Mr. Lube + Tires

Excellent location. Very honest mechanics who told me I didn't need service changes on certain things other shops were trying to convince me to get. I'll be back.

Had a front tire curb impact on a low profile tire and started loosing pressure very quickly in a few minutes from side of the rim on my rental vehicle. I could only drive it to closest shop Mr.lube at 130th Ave before it went flat. When they checked and tried to fill air, the tire didn't hold pressure so they said it's non repairable and said had to replace all four tires since it is AWD.at that time I trusted what they said as I had no idea technically to assess the reason.it was -30 at the time and I needed the car so I said OK as I had no choice.they removed the faulty tire off the rim and inspected it and found no punctures on the tires and no cracks on the rim either but one person noticed a ROUGH patch on the inside of tire curve and confirmed it could be the reason but didnt see any puncture. He tried to poke through the rough patch but he was inconclusive and also couldn't explain how it could loose pressure just in a few min unless it happend through the rims. I asked them to put the tire back on the rim to see if it holds up as i suspected it could be a temporary structural leak due to the impact and probably just needed a RESEATING but they insisted it won't be of any help and said it is safe to buy new tires. Again I trusted them. They also brain washed me not to install spare tire in this weather condition due to the risk and put me under more fear and stress to make a decision to install the new tires.

My reasoning got stronger when they tried to install the new tires on the same rim and didn't hold pressure initially and he had to adjust the position a few times and that tire got into a proper position and was able to hold the pressure later. It was very cold that time and I couldn't bare standing inside so I was hopping back and forth between a&w and lube while they were working on the other tires. I couldn't let go of my reasoning and came back stronlgy to ask them to try put my original tire back on the rim as I don't believe it is an tire problem.all it needed was a little adjustment and reseating the tire could have fixed the problem.by that time they had all four tires changed.person who helped change the tires also agreed with me, so I spoke to the supervisor person named Matt. He also said it is not due to rough patch but instead he tricked certifying that this tire is not fit to be installed due to that rough patch and it is better to stick to the new tires that costed me 2000 dollars. I even mentioned that I will pay for the labor as I wanted to avoid this expensive bill as I didn't believe it was an tire issue but he did not agree

I feel cheated as they put me on pressure to make a decision at those stressful situation and used my ignorance. But the supervisor said that he will help escalate the situation to his managers, if I can get a second opinion on that rough patch. To me he was using the rough patch which was not leaking air as an excuse to justify the need for new tires.

I felt very disappointed and felt ashamed that I didn't make the right decision due to my ignorance. Now i feel the technicians who inspected was useless and had no skills for this profession.they just wanted to make more money. I will never go back to this place due to this incident. Im Just writing this for others awareness.they just lost a valuable customer but i dont think they care. It would be hard to sleep with this for sometime and I can never digest this unprofessional job.

I will try my luck to find someone who can reinspect the rough patch so I can get lube's higher management to look into this. I hope they have honest prossional to stand by the truth. I need some justice for that money.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. If I could personally give all of these workers a raise, I would. The service here is fulfilling and impeccable. Headlights have never shown so brightly, thank you dearly manager Brad. If your car is broken and needs expert fixing, this is the place to be. (No other Mr. Lube can do it quite like these young men.) Never had a more professional or thrilling service, Adham makes coffee better than any cafe out here in Calgary. If you are looking to come here for an oil change, Nathen is the guy to ask for. A huge thank you to the Mr. Lube team and Lorenzo (the small Spanish boy).

I’ve never had such great customer service. The employees at this Mr. Lube were impeccable. We had the best experience and highly recommend. Special shout-out to Nathen, Brad and Adham for the great oil change and headlight cleaning! They carry Mr. Lube on their backs.

So pleased with my visit I thought I had a simple flat and rolled in on the weekend only to learn that the tire damage was far worse than expected and Richard took the time to show me the damage and make some recommendations, he went above and beyond to offer me options and even provided quotes on new tires which I felt confident purchasing from them. Thanks for the great service

All the staff was super helpful. Dante was training Justin today and he seemed very capable. I felt like I was in good hands and the manager was super handsome so that was just an added bonus.:)

Had a much needed oil change today and was helped by brad and josh! Not only was the oil change needed but the friendliness and personableness was much needed. Not only were they extremely kind but worked very hard to getting my car its needs! Thank you brad and josh!
