I can’t say enough good things about this shop! The staff are knowledgeable, approachable, and super friendly. They helped my spouse and I get fitted with two new bikes. The sales team is great and the service team is the definition of fast, and thorough! I’d highly suggest this shop for all things bike!
I always bring my bike to mud sweat and gears. Top notch service. Helped out in a bind or two. Only one mistake made and they rectified it quickly and left me satisfied! I owe you guys some donuts next time I'm in!
Awesome staff, I stopped in 10 minutes before closing on a Friday afternoon and the customer service was top notch. I apologized for coming in so soon to closing and they assured me that it was OK. We had the pleasure of chatting with Gary and the team. Ended up purchasing my wife's bike on the spot and she was pretty happy. Definitely support the business if you're in need of bike services
Not only is the selection vast & the pricing reasonable but the atmosphere is also stellar.
The staff are always very helpful and friendly. Whether they are helping me to find a specific part, working on my bike or just chatting they are amazing. Also the management of MSG is something to take note of. They are heavily involved in the community, something you don't always see.
If yer looking for a new bike, bike repair, parts or apparel this is your place!
Visited the store with my family and spent almost two hours with Liam. He went above and beyond helping with questions and showing us different bikes and ended up buying 3 bikes. We appreciated Liam’s patience, honesty and help!
Wanted to start out by saying a huge thanks to Liam at MSG West for being incredibly helpful during my journey of purchasing a new mtb. He was professional, knowledgeable and above all else VERY patient with my quest to find my next bike. I will definitely be a long time customer thanks to Liam and all the support/help from MSG.
I haven't bought a bike in years these people know their bikes. I bought my first fat bike (2022 Norco Bigfoot S1 XL) from these guys this year with fantastic service always pushing for perfection I love coming into their clean fully stocked shop always something I need.they're your friend in the bike industry.had service work done with them again fantastic they stay on top of things talk to you about everything needed always trying to better your experience with your bike that's what Mud Sweat and Gears is all about!
I dealt with the fantastic staff at the Stony plane store.see you guys soon.for my next bike!
Thanks Paul and all staff from Stony Plain Mud Sweat and Gears! Cheers
I needed a wheel repair on my bike Sunday Aug 21. I called these guys and they told me to come right over. I did and they fixed me up right away What excellent unexpected service! Now a customer for life, thanks you guys
Awesome place great service and a giant thanks to Colton who goes above and beyond for information and his work. Deff coming here for all bike needs easily beats any others.
Best bike shop! They’ve helped me out instantly two days in a row during my rides this weekend — once for my road bike (flat tire forgot my spare) and once for my MTB (rear derailleur). Friendliest staff and the best service — 100% recommend. Thanks for being the best neighbourhood bike shop!
Awesome staff. Super knowledgeable and very helpful. I have a 2009 Iron horse 7.5 that they helped me find a bunch of bearings for and anything they didn't have they told me where I could get it. One of the mechanics is a little bit "holier than thou" but the rest is great
I called this shop today to see if they had a specific e-bike. They did not currently have the bike but was willing to discuss different e-bike models and provided me loads of information. This is a great bike shop and will support them in the future. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE that is hard to find these days.
A great bike shop for all your cycling needs! Friendly, laid-back and knowledgeable staff. And they did a superb job during the pandemic to make customers feel safe.
AMAZING! The store is so neat and clean and organized, I didn't need an appointment and everyone there is super friendly and truly care about what they do-i love that they were having fun and laughing- I love that they were able to just take my bike in as a walk in and where able to tighten the arm cranks.and the price! You CANT BEAT IT - this store has earned a customer for life. THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS- YOUR ALL AWESOME!
Don’t take your bike anywhere else! M, S, and G is honestly the best! I’ve brought multiple bikes in and always get amazing service! I brought my bike in today with an issue and was pushing it out of the store 20 min later fixed and for a great price! Hit up “Nile” If you’re looking for an honest tech that will have you rolling asap!
