Moyo Spa and Wellness

Extremely disappointed, I went in to get a Shellac manicure and pedicure. They charge $15 extra per service for shellac. Fine, fairly standard, most places charge extra.

My Shellac started chipping and peeling the very next day. I have had to super glue the peeling shellac polish down on two different nails. It's hopeless though, most of my nails are peeling and chipping off and it's been 9 days. I couldn't even get through the holidays and new year's. Complete waste of money and time. I called to complain but the line keeps ringing to a busy tone and then disconnects.

They redid the polish but it chipped again two days later. I don't know for other people but my shellac grows out but it never chips and peels.

I'm avoiding this place in the future for shellac manicures and pedicures. Complete waste of time and money. I mean I haven't been feeling well so it's not like I was intensively cleaning or hand washing tons of dishes. There is no reason for my shellac to chip and peel off the way it has both times.

Love love loved the experience. Took my little sister (it was her first time) she was so happy after.

Polite and friendly. Direct billing to most major insurance companies. A little higher price but excellent service.

The pedicure services at Moyo are fantastic! My Mom and I highly recommend seeing Daria or Pratima. Both ladies are friendly and provide great pedicures! It is nice to find a clean, professional spa to have services done at the same time. We canhardly wait for our next visit!

Moyo Spa is honestly the best. Everything from the decor to the lighting is perfect. Dawn is great and I highly recommend her.

Very relaxing and zen atmosphere when you enter. Lovely front end staff. The rainbow sky light is a great addition to the spa rooms.

I have been going here for a few years now with my partner. Larissa was my favorite masseuse. I was sad to see that she is no longer there. Cynthia is amazing as well! Both these ladies leave you feeling rejuvenated and amazing!
I've noticed lately that the hours of availability in the evenings is not as late. We enjoy our massages in the evening before we relax for the night. The limited time slots have left us looking at other places.

Overall, I really lovely spa, great staff and similar pricing to most places.

Will no longer be returning. I woke up this morning quite sick and needed to cancel my appointment. Moyo opened at 10 and I called and left a VM to cancel my appointment at 11. The receptionist was so condescending and I was told it was too late to cancel and I could either still come in or would be charged the 50% cancellation fee. Unfortunately, for the other customers and staff, I chose to still attend my appointment and hopefully everyone else doesn't get my sickness for the Christmas holidays.

As someone who visits Moyo regularly this customer service is very unfortunate and I will not be returning and going to the new Leela Eco Spa in Legacy instead.

Holly was fabulous. I had a sensational 60 minute massage. Beautiful space they have there as well.

Best SPA ever. I book regular massages with Dawn (the best) and many other spa services for myself and the entire family. Just go!

I have been coming to Moyo for years. I was looking for a place in the SE, and happened to drive by within a month of their initial opening. This place is beautiful! Dawn, the owner, has been my massage therapist for the past five years. She is absolutely incredible at helping relieve my shoulder and neck pain. She has become more than my massage therapist, she is a friend. The massage rooms have these gorgeous large lights above the bed that change colours. They are extremely relaxing. All of the other staff are just as wonderful as Dawn. Karen does my brows, and she is just a delight to work with. I always leave feeling so pampered. I really enjoy the hot stone massage, and we've had many couples massages over the last five years. Their couples room is really lovely, and has a private steam shower. We subscribe to the massage a month, which is very cost effective. Another treatment that is very relaxing is the sea mud wrap! In May, I had my wedding, and there wasn't a question where I would be having my services done. Pratima made my toes look so pretty I told her I would need to order some toe rings to flaunt off how perfect they looked! They also do waxing services here, and I've had facials done here in the past as well. Again, I would highly recommend this spa hands down! I've always left feeling absolutely radiant and relaxed. Thank you to all these wonderful professionals for always making me feel so beautiful!

I’ve been a regular here since the owner opened her doors. I have sent many friends and family members here and they all have the same great experience. I can’t recommend them enough for all services!:)

I used to like this place. I booked an appointment online, then they called me and wanted my credit card number to hold the reservation. The next day I went in and provided the cc#. I also found out that the service I had booked would take longer than I had available. I asked the receptionist to cancel it and book me for the following week. The morning of the cancelled appointment, I got a call asking why I hadn’t shown up for the appointment, and that if I didn’t show they would charge my credit card 50% of the fee. I made the point that I had texts showing the appointment had been changed. She didn’t care. To avoid getting charged for a service not provided, I went to the appointment and they rushed through the service and I had to leave before they were complete (no nail polish) because I had another commitment. Will never return since they care more about money than customers.

Absolutely one of the best spa and wellness place in Calgary. Atmosphere is relaxing and decorations are beautiful. Soft meditation music on the background helps you relax and enjoy the moment. Personal is polite and friendly. Massage beds extremely comfortable and bedcovers always clean. Massage therapists are professional, experienced and skilled.

Exceptional thank you to Ashley for the best massage that I have ever had.

I would give 10 stars to this place and people who work there if I could.

Came here with a friend and was pleased at how accommodating they were. First I received a facial and it was great, except I did just want to relax and didn’t appreciate constantly being asked what skin care I used and if I wanted to buy any product. Following this was a pedicure, and my friend and I were placed at opposite sides and it was uncomfortable to speak to each other as we would have to raise our voices, so we texted instead. The pedicure was not well done. I’ve had much better pedicures for half of the price.

