My mother has been using Motion's products and services for several years now. We are all appreciative of Gerry, Allan and Randy. However, today I'd like to take a moment to appreciate Randy, their lead technician. Randy leaves absolutely no stone unturned when it comes to addressing mom's service requests. Obviously, all of our service calls are because mom is dealing with some kind of a product issue or another, but whenever Randy gets dispatched he treats my mom's wheelchair/equipment issues with the utmost urgency and tries to get things resolved ASAP so that my mom doesn't suffer. His timeliness, responsible communication and dedicated support are highly appreciated by the family. We have great respect for Randy's work ethic and proficiency. Motion is lucky to have Randy represent their banner on a daily basis.

Megan and Emineh beyond the greatest Customer Service I’ve had for a long time and both of them worked hand-in-hand to provide me an electric wheelchair to try it out and helped with the financial issues. I will definitely recommend this company and these two individuals in the future need I need anything else. I called three companies in total and this is far most the best.

Motion provides great services. Randy is the best technician motions have. He was accompanied by Nilo today. He is also great. I have worked with Randy for more than 4 years and he has solution to everything. Very hard working and smart.

Although I'm not one to usually leave reviews, I feel compelled to share my experience with Motion as they are one of the most dependable vendors we've worked with. The Motion team facilitated a transfer of a vertical porch lift for my brother from our old residence to our new one, and the process was handled exceptionally well. Scott was so efficient and kind in helping us coordinate the transfer, while Allan did a phenomenal job of installing the lift in the garage- super clean look and ensured there's still ample space to park our vehicles! Overall, we were extremely pleased with the seemless service provided by Motion!

Been working with Motion for years and my experience has always been positive! The service coordinators are accommodating, friendly, and do a great job with staying on top of work orders. If there is an issue, they make sure to follow up and are able to smooth things over. The sales reps I've worked with have been wonderful as well; they have great product knowledge and are helpful in answering questions. Their technician, Randy, is amazing! He is friendly and super knowledgeable when it comes to equipment. There is nothing that he can't fix: P

Overall, I've had a great experience with Motion and would recommend it 10/10: D

Randy is so knowledgeable in his craft. He is so efficient that he can handle repairs really well. He is definitely an asset to the company. As of Kara, she is a wonderful lady, who explains well to the residents what is needed for them to have a comfortable position in the wheelchair. She has a very good insights or judgement for the betterment of the client.

This review is long overdue. My mother and sister traveled to Calgary from California last summer. We had previously arranged to rent a wheelchair from Motion, but their flight was delayed. I called the store and they were so helpful. Kenya stayed after hours so that my sister was able to pick up the wheelchair before the weekend. Not only that, but she was so pleasant about it. Such incredible service. And there is more! My mother and sister flew out of Canada on a holiday weekend, so Motion arranged for them to drop off the wheelchair at an employee‘s home since the store would be closed when they got back into Calgary. (sorry - can’t find the text - was it Kenya again?) I’m sorry to say that I don’t think I would find that kind of service where I live in California. It gave me the best impression of the people In Calgary. Thank you so very much!

I have known Motion Specialties company for many years. I have known Randy since I worked as TA at Agecare Skypointe LTC. Randy assembles seating and mobility equipment in a timely manner, makes necessary equipment modifications. He has a lot of experience repairing and replacing parts of wheelchair and power wheelchairs. Randy has excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with others and maintain professionalism at work. He always go above and beyond to help us out. He truly follows the mission and vision of Motion Company. He is a gem to keep for Motion Specialties. Keep up the good work Randy!

Randy did an excellent job! My husband's power wheelchair wasn't working & I called Motion Specialist right away & Randy came to the rescue & fixed it the following day. As a wheelchair user for over 25 years I have dealt with a number of Calgary mobility dealers. I am so glad Motion is here in our city to provide the equipment and most importantly the SERVICE a guy can depend on as a busy, working, professional with a physical disability who uses a power wheelchair to get around. I bought a new power wheelchair from Motion in the Fall of 2019 and while it took a bit to dial in the wheelchair to my unique needs, Motion's talented & caring service tech Randy has it set up perfectly for me now and I couldn't be happier with my new chair!

As much as I hate to pile on with the negative reviews, I wanted to share my experience. I needed assistance in preparing for an upcoming hip replacement. I had decided to rent a walker and was supplied a unit in desperate need of repair. The tires were badly cracked and I was told that replacements had been ordered and that I'd receive a call when they arrived and I could come back in to have them replaced. Given that I can't drive for 6 weeks, that's no help! I found staff to lack knowledge about medical aids and the receptionist was more interested in her personal call then acknowledging a customer's arrival so I waited longer than my patience would normally tolerate. Selection and prices for the items that I required was not competitive with what I found through Amazon. The exact same raised toilet seat was more than $20 different, and that includes home delivery. I don't mind paying more for knowledge and expertise, but there was none. Sadly, the raised toilet seat that I was sold has dented from my main toilet seat sitting on it. Had there been a choice of products, I would have bought something more robust - this was the only unit offered, but I've since learned that the manufacturer has a line of seats that range in performance. It would seem that the showroom is closed due to COVID, so perhaps there is greater selection under normal circumstances.

I have given a second star for the fact that they took the walker back the next day without question - I realized that I didn't feel safe learning how to walk again with a walker in that condition.

100%! I called 10min ahead to ask if they could fix a flat tire on my wheelchair but only got an answering machine. I dropped in shortly after and they were incredibly accommodating. I had to wait as there was a customer getting her chair fixed but I didn't mind spending an hour there compared to waiting days which was the expected repair time at another place. Randy was phenomenal and went above and beyond. I feel the staff are working extra hard to bring up their online ratings. I definitely don't mind helping them as they more than deserve it.

Their service department has had my sister’s wheelchair for over eight months. They did not contact us to let us know it was not going to be repaired or what our options are going forward. I’ve called more than once and left messages but they never call back. When I finally got through to someone, they had no excuse or reason for their lack of service. Find another vendor who will actually do the job.

Calgary Location: When medichair was purchased by Motion the customer service has gone down hill. It's all about the corporate dollar and nothing about customer service!
They have lost me as a customer for good!
