I went to this location to get the wheel nuts torqued after having had my tires changed for the summer season. I received the most atrocious customer service. They couldn’t find my info on the computer. Refused to torque the nuts despite 3 members of staff literally doing nothing. Also despite my windshield sticker that showed an oil change that had been done at the same time as the tires, the staff didn’t even offer the address of a possible alternate nearby location that could have done the work. My husband had taken the car initially, all I knew it was Royal Oak. Who knew there’s more than one Mr Lube in this community - this I didn't discover until I got home. No address noted on the sticker and my husband is abroad. Is there no reciprocal agreement between nearby locations to do such a small job? Instead, they now have a very dissatisfied customer who will tell anyone who’ll listen how awful they were. In the name of retention of customers I urge you to train your staff in customer service and strongly suggest working out an arrangement with your fellow franchises

Rude staff, misleading information, zero customer service, prices twice higher that average in the city. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Shame to have a shop like that in my neighbourhood!

I went there this morning for a last minute oil change and the new Manager Devan was great to deal with. Quoted me a time and it was right on par. The service was excellent, was told everything they were doing to the truck so it wasn’t unexpected. I snuck a peak through the window and my technician was physically washing my windshield. All the bad reviews it looks like Devan and his team are turning it around. Will be going there for my future oil changes and fluid top ups!

I did oil change here and they worked professionally. I see that many bad reviews but this shop hired new manager and he was very kind and gave me perfect estimate time and price. To change oil, he said it would take 45 mins and the work finished about 40 mins. I satisfied with their service and would visit again for next oil change.

This morning I went out to my car to find that my windshield wiper was stolen. The employee here helped me not only to find the right size wiper but also helped me attach the wiper to my vehicle. Kindness and customer service unmatched

Fabulous service and store has a new manager who is very attentive and thorough in making sure your vehicle gets all the service it needs. No pressure to get extra jobs done if you don't want. I was in and out in an hour. Went for coffee at McDonalds in Walmart and they phoned me when my car was ready.

There was only one mechanic, came for a simple oil change two hours before closing and was told it couldn’t happen. Guy at the front told me to go elsewhere. Wouldn’t recommend again. Sign says accepting all vehicles until close, what BS.

**UPDATE**
They finally have cleaned one of the driveways, and are working on the second as I type this. Will follow up with editing the review based on what they do next. Sean is great at customer service, that I will say.

They messed up my oil change, vehicle leaked almost all the oil into my driveway of the new home we just bought. They said they'd handle it, and here we are a long time after and they've done nothing. They didn't reimburse me for the oil change, for my gas or time having to go back, or cleaned my driveway. Until they make good on all those things this review will stay up. If they don't they will be hearing from my lawyer pretty soon.

I brought my car to Mr Lube in Walmart Royal Oak to have them do a seasonal tire swap on my car. While they were doing the job, they called me to inform me that my Cabin Air Filter needed to be replaced. I had just changed it the week prior, so I knew it was in nearly perfect shape and I declined the offer to replace. When I got the car home I went to look at the Cabin Air Filter to confirm it was still in good shape, and the housing for the Cabin Air Filter was broken and would no longer close the door to hold the filter in place, as well as the filter looking brand new still. I contacted management at the Mr Lube Royal Oak and they sent photos to head office and explained to them how the car was damaged. They basically told me they would not repair the damage to my car that they caused and I am left with a broken Cabin Air Filter housing. Do not let them touch your vehicles! It's not worth it.

Great customer service! I had a problem identifying the origin of a leak which I had fixed. I wanted to ask if the could top off the fluid level of whatever it originated from. I though it was coming from the PTU of my Ford Edge, but within a few minutes after they put it on the bridge, the technician identified it as steering wheel fluid (by the smell). Quite a relief. The level was topped up and i was sent my way. Really appreciated the swift knowledgeable support and customer service. Next time definitely go there for a service to the car. Great guys working there; very friendly and honest.

