Weve been waiting for 40mins only to find out they forgot to "send" our order. NEVER go to this restaurant if you dont want to be stressed

Ok so today was my frist time going to this place to eat & sad to say omg the worst the most nasty dirtiest food in the face of earth. The cook was so hairy long beard hair, sweaty dripping sweat well cooking, i paid $ 40 for a bowl of old rice with black avocado little pices of sours chicken that was not cooked fully. The place was super dirty and just a look at the cook says all. People must have no choice otherwise why would any one eat at this place. And there cutlery was so dirty yes it was in a bag but i swear it was not wash at all they just shoved in there. I asked for 2 piece of lime they brought 2 old pieces of lime with teeth mark on it. I was so disgusted i walked out with out even taking a bit of the food. I vomited at the door. Please people don't eat this food it is literally killing your inside. Horrible terrible disgusting nastiest food place on earth. The cook was dripping sweat with all that hair well flipped chicken. It faults like Indian street food.

Really good portuguese-style chicken, the sauces are actually hot (Mexican standards) and the chicken is cooked to perfection. The fries are delicious! Definitely worth a visit. Their garlic sauce is also very good. Service was great and there is plenty of room to sit.

The food is good. There is no real service as they show you where to sit, then you have to go to the counter to place your order, fill your own drink cup, and get your own cutlery And napkins (yet they expect a 15% tip on the credit card machine) then someone brings you your food.

Extra hot was amusingly tingly.

Hostess and staff overall have a terrible attitude, we were seated on a super small table for me being 5’8 and my husband being 6’7 and having our toddler wit us I asked if we could be nice to a table rather then the small round corner booth considering our legs were on top of eachother and my son was getting overwhelmed the hostess said no she can’t do that and walked away.my husband then out of spite ordered a lot of food to see if they would then move us to a bigger table realizing the food couldn’t fit nor could we … as the food came out and the table being full they then started putting sides on the booth seat next to my two year old.before I could even say anything my son knocked over my drink and I got up and moved ourselves to a different table … after being settled and calming my toddler the hostess and other staff kept whispering and laughing and giving dirty looks towards us. I eventually couldn’t even enjoy myself I we just packed up and left. Not to mention the cashier yelling at my husband because he pronounced somthing wrong and then after taking his order accusing him of jumping the line after the fact (he did not) customers around were even confused … anyway point is…. Skip out on this location they could careless to have you there anyway

Used to be our favourite place. But the last couple of times we’ve been let down. Last night we went with a few friends. 3 of us got our food (most of our food) while the other 2 waited at least 20 mins to get theirs. Even after going an asking twice. Im tired of paying a tip up front (3 orders from our table = 3 tips) expecting exceptional service only to be let down. I’m kinda done with it. We’ve been to Barcelo’s and found the food to be as good, service better and the atmosphere quieter.

Will never return in this location. Just see how the chicken were cooked. It’s not the same as before. Not worth going back. We just waste our money here!

The chicken was very dry and the mashed potatoes were SO salty it was inedible. What a disappointment since this is the only Nandos in Calgary. I think it was a Sunday night so it was very busy, but still very disappointed in not being able to enjoy the meal.

I work in Nandos in the UK so definitely had to pop in! Menu is totally different to the UK and as a vegan was more difficult to find the vegan friendly options but i worked it out, the food was really nice! Staff are not as friendly as the UK branches but wouldn't stop me returning

Good food and value for money. We tried the hottest peri peri sauce which was good. Not that spicy for us though as we are indian and tolerate much spicier food.

The food was good, but the customer service could be better! Either to ask for water or cutlery or take home box, there was quite a wait time (servers were not frequently passing by or stopping at the table after serving food to see if guests need anything else).

The customer service at this location is phenomenal. Nandos has incredible food, always, but the customer service is especially what will keep me coming back. The staff is so kind, the service is timely, the restaurant is clean, and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely continue to come back to this restaurant. Thank you for the wonderful dine in experience!

