Mount Norquay Lookout

With our limited time this was an amazing spot to look out all over Banff. The big horn sheep were a welcome addition.

Awesome view of Banff and the surrounding area! Easy access and well worth the couple minutes to drive up here.

Best look out to take a view of banff. Dont forget to take your binoculars with you here. It is one of a kind spots to visit near banff.
The drive to this scenic lookout is also fun.
No places to buy food though but its good

Lovely view of the whole valley from Mt. Norquay lookout. We randomly planned to go over to the Norquay ski area and to our surprise we found this lookout that we didn’t know in the first place is a lookout. We liked the spot, clicked couple of pictures but it was later on that we realized it was actually Norquay lookout. A fortunate stroke of serendipity.

Not enough words to describe the view. You don’t even need to head up to the resort for views, you have it all here. Not busy at all but the roads are very twisty and you need to drive slow. Still worth it to drive up the mountain here though!

So many big horn sheep are always hanging around up here! As long as you’re respectful to the wildlife, of course, it’s a great place to come up and view the town of Banff!

One of the best place to smoke up. The vibes are always chill up there and it makes for a nice walk once you park your car. It’s most definitely a must do whilst in Banff.

A short drive from Banff cross above the Interstate and within 10 minutes you are at a series of vantage points to take images of the mountains, town and the Vermilion Lakes parallel to the Interstate 93.

Wow, what a view of Banff from up here. I would recommend anyone how is visiting Banff to drive (approx. 5-10 mins).

Was there late April on an amazing sunny day. The road is one lane, uphill and was right off the Trans Canada Highway. Just follow the winding road up until you get to the top, it will be on your right. There wasn't really a designated parking area so just park in an area where you aren't blocking traffic. There was only two cars there so weren't busy at all. Plenty of room to take photos without someone being in your picture.

Do visit if you are visiting Banff!

Aside from the road having some sharp turns while going up or coming down from the mountain, the location is breathtaking. You get a full view of Banff and the wilderness around it. Definitely worth visiting.

Great lookout point, not too difficult a drive up. We saw some big horn sheep at the lookout. Good view of the city centre too

Away from the crowded town, you can see the town of Banff.better bring your blanket and some snacks if you want to wait for sunset!

This lookout might be a part of your sunset package being in Banff or just driving through National Park during evening hours. Combined with Vermillion Lakes road it will give you plenty of memorable scenery

Not that a famous place and I am surpirsed. This place has got some amazing views once you go up the mountain in the cable car. Make sure you find some coupons which might be available at the hotel you see to get some discounted tickets.

Great viewpoint, overlooks the entirety of Banff. We enjoyed sitting on the fence and just taking in the beautiful scenery

If you are out in Banff Alberta and it's a nice day go and check this out! The view is great and if your a photographer don't forget a camera Gorgeous view of Banff and the surrounding mountains.

Very beautiful look out over Banff! Easy drive up the switch back roadway. Worth the quick trip. There are also trail heads nearby for longer hikes.
