Novia Mia Bridal Red Deer

My experience was awful. My bridal party and I were there for a booked appointment which only lasted about 10 minutes. Long enough to go over 1 rack of dresses and be informed that they did not have any dresses in my size because the previous owner did not keep much for plus size dresses in stock. I felt mortified. Thank goodness I had gone to 2 other dress fittings prior to this appointment, or I would have never put on another dress again.

Disappointing experience
the stylist I was given seemed awkward and uninterested in my appointment. I ended up purchasing a dress off the rack and was later told by my seamstress that both hooks on the back of the dress were broken. I had asked my stylist prior to signing paperwork if there was anything wrong with it and she did not mention anything.

The staff is so warm and inviting, 10/10 service and beautiful gowns! Cannot recommend them more!

I just picked up my dress today and am so excited- it is perfect! Ever since the initial try on appointment I have had the absolute best experience here! Lindsay and Lucy are both so amazing and kind. All of the dresses they picked for me to try on were gorgeous and were exactly what I had envisioned. I have went to a number of other bridal stores in Edmonton and nothing compared to the experience I had at Novia Mia. Definitely recommend booking an appointment here if you are searching for your dream dress. Thank you so much for making this once in a lifetime dress shopping so fun!

Wonderful experience! I booked a appt here last min and the ladies were wonderful! I ended up booking a VIP appt which was so much fun! One bridesmaid was about 40 min late for the appt and they were more than understanding with waiting. I almost said yes to the dress the first appointment! The dresses they have are so beautiful and such great quality. It came in a decent amount of time considering covid made everyone backed up. Such a wonderful unforgettable experience. HIGHLY recommend! I like that they are by appt only, makes the experience more personable.

Not a great experience at all. I paid for the VIP appointment so that my group and I had a special day but the only good thing that came from that was the champagne and gift. Such a waste of money. My group was told numerous times that they essentially did not have an opinion and I was told not to listen to them. My group was not being pushy, they were just giving their opinions and I welcomed them, but when I said this to the lady helping me I was told that it’s MY dress and not THEIRS. The dresses that I was being brought were not what I was looking for and when we showed the woman helping us pictures of a couple of dresses that I had tried on earlier at another store (one of which I ended up buying), she picked them apart and told us that they were not right. The whole time she just wanted to make a sale and she didn’t seem to care how she made it.

Several times when being helped into my dress I was told, quite rudely, to “suck it in, girl. ”

When my group would make a suggestion they were immediately shut down. At one point I had a dress on that I liked but ultimately decided that it didn’t fit into my wedding venue/theme. When I said as much, I was told “it’s not about the venue, it’s about the dress. ” I disagreed with this and was then asked if I wanted to see it in a more natural light. I agreed and went out to the main room to look at it. A bouquet was then shoved in my hands and a veil stuck in my hair and I was pretty much asked if I was saying “yes” to the dress. I was not.

We left my two hour paid appointment 45 minutes early with a bad taste in our mouths and went straight back to the store with the “not right” dresses and bought my dress there (where I had a much more comfortable and friendly experience).

My group and I felt like we were walking on eggshells the whole time we were there and like we were an inconvenience. If I could give a 0 rating I would.

Novia Mia gave me the best experience I could have asked for when wedding dress shopping. They took care of me through the whole experience and are so warm and welcoming. They truly made the experience stress free and so special. Lucy is a sweetheart who will put a huge smile on your face and Lindsey was so amazing as she helped me through trying on different dresses. Thank you for creating such a wonderful experience!

