The line up was pretty long, but the wait time wasn’t too long as they have all of the staff working. Richard was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. And he was extremely detailed and give me and provided me every step.

This is one of the only registries in the city that has a lawyer onsite to notarize documents at a fair price. Finding parking was the only hassle, everything else went smoothly. Thank you Janet for all of your help!

If I could give zero or negative star, I would. My advice to you people out there is to stay clear of this registry. I went in to register for the affordability program and the person who worked on my file intentionally entered wrong information although I provided him with a hard copy of my information. He repeated the corrected information, but the data he entered were all wrong. This makes me believe he did it on purpose because he knows I will not be able to correct it. Now, I can't get the money, which would have helped me and my family tremendously. My advice: STAY CLEAR OF THIS LOCATION; GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Do not advice to take any road test here. My examinator was totally unprofessional and rude. Fisrt 10 min he stayed calm but then he kept on speeking all the time commenting and ordering what I have to do. He discussed my stile of drining over 20 min, some time even crying? My stile of driving has nothing to do with road rules. Did I overspeed -NO, Did I missed a STOP sign or Red line - NO, Did I fail to give the right of way - NO. Did I missed doing shoulder turns - NO. 99% of his comment were in the residencial area. It was Sundsay, nobody (no cars and pedestrian) at inteseptions. If I did not broke any rule, what was the reson to keep commenting and advising. I have 27 years of dring experiance. I lived in the USA and in Canada 10 years ago, so I know rules, specifics and culture differances. I took a few driving lessons in Calgary to make sure I had not missed any specific rules. I have been driving to the most of EUROPIAN countries. I drove over 40 000 in a year. I have not been in any car accidant since I stated driving in the age of 20 and I have not got any tickets and fines for the last 15 years. THESE ARE FACTS SHOWING MY SKILLS AND EXPERIANCE. Can anybody siriously think that after all this experiance a driver is not STILL able to drive safety and adjust my speed to the traffic? I would like to pay attantion that exsiminator has the right ONLY to assest drivers skills and noted down all mistakes and traffic violation. I am poining out to the fact he has no right to order drivers how fast or how slow or when he should cross an interseption or change its lines, he has no right for rude, disparaging and harasmet comments, he has no right to keep talking all the time distructing students from the road. He looked emoutionally unstable. Paying attantion to above facts I have doudts about his ability to assest studets driving skills. And the last thing about this regency. My test was scheduled for 12 p.m. On Sunday. I had a massage from registry office to arrive 30 minute prior to exam. At 11.30 and even at 11.55 registry was closed! They opened exactly at 12 pm. It took some time to pass trough all paper process needed to be completed before the exam. So we were behand our schedule. The examintor got nervous and were in hurry. Did I pay money for that sort of sevice provided? Overrall It had nothing to do with road test exam.

From personal experience and observation I found today July 5th 2022 and previous times the wait was not that long the staff are helpful and seem to care about the client's needs this is the third time since coming to Calgary that I have attended this location definetly a 4-5 star registry lots of tills so less waits

I just did my class 5 Non-GDL road test with Matt who was AMAZING. I was so nervous and Matt made me feel so calm that I could focus on my driving. After the road test he walked me through what I did and how I could correct my errors. He was so knowledgeable and professional. So impressed with New Urban. If you take a road test you want Matt. So impressed.

Was served by a lady named Todum, I don’t have words for how pleased I was with her. She was so polite, funny and professional. Explained absolutely everything - answered all of my silly questions and didn’t make me feel silly for asking them. I’d 100% recommend this place. It’s quick, staff are very friendly and know what they are doing.

Crazy long lineups, poor service, likely the long wait and lineups are because the service is slow and horrible. They seem to look for issues to slow a process down.

A nightmare! I went to this registry to fill the application for the Health Card and the agent didn't check the form despite that I asked her to do that because I'm a newcomer.
Guess what? Huge delay and when I checked they explained to me that I have to wait for 3 months to get things sorted and fixed due to mistake in the form. Even if I went back to there office to get some help, they weren't of a big concern.
I sincerely regret that I chose this registry for my application.