Edit: Paul, the owner, did reach out to me and was very understanding about the situation. I did appreciate that he put in the time to listen to my concerns, and was willing to offer me compensation for the mishaps.
I took my bike in to MSG to get my free complimentary service done, as I bought my bike from them last year and hadn’t used the service yet. When I went to pick my bike up I was charged almost $200. I was unaware that they were going to replace any parts on my bike, considering I only wanted the complimentary service done. I wish this was communicated with me before they went ahead with the service, as I was expecting this to be a free complimentary tune up. On top of that when I went to pay for the service, they told me I had to pay for ride wrap which I paid for when I bought the bike a year ago. Which when I looked back on my bank statements was $315. They told me the employee who initially charged me for the ride wrap only charged me for the labour and not the product itself. So now a year later they are charging me for a mistake that their employee made at the time. The staff were friendly, however I’m very unimpressed with how the situation was handled.
Nothing but Amazing service all the time! Gary and the crew know exactly how to take care of customers. We have been repeat customers as they always go above and beyond. Stop In and see for yourself if you in the market for any style of bike.
They're the best local bike shop in Edmonton hands down! No wonder why they're expanding and just opened a new store in the south at Calgary trail. Staff are super friendly and helpful. They found me the specific parts I was looking for by really looking and caring. Best part is they installed them in the same day very quick so I got to ride my bike right away.
I highly recommend this shop. Working with both Brandon and Paul from the Sherwood Park location was a great experience. I placed my order online, communicated with them back and forth about a few things, then a couple days later my new bike showed up. Bike was packed perfectly, not a thing I could criticize. Nice to deal with a shop that knows what they are actually selling.
I was super impressed with Ashley who helped me pick out the right new ride. Tried out 4 different bikes until I found exactly what I wanted. She was very knowledgeable and very patient with me. I would happily endorse this shop to anyone.
Awesome staff. Super knowledgeable and very helpful. I have a 2009 Iron horse 7.5 that they helped me find a bunch of bearings for and anything they didn't have they told me where I could get it. Next time I'm in the market for a bike I know where I'm headed.
I manged to get a new Rocky Mountain instinct A30 from Mud Sweat and Gears this year and Mike and Garry at the store were great in helping me decide the best bike for me and make it happen. It has been great bike to ride and I enjoy it very much. Paul has great staff at his stored, thanks.
After going to other competitors and getting sub par service. I sought out Mud, Sweat and Gears and recieved some of the best customer service and experties in the city. The technicians were well versed and looking to accomodate where they could. I wouldn't go anywhere else for bike service. Thanks again.
Both my partner and I have never had a bad experience at Mud - staff go out of their way to be helpful whether you're armed with all the bike knowledge or not. Bike servicing is quick and efficient, and even with stock issues (bikes are a crazy commodity these days) they'll do everything they can to hook you up with what you're looking for or at least get you on a waitlist or direct you to their other locations. I never want to go anywhere else for anything bike related!
Customer service isn't rocket science. I should know; I've done it before. Yet the staff member who served me today didn't seem to get the simple fact that I wanted tubes changed in both my tires, not just one. And, it turns out they charge their minimum shop fee for every single part installed. Imagine if mechanics did this!
The only reason I didn't leave one star is that most of the staff I spoke to weren't rude, and they did do the work properly.
In the future, I'll be making the drive to United Cycle where the staff have been nothing but excellent to me.
Great shop, unlike the one at the revolution cycle. I showed a picture of my bike that needed repair and they repaired it immediately. All in all I am satisfied thanks guys!
Had issues getting my bike's brakes to bleed. A quick phone call and one of their bike techs quickly walked me through a few things to try. I had the brakes bled and working within minutes. Store staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. Definitely would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. 5 stars for sure!
