Motel 6 Red Deer, AB

Beds are rock hard. Pillows soft. Heat didn’t work. Sheets had stains on them. Don’t think their vacuum works. Phone missing most of its buttons. Staff were friendly. Location is great. Price reflects quality. So it’s up to you on if you care about that stuff. I don’t think k I would stay here again.

The rooms were dirty, I pretty much had to beg for new bedding and there was a full on party in the front parking lot and the staff didn't even care to shut it down. Oh and very poor front desk service.

1. Can use WIFI but disconnect every 5 minutes.
2. The refrigerator is in the room but does not work.
3. Smelly pillows and covers make me allergic reactions.

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. I’ve never personally slept here but I worked here for 3 days and it was completely disgusting and so disorganized and unsanitary. First of all the beds you sleep in are not clean their sheets stink and have stains all over them. They don’t change the top blanket to your beds there either. The last day I worked there before I quit 3 girls were bit by bed bugs and the boss of motel 6 wants to say they don’t have bed bugs. The owner also doesn’t like to pay her employees you have to bomb her phone and threaten labour board just to get the money you are owed. Don’t stay here and don’t work here if you want pride in your job.

I didn't even stay at this place. I tried to book twice but received no confirmation. When I called the lady said that she thought I received a confirmation from the manager, but I didn't. It was so painful that I canceled the whole thing. I couldn't imagine what the stay would be like when the booking was so painful.

I've never stayed here before, but I do not recommend. Find somewhere else. The room was not very clean. Lots old chips/scrapes on the walls. Holes in the curtain. Carpet is stained. Room was not made up nor were clean towels replaced during our 2 night stay. The free breakfast is very poor. Ended up going elsewhere to have breakfast. Early morning the smoke alarm was activated by someone who burnt toast in the lobby breakfast area, the alarms in the rooms were loud, piercing sounds which woke up all hotel guests. Bathroom door did not lock. Air vent made rattling sounds entire time. The air vent in the bathroom needs to be cleaned. Entire room needs major cleaning.

The price on the apps is not the price you pay, the outlet don't
work, the tub won't drain

Pretty much always stay here when I'm working in Red Deer. Don't have super high expectations but for the price it's exactly what I need. A clean room, comfy bed and free wifi.

Elevator did not work (and hadn't worked for weeks.
Lights didn't work in one stairwell and the exterior light didn't work outside the other stairwell (did not feel safe)
Stained carpets in the room and hallway, stained sheets, stained bedspread.
Hair in the shower (not mine)
Air conditioner didn't work in room, moved to another, TV didn't work in that room.
Parking and landscaping area around building is disgusting, broken beer bottles, garbage, dead birds.
Went down for coffee in the continental breakfast area and found a sketchy street person helping themselves. (Again, did not feel safe)
No housekeeping (had to request towels from front desk)
Found old pizza pops in fridge

I usually stay at a Motel 6 when traveling. I found them to be responsibly priced, clean and comfortable. BUT NOT THIS ONE!

The Motel 6 in Red Deer is economical, but clean and nice. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. We would stay there again.

If I could give it a zero I would. It was so dirty, the staff was very lazy. I waited in line to check in while one person worked and another sat there and did not help. While it is cheap, you definitely get what you pay for.

Horrible attitude from front desk Staff ended up canceling the hotel the guy needs to take a customer service course cause what a waste of skin. But judging from the smell of the hotel when I walked in and the rest of the reviews I'm glad to go elsewhere. Don't even no how places like this dump is still in business

Me and my family stayed here for 1 night in Red Deer. Glad we were staying only 1 night! When walking down the hallway to our room, there was a really bad smell. Room was very small, especially for 3 adults. Room had a stain on the carpet. Pretty outdated. Front desk staff not very friendly. Would not stay here again, despite the low price.

The room was disgusting. Upon entering, the carpet was seriously stained and appeared to have had water damaged given that the carpet was rippled. The room smelled horrible. The toilet had a crack in the underpart of the bowl which was badly repaired with caulk. We pulled back the bed topper and immediately saw something on the pillow case which we thought was a bug but was told by the reception staff that it was a booger. A spider appeared from under the bedding. The sheets were clearly soiled. The front desk’s solution was to change the sheets. We should have been offered another room. Bed toppers should be laundered.
It was implied that the owner did not care about keeping the hotel in respectable condition and did not monitor housekeeping standards. It was the grossest experience ever. Outside of the exit door near our room the doorstep and parking area was covered in dog excrement. Some patrons had dogs.
Horrible experience that I would never want anyone to endure. We didn’t sleep at all, feeling so grossed out about bugs and filth.

Good location and price combo for my trip! The bathroom door in my room was damaged - completely functional but was surprised by it. Get to the continental breakfast early, it ran out of supplies! LOL

Found used underwear in the bed sheets.assuming room service didn’t change the sheets after the last client. Hoping to get a refund or something, no one’s answering the phone.

DO NOT STAY HERE! If I could give negative stars I would. This was literally the worst experience I have ever had. Let's get into it.

The tv doesn't work nor was there a remote
There was no fitted sheet on the bed
No pillow cases
Toilet constantly running
Bed coverings had blood stains

Terrible service from the staff at reception, the sheets were completely dirty with stains and hair all over the bed, the days I was there, none of them cleaned the room, not even the towels were changed, the bathroom door was broken and the air conditioning does not work at all.

When I checked into the room it was dirty, looked like some one eat in the bed before I checked in. When I requested for my room to be cleaned they never did it. Plus the bed and breakfast you only get cereal, bread and muffins.