I am shocked at how unhelpful and unprofessional of an experience I received from a lady on the team with long earrings and short bangs. I know the registry does not depend on positive reviews to keep in business, however I would highly recommend in-depth training for staff like this.

If you make a slight error or correction on your bill of sale, and it is not in pristine condition, do not come here. I bought a vehicle and we only had 1 copy of the bill of sale, it was slightly marked up but still very legible. The people here are not like us humans, they are more like… robots. Went to another registry and it was accepted. Will not return.

The line was long but everyone was still polite and efficient at helping their customers. By the time I got to the front I was helped promptly by the sweetest woman. Not used to such pleasant service at a registry tbh.

Went to exchange my license and the worker messed up my birthdate. They told me I would have to come back in even though they literally have photo copies of my ids and I brought in 2 pieces of government issued Id with my accurate birthdate on them. I called to speak with a manager to sort out the issue and the manager didn’t want to deal with the issue and transferred me to an employee that said I have to come back in to fix their mistake with no reimbursement of any kind. Glad I have to spend two days of my time and gas money to go back. Definitely getting this sorted out at a different registry’s office. This one is unprofessional. Wouldn’t recommend unfortunately.

I have come to this registry 5 times now and not once have I ever had anything registered, then I will go to literally any other registry and they will register my vehicle I only come here because it’s the closest one to me but not once has it ever worked

The middle east young dude (early 20) at the first counter was super rude. I just walk out of your store today Sunday Nov 7 for your record.

I came here to do my mom ID as she just landed for her PR. Gave him her Confirmation of PR with custom officer signature on it, but he rejected to help us and stated we need to prove the bill with address on it. But the ADDRESS was stated on the PR landing document but he didn't even CHECK. This is ridiculous.

Don't waste your time here. Owner of this place should have fired him.

I came in yesterday after calling multiple registries and Alberta health and finally got a clear answer on what I need to do and what proper documentation I require. Thank you Garrett the supervisor and Mildred the Health Care Specialist manager! You guys finally gave me and my family clarity on what we need to cross everything over to Alberta. Cannot wait to come back and get everything done

Pretty quick if you come in when its not busy. Line gets long throughout the day so come early. They need more staff at front. There were way more than two booths but only two staff!

My partner and I went in to get him an ID card. He presented a number of identification including a birth certificate, utility bill and Alberta health card and we were turned away because he did not have “photo ID”. According to the Alberta website, an Alberta resident can get an ID with only a birth certificate and a piece of mail (which I have done before). The registry employee then searched around for a small piece of paper and told us to call the “Alberta Health Services ID Program”. This program is for homeless and at-risk residence of Alberta. While this program is great, we are not in need of this program and feel that the employee was discriminatory because we had bags as I just came from school and my partner had just come from work. When I asked why it didn’t say on the website that you NEEDED photo ID to get an Alberta ID card, she did not give us an answer and turned us away. (We both have obtained ID’s in the past without photo identification in the past.) We are incredibly disappointed with the close-mindedness of the employee, the inconsistency present online vs. In person, and the fact she didn’t ask any questions or seem interested in trying to help us.

Really horrible place. We came from other province and change to local driving licences. The officer can’t read the amendment of our lease agreement and forced us to contact lease agent to issue a new one over Saturday morning. And marriage is not a certificate that I and my wife are living together.

What a great registry office. I called and a real person answered, and he answered my very specific question, so I decided to head over there. Their service was fast and friendly and they solved my vehicle registration issue within minutes.

A wonderful young man Garrette got me and my new husband a Marriage Licence in October and got the opportunity to get him again today to get our marriage certificate. He asked if I was going to change my last name once I get the certificate and told me how to change it on all my Government cards.
He has gone beyond and is so nice and so very helpful and knowledgable.

