As someone with dental anxiety, I was worried about making a change to a new dentist but felt like my previous dentist was not as thorough as needed, and they were also not in close proximity.
Unfortunately my fears were confirmed and I needed some cavity work done. The first appt the hygienist and dentist were very accommodating to my fear, and were patient and kind. Everything was explained clearly and I left feeling like I made the right change.
When I came back for my fillings Dr Porter again, was very patient with me. She knew when I needed to go into my own space to calm myself, and she would stop and check in on me.

I can’t say I love the dentist, but I can say I’m happy with my change to this clinic and Dr Porter.

All of the doctors and staff that I dealt with were super friendly and helpful. Amazing office, will definitely be referring family and friends to them!

Switched from a dentist in the NW of Calgary to Okotoks Dental, and had an absolute fabulous experience. The front staff are wonderful humans that make your visit light, and enjoyable, and the space is clean, and beautiful.

Dr. Comfort and Dr. Brandon are both great dentists, making sure you’re fully aware of what’s happening as well. They’re patient, informative & ease the anxiety one may have.

I’ve also liked all the hygienists and assistants as well, everyone is so helpful.

I feel like I am here a lot between my 4 kids and myself. Everytime is a great experience. The staff are amazing and so caring.
I recently had a crown done and I was nervous about it. But they all made me feel 'comfort'able and made sure it was perfect before I left.

Love going to the dentist? The whole team at Okotoks Dental is professional and make the visits as comfortable as possible.

I am a new patient at this clinic and I have been very impressed with the 2 experiences I've had there so far. Probably my best dental experiences to date.
I first had a cleaning and checkup and the hygienist was so kind and made me feel comfortable. Dr Porter came in to discuss my teeth and she was very thorough in her explanations about why to proceed in a certain way and the pros and cons.
I later had a number of fillings and I told the dental assistant about some anxiety I had with a certain part of the procedure and she was so kind and accommodating to make sure I felt comfortable. Dr Porter was so quick to complete my fillings and explained things along the way. I have to go back for more work and I feel confident in the skills of Dr Porter and the staff at this office!

We have been very happy with our family visits to the dentist since coming to Okotoks Dental. They are excellent with kids! Friendly staff and good pricing that lines up with the fee guide. Thanks for such a great experience!

Okotoks Dental is the only dental experience my kids know. I am grateful that their childhood experience over the past decade has resulted in a healthy mouth and zero fear of “going to the dentist”. The staff go above and beyond to create a comfortable, caring visit…and they make it easy for me to remember my appointments. Today, my newly 11 year old daughter walked back to the waiting room beaming with a bouquet of birthday flowers! I’ve been going to Okotoks Dental for just over 2.5 years, and have always had such a pleasant experience. The hygienists are very friendly, always make sure to let you know what they’re doing next and talk you through the process. I have always felt like they genuinely care about my life and engaging with me and don’t try to rush through to get the job done.

This is by far the best dental practice I’ve ever been to, and all of my children agree also. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a new dentist to go there.

I am so happy we made the switch to this clinic. Everyone from the lovely team at the front to the Doctors are so welcoming and friendly, as a new patient I felt like I had been going there for years. Bonus that we can do Invisalign and not have to leave to an ortho office for my son.

Great experience as new clients brought my 11yr old there. The hygienist name was tanen I believe and the dentist was shayla they made my son feel very comfortable and he loved it afterwards was in such a good mood highly recommend

Was in there for the first time March 2022 for root canal and cavity. Very impressed with their facility. Everyone is professionnel and really care about your experience in the dentist chair. Makes my old dentist look like a medieval torture specialist. I was terrified of dentist visits but after today I wonder why. Way to go team - - very impressed

I love this dentist - they do amazing work. It was Justin who did my fillings and overall my experience was great. My fillings are still perfect 3 years later and I grind my teeth when I’m sleeping. My past dentist left tiny holes in my teeth after fillings that bother me so much because I’m a little paranoid they will turn into a cavity later on. I ask the dentist to fix them whenever I notice them, but with these guys my fillings are so smooth. My only complaint is with the hygienist - I think her name was Casey. She was nice and helpful enough, but very rough. A couple times she made my gums bleed and I floss every time I brush with strong gums so that was annoying. I’ll be asking for a different hygienist next time.

Please don't let the fear of the Dentist stop you from making an appointment with Okotoks Dental! I was scared to death to go and put off my visit for far to long, and subsequently by the time I did make an appointment my dental issues were far bigger then they should have been. Dr Brandon and his staff put me at ease, explained what was going on with my dental health and provided a course of action going forward. I am so happy that Okotoks Dental was recommended to me, and that I am now on the road to a healthy and happy dental plan going forward. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for your caring and compassion!

My boyfriend and I just moved from Calgary to Okotoks and set ourselves up here. After our first visit, we both agreed it was the best dental experience we have ever had. All staff we incredibly genuine and kind. The hygienist was amazing - so gentle and thorough (and quick!). We definitely made the right choice and look forward to our next visit!:)

I’m so grateful for Okotoks Dental and Dr. Comfort. They were able to do an emergency extraction for me the same day of consultation. This was after I went to another dentist in Okotoks, that referred me to an oral surgeon that wouldn’t be able to see me for 2 months. I was in so much pain and was so scared to get it done. I’ve had so many negative dental experiences in the past, but seeing Dr. Comfort and their team was honestly the best dental experience I’ve ever had. They were so nice to me, and I truly felt that they wanted to help me and do what was best for me. I’m a very anxious individual but they did an amazing job at helping me keep calm and informing me on everything they were doing. They also were able to provide me with price quotes before going ahead with anything which was super appreciated. They follow the dental fee guideline so there was no unexpected up charges either. I would 100% recommend Okotoks Dental and Dr. Comfort especially if you have dental anxiety. I appreciate what they did for me so much and will definitely be changing them to my regular dentist. At 73 years old, changing anything is often fraught with anxiety. Dentists have always equated anxiety, so this situation doubled down on my weakest points.
I LOVED EVERY MINUTE I SPENT MY FIRST VISIT AT OKOTOKS DENTAL.

