Went to the paint desk looking for a specific product, rather than directing me to the shelf where I'd find it the man there told me they didn't have it or anything like it, and tried to sell me something different which I didn't need.

He then spent a bunch of time inquiring about specific details and trying to tell me why he thought my project wouldn't work, having clearly never done anything like it before. Then I walked around the store until I found the product and a bunch of things just like it, myself.
I guess the guy had something to prove but the whole experience was embarrassing for him and annoying for everyone involved. Super awesome use of my time, if you want to be condescended and have your time wasted by incompetent people definitely go here.

I was looking to buy a Dutch oven. I searched online and found Home Hardware. I went to the store and got it. Awesome

Great staff here, especially in the rear counter. These guys have helped so many times I've had any home projects. Yard staff are great, always quick and gentle loading up personal vehicles.

Always an awesome experience with such friendly staff, and an amazing selection of interesting items including lught bulbs of all varieties! Even pet supplies:)

This was the only place I could get my siding ordered in record time after all shops in Calgary either didn't have it or quoted me next year delivery. Highly recommend!

I really like Home Hardware in Okotoks. They often stock things that you can't find anywhere else. They have a awesome assortment of things, and have really good prices!

I needed some fencing supplies, and always find prices competitive here. Had what I needed, cheaper than other local stores.

As a Small Business person in Okotoks I have always promoted shopping from a locally owned businesses and have always made my business's lumber buying from Home Hardware. However I am not happy with their price gouging on lumber.in one day the prices I was quoted increased from 5 to 8 percent depending on the piece of lumber! In other words their margins went up verses from when they purchased and they are assuming prices will always increase. I sure hope they decrease the prices as quickly when the commodity market cools? Probably not.so who gets screwed? You and I.reluctantly be making my future purchases from Home Depot.

It's a good place to shop with a small town feel to it. If you need help finding something they don't run and hide like some of the bigger stores.

I come here often, and was just in last Sunday. Amazing service, especially on the floor. Young man, blonde hair. He helped me find all the products I was looking for. Explained to me how the product that I was not sure about even worked. And was very descriptive and effective at what he was saying. The cashiers were also very efficient and were fast. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who would need any service or help in finding products.

Very poor selections to choose from in bathroom aisle. Store is old and in need of a thorough update. Store is very cluttered and not organized. The overall appearance is sub par. Items on display outside are not even available any more.
As well more importantly even though this store is in Okotoks I realize that they don't require to wear masks at present, but you would think the owners would go above and beyond as there neighbors are at Costco. (There all wearing masks)

It's ok. HH is pricy generally, but the staff here are just not very sharp or perhaps professional.

Yard staff needs to have more respect for people showing up in the yard to pick up $500 worth of wood.the younger guy was really respectful and helpful but the older guy after telling him we want to pick out our wood insisted on just grabbing the most horrible twisted looking wood and just tossing it on trailer and when told again that we need to hand pick it he starts losing his mind and throws down the wood in his hands and just storms off like a spoiled little brat! Unbelievable! The young guy on the other hand was really great and helped us with what we needed. I can honestly say we won’t be going back there again!

For such a small store it seems to have everything; feels crowded but it has a good selection. They do a good job of trying to service contractors too, and there are lots of other building supply business near by, so it's almost like a one stop shop.

I love going into home hardware, even when the project is a pain! Staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Customer service has always been incredible, and they always have what I’m looking for (or a handy tip for doing things a different way).

Long story short, the blond haired lady that walks around bossing people around should realize that she can’t do the same to customers. She needs to get off her high horse and learn some customer service or just manners in general. Not even acknowledging that you exist (ignoring you and talking to the cashier instead) is extremely rude. I’m disgusted by her demeanor and can certainly say that she doesn’t belong in customer service. Won’t be returning here again unless this lady is gone.

Difficult to return defective item. They want your phone number and name. They print off a sheet that you have to sign.
I felt slightly uneasy about the process.
Much easier to return at Home Depot. They automatically refund back on to your credit card without even having to insert or swipe.

Good friendly servicewell stocked always & will always get an item in if it's not in stock, very knowledgeable staff.

Nice but small store. The store is packed with stuff and sometimes it's not easy to find what you're looking for. Staff is very helpful though.

I purchased a shower from Okotoks Home Hardware. I got it home and discovered it was not going to fit so I returned it unopened, undamaged and with the original receipt. When I returned it, they charged me what they called a "re-stocking fee" of $253.30! They basically said take it or leave it, so I only got a partial refund, less $253.30. I’ve been a loyal customer since Okotoks Home Hardware opened in 1991, but I’ll never shop there again! They just don’t value customer loyalty!

Always have the best advice. Huge selection of anything you could be looking for, from a garage heater to those fancy Lolita wine glasses, which I could never find in store anywhere! Huge shout out to Rick in paint who went the extra mile in matching a stain for me against my rain gutters. Looked great!

We need a Home Hardware in Calgary! The old Legion building on Ogden Rd. S. E.would be perfect.

I tried to buy as much as I can from home hardware because the biggest thing that they have over all of the other stores is experience. Too often you go into other hardware stores and the staff has no clue what you're looking for. Every time I have gone into home hardware they have not only been competitive price-wise but also had the service to back everything they sell.

This is the place I go to first for all my building needs great store with very knowledgeable staff and local to boot.

Bought an Easter lily the other week for $7. When I watered it the next day we realized it was infested with gnats! I had to treat it as to not infect my other inside plants, it started dying the next day and now I have a pot as I had to cut the lily down. Not impressed that they have big infested plants.

Best hardware store ever, most helpful guys, especially paint department. Helped us with a portable propane heater for our greenhouse that we would have been unable to get going ourselves before the cold weekend sets in. Thanks so much.

Bruce and Kevin were very kind and super helpful! I went to purchase straps to hold down a headboard on my roof rack but they insisted that was not safe or permitted. They rearranged all the bedframe pieces and secured my truck. I would not have made it home without their kind assistance.
