New Horizon Mall

Had my drone repaired from Drone Dynamics they where straight forward and fair. They fixed me up.

It's a nice mall, didn't get that much success as crossiron mall. It has a unique shop setup which reminds me of Dragon mall in Dubai. Same style concept. Small and affordable shops for low budget shop owners. I think people should try this mall. Went for hair cut and this place was cool

Not many stores, and the stores that are there have odd hours. Great play center for kids. Lots of parking. Very clean.

Very different set up, don’t like it at all. All the stores look identical no character. Horrible place

A generous 4 stars, because I don't want to discourage people from checking this mall out (read on, it is worth visiting). Beautiful building worth seeing, cool concept, some niche shops or unique products, etc. Almost every shop is like a booth at a trade show or farmers market.they have a small reserved space to showcase their goods, and services, etc. The upper level also has a small food court which includes a (limited space seating) balcony with a view that might include the mountains or some horses grazing on a good day but otherwise vast albeit underwhelming on another day). There are plenty of friendly and deserving vendors dedicated to making this work BUT there are also ALOT of empty spaces AND not all vendors will be open when you might expect them to be. If you have small children, the amusement place on the upper level (escalators near the middle) looks amazing (small arcade, huge (understatement) climbing structure with ball pit, etc.and a second section that seems to be a large play town - great consideration for a birthday party?). But my boys are older so I have never used the amusement place. There is a "big box" store on the lower level (West side) that is full of a variety of things (felt a little like what Giant Tiger might be like in China to give it a little more context.to me anyway). I have not been to that store in a while but I recall it being interesting to check out and the prices weren't bad. The store map/directory is available online so you can see what shops are there before going and use it to navigate from one store to the next, making it much easier to find a specific vendor than just wandering (although that can be fun sometimes too).
A sidebar (speculative) regarding the cool concept of this mall that is struggling to succeed.too many vultures (money to spare but no interest in actually running a shop there) jumped on the model that enabled shop owners to own their space within a mall (not rent or lease) with a hope that they could simply rent or lease the space to prospective shop owners that might not want to buy (or afford to, etc.). Without them (so maybe vultures are not a fair term for all of them) perhaps the mall would not have been able to open its doors BUT so many empty spaces AND closed shops or unpredictable hours deter people from attending with any regulatory. PLEASE check it out to support those that are trying and see if there is something you like (at least once, if not more) and hopefully this mall will become more and more popular (driving further opportunity, etc.) and encouraging local entrepreneurs, resellers, and more.

I love this place, so many unique individual stalls. I wish it were more popular, so the place could really fill up! They have a large food court upstairs as well, it's a shame so many restaurants have closed due to low foot traffic. Hopefully sometime in the future they will get the foot traffic they need to flourish!

Definitely worth checking out, lots of unique shops to discover. If you haven't been before, I recommend getting a drink from Sips N Treats then wandering around to see all the other stores

This place has so much potential. Decent layout. The plant stores were really nice. A lot of vacancy and some store were closed on the Saturday we went. I really hope this place can be what it was supposed to be.

Fantastic place to check out. Unique shopping experience with allot of diversity. As soon as the mall gets more tenants, it will get a great place for all ages to visit and eat.

Great place to be! Has everything and is building up, and I personally think this place has potential to boom in business. Also the bubble tea they sell there upstairs is great!

Why they decided to build a mall RIGHT NEXT to CrossIron still confuses me. Still quite empty but the stores at are here have good potential. Would recommend to visit here for an Asian shopping experience

Covid has really hurt this new mall. The stores that are there have interesting products and services to offer. The problem is, a large portion of this mall is empty or have unfinished food stalls. There are a few business operating in the food court including a korean bubble tea place and chinese food also. The market downstairs is starting to pickup. You can get fresh cheese, ice cream, veg, bread etc. Go take a visit and support the businesses that are trying to make a living through a difficult time.

There was only about 6 stores, and most of them weren't even open.
It felt almost scary walking down completely empty isles.
I seriously would not recommend this mall.

What a beautiful mall! Bright and clean! Due to Covid-19, there are not too many stores open yet, however, it seems more and more stores will open in the future. I really enjoy buying fresh cucumbers at the farmers market, Asian kitchen goodies at Best Shop, and some unique clothes at fashion stores on the main floor!

Can I just say for the record that I absolutely love supporting small businesses in the city and this mall is just the way of doing so. There’s so many businesses and kind business owners there looking to help you find what you need. Due to COVID there aren’t as many stores open but I’ve been going here consistently because the prices beat those of Walmart and even Costco too depending on what you need. I can’t wait to see more small businesses open up at the New Horizon Mall!

Bright and clean. Huge food court. It will be great when all shop places are open. Great place for walking now. Love all the glass!

Worst idea of a layout, not any shops open, only good place is the Asian shop on the bottom level. I have no idea why they would even open a mall next to cross iron mills the only huge outlet mall in Calgary/Balzac/Airdrie, no idea how they make rent. More security then customers. Maybe a front.

Wide corridors, layed out in a city grid fashion, with lots of smaller stores (similar to a farmers market but not) mostly run by owner operators.
3 levels, lots of parking.
Some large retail spaces being built inside the perimeter.

It's ok not to bad of a mall but not great food is good but not too much selection. Store owners will follow you around to coax you into buying stuff even if you are just window shopping

A nice mall where you can find all sorts of neat items! And it's a great place for seniors (or anyone for that matter) to walk around and around during the winter months. Chinook and cross iron are obvs way too crowded for seniors to walk comfortably and get indoor exercise.

Businesses are usually closed, or you're accosted at the top of the escalator getting herded into a store with pressure sales tactics.

Empty.so many stores with nothing in them.good if you want some place to walk.but I did not like the lay out, had to walk up every aisle to see nothing.wouldn’t come back.waste of time.

Horrible lay out. No idea where the heck I'm going in that place. Literally all hallways look exactly the same. No idea if the store has anyone in it or vacant until you get right up to it.
Won't be visiting again any time soon.

It’s still fairly empty as of December 28th 2020.

Due to covid most of The stores are also closed therefore there’s even less places to check out.

There’s a lot of clothing shops, a couple of places to eat, and a few mobile shops.

Love the store "groovy handbag"
The handbags are all vegan, they carry the full line from ESPE! The owner is very helpful, never any pressure, she is knowledgeable on every handbag and many to choose from. Store is so clean and nicely laid out. The pricing is awesome all under $80.00! "Groovy handbag" is my go to store.
Go check her store out you will not be disappointed. South Entrance.

Not that I disliked it, there was nothing there! Nothing, it's empty and there is nothing at the food court. Very multi cultural, but still there was nothing! If you need a place to get some exercise in doors, go strolling through this mall, no line ups, no people. Had a Vietnamese restaurant and some others but really nothing there. Maybe they can use this for the homeless. Put it to use.

Honestly, it's my favorite mall in the Calgary area. There's bubble tea and sushi, and random stores. Many stores are empty and others are stocked so full of things that I have never seen before, it's always entertaining. There's no one in this mall. You could do cartwheels down the halls and no one would even notice.

This was my first rime there, it is quite bright not busy during these times. Has a selection of interesting shops and services.

Great location but most of the place is still empty, may be due to COVID. Most of the people don’t know the mall. One suggestion if they can have live music (popular singer/band) on any weekend and get advertised all over Calgary area i think people will visit and they will know about the mall.