Nandos taking inflation to another level. A whole chicken is now $25. This place is a no for me as I can get a whole cooked chicken at save on or sobeys for $13. Absolute ridiculous to pay $25 for grilled chicken

The caucasian manager was so rude gave us very rud welcome and ask me step out to fight with him and threatened me to call the cops.worst manager he needs to fired

Had take out. Everything was good. Had the peri peri whole chicken, chicken wings and naughty natas.

Service is great. Food was great prior to COVID-19, the quality has seemed to slip a bit now. Some days it's great others it's just okay.

Not sure how they get away with being as rude as they are here. Need to have a better system for pickups and dining in. Have done both.

Food isn't that much costly. 4 people can eat here within 60 to 70 bucks. My favorite is chicken liver

Great food and friendly service. We were a bit disappointed not to have the freestyle sodas but it was still enjoyable. The plastic cutlery was kind of annoying; as my boyfriend said "do you know how Impossible it is to cut a chicken breast with a plastic knife". Thanks for the great meal though guys.

Probably the worse Nando's experience I've had and I've eaten at Nando's more times than I could count. Uber eats chicken wrap (stale wrap) and chicken bowl. The problem was the quality of chicken, both the pieces and the cooking. The chicken in both dishes was the small extra side piece from the breast. It was so overcooked it was dry and stringy. I had to spit bits of it out. They also didn't include cutlery like I asked for so couldn't really eat the salad bowl. Not sure what's going on at this store but just brutal quality from a world wide chain like Nando's.

There is no substitute for Nandos peri-peri chicken. Great taste!

That said, there’s been significant difference in the taste of the peri-peri sauce (extra sauce only). Are you guys cutting the sauce with lemon juice or something of the like? I grew up on Nandos in South Africa. The sauce was perfected decades ago.
This recent change somewhat marred an otherwise perfect experience.

Customer service was awful! I ordered for takeout but when I got home not a single peri peri sauce in the bag. I love their peri peri sauce and it’s one of the reasons why I order from Nandos at least once a month. I was so disappointed that I phoned the restaurant to complain and the person that answered the phone said “well sauces could be easily missed most especially on a dinner rush “

The service was extremely poor. I waited for someone to attend to me for way too long, and the staff weren’t busy or had people in front of them. Then, I finally approach one of them, since they wouldn’t ask me, she then gives me my order and wants a tip? Pure comedy!

I use to love this place, came weekly. Historically great food, service, and atmosphere. It has gone down hill since the pandemic, this is understandable. But now that the restrictions are lifted these guys have not bounced back.

Very rude customer service! What happened to the old crew! First time to visit the restaurant to dine in since the Covid. I was shocked by the huge difference in everything from food to the horrible waitress. We were there Saturday July 10 around 2: 30 pm. I really miss the old Nando’s. Will never go back, I used to recommend this restaurant to everyone! So sad this happens

I have been a customer of this place since 10 years, I always enjoyed the food here, except this time the customer service in front desk very rude (Jade)!
We were sitting outside. I went inside to take my food. When I opened it, I didn't see any forks, knives, or sauces. I entered again to take what I wanted and asked her. She said, "We can't offer more than 3 small boxes of hot sauce, and there are no knives or forks. It was very rude on me. "
After that I saw the manager in my way made an apology and brought us what we wanted but the food started to get cold and it frustrated us.
I'll never come back to here.

I ordered from doordash they giving like this is burn wings one of the half chicken is burn as well when i ate, they hide it inside I complained to doordash about this happened, because I don’t want to happened anyone, it should to take care the costumer make it sure the quality not the quantity, i love the chickens but the problem is not taking care of the product and the costumer. Once the costumer is disappointed we won’t coming back anymore, then i order 1 whole chicken and 10pcs of wings, but I already called to inform make sure my sauce is 6pcs and 3 vinegar, not following the request of the costumer. They give me only 3 little sauce and no vinegar, if there is no star can rate it, i won’t give any single star, the problem is you have to give the star before you can create what is your happening on your food. Not recommended to that.if you order online you have to take the picture and do review so can help someone who are fan of chicken.

