We were told by previous service provider that nothing faster than 5Mbps could be offered within our area. Switched to high speed internet with Moby, now running well over 20x the speed, no problem. Transitioning to Moby was smooth, easy and fast! No more call center wait times waiting to speak to a human! Highly recommend Moby to any business seeking high speed internet at an affordable price.

Since the beginning, I was rooting for Moby as they aimed to break the monopoly of big providers like Telus and Shaw. They offered a deal for 600 Mbps at $50/month, while Telus's 500 Mbps cost around $75/month.

I was convinced to switch as this deal would save me money, and their customer support was supposed to be available 24/7.

Unfortunately, from the beginning, I experienced issues. My initial setup didn't work due to a "backend issue. " So, I had to call support on Sunday and spend 30 minutes setting it up myself while talking to technical support. Normally, things like this are being handled by a technician that comes to the apartment as not everybody has technical skills.

Then, I constantly experienced long loading times on all my devices (TV, MacBooks). Multiple calls to technical support didn't help. Even a technician visit didn't fix the issue. The modem provided by Moby is way smaller and cheaper looking than the one from Telus. I'm pretty sure this was the root of my problems. However, it was already replaced once by a technician.

Finally, during the workweek, my modem completely stopped working, and I was left without internet while working from home. Eight calls to Moby customer support didn't help. No one seemed interested in my problem, and I kept hearing that a technician couldn't arrive that day (it also didn't arrive the other day and no one reached out to me).

When I told the billing team that I wanted to cancel because they were not providing me with internet, their response was, "Okay, we will send you the cancelation form. " Again, they showed no interest in helping me solve the problem.

Unfortunately, as quickly as I switched to Moby, I moved back to Telus after two months. This was just my experience in Edmonton; the service might be better in Calgary.

I’m having Moby as a provider for my resident but the wifi is unstable and extremely unacceptable. When I reach for support through phone, they assisted me through some basic procedures such as restarting the routers but it’s still not working properly. Then, they told me to wait for their technicians to call back and still haven’t received the call. Looking the cancel it.

Paid for Flames Sport channel. Could not get 1st game of 2023 season.

No VOD.

Would not recommend.

I currently live in a Telus Internet only condo and just recently the condo board management allowed Moby to come in (your condo needs a fibre line and condo board approval for Moby to be allowed access).

I was paying Telus $100 - $45 in credits (credits which will expire in January 2023). I had the 3 year old Telus 75 plan (75Mbps up/down) which was sufficient for what I needed it for. But it look me almost an hour talking to them just to even get $45 ($10 was automatic because of with Telus Mobility) worth of credits and even having 3 mobile lines with Telus they were barely budging.

The closest current Telus plan they have now to the $100 (no credits involved) is $105 for 250Mbps up and down. They offer $10 off for having a current Telus or Koodo account and $20 off for signing up for a 2 year contract according to their website.

I now have Moby 1000 (1000Mbps up/down) which uses the same fibre line as Telus and I get a consistent 800-950Mbps up and down. I'm on their $60/month (special pricing when they came to advertise in our condo) guaranteed for 3 years with NO contract needed. There is a 1 time installation fee for the modem installation (which is a Wi-Fi router as well) that's $50 but you get that back if you decide to leave Moby upon returning their equipment.
I also got a $180 credit since I had 1-12 months left on my Telus Internet contract which is more than the total cancellation fees. If you have a contract with any other company that's for longer than 12 months, Moby was offering $360 in credits.

Please keep in mind the $60/month 1000Mbps pricing was a one time special offer when they were advertising in our condo but they still have amazing offers on their website!

I have not had a single outage so far (granted I'm just 1 month in with them).

I called Telus to ask what my cancellation fee would be because I told them I wanted to switch, they of course transferred me over to their retention department to see if they could try to retain me with a better plan/pricing than my current one without having to sign a new contract and they basically told me, "we can't offer you any more credits until your contract is done at the end of January. " I was shocked to hear that!

