Nails 2001

I’ve been going to Nails 2001 for a year now and they’ve always been incredible. My nails have never been healthier and I’ve never had one of my acrylic nails chip or lift while going to them. My nail tech has always been Lina and she’s amazing. I highly recommend Nails 2001.

I called to book an appointment and was directed to book online (no worries at all). The online booking system was easy, and I did appreciate that you could request what nail tech you would like. Came to my appointment a bit early. Ended up waiting about 15 minutes past my appointment, not too bad, and they did acknowledge me upon arrival. This is where it went a bit downhill for me. I started getting my nails done with my requested artist, but omg, the clients that come here, all they do is complain and treat these poor nail techs terribly. The nail techs were very clear about prices and confirmed multiple times if it was okay, and these 2 women just kept going off on them. I ended up having 3 different people work on my nails. The girl shaping I think was new as they were not filed very straight, and they came out a little thin. The last artist did an excellent paint job (black French tip, almond nails) but within 5 days the paint started to chip and my thumb no longer had the black on after about 1.5 weeks. To be fair, the 3rd girl may have noticed my nails weren't perfect and kept asking if I liked them, but I felt so bad for these girls I didn't want to complain. Besides the paint coming off and my one hand is not that straight my nails are still standing and no breaks after about 3 weeks (I do not care that the thumb is missing colour). The overall cost was $60ish for a fill which is reasonable. Long story short, the artists are, for the most part great, but for the people coming here, please treat them with respect. I unfortunately will not return as I was quite uncomfortable with the overall environment due to toxic behavior.

I have been coming to Nails 2001 for my nails since I have moved to Edmonton. They are friendly, do amazing work and have competitive prices. Their salon is clean and I am always happy with my results, no matter who does my nails. I recommend this salon to everyone:)

I have been going to nails 2001 since 2018 this is my second home, there is always friendly and welcoming smiles as soon as you walk in. They make coffee or whatever beverage you like, always checking in and making sure you are happy with each step, communicating prices effectively.

I will never go to another place. This place is apart of my monthly self care for life

Never coming back. I booked an appointment online the day before because their phone number was out of service. I came in and they had no idea about their online bookings and said I should've called. I told them I did. I was told to come back in 45 minutes. I came back in 45 minutes on the dot. I sat for another 20 minutes waiting. Finally sat down in the chair. The tech is sweating profusely. No disinfection or sanitization done. Used the same tools she just used on the client before. Cool it's fine, I could by pass that. She started prepping my nails with the drill and I told her she was burning my nails because she had it such a high setting and rushing the service. I kept telling her I was uncomfortable. She finished, I left. A few days later, I was opening a box and a nail completely snapped in half. I came back to get it fixed for free. I notice that ALL my nails and cuticles are red - DRILL BURNS. I go to get them taken off after their grown out elsewhere. My nails are so broken and damaged that there is no length and it has chipped and rippled into my actual live nail plate on some nails. I've never experienced such horrible work in my 10+ years of getting my nails done.

I walked in without an appointment understanding I may have to wait but they took me in and what great service! The manager was really nice and talkative and the girl that did my nails put so much detail into her work and pride! Will definetly go back

I would like to start by saying that Na is an amazing nail technician - best I have had in Edmonton! Not only did she ask me every step of the way whether I was still in approval of the shape, colour, and how much heat was coming off the high speed tools, but she stayed until after the salon closed to ensure I got the right colour for what I was imaging. She let me try 5-6 colours and even helped out until I found the perfect match to the ideal shade I wanted. Her mannerisms and positive attitude honestly made me my day. I cannot wait to go back to have her do my nails again. The salon itself is also very nicely decorated and hygienic. 10/10. Highly recommend!

Lina is very detailed with her work and she really makes sure that everything is perfectly shaped. She even did SO MUCH BETTER than the reference photo I showed her. She’s also so personable and she has a lot of regulars too which I am not surprised given that she’s so good!

Also this was done before May long weekend I just posted a review now. When I got there I was a bit early for the appointment but she’s on time when she started to work on my nails and she’s also on schedule when she’s done, so that’s great too.

The picture and video does not do it justice it was so much better in person the holographic glitter and specks are so eye catching! Well done Lina!
