I was at west end moores with my girlfriend. Customer service was very good at first as I was asked if I needed any help with looking around. I said not at the moment as I was only looking and trying clothes on. I specifically stated I was just trying stuff on and looking around for outfits for graduation. My girlfriend was grabbing clothes for me and wanted me to try them on. A different employee came around and said in a very demeaning way “do you even know what you are doing? ”I heard this while I was in the change room. As I got out he talked to me in a very different tone. He tried telling me stuff about shirt size and mansplaining it to my girlfriend and I. He talked to other customers in a very friendly tone. He eventually started saying that he needed the shirts from the fitting room to fold them because they were closing soon and was rushing me. I gave the shirts back and he said you’re not going to buy them? In a very disrespectful way, he yelled as we left “they aren’t even buying them”. I asked about the trying on policy before even starting to be respectful. If you want to be miserable that’s fine, but don’t take it out on customers
I was very skeptical about renting suites because I had heard so many horror stores but Moore’s proved me wrong. Emily helped us with all of the details at the beginning of the process and she was amazing, would highly recommend requesting her for your appointment if possible. There were a few communication lapses in regards to what we had wanted included in the rental order but nothing too major and everything was rectified relatively timely and easily. All of the suits came in a few days earlier than expected and fit well aside from one pair of pants that were way too short but they fixed them in store. My husband ordered a custom suit and it turned out amazing. We were able to include a few sentimental details such as our last name and wedding date, which was awesome.
I am the kind of person that hates shopping for clothes, but what an amazing experience in Moores. The friendly and knowledgeable service of Francis is fantastic. If you hate shopping clothes and want a smooth experience please come to this store. Good selection of men clothing and good prices for every budget.
Sales person was kind of rude. Gentlemen is stucked at the price tags and he was on a mood like if you dont have a budget, dont look at it or make me busy. Very old fashinon colors on the store
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and I really felt comfortable in a clothing store that I normally don’t visit If you need to get yourself some formalwear, please consider this location Special shout out to Francis
Not particularly happy with what I recieved vs the cost. If it was $100 cheaper it would have been fine. Pants were baggy, came back way to short and we had to send them back, jacket was a little baggy. Both came with white marks/stains on them that I had to try and wipe off. The staff I worked with were attentive and polite, no problem there. And were very helpfull when I needed to switch colors when I found out my event was black tie. All in all, why wouldn't I just buy a tux. If I wore the rental two or three times, that would cover the cost of just buying my own depending on the quality. That's ridiculous. Finally the prices of specific items were seemingly deliberately ambiguous.
I visited the west-end location today to buy a suit appropriate for formal occasions. The last time I shopped for such things was when I was young, thin and newlywed. Eric was attentive and selected a well-fitting suit, shirt, and belt combo that looks sharp. They were even able to hem the pants at a moment's notice. I was in and out in about an hour. Thank you Eric, and to the tailor.
The staff that attended to me was very professional and pleasant. With the information provided, I was able to get shirts that fit perfectly and at an amazing price.
I was in a wedding party and we rented suits and the experience was terrible. Suits came in with missing buttons and they got the wedding date wrong. Thank goodness the groom called to check on everything because we wouldn't have gotten our suits in time. They then had to rush order everything giving us limited time to ensure it all fit.
While putting on the suit the day of. The dress shirt was 3 sizes too small. Apparently that's what they had on file but not even close to the size I had on during our fitting. As a result, we had to find a last minute shirt.
When I told Moore's about it today they offered ZERO discount on the rental as a result of their negligence.
Update - Moore's corporate offices have rectified the situation. Thank you to them for making things right.
Good, friendly service to start. I thought a month ahead of when I needed a suit would be plenty of time. Boy was I wrong. As soon as they had my money, they disappeared. My pants were in stock, the jacket had to be brought in from another location. Two weeks passed - nothing. Call to follow up - no one has any idea what I ordered. "The Manager will follow up with you". Two days pass - nothing. I go in person and find my sales person. She tells me they have my jacket from a different city but hadn't had time to call. Uh huh. It will be at the store in a week. I'm convinced they completely forgot to order the jacket in the first place. A week later - silence. I call - they seem to know who I am. However, they have no idea where the jacket is. A couple hours later, they found it sitting in the back.
