Server ah-mazing! Delightful, prompt, checked in the right amount of times! Cute establishment with an open concept. Love that their is local art on the walls for sale, nice touch!

Food - yuummm! My son had the reverse French toast and was blown away of how chocolate pairs so well with French toast!

I had the pierogis.that was good!

I will definitely be going back! I do recommend making a reservation as they are busy.

The food here was excellent, which is the important part. The coffee wasn’t half bad.

The vibe was cool, really liked the plants. Unfortunately, since it’s such a busy spot, we felt rushed and like our server didn’t necessarily want us there.

Patrick was amazing and the food was delicious. Patrick was super attentive and on top of the table the whole time. Can't wait to come back.

Breakfast was amazing and the space is perfect! I got the avocado toast and it was so good. Crispy, thick bacon, smashed avocados, delicious home fries. (I did get my eggs scrambled due to personal preference which they were happy to accomodate)

Our first time checking out Monki. Amazing food, the seasonal special Sisig was incredible. Our server Danae was great. We will be back.

I work on the road and eat in a variety of North American restaurants. Being home for some time off I decided to visit a place in my old neighborhood. It has changed hands since the last time I was there and was very impressed with my experience.
Matt was my waiter and he was very attentive to my requests and knowledgeable about the menu.
I had a bacon bene and it was delicious.
Highly recommend this place.

So extremely excited to have found Monki! The food is exceptional and very fun. Additionally, the staff are so damn friendly. Can't wait to try other items on the menu!

Not bad. Nothing particularly special here. French toast was good but didn’t love the entrees we got.

Delicious breakfast and a fair price! James was absolutely wonderful and made me a special latte. They unfortunately do not have an espresso machine or decaf coffee, but the food is incredible. And generous portions too!

Monki use to be to amazing the food and the service, in the last year they have really fallen off. The hollandaise sauce was runny, my food was luke warm, they forgot our drinks and brought a table that came after us. Wont be going back for a while.

Great service and amazing brunch. We had the brisket been, vegan huevos rancheros and chorizo poutine all the excellent. The reason we came was for the hot chocolate festival and the cinnamon toast hot chocolate was fantastic.

Great place! Love the decor. Menu is small but has options for everyone! Food tastes amazing!
Busy place on the weekends. Definitely join the waitlist ASAP.

I loved my New Year's French Toast. Cody and the other nice lady serving us did a wonderful job.

This is a wonderful little place to grab breakfast.:) I loved the option to get a waffle with my Salmon Bene instead of an English muffin. My only feedback is I wish the coffee was a bit better and the waffle was slightly dry. But overall I really liked it. Food tasted great!

We really enjoyed our brunch here! Our server James was super friendly and helpful. We had the brisket bene, huevos rancheros and even shared a berry french toast - all of it was delicious! Next time we are in Calgary we will be sure to come back.

Monki is a longtime fave. This time we popped by for their YYC Hot Chocolate fest drink to go. Service was prompt and they even provided a wet wipe to go along with the colossal hot chocolate! Highly recommend going for dine-in or grabbing a drink to go!

Such a great experience everytime I come here! Welcoming atmosphere and love there drinks. They always accommodate to my vegetarian diet and have lots of options:)

Monki is a hidden gem in Calgary. My meal was well seasoned and tasted fresh. James was a personable and friendly staff. I will definitely be returning to Monki.:)

I want to say that our server, Cody, was amazing! He deserves 5 stars all day long. The food was pretty great, coffee was all right, and I generally enjoyed the ambiance.

So why 4 stars? The building is really not accessible. I say that as a new mother with a stroller who had to traverse across a gap in the concrete to get to the door and had to pull a wheelie to get into the building. If I were in a wheelchair, this would not have been possible. I also had a bit of a hard time with where I could put my stroller because the tables are quite close together.

That said, no one complained about the stroller and I was able to (semi) comfortably breastfeed my 2 month old at our table.

The food is amazing, and pricing is fair compared to other breakfast places. I feel you get more bang for your buck here compared to paying the same at Dennys or Ricky's.
I had the Brisket Poutine, no extras. It was super tasty, with a soft poached egg. Plenty of sauce and the brisket was delicious.

Now, the service was not good. We found the server to be incredibly slow, and not attentive. We sat for nearly 15 minutes with our dishes off to the side with empty glasses and had to flag someone down.

The wait list didn't seem to matter. We added to the wait list when we started our 30km drive to the restaurant arrived and were told about 45 mins which was fine. They never text us to let us know tables were open. We went back in when we saw 3 tables open and the guy gave attitude saying "I guess we can sneak you in".

