I've tried almost all menu items and so far haven't found anything that isn't delicious. In addition everything's ready fast. Highly recommended.

Our first time here, but not the last! Excellent food and great service. I wish there was a sit down possibility, but that is my only wish.

This is an owner-operated gem on the Bowness strip. Our food was fantastic, matching the service. I was delighted to find it’s not a franchise.
We will definitely go back to try some of the other menu items, as well as keep the group dinner options in mind for our next gathering!
4 stars for atmosphere only because it could have used a bit of organization around the front counter- but in no way does it take away from the overall experience.

Try this new place! Had a lone cowboy combo, bisket melts in your mouth, all the sides are delicious. Really quality meats and fair prices! Hard to find good tex mex and SMOKT is the place! We were really impressed

Came in today for an impromptu lunch got their brisket poutine and oh my was it soo good. The brisket was so juicy and just fell apart in my mouth. Such amazing flavour one very satisfied customer

Great experience with this place. Owner was awesome, and the menu obviously was written by someone with extensive knowledge of food. I was raised in southern Texas and we got the platter to try it all out and everything was VERY good, especially the brisket and macaroni and cheese and dirty rice and potatoes. Lovely all around and will absolutely be back.

Overpriced and poor quality.
Order the poutine it's crinkle cut fries and mozzarella. Save your money and avoid this place because honestly your children could probably make a better meal.

This guy Yeld at me he told me that he spent 100k in this business a log white guy. Just because I asked if the food was done already. He yeld that to me. Not recommend, service bad, food was more or less.

Late review but can’t stop thinking about this spot. It’s a true definition of a hole in the wall gem. While it’s a small menu of Tex-Mex, what they have is really, really good. I’d recommend the Birria tacos from here that are second to none. Honestly one of the few places in Calgary that makes it the way I’m used to and the way I like it. The service is quick and courteous. If you’re around Bowness, you should definitely try this

Conveniently located next to Bow Cannabis, this restaurant named Munchies features a burger called the Wake'N'Bacon. Is there a connection? Well, I tried it today and it did not disappoint. New to Bowness, I've heard people rave about Angels burgers. Nope. Munchies burgers are way better! Glad I tried it.

I had the taco combo with each type of meat (chicken, pork and beef) with the tots. The sour cream and pico de gallo were awesome with the consomme. The chicken was surprisingly most and the agenda crispy. Glad to have found this little gem in Bowness.

Great food, cool staff. Small counter to eat at facing the window in Bowness. Good for a quick light meal.

My kids have wanted to order MrBeast Burger. I was able to see Munchies was the place that makes it. I called to figure out the ingredients because I have a son with a severe egg allergy. The owner gave me the information and accommodated my son. He took very good care of us and even separated my sons order from ours.so there wouldn't be any cross-contamination. This is a big deal when the allergy could send you to the hospital.
The kids loved the food! My Wife and I ordered burgers off of the menu and were pleased by the taste of the food. We will definitely order from them again.
Customer service goes a long way to a pleasant experience and the owner went above and beyond!

For anybody thinking 3 tacos is the only option, beware, they pack a punch, super crunchy. Heaps of meat yet flavourful. They are a great change of fast food for those looking for something different. Great service. Thank you

VERY authentic tacos to Zihuatanejo, Mexico region. Tender shredded meat packed in with cheese and dips on the side for a filling experience. Many times returning customer!
Finally someone who does DIFFERENT delicious tacos and burgers are massive and dope too!

My son grabbed me a meatball sub for dinner. Loved how they broke down the meatballs, seems silly but I love how it tastes. Wish they'd have used mozzarella as their menu states but I got parmesan. Not a huge deal but im not a fan of it. They may have ran out of mozzarella and substituted which is their choice. All around I enjoyed it

Came to try the Birria tacos and the burgers. Overall the food was good, fresh and you can tell thought was put into the flavors. But, if you're looking for authentic Birria this int the spot. The beef is tender but its flavored with an almost bbq sauce with no taste of any Mexican chillies. Also, the tacos doesn't come with cilantro and onions. The tacos come with cheese automatically without the tell that they are quesa birria tacos. The burgers are good though, i'd come here to try their interesting burger menu but not the tacos.