You have a beautiful selection of bridal gowns and staff are great. The exploding champagne is an extra perk

Shopping at Novia Mia with my 4 bridesmaids and my mom was truly the best experience. We got paired up with Lindsay who is the sweetest girl ever who asked me about my style and chose dresses she knew I would love. I felt so special having my own room to try dresses on and for the girls to sit and watch when I came out. Lindsay helped me get in the dresses and give me more information on the ones I loved and timelines. I ended up getting my wedding dress here on a day that Lindsay came in just for me on her day off. She really went above and beyond! I can't reccomend this place enough. Beautiful and affordable dresses in every style. So so happy:)

Novia Mia is a beautiful wedding dress shop with the most wonderful Manager, Lucy and Knowledgeable and fun staff member Lindsey who helped my daughter find her perfect wedding dress. The shop is beautifully decorated, with clean and comfortable guest change areas. They have a wonderful selection of bridal gowns and take the time to help the bride find that perfect dress.if you want that special experience shopping for your perfect dress, I would recommend Novia Mia above all others in the area. Said yes to the dress at Novia Mia this past weekend. Huge shout out to the blonde and the brit (Lindsay & Lucy). These ladies were complimenting from the start and really made me feel like a million bucks in every dress I tried on. What a gem this boutique is in the city. The selection, atmosphere, and of course the customer service was out of this world. I would recommend them to anyone! Thanks again girls, you are both the best in the biz!

Novia Mia was great! The atmosphere and the dresses were stunning! This was my last stop of the day! I started off trying on dresses similar to what I had previously tried on at other stores, but ended up finding one that was completely different!

Got my wedding dress here, the space itself is beautiful and the change rooms are set up great to view yourself and chat with your party. The only downside is they don't have a ton of dresses, but the ones they do have are really nice

I can’t say enough how great my experience at Novia Mia with Lucy was.

I came in downtrodden after being at two other bridal shops, I literally had a frustration cry on my way to Novia Mia. Lucy and Lindsay gave me a group hug and built me up before Lucy even started pulling dresses. The dresses they have at Novia Mia were beautiful and I didn’t try on a dress I didn’t like! The whole shop is also a wonderful atmosphere. Lucy was very accommodating with appointment times and making it the best experience possible. I haven’t found my dress yet but Lucy completely turned around my dress shopping experience and I can’t thank her enough!

Lucy is AMAZING! She is the best hype women and really listens to what you are looking for in a dress. She is the most welcoming and kind hearted woman! With her help I found the dress and felt great doing it!

I had an incredible experience at NoviaMia! The staff was amazing, made me feel so comfortable and made the experience incredibly enjoyable! They are experts at atmosphere and even with Covid restrictions they made me feel safe & cared for! THE BEST 10/10 recommend!

I chose Novia Mia as my first location to wedding dress shop due to the variety of dresses they posted on Instagram that really caught my eye.
When I booked I chose the VIP experience so we could have the studio to ourselves and so I could have four guests with me due to COVID restrictions on social distancing.
Jenna helped us and was absolutely wonderful. She asked what style of dress I was looking for and she knew the exact dress right away.
I did end up falling in love with the first dress I tried on which was the one she picked out from my list of things I wanted.
I did try on about 20 dresses afterwards just to be sure, Jenna and the other girls that were there made it honestly one of the most fun days I could of ever imagined. They were so wonderful and made dress shopping an amazing experience!
Afterwards they gave me a mini bottle of champagne, a cute bride hanger and a cute robe for getting ready on my big day.
I highly recommend shopping here due to excellent customer service and a variety of beautiful dresses to pick from!

Melissa was very professional and I had a really positive shopping experience. She helped me find a dress that suited my personality, and style. She listened carefully to my feedback and I found a dress I absolutely love within my price range.

I drove in all the way from Calgary to try on wedding dresses with my daughter, mother and best friend.

I was super nervous as I just lost 90lbs. Jenna meet us at the door and was professional from the moment she said hello! She listen to what I was looking for and find the dresses I had on my phone. The minute I put on the second dress I start crying and she knew exactly what to say and it Did not make it awkward.

The store was super clean and they made all of us feel welcome. I left there feel like a million dollars and my dress is order for next year! Thank you for the gifts and i would recommend Jenna to anyone.

Highly recommend dress shopping at Novia Mia in Red Deer. Jenna did a great job assisting me throughout my appointment to find the perfect wedding dress. The change rooms are private and comfortable for you and your family/friends you bring with you. Overall a great experience:)