I'm tired of having to prove my value to these big companies just to get a fair price.

If you have a chance to try Moby Internet, I would highly recommend it!

I recently got Moby in my home after wanting it in my building for years! The price is unbeatable, the customer service is great and the internet is wicked fast (I got 1000 Mbps)! No complaints with the service so far and it always feels nice to support the independent little guy in an industry with almost no competition. Thanks to Sagar, Mohit and Ben for the great experience so far!

Right after I posted an issue with my internet speed, technician from Moby Stjepan Grgic was at my door. He was very much helpful, fully professional and all what he was doing for me, transferred knowledge to me for the possible future situation. Thank yo to Moby team and to Stjepan Grgic.

New company with many problems such as expected, offered me a rate of $55 a month then when the bill came it was $20 per month MORE. Called in constantly about the connectivity of my internet for the first month, They had to send the crew to fix everything and then pumped my rate and didn't give me a break for the service interruptions. Now they're holding my internet hostage for money that I don't owe them. I told him that I would pay the amount that I owe so I can restore my internet but they want the full amount that I didn't agree to. Not recommended

Their service is heads above the national providers. We are saving close to $200/ mn with better service. Their support staff and installers have been great. No regrets on changing providers!

Having worked with MSP's for a decade I have never had a ISP be as responsive to it's business customers than Moby. I loved dealing with them so much I now work for them!

Purchased a Moby Internet plan by phone, quick response and great service. They sent technicians in just two days to set up internet at home at no cost. Great and quick setup service by Sagar and Mohit. Very recommendable.

TL;DR: If you live in a condo in downtown Calgary that has Moby as an internet provider, I would HIGHLY recommend giving them a try.

My experience with Moby has been fantastic so far. I’ve had their internet service for about a two weeks and haven’t even considered going back to a larger internet provider.

The technician who set up my service was personable, easy going, and knowledgeable about the internet setup process.

Plus, their customer support was great too!

Unexpectedly due to an issue with how my condo was initially wired, the first few days of my internet service was limited to 100MB/s instead of the promised 1GB/s.

I contacted Moby (waiting on hold for less than 2 minutes) and within a day they had someone take a look and rewire some of the existing connections in my condo unit. Ever since, my internet has consistently had 1000GB/s speeds without a hiccup.

I cannot recommend them enough!

We have been Moby customers since early July. The internet works really well, no complaints, my wife streams her shows from Japan and chats with her friends from there, I have not heard anything negative from her about the internet, we are very pleased with the internet service. It took 2 phone numbers, two boxes and two visits from a tech to get our phone working and it works fine now. However, the TV feed is where we have a great deal of problems. The feed constantly cuts out I mean right now I am watch a news broadcast and without exaggerating whoever is speaking can not finish a single sentence without cutting out, it is HIGHLY annoying. I have notified staff about this, I was told to disconnect the black box, wait a minute and reconnect. At first that worked but it doesn't anymore. I was also told they would look into sending a tech to look at something on the roof, well that was 2 weeks ago and judging by the continuous interruptions, it appears nobody has come to do anything about it. I have been told that Moby is looking to upgrade the televisions system, which is great, but that does nothing for our reception right now. The TV problem has persisted since we got Moby service. Honestly, if nobody can do anything about it I may have to simply cancel Moby TV and go to streaming services, I don't want to do that but the reception is so bad that I am considering it. Hopefully by posting here, someone at Moby will take this seriously and do something about it. 2 starts because of the great internet but zero stars for the TV feed. It gets much worse when there is strong wind like last night, the television was completely unwatchable, the delays were nonstop, I had to watch news online. Please have someone look into this. Yesterday I saw two guys at the complex wearing Moby t-shirts but evidently they did not go up to the roof, they weren't here long enough, they stayed only a few minutes and left. We are happy to support small local businesses, but the TV feed thing has become a real problem.