So happy to find this little joint! Thought it could be a nice place to grab something as I walked by and ended up being so pleasantly surprised with how delicious the tacos were! I got the 3 pack with 1 of each flavour and they all were so good! Will be telling everyone about this place!

I got the regular burger with cheese and bacon. The bun was fresh, the bacon was crispy, the meat and cheese were very good, and the other toppings were generous and fresh. It took like 3 minutes for them to make it. Will definitely be trying more things on the menu!

Just had their Flamethrower. I think it's the best burger I ever had, and I'm nearly 80. Just delicious.

I ordered a Flamethrower burger with a premium combo of fries and a can of pop. The proportions of the "premium fries" is bonkers and should be changed. The burger was thin and was just stuffed with toppings. The burger tasted ok but it was masked with all the sauce and toppings, Overall for the price I do not believe it is not fair. For them to make it a 4 star they either need to change their pricing or up their proportions.

The taco was mushy and soggy, the tater tots were cold and floppy. The hamburger was a great big sloppy mess that my husband had one bite of of the hamburger and said it was absolutely disgusting.
Again we try and support local businesses but we have a difficult time doing this when the food is like this.
Sorry guys no good review from us maybe it's better if you eat in I don't know but we won't be recommending you as a new Bowness restaurant.

I appreciate your quick response, and your attempt at witty humor and yes I am capable of eating any place else. I did however choose to eat there because of the reviews. As I said in my review maybe eating in is the best choice because my taco was not crunchy. At this point there would be no point in taking a picture because of course it looks soggy now is how many hours later.
I am not in a able to come except my refund right this minute as I work a very early morning shift. I would however be willing to come in and speak to you tomorrow after work say 3: 00 if that works for you.

Went in for the first time and got a chicken burger, was delicious and had great service. Definitely coming back to this place.

Amazing! Husband had the burger and I got the beef tacos - both were exactly what you want them to be! Generous portions, reasonable prices, incredible and authentic food. This place is dangerous!

Had the pleasure of meeting the chef and the owner, great pair of guys! The food is awesome! Ordered a few different things on the menu and have not been disappointed. Even asked for them to cater 35 staff at my work and they delivered! All the staff super happy with the food. Definitely recommend.

Burger AND taco joint in the heart of Bowness? Yes, please! Brioche burger buns and a hand made patty of chuck, brisket, and aged prime rib. Taco's have that right crunch when they come off the grill. Welcome to the strip, Munchies! Work lunch just go a whooooole lot better.

Had the birria tacos as a combo set. We were supposed to get fries and onion rings, but didn't receive either. The tacos themselves were pretty good, but there's a lack of everything in the box that we got. There was only a spoon of sour cream on the corner. No salsa or lime or anything else. The tacos would really taste amazing if some consumme was included but none of that. Just simply got 3 tacos and a slab of sour cream. Overall lackluster, and pretty bummed to not get our sides that we paid for.

My husband got a beef burger and fries and I got the chicken tacos. Everything was SOO GOOD! We can't wait to come back and try more ASAP. Highly recommend!

If you had a long day at work and you just want to relax and have mouth watering burger. You have to go to Munchies. I had their Dirty Bird Burger and it was amazing. I will be getting another one and telling everyone I know to check this place out. Support Local!

Went to see what all the hype was all about on Bowness Rd. Tried the burger and and my buddy had the tacos. Friendly service, great grub!

Bob’s Burgers in Bowness! The Notorious P. I. G.burger is enormous and delicious. Great food and great prices. My wife says I can get food here once a week. I might try to eat more in secret (don’t tell my wife).
