I have always loved the pet store. I have stopped by for years just to see the bunnies, and guinea pigs, snakes and check out the fish.
I used to stop anx use my kids as an excuse to do so. Honestly it's a cheap/free fun stop for the kids and an informative stop if you are considering the right pet to get kids. Staff is always helpful and friendly and the selves are stocked with some amazing products.

Very great staff have been a few times for tropical fish. And every time very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you so much

Bought some treats here for our puppy and found that the ingredients contain garlic which is toxic for dogs. Garlic is a gastrointestinal irritant and can cause vomiting and diarrhea in dogs. In high doses, it can also have toxic effects on the blood, particularly red blood cells. Read the ingredients on your purchases before buying.

Clerk at the store tried to assure us that in small doses its “fine”.

Lara is the best manager! Hannah and Erika are really knowledgeable in reptiles and small animals!

They have a neat little system where after you buy a certain amount of bags, dog food you get one free of equal or lesser value

I went to this store and felt as though the staff wanted me out as soon as I walked in. I wanted to adopt a cat that was at the store. Once I asked for more information about the cat and how to adopt I was given one word answers and told the cat wasn’t ready. I went back a couple days later to find out he was adopted. Wasn’t happy with the experience at all.

Big store, Fishes. Bunnies. Kitties. I have a hard time leaving without the urge to buy something.or someone (a pet) my doggo needs treats, pillows, chews, toys, maybe a friend.idk. Even the guinea pigs are cute and I'm allergic to them!

Kelly was so helpful and honest with me about getting new guinea pigs after one of mine had passed away. She was soooo helpful and so knowledgeable and I'm so grateful as I'm a bit out of my mind after David passing away. This was the best experience I had and I called a lot of places!

Staff are always helpful here, unlike some of the other pet stores that don't seem to have any staff other then tellers.

I usually love going to this pet store! But the last 2 times I went in to buy fish for my 30 Gallon aquarium the 2 girls working there were not pleasant at all. I had some questions about a couple different fish but am not a newbie to having fish tanks. They gave me false information and made it seem like they didn't want to sell me any fish. Which was clear after they went off whispering. They ruin the pet store for me and I will not be going back. There are much better places to buy fish with people that actually know what they are talking about when it comes to aquariums and who actually want to help you.

Great pet store. Lots of selection. I purchase Acana food for my kitties here. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Manager Kelly is terrific.

Super friendly staff. Great selection/variety of food, treats and toys for a wide variety of animals. Easily a top choice for a pet store in the Edmonton area.

Family failed to tell me, we were out of dog food until 5 mins to close. I called asked if I ordered through the website if they could throw our bag in the back. Laurie was the supervisor on shift and she offered to wait for me and hand me the bag. I showed up 15 minutes after close and recieved my dog food with a smile! Absolutely stellar customer service that turned a stressful situation into a great experience. Always shop at Mr. Pets, we've been shopping here since we moved to Alberta and have never been let down!

Very nice store, great staff been going here for several years to get fish supplies. Would like to see the dog items selection expanded a bit to include a few more new to market items. But overall great store for pet supplies.

Self serve dog wash is best in the city. Staff always make sure it is clean and even disinfect the machine between uses for customers. Highly recommended for anyone looking to wash their dog!

We went in strictly to buy a hamster, the website stated they had them available. They had none. We wanted to support local but Petsmart got our business.

I drove in from Spruce Grove for a nerite snail today to replace our 2 week old snail previously purchased here. After calling to confirm they had them in stock. Only to find out that the tank is under quarantine. When we mentioned that our previously purchased snail died, we were informed they had a bad “batch. ” Guess that doesn’t fall under the fish guarantee automatically? The representatives then explained the tanks were quarantined for ick and they were unsure if snails could be carriers (they can) but it would probably be ok. Many ick treatments kill snails as well. Long story short, you are better off spending your money elsewhere where they value your time.

We went at a busy time and by busy I mean covid limitations on persons in the store busy. But once we got inside it has everything and the staff are very nice. We had to wait for service again bc they were busy so understandable so I give it a 4. Better then petsmart and best in st albert

I am suprised this store is alowing people in to just view animals right now. I was in there a couple days ago and people were buying so much dog food at once. I wish people would respect what's going on right now: (please let people getting child tax on friday a chance to get their animals food.

Didn't have enough time to look around and I will definitely go back on a not so busy day to look around more

Im super happy you guys are open. I was able to get my cats food since I was running low and I saw the cashiers making sure to clean the tills between customers which I appreciate. Thank you for staying open and letting us grab our pet essentials!

