Live very close to NorthStar Ford.
Very convenient for servicing.
NEVER AGAIN!
Went there twice with a Brand New Truck as wheels were out of balance from purchase.
First time balancing was not done properly and NorthStar left the glue from the weights on the wheels.
Looked terrible on brand new rims.
Second time in they took it out for a drive and found that it was out of balance and rebalanced again.
They SCRAPPED OFF the glue from the old weights, looks like the used a screw driver.
SCRATCHING the brand new rims.
Also on the Ford App it showed 6 pound difference in Drivers Front tire.
Test and yes it was out 6 psi.
This was a very simple service and can’t see how they could screw it up not once but twice.
I should have listened to my friend that said he would never take it to NorthStar.
Lesson Learned!

So I brought my f150 in for a parasitic draw voltage test and was told it would be a flat fee of 239. I asked if they could also test my Audio control module and ensure it was not the cause of the issue because it had stopped turning on at the same time. I was advises this would be a second Flat fee of 239 UNLESS the radio was identified as the cause of the issue. Then it would only cost me one Flat Fee. On Friday, Jan 26 They booked my appointment for Monday jan 29. They asked if I would want a shuttle service I said yes please.

Monday comes they no longer have a shuttle service. 1.25 hours after leaving the vehicle with them they report there is a broken wire and three circuits that are energized and that more time was needed to troubleshoot why. And that now they would start charging 185/hr. I said no, the most I was informed was two flat fees for two diagnosis’s.

I get the truck back at 12noon. They say its fine to drive they only unplugged the audio control module and the parasitic voltage drain is gone. BUT NOW MY HEATER IS ON FULL BLAST AT FULL HEAT!

Ah, the broken wire, that was why my heater had stopped working. Called and discussed with service advisor Mark and Service Manager. They would like the truck back to they can do more damage, sorry I mean Diagnosis. I said “no, find out what the Red wire they broke off controls. ” In the mean time I push this wire back into the correct location and WOW my heater work just like when I dropped it off. YaY.

They offered a replacement wiring kit and I did repair myself because I refused to leave my vehicle alone with them. They refused to do the “complicated repair” while I was present in the vehicle.

They offered a replacement Audio control module for $1246, HaH HaH, i bought a used one from Allen and Sons for $200. Installed myself at the wrecker to test it and now my truck is 100% repaired for less than half of their “diagnosis” charges.

Never go here for a simple oil change by appointment as it means nothing and you'll end up waiting over 2 hours.

Smooth and stress free process. Taylor, Chris, Deanne and Felipe did an excellent job.
Great service from the start up to the end that i got my truck. They all are very helpful, knowleadgable and easy to deal with. Customer's Satisfaction 100% ️.

I bought a car from these people in 2017.

The salesperson lied to me about several features that weren't present.

The finance department also misrepresented several things and wound up sneaking in additional costs.

The service department is the worst yet. They've dented my car, scratched it, broken items inside, and failed to perform the maintenance as required.

I was talked into the FMPP, where they claimed it extended the full warranty out to six years. It didn't. When the brake line burst, it wasn't covered. The prepaid maintenance has a clock on it, and they won't do it if it's "too soon", even though the clock is expiring, so effectively, they're stealing your money.

They also don't even do the items that are covered under the plan, so be sure to double-check everything is done!

I will never buy from them again.

I am done bringing my vehicle to this shop for service.

About 6 months ago I went in to have a diesel fuel filter replaced. After the servicing when I drove my truck off the lot I didn't make it very far down Crowchild before my speed was throttled to 40km/h. I took it back, turns out the fuel filter was installed incorrectly.like really?

On this recent occasion, I took the truck in for an oil change, was told there was a leaking oil pan gasket, so I had it replaced. Upon driving the truck off the lot there is a loud valve tick noise, and the check engine light came on. I checked the oil, and though it was present, it was black - like it hadn't been changed at all.

I did not take the truck back this time. I am taking it to a reputable locally owned shop down the street.northstar's service is unreliable. So much so, that I don't want them to fix the mistake that they made.

Make sure you get a written quote for all work that will be completed before it is started when your vehicle is going in for service. You will walk out of there with a bill that is a lot higher than you expected if you do not. Always ask for an explanation why you need parts replaced as well, my service advisor did not know why my F350 needed balljoints replaced at 65000 km and took a day to get back to me.

Long story short. Took in for a system check (diagnostic) as it was a used vehicle I just wanted them to check error codes that my cheap scanner could not. The service performed was not that. I app paid for a basic service like looking at my taillights to see if they are working.basic basic stuff. I mentioned a rough idle "shooting the sh! T" with the service advisor while they booked me in. They took it as an opportunity to charge me an additional service. I signed the waiver. They pointed out two more spots for me to initial without explaining. Like most people I just did it not thinking. Anyway my $130 bill was $390 when I picked it up.

Worst service experience my wife and I have every had. No call backs, delays, no communication amongst themselves or to us until the last week. Simple job took months to complete. Will never come back here.

Terrible experience with Northstar Ford Crowfoot service department. Was sold very expensive parts that did not fix the problem that I complained about. Also, not all of the service I requested was performed so my truck is still not back to tiptop shape, and neither of the two problems that I sent it to the dealership for were resolved.

This was the most abysmal car purchase of my life. If dealt with a few dealerships in my life, this was by far the worst.

I bought a used vehicle that included a soft top. That was part of the reason I bought one from them and not someone else. After getting the 60 thousand dollar vehicle home, I notice a broken piece on the soft top. Messaged the guys assuming they would gladly help out there new customer, boy was I wrong.

Daniel Tait (sales manager) was outright rude with me and refused to help when he chose to finally reply. 0 customer service here. I wonder sometimes if the owner knows who he employs. I have the email conversation if anyone is interested.

I feel like they need to bring in someone to work on making their service department more efficient. Their service department doesn't seem to be able to handle the volume of customers.

It feels like every time I take my vehicle in, it takes 2 to 3 visits to get everything right, and I spend 30 to 45 minutes just waiting to check my vehicle in.

Although the dealership did not have what I wanted, Ian did a great job figuring out exactly what I wanted and didn't try to waste my time when he realized he didn't have anything for me. But that's ok. Ian did a great job understanding me and what I liked and wanted.

Lots of "Yes Sirs", but at the end of the day the service department is horrible. Suspect of replacing parts unnecessarily, suggesting charges for work that is covered by warranty, requesting customers check for parts availability with parts department before making service appointments (only to find out repair wasn't completed because part "needed to be order" (they in fact had 50 in stock per my discussion with the parts folks the day before), $400 + quoted to diagnose and replace TPMS, lack of Ford Dealer diagnostic and repair equipment. These guys go to great lengths to reach into your wallet as far as they can and provide subpar service at best. Won't go back.

Took my vehicle to this dealership, service was fine upon arriving. But all downhill from there, no follow up on my vehicle or the status of it. Just a text letting me know that the vehicle was ready and that the work was not covered under warranty which I should have been told before. But nope just that I was to pay an obscene amount on pick up. Will not be using this dealership again. They seem to have some shady practices. This is almost a matter I may escalate with AMVIC as I should have been told if any work was being completed that would be billable and not under my warranty for a brand new truck.
