Wonderful campground in Kananaskis. Most sites are nicely treed. Washrooms facilities are clean and is nice to have a hot shower after a day of mountain exploring. The store has a good variety of amenities if you’ve forgot something. Nice to have coffee, snacks and treats too. The summer programming at the amphitheater is well done too. Nice playground and dog friendly. Definitely a favourite and close destination from Calgary for a little weekend getaway.
First time camper at Mnt Kidd RV park We’re really amazed by the size of the sites the privacy, how organized the campsite was laid out how easy it was to get to washroom, with hot water, and flush toilets. Feel that someone has put a lot of thought into how the campsite has been planned out and it shows Minimum stuff interaction, but all of them was super professional Expect in the summer the many playgrounds are well used The splash park looked interesting. At the time of our visit. It wasn’t completed. Enjoy the large common room. It was sunny with large windows on both sides with use of mountains.
We like easy, hikes, and easy biking trails Both were easily accessible An added bonus was that it was close to the Nordic spa. Which we spent a day at
This was a great campgrounds that offered all of the amenities you could possibly want. Sights are beautiful and the location was especially great to get to Canmore
Disappointed on our last trip. Sept 7-9, site A-25. The firepit grate was 3/4 missing. I talked to the staff at the office and was told they would get someone to come fix it. No one came. The service here really seems to be going down hill. Usually we love it here but this really annoyed me considering how much you pay for a spot. To have a non-functional firepit was not okay.
Update Sept 2023 A-25 now doesn't have a firepit grate and the firepit is decaying.
We had our first visit out to Mt. Kidd RV Park and it won’t be the last. We stayed for a week and I could have stayed 3 more. My children and I enjoyed everything this RV park had to offer. The showers were clean, the ice cream was delicious, and the staff was amazing. The have fire wood, propane, and any extras you may need or forgot. I hope the splash park will be open when we return next year as it was very hot and would have been nice to go for a dip with in the park instead of the icy cold river. Can not wait to return next year for a longer period.
So underated. Me and my family weren't able to get three nights in Banff so we did one night here. We highly regretted going to Banff afterwards, we all wish we would have stayed instead. This felt like a real campsite and less touristy. Very clean all around! I could go on for hours on how beautiful this area is. They have awesome trails and breathtaking views. Great place to be if you love the outdoors but don't want to go completely backcountry. I really hope I get to go back with my family. Ps I know this sounds to good to be true but it really was perfect
Excellent stay. This was a nice clean and friendly park. We will definitely be looking to book here again in the future, in fact, will be on our list of top places to book each year!
This is one of my favourite campgrounds in the world. The views are limitless, the hikes are amazing and the scenery is second to none. Can't wait to go back again!
We had a great experience at Mt. Kidd Campground. Ample space between sites allows for privacy in this well cared for campground. It is quiet and peaceful. The main office has a small store, concession for ice cream snacks, laundry mat, bathrooms and showers. All areas are clean. Many walking trails and activities available. Golf Club is just up the road with a lovely dining area with an amazing view! Campsites depending where you in the campground may include electricity, water and sewer hook ups
Best rv park in the mountains. This rv park has everything. You don't even have to go out of this rv park. Definitely will go back here again every year
Nice park but not enough bathrooms and very lax generator policy. If you don't mind listening to generators running all day and waiting in line to use the flush bathroom then this is the place for you. Edit. We brought our concerns to the staff and they moved us to a Deluxe site in a different section of the park. Very happy.
It's just an amazing spot. All levels of camping, whether it be tents, trailers, or RV's. We'll maintained, clean, and beautiful location. Bring bikes if possible. Recommend going to the creek.
We love coming here every year to camp. Beautiful scenery surrounded by mountains and great hikes. Friendly helpful staff. Great campground for the whole family.
Great campground, lots of site options! Visitor center is clean and pretty spectacular! Have to pay extra for showers and Wi-Fi, but worth it! The views, surrounding and location are just breathtaking!
Lots of other amenities, sports, hiking trails, green grass open areas, tennis courts etc, but the Park Interpretation Programs and Rangers also give phenomenal talks!