I love this shop! I'd patronize it any day over a big corporate pet store. Great selection, and the best millet for budgies.

Great selection of items for pets of all kinds. Helpful and friendly staff who are willing to answer questions and really assist you with your pets needs.

I was just here! They had fish, and snakes, and tarantulas, and rabbits, and cats, and birds, and turtles, and lobsters. There was also a dog that was visiting the store with its owner. You can also buy many supplies for your pets there, such as food, enclosures, toys, and dishes. You may be able to buy even more things that I didnt list, I'm not sure, because I Listed everything I can think of. Thank you and good day

Nice staff. If u have cats or rabbits, they will allow u to interact your cat orb rabbit with who they have for adoption.

Friendly knowledgeable staff, and great products. Also a fantastic place to take toddlers to look at the fishies and animals.

Awesome location. We buy our dog food here, great service and knowledgable staff. I love the deal they have buy 12 recieve one dog food free. Our children love the cats and birds and fish area. They have there stuff together.

I bought back my power blue gourami to store because he is so aggressive towards my platies. Store refused to give me exchange or store credit. After she talked to her manager and was ok to purchase fish using store credit. I settled with buying 4 platies, but store refused to give me on sales price (buy one get one free} I wonder what kind of customer service was it?

Staff here is always so helpful. I find their prices to be around 25% higher than PetSmart for typical things like fish food and supplies of that sort. But they have fantastic selection for high quality pet foods and treats.

Great store to deal with, they always special order my cat food in for me. The staff are amazing and super helpful and knowledgable!

I miss Pet Paradise. The previous owners were extremely kind and informative. Every time we would go in, I would ask to hold a bunny, they would let me hold the cutie, same with the kitties. Now you ask, and the young girl says no. You must adopt, if u want to hold it. Your loss. You go to PetValu, and they encourage you to play with their kitten/cats.

I'm easily able to request a special order for larger quantities of chinchilla pellets which is wonderful as I don't live in St. Albert. The product comes in quickly, and they always call me when it's ready. I make the trip because the product is good quality and customer service has always been excellent. Thank you for continuing to be my go-to place for quality chinchilla food!

The staff that we dealt with were quite rude. We asked for crickets and the ones they had were much smaller than the ones we usually get. When we asked for older / bigger crickets the staff member gave us a huffy and an eye roll. This isn't the first time we have gotten a grumpy staff member here.

Helpful and knowledgeable staff, fair pricing, and better selection for my crested gecko than any other pet store I've seen. The staff was very accommodating and ensured my needs were met.

Good prices and the selection is also very good, there is less staff out and about on the floor so you have to always take the item you have questions about to the front desk. Other than that the place is clean and very well stocked.

Good place for boarding of small animals such as birds. Friendly staff. Glad to they have switch over to adoptions for dogs/cats.

The staff is courteous and always offer to help with bags. I have never had trouble with getting the right brand of food, and the loyalty program helps a great deal.

Great selection and decent prices, for fish.
However 2 out of three people in their fish department have good social skills and customer service. The other, we've dubbed 'The fish Nazi'. He interrogated us even after we'd reached the till. He asked the same questions the other employees already covered, but in a pass/fail tone with no tact. A very uncomfortable experience.
When my wife went alone, the same rep had refused to sell her fish. We have a large, mature aquarium that has housed many generations of fish, no issues for the beginner fish she wanted to buy.
The fish Nazi seems to be a supervisor, so good luck getting past him. His overriding of the other employees and poor social skills was stressful. We found being aggressive seemed to help us leave with our fish. It really makes it our last choice, unless we are after something only sold there.

Been coming here for years. Staff is wonderful, bright and diverse. Each facet of the store is staffed with those that have expertise in their respective areas

I love this place. I recently adopted a rat snake from them and they were very wonderful and informative about c as re.

A little pricey and when I went had lots of fish and water plants on quarantine. A couple fish were dead in their tanks I know it happens but doesn't look good. Good selection and friendly service.

This pet store really blew me away. The staff was so nice and helped us out with everything we were looking for and we even got to play with and pet their African Grey, Spike! They don't have a massive selection but they definitely have enough for a novice pet owner. It was also very clean and inviting inside the building. They have a great selection of pet food for all kinds of animals, from birds to fish to cats. I definitely recommend coming here if you are looking for a good local pet store.

Mr. Pet's is amazing. Extremely friendly staff. Great selection of reptiles, fish, birds, and cats. Spike is also a great mascot. Coolest African Grey in town.
