I have had a couple of appointments at this clinic with Dr. Elkabir. I have been fortunate enough to get an appointment the same day. I find Dr. Elkabir to be very professional and extremely knowledgeable. I see an ENT in the city and have found Dr. Elkabir to be as up to date as my ENT surgeon in terms of treating sinus issues. He has provided to me a pharmaceutical regime that altered the course of my treatment for the better and I’m very grateful. He is down to earth and even asked me if I had coverage for the script. Normally physicians don’t bother to ask if you can afford the drug and write scripts that can often cost hundreds of dollars. In terms of the front staff, I have found them to be courteous and friendly.
I have read the reviews here. Dr. Elkabir is not here to be your best friend but to treat us with our ailments. I personally have found him to go above and beyond the call of duty.

Thankful to come here where I didn't have to wait very long compared to others. Dr. Nabil is very professional and assisted well

I found everyone in here very kind. They were quick and efficient and made me feel comfortable as I'm new in canada and was quite nervous seeing a new doctor. I've been a few times and the doctor is amazing. So patient and doesn't shrug you off. Great place!

Lack of care for walk in patients, rushed and dismissive

Edit: shame on this clinic for un-consenually disclosing their patient list online. Second, stop lying I have visited your clinic a small number of times and thus left my opinion of being disappointed in your services.

Suffering from asthma attacks due to wildfire smoke got in with the doctor which was fine however Dr prescribed an asthma inhaler that is not even covered by my health care insurance not willing to pay $120 for an asthma inhaler when I can get one that is fully covered by 100%. Went back the next day to see if the doctor could give me one that is covered however Dr was taking too long so I asked if doctor could fax over up new prescription to my pharmacist which I was told he could not do that I would need to discuss it in person with him I then asked if he could do it with me over the phone in which I was advised he could not do when I left the doctor's office I tried calling back three times in which they would not answer their phone finally they answered and I was advised they are not open on the weekends which is very unhelpful to me I am stuck without an asthma inhaler until at least the following week. Needless to say this is a major concern for someone like myself who cannot breathe properly suffering from a respiratory disease like asthma.

Our family has seen Dr. Elkabir several times as walk-ins and he has got to be one of the more common sense reasonable doctors I have met and dealt with. I work in healthcare and see wasted dollars and time a lot, but he knows when things are necessary and when they are not. I wish he would take us on as patients though, but happy to see him as well as a walk-in when we need it.

Had a great experience with Dr. Elkabir, he is great with children! He helped me as a walk in with my young daughter. Wonderful staff made the process very easy. Would highly recommend.

Don’t waste your time with this joke of a clinic. Went yesterday after feeling significantly sick for an extended amount of time. The Doctor dismissed me after about 30 seconds saying “you’re fine, take an Advil”.

Got a 2nd opinion today from an actual competent clinic and turns out I have a chest infection that I required a prescription for.

Dr. Elkabir went above and beyond for my son. He could have easily told us to go to the Children’s Hospital but instead he opened up his clinic and stitched up my son. My son was very anxious/nervous and under all that pressure and screaming Dr. Elkabir calmly and patiently a stitched up my son. He did amazing job! Thank you Dr. Elkabir we are truly grateful for you.

I’ve only had great experiences with this medical clinic. They offer flexible scheduling, supportive staff, and great medical advice/assistance.

Both the staff and Dr. Nabil are very helpful and caring. They're always accommodating and ensure great care for their patients. Although I go on a walk-in basis, I'm always treated like an established patient.

Had a cold and flu went for a check, Dr spent a minute and gave the same basic sphew about drink fluids and rest. I was still concerned went to another doctor and he figured I was dealing with a sinus infection.

The most dismissive medical appointment I have ever experienced to the point it was unprofessional. Extremely rushed, I was there for less then five minutes and he walked out while I was talking.

Do not go here!

Dr Elkabir was helpful and attentive in helping us with an urgent issue. We were seen right away, and given great care.

I was appalled at the lack of care or professionalism from this clinics doctor E. He talked down to us from the start, he made the patient feel as if they were not in the room, nonexistent and rushed. Family accompanied the patient and were ridiculed and criticized when asking questions. Afterwards patient and family felt as though they were in trouble…not exactly a helpful or deescalating approach. If anyone is looking for compassionate care go elsewhere, The experience was deeply troubling. I find it disturbing the owner comments the concerns patients have on the reviews both medical or otherwise. This seems unfair as we ourselves are not asking for reviews simply telling others of our own experience. The nurses were kind but the male doctor will leave a negative impact on patient.