I meant to leave this review a while ago. Shout out to Donovan at Moby. I had difficulties getting my internet to work (turns out it was because I accidentally pulled the fibre optic wire). Donovan was on call after hours and literally went to the ends of the earth to get this fixed so that I wouldn't have to miss an online meeting the next day. He spent several hours running around getting the equipment he needed, organizing things, learning how to fix my particular set up, communicating with me re: timelines and expectations, and then was the most kind person as well! I would have never received such great service at a larger company like Shaw or Telus. I was initially so frustrated when the internet wasn't working (turns out it was my fault) but Donovan really came through. Thank you so much Donovan (and Moby).

I retracted my previous review that gave them 5 stars because it’s not true anymore. I have had problems with my internet for weeks now and every time it goes out, the service line says we have to wait 3 days till someone can fix it. HELL NO! Tech issues are not a Monday to Friday issue… you need to have on-call techs for these things!

The last tech I had told me it was a wiring issue and nothing I do will make a difference. Someone must go upstairs and fix it. So when a customer tells you they did everything, DO NOT MAKE THEM DO IT AGAIN! It’s degrading. You have to get better service procedures.going days without internet is not what people pay for and shouldn’t pay for.

Internet speed is fast and price is super cheap compared to my previous provider. Wish I had discovered this years ago and saved a lot of money for the same quality of service.

Originally when I called at night I was put on hold for an hour and hung up. I happen to run into John the technician in my apt elevator and told him what happened. He was so apologetic and said he would get the office to call me immediately and do the installation that very same day. John was true to his word and the most awesome tech I've ever dealt with. I can't yet comment on the actual service but so far my wifi seems fast and the price for wifi and cable is really reasonable. Thanks again John!

Phil was here to install new moby equipment and was fantastic! Not only is he awesome to deal with but stayed extra long to resolve an issue with my cable box. Even though we couldn't fix it, he went above and beyond to try! I also love the service but my one complaint is that there is no after hours tech support. Even so, I'd recommend Moby for anyone looking for solid service, great techs and pretty low prices!

Donovan helped set up my Moby connection and it was a smooth and easy process. It took a total of about 15 min and I haven’t run any issues or problems. I really wished I switched over sooner. I would’ve saved so much money! Thanks, I’m super happy with my decision.

Moved into my apartment building in July 2021. We went with Moby because it was advertised all over the building, and prices seemed decent. We have had so many issues. So many days with no wifi, and no explanation. Not having wifi isn’t the biggest deal ever, but needing it for things like work, makes it a big deal. Today I woke up and we have no internet. No idea why. This happens at least once a week. It sometimes comes back after a while, but so disappointed. Never going with this company again. Going to continue using it until our lease is up, because the building is awful too. Such a bad experience all around.

Just upgraded to Moby for our wifi in our downtown apartment. Same price as we were paying with Shaw, but we get 5x faster internet. The technician John was fantastic - our install was a difficult one and he was patient throughout.

UPDATE. I have been with Moby for a few days and now that it is the long weekend. I HAVE NO INTERNET IN MY HOME. Of course nobody can come and check it. All I got was an apology. I did the reset, the reboot, all that stuff but to no avail. Good thing I have mobile data. You got to step it up, Moby. This is no good.

Chris was the tech who installed my router. He was efficient and respectful. Hoping Moby will be great all the way!

John from Moby was great when he came to install the internet service. Very professional and explained everything really well. Our building was having elevator issues and he climbed up 18 floors to make sure he completed his job timely. Very happy with that. Waiting to see how the internet works out:)

Really poor customer service over the phone! Nobody that you get ahold off can help you, they can only send a message to the concerned department and you’re supposed to receive a call back but you actually never receive
one. Also, they said that the first month was free of charge but they actually billed me. I would not recommend moby to anyone!

New to Calgary and signed up with Shaw before coming here but their technician was completely incompetent and left without enabling anything. So I cancelled their service and signed up with Moby. Donovan came in and fixed the issues Shaw guy couldn't and now I finally got my internet. One of the best experience I ever had.

