I absolutely % love the Muttart Conservatory and everything in it!
BUT I was totally sickened to see this year's "PLASTIC" Christmas tree! Unbearable to look at and shame to the magnificence of the Pyramids! I believe we could do better!

Loved the place and their collection of plants fro various regions. They have specifically maintained those from various regions according to their suitable climate conditions and temperature. Would have loved to walk by the pyramids at night from the outside, unfortunately couldn't find a path. Overall a great place to explore plants from various regions and truly a botanical paradise. Their Christmas festive offering is a treat to watch

Incredible, especially in the winter. In the summer of 23 they even have a really cool Lego exhibit.

A beautiful botanical treasure in Edmonton's River Valley. There are 4 pyramids: 3 cover different climate zones and showcase plants from each area, the 4th is a feature pyramid, which happens to be Lego right now.
I hadn't been to the Muttart in many years, and was pleasantly surprised at the renovated interior. You walk in through a beautifully planted outdoor courtyard, and into the lobby. There is a gift shop on one side and the cafe on the other. We were too full from brunch to sample the cafe's offerings, but they had a nice selection of treats. There is an indoor and outdoor seating area for the cafe.
Once you pay, you walk through an area that sells indoor plants and then there's a central area that connects the 4 pyramids. There are comfortable couches for sitting and relaxing as well as washrooms and a water fountain. There are beautiful plants all throughout this space.
Each pyramid is thoughtfully planted with a variety of interesting plants. The paths are laid out in a way that makes the space seem bigger. Some of the pyramids are quite hot, so if going in the summer, be aware if you are sensitive to heat.
Overall, it took us about an hour to leisurely stroll through the 4 pyramids and sit and rest for a few minutes. It was a nice place to go if you like plants.
It's a bit pricey at almost $15/adult when you include GST, but fun if you're looking to do something different.
We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was quite busy.

Beautiful indoor gardens with a different theme in each pyramid, and some unique plants to discover. Nicely maintained grounds as well. The staff is friendly, there is parking, and it is located close to a bus stop. This was a calm place to visit.

Amazing greenhouse with Tropical, Temperate, Arid zones as well as a feature zone that's full of seasonal flowers. It is well worth the price of admission.

Just as cool as it was when I was a kid and we went there on field trips. I loved it and my kids loved it so much they didn’t want to leave.

Beautiful as always. The plants look great, the staff are friendly, and visitors respectful of each other's spaces. It's always a pleasure to visit!

I always enjoy my time here. It's very peaceful great place to stretch your legs across the four gardens and decompress, need a break from today's stress? Stopping here will do your mind some good.

4 different climate pyramids connected at a central hub with restaurant & gift store! They’re all great- my favourite is the Tropical Rain Forest & the feature pyramid which has an Asia flair celebrating the year of the Tiger! Well worth admission. Free kids art classes too with admission on certain days.

One of the must visit if you are visiting Edmonton. It's a beautiful place. My favourite is Feature pyramid. You can't take yourself out of that place.

Amazing facility and staff! Plants are cool too if you're into that sort of thing. Which you should be.

My husband and I did our wedding photos here and it was incredible! The staff were amazing and so helpful. Edith was especially helpful with everything from helping me to book and showing us around on the day of. This made our day so special. Thank you so much to the staff at the muttart!

Loved all the plants! Would stay for days if possible. Need more plants to buy in my opinion. With all the ones you can see you would think more plant selection to buy would be an option.

After being closed for what seemed forever, they are open again. Such a lovely place to get away from the craziness of life and relax!

Beautiful place, I had a great time while I was there. I would recommend that everyone who visits Edmonton to go to this place
25 February 2022 7:36
I love seeing beautiful plants in the middle of winter. And the feature pyramid keeps it interesting!
13 February 2022 15:27
Because of this place, I thought that Egypt stole the pyramids from us… But it is such a beautiful place, the glass on the pyramids, the flowers, the scenery, EVERYTHING about it is great. Loved this place ever since I was little, and I’ve only gone there once in my life! Love the Muttart Conservatory

Overall, 5/5?

A cool place to check out in the city. Nice way to spend an hour or two. But fairly expensive. Overall good experience.

Great place to go as a family with young kids. We have a 2 and 5 year old, they love running around looking at stuff, and there is a spot in the middle of the pyramids inside that you can sit down and eat food that you buy at Culinas restaurant in there or you are allowed to bring food from home to eat if you want, which we do.

Annual family pass is around $150 so if you go with 2 adults and a kid or two it pays for itself in 4 or 5 visits, which is easy to do in a year esp since they change the feature pyramid so often

Always a beautiful experience with a lot of reviews to tell why. But here's three off-beat things of interest I found on my last visit.
1) If you look close enough you'll find some interesting and highly poisonous plants such as Hellibore.
2) The staff take banana tree cuttings to the nearby zoo for the Elephant to enjoy.
3) You can walk up on the "rooftop" of the pyramids which not only makes for an excellent photo backdrop but is also fun to look into from another perspective.

4 years ago I visited this place with friends. It was lovely. We saw kids planting seeds in small pots. Everywhere you look had leaves and dew. When riding your vehicle on the highway it's covered by nature to. Guess this is why it's one of Edmonton's biggest nature plants. The ladybugs and the butterflys are magnificent they make the place more comfortable. Totally recommend Muttart Conservatory.

Beautiful place to visit! Quick check in with vaccine cards and masks! Hand sanitizer in multiple locations. Cafe had delicious baked goods too!

Upon visiting the Muttart, I got pretty much everything I expected out of a conservatory. There was a wide range of different plants, from a wide range or different countries. Colorful flowers and leaves brighten up the place. A lot of the plants are very unique while some are familiar as well. There are different rooms to accommodate plants that require different climates. I found myself getting a little bit dizzy in some of these rooms from the powerful scents that a lot of the plants gave off. It was a new experience for me. Plants aside, this establishment also has a gift shop and a coffee shop as well. The coffee shop makes a really great cold brew.

The renovations are lovely. Would wish that they had a few more signs though as there are several plants that lived interesting but had no signage

I'm visiting from out of town, and the conservatory was one of my favourite parts of Edmonton. Walking through and photographing all four pyramids takes about half an hour, and I would recommend having breakfast at the Cafe there afterward. It's a peaceful and relaxing place to spend a Sunday morning. Not too far a walk from downtown either.

The place is nice, but one employee made us uncomfortable by following us every step we went. I humbly address the management to consider such inconvenience.