Another couple hours later, I get another call from a different person asking if I could give my jacket to someone else who needed my size for the following day (I can only presume they forgot to order his too) and my jacket was in a different city and could be flown in for "an exorbitant amount of money from FedEx" (and this is my concern how?) in two days. I agree as that other person was probably as frustrated as I was.
My jacket actually did come two days later (with 4 days to spare before I needed it). I go to pick it up. Another lady fetches it for me. I try it on. She is much more interested in checking messages on her phone than actually checking my suit. She does a very lackadaisical once over, says it's fine, and goes back to her phone.
The final laughable straw - Moore's can't even provide a suit cover because they didn't have any. So I get my suit in a fashionable red tuxedo rental return cover (it's tacky - trust me).
This whole experience would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic. The response to this will probably be "We hope you come back" - not a chance. And you shouldn't either.
If I could give this location a 0 for reviews, i would. Very poor customer service. I know they were busy when we book appointment with them. We were patiently waiting for 30 mins. Or more. Until we realized nobody really bothered to check on us. Nobody is assuring us that somebody will be with us to help. Made us feel invisible, and as I (the groom’s sister was going through some of there stuff) a lady came up to me and rudely told me not to go through any of their suits. When customer service is like this, it seems to us that we don’t look important enough to be assisted. It broke my heart because it’s supposed to be a wonderful experience as part of their wedding journey but they totally ruined it.
The guy working there couldn't have been less interested in his job or helping me find a suit. Told me to try tip top tailor. I will. And won't be back.
HORRIBLE customer service. Worst experience ever! The lady who was helping Us had a HORRIBLE attitude terrible customer service! At the end she clearly show that she was only focused on her comission or whatever else but client. BAD BAD
Great service. Friendly knew what they were doing and if they had a question an associate was quick to help them. And there whole process from the guys view went fairly quick. I do have one piece of advise as they do suit rentals for grads and weddings please get a bench for mom or wife. Some Moore's have them and it's amazing especially for wives when picking wedding things because you know we can't send a man alone to do that. It felt quite long just standing waiting for the two guys to pick stuff and get measured.
In the future I would shop elsewhere for suits. The salesman assisting me got the suit size wrong (fortunately I know a bit about suits so was able to steer him in the right direction) and kept abandoning me to help other customers - it took a couple hours just to find a couple suits because I spent so long waiting on him. I also realized after receiving the suits back from tailoring that the sleeves are too long (wish I would have noticed before sending it for tailoring). When I initially bought the suits (and sent it for tailoring) I asked that the suits be provided with canvas bags because I lived on a gravel road and I needed to store suits in their bags to keep them clean - suits can't be stored long term in the plastic bags regularly provided with suits. The salesman said he would speak to a manager to see if that is possible. When I returned to pick up the suits, there was no indication that this message was passed on. The employee helping me to pick-up the suits refused to provide me with the bags or contact a manager. I was told that no store would ever provide non-plastic bags with suits - Eddie's Men's Wear provided me with a cloth suit bag when I shopped there and The Bay provided me with 2 cloth bags for 1 suit when I shopped there. The employee I picked up my suits from also said that I should have received 2 for the price of 1 instead of buy 1 get 1 half off - when I explained this hadn't happened, he refused to refund me.
Paid $800 for 2 sports coats. One is Moore's brand and the elbows started fading/wearing after 6 months. Went into the store to show them and they were like "if you work at a desk you should take your jacket off" and said there's nothing they can do. All I can say is "I'll never shop at Moore’s again". Moore's is definitely overpriced for the quality they sell.
Rented a suit for a wedding, that was being held on the other side of the country. Staff was super helpful, efficient and was able to answer all my questions on the spot.
