Mucho Burrito Fresh Mexican Grill

We used to get the take home taco kit on average once a month. While it was expensive at about $75 we felt like we got our money’s worth. The changes made to the take home taco kit are appalling. There are very few toppings, and the portion sizes are extraordinarily small. A 2oz container of “pico de gallo” amounts to nothing more than a urine sample cup sized portion of diced tomatoes. If you order the chips and guacamole you end up with a giant bag of stale chips, and then an extra-small dish of guacamole. How small? The same sized dish used by sushi restaurants to send soy sauce, is what you get of guacamole, essentially one spoonful (for about $14), allegedly this is enough to serve a family. On top of this the options for toppings have been reduced, which is I suppose irrelevant because with the new sizes for the toppings you need to make all four of your options the same thing so that you get enough to feed everyone. Due to this disappointing change we will no longer be spending our money at this establishment.

Normally I'm happy with my order, but today the corn was burnt. I would have taken it back but I didn't have time.

Hello Mucho Burrito Shawnessy- I visited the store on July 20,2022 and asked for small bowl just for Rice & Beans for my son. Generally other MB stores such as Deerfoot Meadows, Marlborough have small bowl- and they only charge for extra Guacamole. But surprisingly this location does not have any small bowl for just one scoop of rice and some beans.
I like to know why different stores have different set of guidelines? Can someone please explain?

Overpriced and overrated. Food was not that good, you get a small quantity and staff was rude. Not worth it.

Gave rice instead of ancient grains without letting me know. Punishable by death where I’m from.

First time eating here. I tried their bowls since I am a fan of poke bowls. I had half shrimp, half beef bowl with brown rice and some toppings of mango salsa, sweet potato, corn and extra guacamolie. I also tried their guava drink and it was good. Location was clean and staff was friendly, professional and funny. I would definitely go back.

I want to give Mucho Burrito 5 stars but this location is so disappointing! Meat quality and quantity is gross, rice is strange, beans are unbearable, service is good although. Step up your game! Paying 13 bucks for a burrito, the customers deserve more! If Calgary had more Mexican options this place would have been shut down years ago.

Great people, great food, great service. Mucho Burrito is my go to not only for Mexican, but fast food in general. The portions are great for the price, and the service and employees are welcoming every time I go. This particular Mucho Burrito location is the best one I have went to in the city. It is a well maintained, clean establishment as the management is top notch. I highly recommend this restaurant and you will most certainly get your best bang for your buck here.

Just ordered 2 burritos and a Jarritos drink and when I got home there was no Jarrito. I should have checked the bag, but honestly it was a simple 3 item order. This did happen once before but I caught it before I drove off. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE LEAVING!

Normally I love Mucho Burrito, but this location was subpar, they kept rushing us and the burrito tasted like it just had beans and rice on it. I understand that you may be busy but that does not mean that you have to rush us and make something that is gonna be tasteless and bland. There was barely any sauce on my burrito, even though I asked for sour cream, burrito sauce AND hot sauce. Thats a lot of sauce, so you'd think it would taste great, but no. They barely put any sauce on it. All they wanted to do was get the order done and get us the hell out of there. There was no care put into the making of my food. I wouldn't even give 1 star but unfortunately I have to. Please train your staff better, and strive for quality rather than quantity. I will definitely not be coming back to this location.

There were two ladies and a gentlemen working when my mom and I came in

It was super busy but these two ladies had the line down within minutes and were overly polite on making sure we had a good experience and to make sure we hadn't waited to long

The gentlemen was extremely polite as well and made sure our orders were correct a few times and made sure we had a good experience overall

I would have checked their nametags but I couldn't see them but they have great staff here that appreciates their customers greatly I'd definately recommend this location!

After a screw up with skip the dishes, I was contacted by the owners who went above and beyond to help make it right. They remade my order and personally delivered it to my door! It was very appreciated. Thank you very much!

Employees don't change their gloves when making your food. Literally touching the handles of back doors and coming to make your food.

The manager is always really nice! I always get churros with my burrito and he makes sure to give me the freshest ones. I’ll be going back next week after moving out of Calgary

We LOVE mucho burrito! It's definitely more Tex Mex than Mexican but delicious either way! Their portions are huge and we're always stuffed and very satisfied after. They've had some of the same staff for a while now who are really friendly and fast. My husband has pretty high expectations for food and likes going there. We can get quesadillas for our kids which works perfectly after a long day being out.

