Moose Hotel & Suites

My favorite hotel in Banff. Warm pools on the roof are awesome. Rooms are new and spacious. Been here twice already.
A bit on the pricier end.

Moose Hotel & Suites is an excellent hotel in Banff. Sitting in the heart of Banff Town, the location of the hotel is extremely convenient. You can pretty much walk to anywhere in Banff Town from this hotel. The rooms were excellent, clean, and comfortable. As with any hotel in Banff, the views are excellent, with mountains everywhere around the hotel. Check in is at 4PM and Check Out is at 11 AM at the time of writing this review. Definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for accommodation in Banff Town.

My wife and I snuck away this year for a little R&R, she chose the Moose Hotel on a whim. Well, we ABSOLUTELY enjoyed our stay. King suite with a mountain view and fireplace, we will definetely return.

We were happily surprised with a room upgrade with a truly amazing view on the main street of Banff.

The hotel is centrally located in town where everything was within walking distance.

Super friendly staff with great service. The king room was spacious and well stock with essential amenities. Also love the free underground parking.

We stayed four nights at the Moose and to be completely honest I was very disappointed.

Rooms -
We had a one bedroom king suite, chosen specifically for some division of space for my husband and I and our two small children. It’s easier to put them to bed in a bedroom and watch TV in the living room. The layout of the space made this possible but the beds were absolutely horrid to sleep on. For a winter stay they provided a thin comforter for the king bed. The pull out couch was even worse, not to mention was not ready made. My husband and I had to make the bed the first night to which old chips were found when we pulled the cushions off.

Room service -
Any request we made for extra towels was prompt, however room cleaning was spotty. We had the room cleaned a number of times. The second time being excellent but the last occurrence was horrible. They didn’t sweep the floors or vacuum, the pull out couch bed was left unmade, the kitchen sink area left a mess, the table was not wiped and a few of the used towels were not taken away and replaced.

Pool -
Towels were left in the indoor pool area on the floor. In exiting the indoor pool area to get to the outdoor hot tubs someone had clearly cut their foot and left blood marks everywhere, and a bandaid which was super gross to find.

Eating -
We ate at the restaurant downstairs once for dinner, once for lunch and once for breakfast. Our dinner service was not good at all. The pizza was not good, the pasta we order for the girls was clearly microwaved and the server took 30 minutes to get us our drinks. Lunch was way worse, I ordered a soup of the day which came to the table stone cold. Again, the pasta I requested for the kids was clearly microwaved (how hard is it to make pasta with tomato sauce). Breakfast the service was much better but the food again was by no means worth what we paid.

Overall, for paying over $500 a night this stay was anything but what we had hoped for. Especially considering we arrived a week border Christmas and the hotel and town of Banff was relatively dead. I won’t be staying here again.

Great location if you want to walk in downtown Banff. Beautiful lobby area. Love the hot tub/pool on the roof. I only have a couple of suggestions/conplaints. We stayed in the two bedroom suite. Because you access some of the rooms from the outside, they need bigger mats at the door. We walked in and our boots were wet from the snow, and we couldn’t get our boots to fit on the small mat, leaving the floor wet. Also, there is a table and chairs in the room, and the few times we have stayed in this room type, there have always been marks/stains on the chairs. We didn’t even want to sit on a few of them. Perhaps leather would be a better idea so they can be wiped clean. Overall, a good hotel, but for sure fixing a few small details would help to make it great.

I came here for a work function and we had a great time. The rooms were clean and decent but you have to walk outside to get to many of the rooms. The hotel features a spa, pool, outdoor hot tubs with amazing views, event rooms and an in hotel Italian restaurant called Pancini. Also, it is only a short walk to get to all the restaurants and shops. I would come here again!

The hotel was conveniently located, as any hotel would be in a downtown setting. The staff were very accommodating and polite, and the rooms were beautiful and tidy, and the beds were very comfortable. I would highly recommend anyone looking to have a vacation in Banff to book at this hotel, there is also underground parking, which is a bonus so you dony have to worry about going to a cold car in the morning during the winter. The main lobby area has a fireplace and is extremely cozy if you're waiting to check in, or if you just want to relax and socialize before heading to your room.

This is a great hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and modern. It’s located in a great area, a very short walk from the restaurants and shops downtown.

My recent stay at Moose Hotel and Suites in Banff was nothing short of delightful. Stepping into the lobby, I was greeted by a crackling fire and charming seasonal decorations that instantly set a cozy tone. The room itself was so comfy and immaculate and the decor was warm and inviting. I had an amazing night's sleep! The staff members were exceptionally friendly and helpful. With the hotel's convenient location, we explored the town on foot. I highly recommend this hotel for their next stay in Banff!

Nice enough aesthetically and cleanliness was decent. Front desk staff that I talked with were generally not helpful or friendly. No access to the gym before 06: 30; most people I know (myself included) want to workout before that time. Also, no access to complimentary coffee for patrons unless it is from your room which I thought was strange.

The Moose Hotel in Banff is probably one of the best addresses, if you’re looking for a cosy place in the heart of the mountains. The atmosphere is very comforting, it started with a warm and hearty welcome, friendly service all over, nice rooms - and the best of all: The hot tubs on the rooftop! You’re sitting inside warm/hot, bubbling water with a superb view on the Rocky Mountains - how fantastic is that? !?

2nd stay here, prices generally on the higher end but location is very convenient, just 5 mins stroll to the supermarket and restaurants.

Parking is free and has charging stations for TSLAs. Though some guests do need lessons on parking properly.

The bed was very comfortable! One of the best nights' sleep I've had at a hotel. Service was friendly. Our favorite parts were sitting in the hot tub/sauna and out on the balcony while enjoying the moutain views.

Beautiful rooms & hot tub pools on top floor are great. Plenty of free garage parking. Good vibes here.

We went to have a spa day with massage, pool, lunch, and manicure. We did not stay in the hotel over night. The service was polite and caring. The meal was filling and a good portion. My only qualm was how much everything was for a bill (First time doing something like this so I did not expect it). I would not go back for the spa day as it was to much money for me but I would go back if money was not a concern