I am a customer in Nandos for over seven years now.
Today I had a very different experience along with my friends.
The moment the food came to us I was telling my friends there’s something different today unlike the usual.
To start with, when I made my order they brought plastic utensils and asked me to take three bottles of Coke a plate of utensils and sauces in my bare hands take it to my and take it to my table and they claim this is because of Covid. Also, the sauces are pre-packed in a very small containers and like the usual where you go and you put some of the sauce in a small container and you take it to your table. This was also during Covid time.

I’ve ordered multiple things. Most of the orders were not with the same quality as they used to. The spicy olive was dry it doesn’t have any olive oil and barely have any taste of a sauce. I also ordered a whole chicken and it was extremely dry specially the breast. And that’s what I used to like particularly in Nandos is the quality of their chicken. It used to be moist and juicy and flavorful. This time It wasn’t. I also noticed that the liver, despite that it was flavorful, It was also dry. I have no complain over the hummus.

Unfortunately, I wanted to deliver those feedback to the manager. So, On my way out I ask one of the employee who is the manager. He answer I cannot disclose this information and I I asked him how can I deliver feedback, and after he insisted that I should tell him first I told him probably it’s a good idea to talk to a manager kid cell, he called the manager. I met with the manager who came to me with hand crossed On inflated chest and I told him I had some feedback if you want me to tell you on the side. So he said no it’s OK tell me while we’re standing in front of everybody. I started telling him how Nandos is one of my favorite restaurants and I’ve been a customer here for over seven years and today I had a very different experience and I was hoping he would listen. However, he cut me off nearly 7 times before I finished one minute of talking. He was angry for no clear reason. On my comment that somethings have changed he interrupted me that nothing has changed much. He refused to listen to any of my feedback unfortunately.

Overall, If Nandos used to be one of your favorite restaurants just remember it is not the same anymore, don’t go with the same expectations.

I got home to discover the whole chicken was burnt. Very Sad. I called twice, was told the manager will get back to me but unfortunately nobody called me…. Waste of money and time.

Good food and atmosphere. However the service was awful. Short girl with red hair named Victoria was absolutely atrocious. Laughed at us with her other coworker and told us “you only saved a dollar” very annoyed when we tried to change our order a bit. Not a smile, not a welcome. My girlfriend and I left feeling awful and embarrassed. Probably wouldn’t come back based on this experience even though we liked the food and spent over $50.00

I love nandos but because of covid19 I stop going for a while, I went there to pick up my order and when I got home I started to look my order and chicken was so small, my fries where much smaller then before and the price when up. I really like this chicken but in my opinion, is hard to hard to help the business like this.

Unfortunately we had a bad experience here. Food tasted good but the service was awful. The young girls at the front we rude, confused and lacked customers service. Understanding they were busy, we waited over an hour for our order and it still wasn't ready. When we asked, we were met with a frantic puzzled staff unable to tell us how long we needed to wait. Fortunately there was one manager that was able to get our stuff together and he is the only reason we are giving the 3 stars. Recommendation hire staff that can work under pressure and can think quick. Best of luck!

Update: it's May. Not resolved. Got an email from Nando's customer service asking if I made the order online or in the restaurant. Because the order number, the 31 emails in the string and nature of the complaint didn't identify it. I know it won't make a difference but I'm not going to order online from their website again. I'll use skip instead and let the pay slip instead of trying to be good to a company and not order through 3rd party.

I ordered online on Feb 26, and a few days later RBC let me know about a double charge. I contacted the restaurant and they told me they only charged me once and to wait for my actual statement. Well my actual statement is here, and you charged me twice. The manager told me to call my credit card company to contact Nando's finance department for a credit.

Great food, terrible manager.

I eat in this place quite a bit! This is my favorite restaurant to grab a bite. I visit this place at least once a month. The cooking is very tasty, the staff members are professional and the prices are affordable. I enjoy going in this restaurant to have a tasty dinner.

Fantastic place to have something when in a hurry. Their service is quick, prices are convenient, fantastic character. I highly recommend this place

The chicken is always delicious with a good range of sauce heat levels for every palate, and worth the wait as it's grilled fresh. Definitely pre-order if you're in a rush. The house salad was ok but not my favorite. Friendly service!