If the service was better, and the wait list wasn't such a joke this place would earn a 5* no problems though.

Food tasted amazing and came very quickly. Customer service was great and they were very friendly as well as the seating was beautiful. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Had James has a server and he was great, loved his demon slayer shirt too. The food is great as always we always get a chorizo and I get the waffles, so much food for a great price. Very friendly and good vibes ️

First time here and it was fantastic! Got the brisket poutine and it was incredible. Brisket was perfectly cooked, potatoes were crisp and fluffy and the hollandaise added the perfect creaminess. Our server James was fantastic aswell! Cool vibes at this spot

Nice decorations and vibe in here. Bigger than the other location and the food is tasty. I like that their menu is different to a regular brunch place

Came in this morning for some breakfast, the reverse French toast and the morning after breakfast hit the spot. Good selection of hot sauces, and the coffee was great.

Can’t wait to visit again!

I always wanted to try this brunch, I was always told such good things about it! It met my expectations! The food is super super cool, just look at the pictures! We tried the reversed toast I think it was called and the salmon bene I believe. The staff was super friendly as well! Such a cool experience. Only down side is they don’t have much alcoholic beverages apart from beer and the mimosas. But overall, a very cool experience. Just be prepared to spend some money. It’s not the cheapest but definitely worth the money.

Service was friendly and attentive with lots of coffee. Street parking is available in front (after 9am) or on the side streets (north). Weekends can be a long wait but they do have a wait list option. Flavourful breakfast/brunch but if you have picky eaters I'd also suggest checking the menu first as they have a curated menu that doesn't offer all of the usual breakfast options.

Lovely staff and great food. The dining is a small area, so it's best to come early in the morning or later for brunch. Lots of great good and beverage items. Great space for 2 people to enjoy a meal.

Fantasic food, great chill atmosphere. A bit pricey for the portion sizes, with most meals coming in between $17 and $20 before even ordering a drink.

Try the pink Prosecco hollandaise. Tastes nothing like hollandaise, but really good for a slightly sweet sauce.

Loved the burger I had here. I'm definitely coming back. The only thing I can complain about for my experience is that the ketchup bottle was so tiny I ran out immediately.

I was quite disappointed. I had a plant based meal here and it was bland/tasteless. The sauce seemed to taste simply like balsamic vinegar and the meal consisted of undercooked brown rice with spinach, pumpkin seeds and chickpea with 5 small pieces of sweet potato for $18.90! I could have made this at home and had it taste better.
My boyfriend and sister's meals were both great, but the plant based selection at this restaurant was quite underwhelming.

For a place that positions itself as upscale, it lacks in customer service. Waiter seemed miffed at having to interact positively with customers and we seemed like an inconvenience! Food was average. Potatoes were nearly burnt and lacked taste. Nice couches but have equally as comfortable chairs on the other side so both guests can be comfortable. Was looking forward for the upscale price to match the service. Too bad as this cute place could have potential!

Fantastic brunch. Just make sure to make reservations as they are very coveted. Its kids friendly and street parking is ample but still difficult.

Fantastic local brunch spot with a very creative menu. The beetroot hollandaise on the eggs benny is one of the best I've ever tasted. Their hashbrowns have this sweet sugary seasoning which creates a very wonderful unique taste. Make sure to finish your brunch with a fondue platter! A chocolatier's dream!

Not a great experience. The food was mediocre at best.

We waited 45 minutes for our food without so much as an acknowledgement from the waitress about the delay. She never came by our table once we had our food. My friend had to take condiments from other tables and our water glasses were empty. I asked the hostess for our bills and when our waitress finally came over with the bills, I asked her if I could have my food packed up. She came back and placed an empty box in front of me as I was holding my infant. Thankfully another patron packaged up my food for me. We're definitely not going back!

Best breakfast I ever had. If you need a place to pick for your sunday brunch shenanigans, this is the one. Great food in a super chill environment with monkeys hanging all over the place. The breakfast pancake tacos are to die for.

They are just opening so giving them a break. The service was very friendly, but a bit spotty. Waffle came cold without butter and syrup, had to ask twice for a refill on coffee. Food tasted alright. Again, I am assuming they’ve just opened and working out some kinks - will try again and update once I have.

I was looking forward to trying Monki due to the good reviews and IG page. My experience was terrible. First we waited almost 10 mins to even get a menu. Then waited another almost 10 to order. They got my order wrong (regular burger instead of pulled beef) so i had to wait for my main. The rosti potato was the only tasty thing we had. The brisket hash had a mix of potato/yam and the cinnamon flavor was strange. The egg was overcooked and portions tiny. Very little meat and overpriced. The pulled beef burger was mediocre at best. I chose it because of the truffle ricotta which i didn't taste and think was missing in hindsight. We repeatedly had to ask for water and coffee refills. Overall bad experience with food and service.

