vehicle in for the morning and one for 1pm. I took the day off to get tires swapped on both vehicles. I showed up at 4: 30 and noticed my truck with the winter tires still on and noticed 1 of the 5 bays had vehicles in it. I called to ask what happened and was told they couldn’t get to it. When really I’m sure it was forgotten about. The offered solution was to come back another day of my choice with a discount, when in reality I’d be losing another days work. When I went in to get my keys, 3 employees were at the counter and didn’t say a word until my back was turned which was a soft quiet “sorry”. It’s unfortunate to see mint operating this way.

An awesome repair shop, they do a great job explaining issues and repairs. In my opinion, it is difficult finding an honest mechanic; these guys are honest!

I've used a lot of mechanics in Calgary over the past 20 years and this has by far been my favorite. Scott is awesome to work, pricing is fair and he's always been honest with me. They also took in my gf's leaking tire last minute and got it sorted right away.

Mint has done my last two seasonal tire swaps. Very happy with the cost and friendly service.

I was recommended to Mint Auto in Westbrook by a friend who was happy with their experience. I will be recommending them to others as I have been extremely satisfied with my three experiences.
Their prices are fair, and their inspections are thorough.
They took care of a tire that was installed incorrectly during a winter change over with no push back. An auto shop that corrects their wrongs and doesn't give you a hassle about it or make you feel dumb.never heard of one until now.
Sometimes bringing a car in for an oil change can lead to more, and I'm never sure if I'm getting a fast one pulled on me or not. I truly trust Mint Auto in Westbrook to be honest and fair and I will be coming back from here on out.
Every single person working there, whether at the desk or in the shop, are friendly, understanding, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend giving them your business.

Steve and the rest of the team are great! Booked me in right away on a Monday morning the instant I said my catalytic converter had been stolen! Helped me right away and had assessed the damage before lunch time! A wonderful and friendly service! Thank you so much once again!

Mint Auto is by far the best shop I have been to, they were fast, efficient  and explained everything to me in a way I could understand. I am so thankful for their service, and will definitely be bringing my car back in the future!