Food and service are always great. We've never had any bad experience here. Wish we lived closer so we could come more often.

Busy place, as expected. I went at about 9pm on a friday to pickup my takeout order. Service at the counter was very rushed, no cutlery was packed in takeout which isnt the first time that's happened.

Doesn't have French fries that's what they are famous for.

I heard alot of good thing about this place from friends. So I decided to go. The first time I went, the interior was very nice. But when we're seated, the table wasn't clean. The chicken here is alright for the price. The sides worth getting are the French fries every thing else isn't worth while. The staff their was great and helped me order. I would recommend this place for big groups.

Very good food. But the reason this doesnt get 5 stars is becuase I watched my plate be set off to the side and I had to go and ask a waiter if that was my food. Only then was I served. Again, amazing food.

Worst customer experience at this location. The manager isn’t friendly at all. Manager named Janice was very rude. I go up there with my husband and being a good life fitness member v always get the discount and she refused to give us discount today. It’s not about the discount. I would really not consider paying $2 extra but her approach was very bad. She escalated the incident and provided a very bad customer service. Plz train her on how to deal with customers in a polite manner. Also apart from that v had to wait for the food for so long and when the food was ready the guy cleaning the lobby picked up our food with his dirty hands. He didn’t even wash his hands before touching our plates and my husband noticed that and he brought our food from the preparation counter. Was very disappointed with the service today. I don’t expect this kind of service from such a renowned brand.

Visited around Christmas Time. As expected, there were a lot of people and staff encountered some technical difficulties with the cash register (had to calculate prices with thwir phones, write on the receipts). To my surprise, the team managed to get everyone AND service went as usual. Very efficient team. Always fresh and tender food.

Good food doesn't make up for a bad takeout experience. Food should be ready for the time agreed on for pickup, the staff shouldn't be starting the order when I come in to pick up. Plus the main greeter at the door kept asking me to sit on some very uncomfortable metal stools while waiting. The skip the dishes delivery people don't need to wait, why am I waiting 15+ minutes after my takeout time to get my order? On top of it there was no cutlery given for a takeout order (and not asked if I needed any).

Those days when you received lots of garlic bread at Nando’s are long gone! The last time we were there we got for a full pack just 5 pieces of bread! A bit DISAPPOINTED. The chicken is sometimes raw and this is not first time when is happening to us. Nando’s wake up

I love Nando’s chicken so much and the fries! But I wasn’t happy about their service. First person who helped us for our sits wasn’t happy when I requested to bring us to other table because it was too bright. He never checked if we are doing good and never smile to me the whole time we were there. Saw him checking the other table if they are doing good but he will passed us but just look at me and never smile. Second, when I was about to place my order, I was standing there for almost 5 minutes and I am the only customer that was waiting for someone to take my order. Couple of people saw me already standing and didn’t even bother saying, “Will be right with you shortly”. There was nothing like that.

I worked in a customer service too and I do not like it when someone doesn’t provide good customer service. You gotta give good customer service or else customer will remember how they get treated.

This was the second time we've been their, the first one was awesome but this one was completely vise versa. The floors were greasy, the washrooms are worst than any public ones and the table was sticky. The waitress was cleaning her nose with her bare hands. We ordered a lemon herb chicken for 4 and skewers. The chiken was the only reason that I went today or we could of bought any regular chicken from superstore. The skewers came in lemon and herb, but not the chicken, we figure that out after one bite. The waiter asked us if everything thing was good, we told him no. So he brought his manager, which told us that we should told her that from the begining when we saw the medium sign, which by the way wasn't that obvious and being that the skewers were lemon, since we started with them, fooled us that every thing else will be lemon too, but we were very wrong. So we received a sorry from the manage, as if it was our fault that they messed up. So we're extremely disapointed.

