This is y go-to spot, best subs for an amazing price. If you’re not fond of spice just specify, either way they are one if best viet subs in the city ️️️️️
Worst viet sub place. They have the TINIEST subs and for a ridiculous price compared to other competitors. Their bread was so thin per the other review and so small. There was like nothing in the sub. At least if you increase the price, you should be more generous with how much you put in there. I walked out of there hungry for the same price of a subway, where subway actually gives you variety of toppings. On top of that, they wouldn’t let me pay using credit because apparently the transaction ‘wouldn’t go through. ’ Why lie? It’s clearly because you guys don’t want to pay for the service fee of a credit card. It’s part of owning a business hun. Never come here. There are way better Vietnamese sub places that don’t cheap out on the bread AND the toppings.
I just want to sing the praises of their salad rolls real quick ive had a lot of bad salad rolls in this city but theres have already been consistently great; they never fall apart, you can tell they just wrapped them because the meat is still warm, and it comes with a really good peanut sauce (with peanut pieces).
We usually come here for the bahn mi and it’s just ok. The bread has never tasted fresh here and it’s always so crumbly. The latest bahn mi I had today basically crumbled to nothing and completely fell apart, it was so so dry and stale. But the other ingredients in the sandwich are tasty. For me, the bread is key to a good sandwich and this wasn’t it.
A word of caution for those with any allergies: This business makes set menu items and they do not make any accommodations. They will also make no effort to give you any notice or caution.
I had the beef satay sub with specific notes for no fish or peanuts. Yes I do appreciate that fish or peanuts are often a feature of plenty of cuisine. If that was going to be an issue the business could have informed me and I would have moved on to some other item or business.
I was not properly notified that the business would not accommodate my allergy concern. Instead the business received my order with my request for no peanuts and no fish, and provided me with a sub with likely some peanuts or fish or both.
For what it's worth, the sub for the very few bites that I did take, did taste good. What reactions came afterwards was very unfortunate.
First time ordering from here and tried the lemongrass chicken sub as well as their vietnamese iced coffee both were great! Excited to try other sub flavours
Just ordered from here and it was amazing. Everything tasted great and had fantastic portion sizes (seriously, the pork buns were the size of my face!). Show stealer for me was for sure the wonton soup, which was hot and flavourful. Will definitely be coming back!
They changed up the inside! I like the new looks! Amazing feed as per usual. New faces behind the counter aswell. All good and fun changes while keeping the stunning atmosphere and taste. Teriyaki chicken > everything else
Nhon Hoa is a consistent, fresh and excellent choice for a quick bite. I have been eating here once a week since they first opened on Whyte Ave several years ago. Their sandwiches are one of the best value for lunch in the area. I would also like to recognize them for the variety of vegetarian options. Very friendly family-owned business.
Best Vietnamese Sub I’ve had in Edmonton. Everything is fresh and there is an amazing depth of flavour to the seasoning. Surprisingly filling but definitely not a full meal. I’d recommend getting a sub with some sort of side because the sub by itself will not cut it.
What can I say other then a great sub! Had the Chicken Satay combo with spring roles and a pop. Best meal I have ever eaten? Well no. But it was quite good and for $13.92 including a 15% tip. You are hard pressed to find a better value for the money meal in Edmonton outside of a chain fast food joint. But you get a much better and tastier meal here!
I had the bubble tea the first time and I came back a second time for the sandwiches and they didn’t miss, Holla at Darlene she knows what’s up, quix has spoken
Exceptional Bahn mi! Best value for money and taste. The ladies are also very pleasant. Here almost once a week. The bread is so good and it's always made quick and with care.
Was heading to Subway and remembered there was this place nearby. So glad I changed plans. The sandwich (chicken satay) was fresh and delicious. The bread absolutely gorgeous. Fresh and soft centre, crispy crust. Was made super fast and I was on my way inside 5 minutes.
My god this is good. The bread is so fresh and delicious and the meats are impeccable. I love the satay beef and the grilled pork. All the grilled ones cannot miss amongst anyone. If you're looking for something new that I also love, try the headcheese