My friend and I came to relax and enjoy a facial and pedicure. The facial was pre booked and they said they had time for pedicures when we arrived. The facial was great and I really enjoyed it. However, the pedicure was not. My friend and I both felt it was over priced and not worth it. 4 Days later my toe is still hurting as the tech cut my nail too short and cut my skin, the overall pedicure experience was not up to par and no where near as nice as a pedicure at a cheaper nail salon. I would suggest the facial but stay away from the pedicures and go to another salon!

Very clean and relaxing environment, I seen Felix for a massage as I had tons of knots in my back and shoulders from a recent surgery. He was amazing and knew exactly the spots that needed to be released. Everyone is very friendly and make you feel comfortable. Tons of products and all decently priced for sure!
I highly recommend Moyo if you need a relaxing experience. I know I’ll be booking more services very soon!

Moved to the area and been here for a massage a few times now as it's nice and close. I've had a couple different therapists the times I've gone and they all did a great job. Holly on the other hand stood out a bit more, she has magic hands to get into every crevice of my tiny back and body and I felt she deserved a special shoutout the times I've seen her. Will need to try the other nail and facial services sometime too. All in all, it's such a treat whenever I've gone to Moyo Spa.

I absolutely LOVE Moyo Spa and Wellness! In my honest opinion they are the the best spa in Calgary. The owner Dawn is one of the sweetest people I have ever met and you can tell she is truly passionate about her business, and she really goes above expectations for her clients and cares about their experience. It is also such a gorgeous spa to pamper yourself at, the interior is just beautifully designed! Highly recommend!

Went to Moyo Spa and Wellness on Saturday for a message. I booked 24 hours earlier and they had no problem getting me in. The atmosphere is great and staff are outstanding, the massage was awsome. I would highly recommend using there services. The products they carry are high end but great prices. Thanks for being a great company.

My husband previously left a five-star review only 11-months ago as this was our go-to spot for massages. Today, we called to cancel our appointment due to us coming down with the flu and were told by the owner, Dawn Schaller, that we would be on the hook for a cancellation fee. When I pointed out that Dawn had cancelled on us twice before with only half hours’ notice due to massage therapists being sick, she insisted she was sticking to her policy and charging the fee. After a couple more minutes of discussion, she ultimately agreed to waive the fee, but told us to find a new spa. I am disgusted at the level of service provided by Moyo Spa and it’s owner, Dawn Schaller. Their cancellation policy is totally one-sided and their view on customer relationships is short sighted. My husband and I have spent thousands of dollars at this establishment over the past two years. I recall at one point the billing for our file was all over the place and nobody could tell us how much we owed or had on credit. I worked with Dawn to reconcile their billing statements and actually pointed out to her that Moyo had forgotten to charge us for a massage and went in to settle the bill. I never even received a thank you, but didn’t worry about it because I loved the massage therapist I had been seeing regularly. I used to refer this place to everyone I knew, but now I will be telling them to stay away.

Moyo is an immaculate place to indulge in so many beauty and wellness services. My hubby and I first found it when we went for an amazing couples massage and I frequent there regularly now.

I generally don’t leave reviews however my experiences at MOYO spa have truly always been exceptional. All of the staff there are kind and extremely accommodating. On more then one occasion I have called to book last minute appointments and they always find away to squeeze me in. They go above and beyond to ensure your satisfaction with the service and I can honestly say it always feels like money well spent. Thank you MOYO for making me feel like the customer is the priority at your spa:)

There are tons of locations for massage, wellness and spa. Some high end. Some not. From the very first time I visited Moyo a few years back, I was impressed. Service, quality and friendliness. While I don’t remember who assisted me the first time for my massage, I give kudos to Dawn and her team. This time around, I was booked with Karen for my body treatment and all I can say is.wow. Karen took care of me, was super friendly and ensured I was comfortable, relaxed and happy.

Upon completion of my body treatment, Courtney was assigned as my therapist for my hot stone massage and I have never had such an amazing massage like I did today. She took her time. Stones were hot yet soothing. Music was tranquil. Sound was soothing and Courtney made sure all stress areas were focused on. Even after, she took time to massage my neck as she sensed tension.

At the end, I walked away impressed, relaxed, energized and rejuvenated. I cannot say enough about Dawn, who greeted me when I first walked, got my slippers and put my feet in. The staff she has l cared for me as a client and had smiles all the time. The spa aura was relaxing, tidy, clean and very well maintained. I’ve been to many different places, each failing in one shape, way or form but Moyo has my loyalty. I’ll be back to see Karen and Courtney.

And if anyone is reading the negative reviews, ignore them. They’re non relevant.

Moyo spa is a wonderful place where I started coming to last year. The spa is a very friendly and relaxing place. The workers are all helpful and courteous and the massage therapists are all knowledgeable and take great care in helping give what their clients are looking for. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to go in for a massage!

Absolutely stunning spa. All the stuff are very nice and helpful. The massage therapist are all very knowledgeable and make sure you are always comfortable. Moyo has a lot of therapists so depending on what type of massage you are looking for wether it be deep tissue, relaxation, hot stone.and the list goes on you are always happy with the massage you receive. The spa is clean and well taken care of. I would and do recommend this spa to anyone. I live a 20-25 minute drive away and it is definitely worth the long drive.

I have been to Moyo Spa many times and my experience is exceptional. I have had Dawn and Felix for my massages and also had my eyebrows tinted. I always feel welcomed when I enter and leave feeling so good. I highly recommend anyone to go and feel like you are a new person when you leave. ️️