0 stars. This clinic is not a walk-in clinic. They take appointments. They need to remove the "walk-in" from the clinic name.

Had a great first experience with Dr. Elkabir. He was very receptive and listened to all our concerns. Felt like he really cared. Answered all of our questions. Would absolutely return!

I have had many negative experiences with walk-in clinics but this place was wonderful. Dr. Nabil Elkabir is kind, informative, and efficient.

I would definitely give a 5 star for the staff. But 1 star to the doctor. The doctor is very rude and follows a rushed approach. This is the 2nd time I had the same experience. I went there because my family doctor’s appointment was after 2 weeks. I will definitely not recommend the doctor at all.

Edit for the reply to the doctor: The doctor was rushed and rude. He just said my pains are imaginary which is not. I requested him to prescribe a test only to confirm the situation, and he was too proudy to even listen to my request. This is not the first time, this is the second time. The first time also I received such bad treatment from the doctor and I thought to give it a second chance. But I am so so so much dissapointed. Also, trust me on this, we come to doctor at the time of need when absolutely necessery, and this is definitely not sathe way doctor should behave.

I have been a patient of Dr. Nabil Elkabir of Nuwest Meducal Centre for about 11yrs. I am completely happy with the service I have received and would wholeheartedly recommend this Centre to anyone looking for fast and efficient medical service.

Rolled my ankle badly last night and they were able to accommodate me right away this morning to send me for a X-Ray. Fast and hassle free!

I've been a patient of Dr. Elkabir for many years and have found him to be quite receptive to my concerns. He didn't hesitate to arrange referrals with specialists to meet my needs and he continues to offer options on how best to deal with various ailments. His staff is polite and professional with very little waiting time. To date, his medical advice has benefited me greatly and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a physician.

I needed to visit a walk-in in the beltline / downtown. What's great about this walk-in is that you can book appointments online or by phone! So convenient.
The front desk staff / nurses are excellent and the Doctor I saw was good too.

We’ve been going here for over 10 years. The staff are incredibly friendly and the doctor is very thorough. Appointments are easy to get - usually that day or even the next day if needed, and rarely do u have to wait long In the waiting room.

Very quick getting in and out. Awesome website where you can book online. Dr Elkabir was very efficient, thorough and informative. He told me what he thought ailed me and explained why. The reception staff were friendly and also quick. Overall very good experience at this walk-in!

The clinic is clean and tide, the appointments schedule is really accurate, the assistance staff is professional and kind, what is more important Dr. Alkabir is very knwoledgeable, skillfull and experienced.

One of the best part of going to Nuwest Clinic is the awesome costumer service I always get from the lovely receptionists at the front desk, they are always going to try to provide what is best for you and what best fits on your schedule. They are extremely empathetic and friendly.

I only have wonderful things to say about Dr. Elkabir and his amazing staff, specially Joyce! This week, I was treated with so much kindness, empathy and extra care when I needed it the most, dealing with horrible ear pain. Thanks Dr.and thanks Joyce!

Dr. Elkabir has always been incredible! He explains things clearly and actually listens when you discuss things with him. He's not afraid to provide you in-depth details and doesn't talk down to you.

Dr Elkabir is outstanding. Not only is he an expert in his field, but shows empathy and concern for his patients. I cannot stress enough how confident we are that we are getting the best, most educated and humane advice possible.

Dr. Elkabir and his team are incredible. In our situation, it isn't always easy to see our family doctor as he is close to retirement so my family and I always feel taken care of from the moment we enter the Nuwest Medical clinic. The doctor wasn't prepared at all.i send them my health records a week ago and he didn't know anything about.
The doctor was rude at some point. He was aggressive and seems that he is in rush, Even though there was nobody there.

They took me the same day (like 15min after my online booking), receptionists were sweet and Dr Elkabir was very nice and professional. I couldn't recommend it more.

1 star is too much for Dr. Elkabir. He was rude, and arrogant. Horrible horrible experience. This is the first time and the last time. Someone has to qualified as a medical practice.

Dr. Elkabir is always professional, extremely knowledgeable, calm, and listens carefully to our concerns. He has been treating me, my husband and our two children for years, and it's always been a positive experience every single time. He's efficient and we never wait long to get seen. I received excellent pre-natal care as well before he referred me to my OBGYN in the later stages of my pregnancy. The clinic is new and clean, parking is street parking but never an issue to find a spot, and you can always get same day appointments (either booking online or by phone, both very easy). I don't know what else you could ask for in a doctor or clinic experience!