Went to the new Monki Inglewood for brunch and it was incredible! The menu is unique and yet approachable. I tried the Monki Huevos Rancheros and it was insanely delicious!
The ambiance and overall setting of the restaurant is also very impressive - Great place for a date & located in one of the most lively streets in town. Certainly will be going back here:)

Long wait for a seat is normal but a long wait for service, food and the bill isn’t. Also they don’t have a liquor license so it’s a waste of time.

Being huge fan of their other location, we were excited to try this one!
After arriving to an almost empty restaurant, only 2 other tables were taken (pretty odd for a Sunday morning), staff gave us a table but never offered a high chair but obviously needed one as I had a 10 month old in my arms.had to ask for it, twice! Got time to order food, half of their menu wasn’t available, wasn’t even able to order a latte! Then we realized they were refusing every clients that were coming in after us. Server didn’t said a word, she simply said sorry for not having the food we wanted. I found a hair that was obviously not mine half way through my potatoes but I didn’t informed the server. We ask for the bill but couldn’t get a copy as it was not possible to have it printed. We could definitely tell something was wrong on their end but again, none of the staff members said anything. When we got out, we saw a note on the door saying that they were closed for the day due to technical difficulties. Why they let us in but no one after us? No idea but we would have appreciated the staff informing us before ordering and paying 70$ for a mediocre service/food.
Will never go back!

The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. It's a cozy little place, the only issue was the monki hashbrowns were HEAVILY seasoned, and I left half of them in the poutine bowl. But the pink hollandaise is delicious and their peach iced tea was amazing!

I've the atmosphere of this place as everyone makes you feel welcome. The service is excellent and the food is very tasty despite the fact they screwed up the hard eggs for soft but they can promotely and pleasantly remedy the situation. Our waitress Eloise was very helpful and pleasant. I can't wait to return.

Slow and non attentive servers. Overpriced food with small portions. Food itself is nothing great. If you want good brunch in Calgary stick to Vero, OEB, or Broken Yolk.

Very long wait for the food but still worth it. The ambiance is very cool and the staff are friendly.

A bit of a disappointment. While the cost is comparable to other higher end brunch places the quality just doesn't match up. The salmon avocado toast had a thin spread of cream cheese on very thin toast. Part of an inconsistently sliced avocado haphazardly arranged on the salmon with half (!) of a grape tomato on each slice.
There was option to have salad or fruit as an accompaniment. One of us chose salad - and it looked and tasted awesome. I had fruit. One old strawberry, a slice of shriveled orange, and one slice of grapefruit that had obviously seen better days. Either it had been sliced off the day prior and left to wilt, or the grapefruit came rotten? I did ask the server about this - and he told me that he thought it looked fine. Ok then.
The brisket bene was delicious - however served on slices of what seems to be baguette or French loaf? Just not my fav. They do have an option for it to be served on a waffle. The potato rosti hashbrowns was a 10/10 for me.
I think their breakfast sweets are more their strong suit.
Oh also - love the decor. Looks a lot like Ten Foot Henry in there.

Beautiful space, bright and open. The location is great for street parking and also if you fancy a stroll through Inglewood after brunch.
The breakfast tacos are an absurdly good creation and the rosti waffle also!

Got recommended to this place by a colleague. The place is very lively and food is excellent. They have gluten free and vegan options as well.

We order the sampler to share (pink, mocha, earl grey dipping) no too bed except the strawberry r not so fresh. I alredy forget the name of my orde but i do like it very much. The hush is potatoes mix with yam and sprinkle cinnamon sugar.yummy

Awful experience. Waited over an hour for food to show up and it wasn’t even what we ordered because they “ran out”. No liquor license so sat there for over an hour with water. Will never be back.

Got a preview of the food, the potato roti are excellent (potatoes in waffle format are my new favourite thing) and the coffee is to die for.

An unbelievable waste of time and money. After waiting 30minutes for a table, as is expected, we were sat and told we could only have coffee or water since they didn’t have a liquor license? Decided to look past it and ordered our food only to wait 40 minutes for it to arrive. Staff either didn’t notice or didn’t care that we waited so long. Food was below average. Since we waited so long, decided to leave quickly after getting the food even though we barely ate. Not once did anyone acknowledge our experience. Go to any of the far superior and CHEAPER brunch places in town. Will never recommend