Our first time at Nando's was not a great experience or what we were expecting at all.
We went there to celebrate a birthday, the host took us to our table, he didn't ask if we had been there before or how their system for placing an order works. To start with, my chair had a broken leg, when I requested another chair because mine was broken, he pointed at the high chairs on the side of the wall. I had to go to get another chair from an empty table while placing the broken chair to the side so that nobody else could use it.
Then we had to figure out how their system works and lined up to place our order. We didn't noticed the tables had numbers and I had to go back to check the number on our table in order for someone to bring our food.
After over an hour of dinking around we finally got our food and kept reminding the server what we had ordered and what we were missing!
Not only that, but we all got sick from eating there!
Management: Instruct your staff to smile and greet the customers, to take them to their table and ask them if they had visited before and how to place an order. The staff at the counter is also very disorganized and if the line up gets too long, there should be another register open, waiting 30 minutes in line to order and another 30 minutes to be served is simply unacceptable.

Nando's food is pretty basic chicken and fries, but MAN is it tasty! I love peri peri fries, I can't eat enough. And the peri peri chicken is tasty too. I can't comment on their other food because it's the chicken and fries I get.

This location does not have someone to take your order. If you are eating in you get a table and then when you are ready you go to the cashier to order and pay. They then bring your food to your table when it's ready.

They have one of those new fancy pop machines with 100 flavours, and on the side table they have bottles of peri peri sauce in case you need more. They have lemon and lime slices, olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and a sink where you can wash your hands.

Nando's is definitely a casual place where you can get good chicken and fries.

Really enjoyed. Went there around 1: 30pm on a Sunday, fairly busy, had to wait for an opening to seat 4 adults and 2 kids. I believe it was around 2: 45ish it started to slow down a bit.
For ordering, once seated you get the menu and once you know what you want, you have to go to the register to order and pay. They'll give you a number stand for your table to take back.
Chicken was spot on. Different heat levels to order from to try out to see what's best suited for your taste buds for the chicken meal. Really liked the appetizer 'peri peri chippers' with the (perinaise?) dipping sauce it came with. Really was some good eating. Definitely would come back again. Cheers.

Smokey place for your body and clothes, they should do a glass barrier and some kind of vantelation to the dining place. We asked to open the door, they told us, flys will come in, ok then, have a fly screen. The food was little compared to Canadian restaurants but it was nice, we had to finish fast because of the smoke.

Had the Chicken Caesar wrap with Peri Peri fries and it was very good. The wrap was grilled very well and the fries could have been a bit warmer but they were still good. Also I had medium spice level and I usually don't mind eating spicy food but even this was a little too much for me so be warned.

Its one of the best chicken restaurant locally. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone craving for chicken. Prices are pretty decent.

Really good chicken.
That's the name of their game. If you love chicken and want to have a variety of chicken based dishes to choose from, this is the place to be. The sides are absolutely phenomenal too. My only gripe is that their hottest option wasn't hot enough for me, but that's obviously going to be different from person to person. Overall, really good chicken and a good place to spend time with good friends.

Food is good as always. I would give 5 star for food. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I’ve asked the Philipina lady (I believe she probably is supervisor as the way she dressed) I need to have a to go box for my leftover. She just told me to go get it by myself. Seriously? ! It is new for me. I just feel like I want to refund what I left for their tip. Don’t expect service from them, only eat yummy food and leave!

Nandos is such a great spot. The food is always super fresh and the staff fantastic. I love the idea of paying in advance as you will never be left uncomfortably waiting on a bill. The prices are great especially for the portions. They also offer delivery through skip which has always been perfect.

So you guys advertised $5 for appeteaser and drink. But when we asked your employee if the 10 wings were $5 and it was $5 for 5 wings. What bullsh*t is that? Bad advertising indeed. Not gonna come again.

OK food, but my boyfriend and I went there and the floor is like a skating rink from being so greasy. Makes you wonder about their cleanliness with the food prep, kitchen cleaning, etc.

The food is ok. It's only really good if you like the super spicy items. Service is not worth mentioning, this restaurant is more of a glorified fast food place than an actual restaurant.

Chicken is always full of flavor. Menu can get pricey for what you get. Always fun to try the whole array of Nando's sauces.

Best Chicken in town.l prefer take out tho, since the restaurant is open concept, it could get pretty noisy with the kitchen activities and customers
