Mirchi has the BEST fish pakoras! They melt in your mouth - I’ve tried 4 places and none compare

Food is amazing, service is great too. Just need to pay little attention on delivery orders, such as food is fresh and well prepared. Ensure the quality is the same whether dining or delivery service.

Good Samousa, but the lamb karahi dish is considered small for 22$ compared to your competitors. Naan is also not very fresh.
With some improvements it will be great!

Disappointing. Rude phone call, substitutions that we’re not discussed (plain rice not a great substitute for salad and raita), just subpar customer service. It feels like Mirchi doesn’t really care about the satisfaction of their guests. Food is only ok and unfortunately doesn’t swing the vote.

Update: i am changing my review from 5 star to 1 star. Because of rude behaviour of the server. Few month ago they hired a new waiter (man) who is incredibly rude to all customers.

Food was awesome! Staff was super friendly! But owner keeps the tips. So offer the staff a job and stick it to the management.

Excellent place for getting halal food, all dishes are good, especially chicken tikka, chicken karahi and hot naan from the oven, who's already hungry?
Whenever I visit Calgary this is my favourite restaurant for a quick bite.

I’m not sure where to begin. After waiting a few minutes a man comes to the desk stands in front of my date and I and deliberate about what to have, he offers us a menu almost like it was a last resort. After taking his advice for how much to order and eat, I realized there was no rice. He informs me the only way to get rice with our meal is to order another dish ($16 value) which I declined, because in the past in coming here it was available. As our first dish arrives, he neglects to give us cutlery so we’re left sitting there for a few minutes as he disappears into the back. I manage to grab his attention and ask for some, which he promptly forgets so he can do other things. So for a span of 5-6 minutes we’re just left staring at our food. I get his attention again and he brings some spoons and we finally commence with eating our first dish, which tasted great, then our next dish arrives and it’s not our order, and he knows this and he offers to give it to us at the same price because it’s worth more than our original order. We decline and ask for the dish we had ordered and it arrives after some time, it is comparatively speaking much smaller than the incorrect dish that was brought out. 12 pieces of 1cm cubed chicken inside a soup of sauce for butter chicken with no rice. I go to the till to pay and he tries charging me for the dish I didn’t order offering to give me cash back to cover the difference. To top it all off the naan was rock hard. It was more flatbread than naan.

Lady on the cash counter was very nice and knowledgeable, she recommended me the best dishes. Fresh and tasty food, very good customer service

I went there with my family. We dine in, the service was too good and the food was very delicious. The tandoori platter combo was to good and it’s worth. If you ever visit calgary Must try food in mirchi restaurant. Thank you for your great service and food.

Cut back on the salt and food would be a little more edible. It's twice now that biryani was extremely salty didn't really enjoy it.

We were a big fan of their chicken tikka, and we still are. But today they charged us for literally rotten chicken karahi. It was awful, we paid 15 CAD for that item although we could not eat it. They said, they can't do anything about it. I think I should have called food safety authority. Serving rotten meat is a crime. Hilarously, they were asking if we wanted to take that home.

Great place, amazing food and friendly staff. Always enjoyed the food and always greeted with a smile.

You definitely must try this restaurant it’s truly magnificent and full of flavour, Amjad and the rest of his staff are truly kind and generous people who make you feel right at home personally greeting you to ensure the meal is made to your highest standard, I definitely recommend especially for the Nehari and mutton Karahi, my personal favourites, a highly recommended and well deserved 10/10

This was my first time at Mirchi. I wasn’t sure what to order but the hostess made a great suggestion for the Chicken Karahi Deluxe and Chicken Briyani. Both were very flavorful and tasty! The service was speedy. If you are looking for a quiet, intimate space with great food, this is the place.

Biryani was drenched in oil (The bag looked worse than the BP spill lol), also ordered the Afghani Tikka which was very dry, portion were small. Lastly, the "fresh" roti had the consistency of a piece of pita left sitting out for 2 days straight. Overall major thumbs down there are better places in the city.

It’s my regular weekend go-to place for some good food. I love their prawns karahi, naan bread and chicken biryani!

Incredible authentic daal and paneer curry with freshly made naan. As vouched by my Pakistani partner! Highly recommend.

Their biryani tastes amazing along with the BBQ platter, tastes delicious! My go to place for Pakistani food. Delivery has always been quick and in-person visits have been welcoming, very personable people!

Tasty dishes and affordable price. Better than I expected. If Chai tea could be put in mug, China cup or something similar instead of paper cup, it would be perfect!

Extremely BAD Experience. I called this place today afternoon and asked the guy about availability of a food item. He responded so rudely and roughly that I was surprised. When I asked him to correct his behaviour, he got more aggressive and started using abusive language. I would request owner to look into it. I would never recommend this place.

This restaurant will physically abuse you if you question their advertised price. I was willing to pay the amount that they rang through at the restaurant, but I wanted to help them out to let them know it's false advertising by SkipTheDishes. As soon as I said that, the owner (I assume) came out from the back and actually physically assaulted me by pushing me. I could charge him for assault but I was more so confused as to what just happened. They claim they cancelled their contract with Skip. Yet, Skip is still advertising on behalf of their business? If you are able to place an order from them through Skip, I'll bet they lied to me.

We ordered several of their dishes one night, loved all of them so much that the next 4 days we ordered from the same place!

Every night we placed our order over the phone, they said it would take 15/20 minutes, and it never took more than that. Loved the food and the experience! Highly recommended!

Very disappointing. The Rice was terrible. The sides tasted like they were several days old and simply just microwaved. The only positive was the "garlic naan" which tasted like flatbread from a pizza place, very out of place. Service was good but the kitchen refused feedback and was arrogant about it. Disappointing overall

Rice was old and microwaved, otherwise the food was good. But their service sacked. We had call the server so many time to remind her for the missing items and she came once with mouthful of food. Very unprofessional!

Dined in Mirchi tonight, I had noting lees than an excellent experience, food was amazing and the staff were super friendly. They even gave us free dessert: D would highly recommend this place for a great time.

Just went they're for dinner yesterday and so far this had been the best pakistani food I've had in calgary. Will definetly go back. Only took a star of because their seating arrangement is fairly limited

Absolutely amazing food, I would recommend eating it in store as it is fresh and hot, not sure about ordering it but the butter chicken, Afghan kabob, tandoori kabob and garlic Naan slapped

The quality of the food has gone downhill. As an example, butter chicken was watery, smallish portion, not worth the price being charged! It's expensive considering the small portions, and watered down curries! Won't be going back!

Karahi Lamb and Chicken Karahi and Naans and the amazing tamarind Chatni.it was cooked exactly like an Indian like it.five stars from me.thank you.

This was my first Indian cuisine that I have tried in the city since I moved here. I didn't know what to expect but I was absolutely blown away, the unique flavors and textures were all excellent. Service was fast and comprehensive. 10 out of 10 would bring my mom that has never tried Indian food

I’ve been going to Mirchi since it opened, It used to be amazing. Not anymore! It’s slowly been going downhill over the years, now it’s at the bottom. The butter chicken is a watery flavourless soup with a couple pieces of chicken. The naan wasn’t even done right! Uncooked and doughy. Goodbye Mirchi you and I are done!