Always straight up with estimated costs and time lines. Sincere enough to say when they ain't sure.
They know their onions and are ever so courteous; little wonder the queues sometimes build up.

Excellent customer service, there were some initial hiccups due to miscommunication but I was so very impressed with the extreme professionalism exhibited all around from all staff and all management! Thank-you so very much! I will always be bringing my car to your shop for any service needs. You already came highly recommended from a family member and you did not disappoint!

Very disappointed! During my waiting time for my oil change, got a call from the service man to let me change the cabin air filter. I wasn't too sure about the price but the man insisted me to change it in the shop. He charged me a filter for 74.99! What a scam! Later I figured out Mr Lube charged more than 3 times than retail price for the filter. I can not find any reason they charged a filter for 74.99 and that is ridiculous. Guys stay away from this shop.

Came around 9 am on Monday to get my tires changed (late I know lol) and was out in 30 minutes! Unfortunately I don’t know the names of the gentlemen who helped me but they were very sweet and respectful. Will definitely come back for any last minute car services needed!

Great service. Sean called for filter replacement. Its really bad. Explained about pricing. Said No There was no pressure and great professional behavior. Polite and gently requested my wife to step out who was sitting inside the car. Will definitely go back.

I’ve only ever gotten the best customer service from these group of guys. Most notably is today where Shaun was super friendly, professional, and helped me save some money from deals/coupons that I wasn’t even aware. Thanks again guys!

What took 2 hours and 180$ at Canadian tire in diagnostics to figure out litteraly took minutes at Mr Lube. Not only this but they were much faster and far cheaper. The entire repair was cheaper then just getting it looked at for repair at CT! Highly recommend this location if you want the job done right the first time. Person who helped me was sean he is always a great help and makes the entire process smooth and seamless!:)

Fantastic customer service! Shaun was very helpful, professional and respectful. Don, the mechanic quickly fixed the initial issue I came with but more importantly he managed to diagnose what was the weird noise/banging my vehicle was making for good two years and no mechanic or dealership could tell us what was wrong. He fixed it and my vehicle drives like new! I highly recommend this place

A couple of years ago I switched from CT to Mr. Lube for my seasonal tire swap and oil change.and I have not regretted it.
Although the attendant is different each time I go there, each of them have been friendly, knowledgeable, and generous.

Overall great experience at this store, the gentlemen working were very professional and were nothing but helpful. The gentleman who helped me at the counter, Mitch, was extremely polite and knowledgeable on what was needing to be done. Would recommend this place to everyone!

Poorest and most inefficient service in Calgary. Took my car as the oil leaked. They charged me $80 for the diagnosis. They said there is no issues with the vehicle and the oil leak. The oil leaked the same day and went there again in cold winter. Our garage was all oil spilled. Their mechanic was on leave. Went again the next day and they said we will charge the labour again for the diagnosis. Spoke to Shaz and he was manipulative.

Oil filter has to be changed they said and I agreed. They were adamant on the diagnosis fee again which I said I paid. They still charged me extra labour which they cannot do legally as they already charged me diagnosis fee 2 days ago and concluded there is no leak.

Will be taking up this matter with the consumer forum Alberta.

Gave wrong information over the phone, asked me to come at 7am to get tired changed, when I finally got my vehical checked in, then they cannot swap the tires cause they don't have the tools! Very frustrated, with their attitude and lack of professionalism

Badr helped me out and solved an issue in minutes, since it didn't need any parts he didn't even charge me. I always come here and they take great care of me! Fast and really helpful for a guy who doesn't know much about cars.

Had a really good experience here. The manager took care of everything and communicated well. Tires change was quick. My only complaint is they didn’t give me bags for my tires.

Customer service is great, Kareem is very honest manager and up to the point. I had a service for oil change, i went walk in, it took around 1 and half hr, it was pretty busy.