Really good service and great food, the staff were friendly and our meals came hot and fresh. I order the steak tacos love that you can add any toppings you want, its nice to go to a place that serves fresh food right in front of you. The Chips are also a nice snack before your meal to share! The size of food you get is perfect, and my new favorite dish is the tacos. I would say come try it out if your looking for a healthier version of "fast food". I will be back all summer!

There has been a change in menu since the last time I ate here and, I gotta say, it's very good. The Mayan mango chorizo burrito was exactly what I needed

Used to love mucho burrito but after the last two times with ordering from skip my wife got sick the first time and the second time my wife and I got very sick. I didn’t think it was mucho at first but the second time my wife and I had completely different meals until mucho. Would recommend management to look into the cleanliness of this location

I like Mucho Burrito a lot but the service here is usually not very good.usually 2 or 3 people hanging out in the back and one helping the line of customers. And they don't seem to taste as good as some of the other places. Just not as much care goes into my Burrito.

Great or good, inconsistent between which staff you get. But even when it's "bad" it's still good. Would be 4.5 if I could, not the best mucho burrito in the city but really good.

I have been to this location many times and always leave satisfied. It can be intimidating if you have never been. Just remember it like this: choose your wrap size either small or medium. The mucho size is only for those days when you have the hunger of a 1000 villages. Then you will choose in this order, meat, beans, salsa, toppings, sauces. You then get your choice of drink. All the usuals are there but if you like pop, try the a Jarrito beverage. It's pop made with sugar cane and the taste is different from our usual American standards. I enjoy the "Mexicola" Jarrito the best.
I always order a regular size meat burrito (chicken) with black beans. Then I say yes to vegetables and get Pico salsa. I choose lettuce, corn, and lots of cilantro. I get cheese and burrito sauce. They roll that burrito tight and thrown it in the hot iron press. I get the Mexicola and then purchase.
Mucho Burrito is not as cheap as regular fast food but the value for your money I believe is great. There are other things on the menu too so check it out online or when you get there and perhaps you will find just the right thing.

Best place to have burritos. Service has always been really good. Not a big fan of their quesadillas.but the burritos are great!

We come here relatively often and enjoy a pretty good meal. It's fast food but you can make it as healthy or as carb-laden as you want.

I found it's actually a really nice group of people that work there and the fellow or family that I think runs it has always been friendly and they are always making things correctly and it tastes good.

Initially when my kids were younger they would only eat cheese quesadillas but now the nice thing is because they can see the food they can actually pick and choose new things now and then to expand the range and breadth of their palette.

The staff are super friendly but the food was absolutely terrible. I ordered a Quesadilla and it had very little cheese. In the past their food tasted much better.

Do not cater very well to those with specific food requests, staff seemed uptight and cut portions much smaller than other locations.

Not the same place they used to be. This is the only location in the entire city that charges for extra toppings, they also removed toppings like green salsa, and give only half scoop portions. Owner appears motivated by greed but at least the staff are pretty nice. If they try to charge you for extra toppings then tell them you're walking out, they'll give them to you as they're not allowed to throw out an unfinished burrito.

By far the worst Mucho Burrito location in Calgary. The staff were good but the food selection is absolutely terrible. I have been in every single mucho burrito location in Calgary and this is the only place that charged me extra for guacamole on burritos. Toppings are strange and over complicated compared to the other locations which offer simple and authentic choices. If you want Mucho Burrito go to another location because this one is just abysmal.

Went above and beyond our expectations. Mucho Burrito is my son's favorite restaurant and chose this location to celebrate his birthday. I called ahead to ask if they were Ok with me bringing in a cake since we were celebrating. Well - when we got there the staff was fantastic and went all out to help my son celebrate. They came to our table to check on us a few times, even though this is a fast food establishment. We really felt taken care of. Plus the food was fantastic as always.

Terrible staff, always rushing you out the door like there is a massive line. Rude and non communicative staff. Old food with limited and strange options seen at no other mucho burrito. Plus 4 topping limit. Terrible experience everytime and not coming here again. Unless you are Hispanic expect to be treated like garbage.