Matt came the first day on a Thursday for the first install, had no success, so let me know everything that was happening and set me up with Chris the following day, who also had similar issues, told me I would be taken care of, set me up with a mifi to help with lack of service and then I called into moby Monday after work and got through to Darrin, he told me he was going to make sure to do everything he could to get me setup the next day (Tuesday), following day Darrin calls me with news of successful install and working services, overall the experience was interesting but at least I get like I was being taken care of, maybe the one note I would add is that the call centre/ office people answering call does t seem to have a structure to the call so it made me feel very uncomfortable and I didn’t no get the same feel from one call to the next, they need to ask the right questions first to establish who and what is going on not getting me to explain what’s happening first.other then that, I enjoyed the professional nature of all the techs I met, didn’t get to meet Darrin in person but he was more than helpful!

Our technician, Chris, was fantastic, and so funny. Literally the nicest person we’ve met in Calgary so far. He clearly knew what he was doing, thoroughly explained everything to us, and had us up and running in no time.

I would give Moby 10/5. Terrific service from my technician Darren who installed internet at my new apartment. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I would absolutely recommend Moby to friends and colleagues.

This company has been great to work with so far. The prices are very competitive and the speeds are fantastic!
If you run into any issues with your service, they are very quick to send out a technician to resolve.
For the Moby Management team; id like to give a special kudos to Darren. He's very knowledgeable and was eager to go above and beyond for us and we really appreciate it!

I can not reccomend Moby more, they are stellar. They have great customer service, and when there is a problem, Ive never waited more than half an hour for a tech to show up and fix it immediatly. Shout out to Tanis, the tech who has been helping us, she is the bomb, super professional and unbelievably friendly, always fixing the problems as fast as possible and always going above and beyond (even when she doesnt have to) to make sure we are getting the best service and the fastest internet, she is the absolute best. No Contracts, Fast internet, great techs, Moby is 10/10!

Firstly, great value. Their prices are unmatched by the big internet providers. I have yet to see a company that offer equal internet speeds at this price point. Next up, great speed. I have the 300mbps fiber internet and I get well over 350mbps when testing as well as a good constant 55ms ping when gaming on an American server (usually around 70ms when I was with Shaw). Finally, they have great service. I was served by a few people for my set up and I want to thank Tanis and Darren especially for taking their time out to ensure that I get my internet service set up as soon as possible. I had my appointment originally on a Monday but my apartment’s management was gone for no reason and yet they waited for hours before rescheduling it to the next day. Thankfully, the useless management in my building was in that day so the technician Darren could get the keys to set up the cables on the rooftop. He got everything set up quickly and efficiently, and helped me to extend my coax cable in the living room to the exact length I wanted. Overall, I had a great time with them over Shaw and Telus who offered terrible prices and had agents that constantly call to get me to renew my internet at over $100 which was just plain ridiculous.

I was with Moby for 3 years and received great service at prices that crushed the competition. When an issue arose, I was able to get a technician in to diagnose and repair within the hour. I only ended my service because I had to move, and now I get to go back to being gouged by Telus.best of luck to this firm

So I have been with Moby a couple of Months and they are quite professional and also helped me when I had a meeting and the internet went off, they came out of their way to get me a Hotspot so I could attend my meeting. This was really great customer service and the best provider I have been with so far.

I don't think I can praise this company enough. I've been a customer with Moby for about a year now. In my whole 30 years of being alive I've never had the quality of both the internet and customer side. Setting up took no time at all, and when we had to move units, they went above and beyond to make sure we stayed connected and personally ensured that we would be taken care of.

We switched to Moby a couple of months ago and are VERY happy we did so. The Internet is fast and reliable and the TV service is excellent. Installation was easy and customer/tech support people were fabulous and super helpful. The pricing is excellent and beats all the others hands down. I would highly recommend Moby.