Terrible customer service. My family member went there to get tires change. He waited an hour till they were opened. They helped other customers first because what the management said you had to wait inside. If you had to wait inside, why we had two doors for the business? If my family member did not know how your process go because he does not know much English, then why there were other customers waited the same thing like he did!? And when customers asked you why then your behaviour to customers were rude and ignorant. I called to complain to a manager there and he was not even apology for a misunderstanding but being so rude to me. Even though there is a mistake or misunderstanding, there should be a proper way of handling customer service instead of treating customer rudely, racist and angry because we did not do the way they want! Not recommend to anyone we know of.

Went to this location to get my tires changed, showed up to the store to lineup at 8: 30 (they open at 9) there were 7 people in front of me. It took over a hour to get to the desk. Not the women’s at the desks fault as she was the only person on the front desk and had to run out of the building to do a walk around for each car. Was told it would be approximately a 2 hour wait. While waiting in the lineup, two of the 7 people in front of me were called back because they couldn’t change their tires. That leaves 5 cars ahead of mine. I ended up waiting four hours to get a call that they cannot change my tires because my lug nuts where on too tight. I don’t know what kind of tire place can come out to three costumers and say they cannot change there tires because the lugs are too tight. The three men working there don’t seem to care about their work. I also noticed that the three men would take smoke breaks together and have a chat while costumers are waiting for there vehicles. To make this even worse I went to another store and they had no problem removing my lugs. I would not recommend anyone going to this location!

Worst service, I came 3 times to do oil change and every time I got different excuse not do the job, my last time the tech is sitting drinking coffee at 6 pm and the supervisor said it will take until after hours to do oil change for one more car!

I needed a tire repair. I called in asking about tire repairs and if it was a good time. The man over the phone said it was good time. I drive over asking for a repair and all the worker said was “we just took in our last cars for the day”. Keep in mind this is a full 2 hours before “closing”. He also wanted me to drive to Northland to get my tire fixed. I’m not
driving far on a messed up tire. VERY DANGEROUS. Don’t go here, not very accepting and accommodating.

I only give this 2 stars because the staff is friendly. This is my go to place for oil changes, tire changes, etc. But whoever is performing the services does not take his job seriously and doesn't care that he might be putting people at risk. Both my sister and brother in law went in for a winter tire change (different days) and both of their tires were under pressurized. When I went in to change my tires I told the guy in the front desk what had happened to them and asked him to triple check my tires to ensure they were fine and we assured me he would. Of course when I got home my husband checked my tires (because I don't trust Mr. Lube anymore) and they were all under pressurized as well.

Unacceptable standard of service

While having the oil changed the technician replaced the drain plug before all the oil was discharged, once pointed out to the person behind the desk I requested the plug be removed to observe how much more oil would discharge, we all (including the technician) observed a large discharge, very dissatisfying knowing the technician did not take the time and effort to ensure all the used oil had discharged.

Due to this incident I thought I should check out the other work carried out once I got home.
I had to fill up my windshield washer fluid, this was on my invoice as completed.
I checked my tire pressures after having my winter tires removed and summers fitted and found they had been over pressurized

Very disappointed in the quality of the service provided

Went to get my lug nuts tightened there would not tighten them because I didn't get my tires there they gave me some bullshit exuse that it come down to a liability issue. Bullshit they should of done it. Went to north land fountain tire and they tighten them right there and then. I would never bring minute lube my business again and it comes down to being a safe vehicle on the road.

-Service was slow. Was told it would take approx. 2 hours, went back after an hour (as I was walking and it was about 30° out so I wanted to sit and wait) and they were just then bringing my car in. Then took almost the next hour to change 4 tires.

-Customer service was great, the young lady (forget her name) at the desk was very polite and accommodating. No issues there!

-Free courtesy check was great, but the tech forgot to fill my coolant res so I asked again. He filled it for me but then filled it way over the max so I decided to just level it out myself.

Great guys and service all around, just need to step up their timing and doing small things properly.