New Urban Registry is a place to visit for all your needs. Staffs there are as concerned for you as much as you are to yourself.
There is a guy there Garrett Villeneuve, go to him he is the Best. I have not dealt with others so can’t comment.
Deal with him. He is the best, helpful, good guidance, patience and more eager to help & support.

I went in to register a new vehicle to this location for the first time and Kate Schumann helped me. She went above and beyond to ensure I obtained everything I needed to register the vehicle. I also watched her deal with other customers while waiting and I have honestly never seen such a patient and helpful person before. She knew how to answer everything and exactly what to do for every situation. I would go back to this registry and wait extra long just for her to help me again.

Incredibly fast service I was in and out within 5 mins they had all staff working to assist customers over the lunch break! I took the train from bow valley and walked 3 blocks from Kirby station and made it back faster than if I had gone to the registry in bow valley!

Renewed my licence here the other day and it was a seamless experience. Staff were professional.
They accept credit card as payment but they have a proportional fee depending on how much you are paying. For example: if your payment is $50 or less then the fee is $2 but its $3 if you are between $50-$100 and then it increases after that.

One word: Garrett. I've been dealing with an issue that has brought me in a few times now with no results and dealing with this gentleman was such a pleasent surprise after the first time I was in. The man before me couldn't figure something out so he literally got up from behind the desk and walked out to help him. His positive attitude, and willingness to go out of his way to help doesn't go unnoticed. He has such an entrepreneurial spirit and really owns what he is doing. If I could give more then 5 stars I would because he really is just that great. Keep doing what you do Garrett, you are bringing smiles to the faces of many Calgarians!

It's routine after a recent move to go change your address on your driver's licence and vehicle registration papers. I've moved so many times and going to the registry is typically humdrum but today's experience showed me that it can be different.

Maybe I was really fortunate to walk in when there was no line up, however the thing that stood out to me was that the counter clerk, Richard, explained what my options were with renewing my registration papers and its respective costs. I was a little surprised, thinking back to all the other registries I've dealt with in the past and only today was the first time I was informed I had options at different costs?

This really reflects the level of transparency and customer service of New Urban Registry. If I moved again, I would totally drive across the city to go here.

Thanks for making a usually boring task awesome.

Worst Registry I have ever been to, First, When i was about to get my Alberta ID, the staff made me bring me several documents after several time of going there as a proof for my Alberta Address, Second, I applied for my class 7 driving License and didn’t get my ID card after 2 month and when I came back from vacation, I had pay a charge of 22$, because no one told me that i had to come back if my ID had not been recievd within 21 days after applying, and NOW I just realized that they have miss spelled my FIRST name on my ID which means i have to re-apply and spend extra money for new ID, as a student, had the worst experience with them, my pther friend who also got his Alberta ID and took his knowledge test, has the same issues with them, THEY JUST MAKE YOU SPEND EXTRA MONEY because of the mistakes they make themselves like my FIRST NAME miss spelling on my ID. Instead of Mohadaseh, they put MohadaseSH, like putinga an extra S, God knows if they have made the same mistake on my Alberta ID before taking my driver’s knowledge test, like they literally just had to look at my passport and study permit, I seriously don’t know who could make such a mistake
Also, I went to renew my Alberta Health ID there and the staff gave me the wrong form. After two week they called me and told me to go there and fill the right form, Just couldn’t get any medical services because again, FOR STAFF MISTAKES

Despite encountering a registration renewal technical issue that resulted in my receiving a ticket, the customer service and management at New Urban Registry helped me by providing supporting documentation that allowed me to get the ticket dismissed in court. Super appreciative of them taking the time and helping me with the issue stemming from the glitch in their providers service. Thanks again!

The owner is very patient with my questions and the online staff is effective in processing my clients’ annual returns. The annual returns are all caught up and no more backlogs. Best of all, none of us needed to go down registry.

After having a poor experience at Mojo registry off macleod, came over here, in and out in less than 5 minutes, Customer service rep was to the point, got the work done and away you go. The way I like it. No messing around. Value each other time and no unnecessary questions just a great experience. Have definitely earned my future business.
