Had a great time in Monod, First went downstairs and had Jacob teach me everything I needed to know about buying new skis. Myself coming from Ontario, I learned a lot of info on skiing the big mountains. Wonderful person. I then went upstairs to look at random stuff and the worker running the climbing area was amazing as well. Taught me so much about climbing (even though I would never see myself ice pick climbing) but by the time I left I thought I was ready for my first trip onto the ice wall. Will diffidently be back to buy some skis this coming weeks.

I make an order online because I was in the hospital without warm blankets, no shoes, no sandals, no socks and I was cold? , my order was big, I know they don't have delivery to hospital but I was going to orderthe delivery to a friend's house. I got the email saying that my order was received it at 5: 54pm. The schedule store is 10-8pm, the online team left alreadyat that time. I talked to staff member about my order but she ignored me. (like always.) Looks Like they don't want to sell. I am in Calgary area, I could order from MeC and have my order with no problem in 2 hours. I like to support locals, family and small businesses, But I guess they are fine. They just waste my valuable and precious time If you are in Banff Better go to another store Atmosphere or Patagonia could be a good option for you, you might receive better service from them. Visiting town for a few days and I stopped here every day for 3 days straight to have something done to my boots. They helped make sure my ski trip would be comfy in my new boots.

Fred helped me get fitted with the perfect pair of ski boots. He devoted over half an hour to making sure I found the right boot, and was open and honest about the ups and downs of each boot. He made efforts to keep the boot within my price range without sacrificing on the quality i needed and was very knowledgeable about everything. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

Quite possibly Canada’s best sports shop, especially the ski shop. Ron, PJ and Darren are some of the most knowledgeable, honest and informed ski people in the industry.

I came to Monod to buy snow boots few weeks ago because it looked like a very nice store to go shopping and I must say I had a great experience. I am a picky shopper and the staff member, a French guy was very helpful and friendly.
He didn’t rush me, he showed me different options corresponding to my needs and request.

Was originally planning in going to Atmosphere for some last minute outdoor gear, ended up stopping at Monod on the way and buying everything I needed AND MORE: employees (specially Fred) were awesome, good discounts and general prices! Did I mention that Fred was awesome?

I purchased the hydra pack bite valve, it will not work with Platypus product as recommended to me by you. Unfortunately the cover doesn't fit and I'm afraid to rip out valve as it seems like it will definitely break. Platypus says I could try freezing it, however with hikes in mind I don't want to risk breaking my only one, rendering it useless for when I will be needing it. I'd like to refund this product so I may simply purchase what will work off the Platypus website. Unfortunately, you're not answering calls to your store either.

Quite a good shop overall, staff are helpful and quite knowledgeable. I am disappointed they no longer retail any fishing gear. It was handy for the occasional small thing without having to drive to Calgary.

My wife and I are going on a trip to Assiniboine park and we needed a hiking map for the area. We live on Vancouver Island and Monod was the only store where I could order this map and get it in time for the trip and with free shipping, too. The other stores were going to take a couple of weeks to get it to us. I ordered two maps and had one sent to my brother in Vancouver. They both arrived quickly and with a nice personal note included. Very impressive service!

A breath of fresh air, these guys and gals are awesome! I bought a pair of trekking pants online, had them shipped in a couple days - free shipping. They were a bit too big, so I called to ask how the next size lower may fit as the online reviews I had read said they would be too small. Knowledgeable staff set me in the right direction - I should have called first. They sent me a shipping label to ship the return for free, which I did right away. A few days later I had the pair that fit - again, shipped for free. Monod went all out to treat me like a valued customer, and now they have my business for life!

EXCELLENT customer service! From start to finish my online order experience was outstanding. I ordered a Patagonia jacket, which unfortunately was too big, so had to be returned. However, Karen T handled the entire process quickly and professionally, sending the jacket four provinces away in a speedy manner. My last pair of approach shoes accompanied me on over 300km of trails. Imagine my despair when they finally bit it! Monod's to the rescue! Even during Covid-19 nonsense! I ordered my fave approach shoes online, paid for them, and they were hand delivered 3 days later! With a smile and the love that only local Bow Valley businesses can deliver. Now I'm hiking the trails around my home in comfort and with a new spring in my step. The online ordering system was easy, customer service for delivery was personal and kind. Honestly, it made me feel luck to live in the Bow Valley because our local businesses are just plain rad. Spend your money here. Monod's is awesome.

I wanted to order a Leatherman but couldn't find a local store that was open (I don't use Amazon). Found Monod Sports, delivered just as fast if not faster than Amazon and very competitively priced.

I picked up an Icebreaker top and Arcteryx jacket from Monod and am very pleased with both. My daughter lives in Banff and when I needed to get some new bindings mounted on new skis December 23, she said take them to Monod's. Brody and the Techs there made it priority and in a few hours I was all set to ski on my new gear with my daughter Dec 24. Service was so great, they even heat fitted my son's boots while we waited. They were hopping busy with Christmas shoppers, but we never felt like we were an inconvenience or a bother. Exceptional service, wonderful crew and cool vibe.

Needed a new battery for one of my heating socks. Matt was the best with helping me! I was speechless with his solution.

What a great experience shopping at Monod Sports. I was searching for a pair of boots but I couldn't locate my size anywhere on the web. Came across Monod Sports. Not only did they have my size, but they were significantly cheaper than the few other retailers that sold them. When I first tried ordering them, I ran into an issue with stock information on their website, contacted the store and they sorted out the issue in about 10 minutes.
Not only did my boots arrive, they arrived sooner than expected. I was pleasantly surprised to find a note in the box that was hand written and signed by Nick and Peter Monod (owners) thanking me for my business. Great added touch.

After calling them and leaving my number, impossible to keep in touch with their staff. Trying to buy a product online with my reward points and the system does not allow to pay with that option. So the reward points you earn with previous purchases are USELESS. I will choose another store to get my equipment.
