NAMSKAR - Indian Restaurant in Calgary

It was great location with peaceful atmosphere. Great dishes in menu. But there’s less server

It was my first time there and it definitely won't be the last. From the atmosphere, with really nice music and nicely decorated, to the service (Sumir did a great job tending to us and going above and beyond), to the food which was delicious.
We were celebrating my wife's birthday and I just mentioned it without expecting anything really, but their staff sent us dessert and came singing with it.
It was an amazing experience and this is how you know when people enjoy what they do. I can't recommend this place enough.
There's parking at the back as well, which is nice cause the street can be tricky sometimes.

I appreciate a lot the services provided by the waiter, Sunni, and the owner. They were there to serve and tried to give you a good dining experience. Thanks a lot.

Amazing dining experience, we had Tikka Fish, Indian Salad, Kadhai Goat, Balti Lamb, Garlic Naan and Saffron Rice. No more room for dessert, will try next time.

A special mention must go to the Indian Salad on menu, priced at $11.95. It was unexpectedly simple, served as cold-cut veggies on a plate and spice on top as shown in the picture.

The Tikka Fish was the star of the evening, cooked to perfection with a soft, juicy interior.

I highly recommend this restaurant for its authentic and fresh and flavorful food.

Although the service was a bit slow, the wait was absolutely worth it.
The music and ambiance added greatly to the experience.

Only one small disappointment was the unavailability of the lunch buffet, but the dinner quality more than made up for it. I'm already planning my next visit.

A big thank you to the restaurant for maintaining such high standards. Definitely a 5-star experience.

We haven’t been to Namskars for a few years. It was better than we remembered! Our server was absolutely lovely, attentive but in our faces.
The food was delicious. We had a mix of meat dishes and vegan dishes.
Good value as well as delicious

While it was delicious, they forgot about my curry chicken order and rushed it. I'm quite sure this gave me food poisoning.

The food is great, very well prepared and you do not leave this place hungry. We found the cost to be very reasonable. For four adults under $125.00, but we didn't consume any alcoholic beverages.

Amazing food. Must try if u r looking for authentic and tasty Indian food. Run by lovely couple and Jaswinder is a very sweet lady. Didn’t know they have been awarded multiple times for best restaurant in Calgary. Tried butter chicken and it was the best I have had in Calgary. Keep it up!

I decided to visit Namaskar around 2pm. I ordered the lamb Biryani and a mango Lassi. Lamb Biryani was a excellent a little spicy- tender pieces of lamb. One of the best in the city my mouth was cooled down by a wonderful glass of mango Lassi. Service was great. Highly recommend this place. (Chine Makhan Singh)

Delicious food, great service. Sunil was attentive and authentic in his service, providing a dessert for my husband's birthday and some chia while we continued to chat after paying the bill. I would recommend the Baingan Patiala, a delicious spiced eggplant - highlighted as one of their specialities on the menu- it was a table favorite.

Menu is well marked with vegan (large selection), gluten free, and dairy. Parking can be found in the dedicated lot behind the building.

Good Indian restaurant in a convenient location. We always go to the North part of the town for more authentic Indian food. I'm really glad to find this place, food is good, price is reasonable, definitely will come again.

A coworker recommended coming here. We decided to come for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was wonderful. Sunil, the waiter, was amazing and very lovely. He was very attentive. The food was wonderful. Lamb Roganjosh and Mango Chicken was very good. The pakoras were very good as well!

Just the smell when you walk in the door is enough to make anyone ravenous. Delicious butter chicken and garlic naan, portions were appropriate. 3 dishes, naan, rice, and one Appy was enough for 3.

This place has a really nice, warm atmosphere. Nicely decorated. As soon as you walk in you can smell all the delicious food.
The service was excellent. They were quite busy on a Friday night and the server/manager were attentive and welcoming.
The presentation of the food is lovely and it tastes delicious! I ordered about 7 different dishes and they were all so well done. The chicken was so tender and well prepared.
I came here many years ago and regret not coming back sooner.

First time here for myself out of the group that went this evening. Service was friendly & very attentive. Food was delicious and they were honest about their recommendation for proportion to table - such as an order of rice would be enough between us all, and it was! As we also couldn't decide on the dessert or how many (there was a group of us sharing) they offered a few more on the house so we each had our own gulab jamun. It was very thoughtful and appreciated! Would recommend, will be telling friends, and will be coming back again:)

Actually I like Indian food, so we went to visit this restaurant for supper
There were not so many people so we could park there at the backyard
The staff were very friendly and helped with menu
The food was delicious and really energy

All of the food was delicious! We got the paneer pakora, dal makhani (so savoury and filling!), chicken tikka, lamb curry, shrimp vindaloo, rice and naan, and gulag jamun for dessert. We had lots of food for leftovers. Will definitely be back.

For instance, thanks Namskar - he understood + offered me a non-dairy tea from their kindness when I ordered a dairy drink accidentally. Would be convenient if paper napkin (s) were provided on table with utensils + red cotton dinner napkin. Paneer (Shahi tomato sauce dish) was 10/10. Saffron rice was unique. Butterless naan was really fresh. Perfect for me even as a hungry single patron. Namaste!