I dont live in Edmonton and had never been to the store there before friday February 28th. I went in with a few tire questions. I didnt catch the fellows name that helped me, but he has a beard and I think the only one I saw in the store with a beard. I had tire size questions about a bike brand you guys dont even carry, he found a ton of info for me. The level of help and service I received while in the store was phenomenal! I unfortunately had to go pick my wife up from a meeting and head to a business lunch, so I didn't end up purchasing anything in store. However, based on the service I got while there, i will do any and all bike shopping in the edmonton area at your edmonton branch. I'm unbelievably impressed, and I just wanted to pass that on to you. Thank you.
The team at MUD SWEAT AND GEARS put together an awesome RM winter mountain bike complete with studded tires. Now I hope winter never ends. Great advise and service!
Mud sweat and gears has been nothing short of exceptional with me from the purchase of my bike to the repair after it was stolen. Staff are friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and professional. I can't recommend doing business with them enough. Thank you!
I can't even believe the level of service i got. Gary is the man to see at the west end location. After a small hiccup with ordering confusion with the spruce grove location I called the West store and Gary made dreams come true. I feel like this store will work with you and make it possible to purchase bikes i once thought where out of my league. They set my bike up for my weight, checked over Twice! Registered my bike on bike index all before i left the store! Thanks guy's!
If you are an avid biker, particularly mountain biker, i recommend you go to MSG. They are steadily becoming the best option for premium bikes in Edmonton and area (+red deer). Yes, there are other bike stores in the city, but MSG focuses on carrying high quality bikes in addition to providing high quality service. There's a reason why rocky mountain and santa cruz are being pulled from other stores.i don't know the reason specifically, but i imagine its because they'd rather MSG sell them because they know what they're talking about.
Fantastic service and awesome selection. I came here after feeling pressured and up-sold at Revolution Cycle and am so glad I did. My wife and I have some awesome new rides and had fast and friendly service. We got one of our bikes from the Spruce Grove location and the other one here because of stock.
After my kids bikes fell off the back of the truck I needed new bikes quick. Paul and Dave sorted me out with a great deal and did it quickly! Happy kids, happy dad!
Went in to see some bikes and the guys there really know their stuff and at the same time eager to help and there was no pressure for me to buy. I already know I will go back and buy one of their bikes in the near future. Thanks for all the help guys.
Went all around the city looking for a bushing for my rear shock. Everyone went straight to a computer and said we can order or can't get it, or our suspension guy doesn't work Saturdays. Last stop was mud sweat and gears and the "young" tech knew what I was looking for as I showed him my shock, went straight to a parts bin and pulled out the bushing I needed. No computer reguirded. I bought 3 bushings and even a new seat. Definitely recommend this store. 5 stars!
Had a great experience buying a bike here. It took a bit to get the attention of the sales staff as I'm pretty sure they were on shift change over myself and my friend walked in. We walked up to the service area and asked if someone could help us and Griffin said yes I can start a little early to help you out. My friend and I were looking to purchase our first real mountain bikes for riding in the river valley area to start. And likely a little more intricate trails later on. Griffin directed through the bikes that were within our budget and told us little tidbits of information on several of them. Particularily helpful was his suggestion of 29" wheels as they seem to roll easier which I totally agree with. We ended up trying out 7 or 8 bikes each and I found a 2018 Norco Storm that felt great. My friend had a 2018 Kona Lava Dome brought in from another location and ended up going with it. The next day I purchased so e pants and a new seat to go along with everything. I can say after riding almost everyday for 2 weeks since my purchase I couldn't be happier with the gear I bought and all the help we received. Definitely like the shop and happy to buy local. They have solid deals on bikes too!
I brought my bike in for some servicing and Carl was able to immediately help me. He took the time to listen and figure the problem out with me. Would recommend anyone needing help to come here.
Awesome bike shop, I came down looking for a nice hardtail and ended up leaving with a new Kona Mahuna. Super awesome selection of bikes here for every price range. All the staff are very knowledgable and helpful, One gentleman even came out and showed me how to install the tailgate cover properly. The sales people don't work on commission so nobody will push somthing out of your price range. Very happy with my purchase and their level of service. Go see them if you are in the market for a new bike!