Everyone at Okotoks Dental is interested in how a patient is doing. They take time to ask questions, and more importantly, they listen to what you say. That makes an amazing amount of difference in how I, personally, feel about going to a Dental office. I have always had serious fear of Dentists. I found this clinic incredibly up to date with procedures and billing practices. I would recommend this clinic to anyone without hesitation.

Unfortunately after many good experiences one has to cloud all of them. The most recent interaction I’ve had with Salyna was so unpleasant that I’ve decided to move myself and family to another dental office. I was treated with zero respect and basically made feel like I was in the wrong.

While trying to book a dental procedure my last visit before I left, I was told that someone would reach out to me to book in this visit before years end (2020). I never did hear back from anyone and go figure the issue I was having came back and needed to be fixed.

I called because I had an appointment coming up in two weeks, I stated that I needed that tooth repaired because I was getting the pain back again. I asked why I wasn’t called to have an appointment booked after my last visit, I was told that this wasn’t a common practice with this office. I was told that I should have called to book in. She also informed me that I would be charged an emergency exam fee for my tooth pain to be looked at again. I had to wait almost two weeks for this “emergency” to be looked at. To me if it’s already been looked at why am I being charged again, and why an emergency fee two weeks after my tooth pain. To me an emergency is like 1-2 day wait, not two weeks.

Salyna said it was a misunderstanding on my part and basically made me feel like my business wasn’t needed. She was rude, short, and very unprofessional.

When I decided to move I advised her of the change. The next text I got was asking if I’d be taking my entire family with me.well if you’re asking, yes I will. You obviously have plenty of clients and don’t need us. The text ends with “sounds good. Have a wonderful day”. Way to defuse the situation and provide excellent service Salyna! Time to brush up on some customer service skills.that’s my opinion, you make your own.

It’s pretty sad and I feel bad because I honestly enjoyed Dr. Justin Comfort. He’s a nice guy, he does great work, and he makes you feel like you’re at home. I find that the dentist can be very stressful and uncomfortable at times. I didn’t find that here, until this most recent visit. I don’t know if he is aware of what happened or how it was being handled. Maybe he will now?

And to put the cherry on top I just received another message from Salyna. “feel free to stop in or call with a credit card” I have a balance of $208.75. That’s ok, that’s a small price to pay so I don’t have to deal with her again.

My family has had a great experience at Okotoks Dental. We are moving away and it will be tough to find a dental team as good as these guys! Our four boys had really good experiences with Okotoks Dental. They are so friendly and thorough. The staff are awesome! I am currently pregnant with twins and they have given me two bouquets of flowers since finding out I am pregnant. Thank you Okotoks Dental!

We have a great experience every time we see Dr. Comfort and his staff. The place is very clean, staff are welcoming and friendly. Yesterday my 11 yr.old daughter had a few cavities too be done. Well the whole car ride home she talked my ear off about her experience! Dr. Comfort and his assistant (sorry can’t remember her name) spent as much time needed too talk her through each step. My daughter is quite inquisitive and they were so kind and patient too guide her though the process and answer her many questions. As a parent that means the world too know your child is in good hands and a safe place when dropped off for dental work especially! Thanks so much!

The staff here are amazing. I feared going to the dentist which I believe was Originally caused by the dental office that if I remember correctly was in the Zellers in forest lawn Calgary. All I can remember the unbearable pain and that stinking smell that drill made in the hands of someone I thought loved watching people in pain. Then leaving the chair walking through a waiting room stinking of cigarette smoke trying to find my mother who decided today was a good day to buy groceries. Then loading groceries in the car with my face puffed out and my Mom saying "See you won't listen, I told you eat too much candy. " Times have changed and this office is better than any child therapist. My fear of the dentist is still there and still very real. But the way the staff makes you feel is therapeutic the fear is reduced but still there. Walking out of the office I felt a feeling of relief and that wasn't bad at all. I love this place and booked 3 more appointments on my way out. It feels good to find a place like this these days.

As far as dentists go they're as comfortable as can be. I'm not a fan of dental work but they do really well to make it as easy as possible and are very friendly.

I moved to this clinic about a year ago and I am so happy I did. All the staff is amazing. During my last visit they went above and beyond ANY experience I have had. Thank you for treating your patients so well!

My little man (just turned 4) has many cavities, and when his first appointment to have them filled came around I was NERVOUS! He, was excited - and so I went with it. Dr. Brandon, and Delaney (sorry if the spelling is wrong on your name!) sensed that and joined right in, and therefore my little guy was very comfortable with the procedure (of course the laughing gas did help!), and even FELL ASLEEP! YES! He fell asleep in the chair, and we were able to do 4 fillings at once while we dreamed of Paw Patrol. I could not have asked for anything better than this experience, and will forever be in awe!

Of course we all enjoy getting a root canal as much as, well, getting a root canal right? I recently required this treatment and my family dentist of several years, Dr. Comfort performed the procedure. Consistent with our family's experience with Dr. Comfort and his staff, the professionalism, patience, efficiency and compassion was exemplary. I was put completely at ease by a thorough explanation of the procedure as well as regular checks on my comfort and well-being as it progressed. I also greatly appreciated the humour and confidence demonstrated which helped to keep me calm. I am so grateful to have such great dental caregivers for my family. Thank you Dr. Comfort and staff!
