Best place by far to take your family! So many things to do and see! Petting zoo.mini golf, a swing ride, rent little go carts that you peddle around, daily planned events l! A train ride that fits so many people and a great concession! They have a restaurant/store that stays open late and serves the most delicious cinnamon buns you have tasted! It's family owned and operated and it truly shows! Take your family here! You won't regret it!

The beach alone is worth camping here. Well maintained sand beach with lots of room even on a Saturday Afternoon. The water was clean and warm with a sandy base that goes atleast a kilometer only waist high. Very few rocks or sea weed if that is a thing you don't like.

Camp site are also well maintained with picnic tables and fire pits at each actual site. Not sure about the overflow spots. Don't expect a ton of privacy. Trees are dense closer to the beach but are not the further you get.

This is a family campground so it is noisy at times. We stayed 2 nights. Saturday night was loud early into the morning hours but Sunday night was quiet after 11PM. They resort sets fireworks off at 10: 30PM on the beach from anyone who buys them at the store.

Grandma's Kitchen sells a lot of different essential stuff like firewood, water, eggs, hygiene products, camping stuff, etc in the event you forget something. They have a Cafe style menu if you want to order food. Ice cream shop on the beach only takes cash. Grandma's kitchen and the ice cream shop beside it take debit. No ATM but they can give you cash via debit.

The staff that run most of the shacks are kids who are super professional and efficent at what they do.

My only complaint is the washrooms/showers are closed between 11PM and 8AM. Try to hold your poop. Makes no sense at a family campground to close washrooms.

This was our first and last trip to the campground. We heard good things, and were very excited to try it out. The beach was beautiful. Our actual campsite was nice. The farmers market was a nice surprise.
The bathroom situation was bad. Every time we went to the flush toilets, it was dirty. Shower floors were gross. There were no big stalls to go in with your toddler. The bathrooms near us closed from 11pm to 8am. It was so so far to get to an open bathroom. Especially with a 3 year old.
It was so crowded, you could barely drive down the road without almost hitting someone.
It was also overpriced. We paid less money for a power site at another campground that was far nicer.

Beautiful campsites with lots of activities to do. Wonderful scenery with amenities. My reason for 2 stars is because the animals seemed neglected. I notice the sheep were pretty dirty and the cows had eye crust. Lovely animals but they looked sad. If you’re going to profit if animals at least ensure they will be well taken care of. Overall I loved the place but they should invest more in the animal’s care and facility. Cause they truly looked miserable in their cage. Also they need another woman’s shower house cause they seem to get full of long lines.

Local place. Cash-only. Food is food but the people and the crew are friendly. I like that it's spacious

Family oriented, lots of diversity in the campers, their cinnamon buns in the morning are to die for! Definitely a must-go if you have kids!

Great place. We were visiting friends and they had an 80s night. It was so much fun with an awesome band

Had a great time with 3 grandkids, daughter, and son in law. Campsites were decent and quiet at night. Had a blast on the peddle carts and arcade, and kids loved merry go round, animals & train! The food was good at Grandmas kitchen. They even let us park in beach parking (beach closed) after checkout to hang out and further enjoy the amenities. We will return!

First time staying here. Definitely not my favorite place. I knew it was a large campground when we booked. What I was not prepared for was all the people. We were camped in the 263 to 299 loop (I think those were the numbers) this is no power/water. First issue was the map given. It only shows water on other loops, not in this one. So we detoured to fill our motorhome with water. As it turned out there was water at every bathroom so right by our site. Next issue I had was ALL the people. They let numerous families (3 or 4) all tent in 1 site. These were not group sites, just individual sites. This then led to the next issue. I feel they don't have the infrastructure to allow for this many people. There was ALWAYS a line up for the bathrooms. No matter which one we went to. Bathrooms were also very gross, not cleaned nearly enough for the amount of people using them.
The next issue is the showers. Closest ones were in the main area, also not clean. These ones needed a token ($3) other showers on the property (even farther away) were a twoonie. Not sure if there was a time difference in these.
Next issue was when we left, garbage bins were overflowing with garbage being left all around the bin.
This place was neat/different- However, This is not what we are looking for when we camp and will not be back.

Nice spot with lots of stuff for the kiddos to do but it unfotunately wasn't safe for my toddlers to walk around unless I was holding their hands at all times. There needs to be more rules and supervision when it comes to the use of pedal go-karts and kids on bikes. We almost got ran over multiple times as did numerous people and little kids around us. Kids on bikes and go-karts were not being supervised at all and were driving WAY too fast in crowded areas. A designated go-kart area and biking area or paths would be ideal.

AMAZING! We got campsite 60, right next to beach! Loved the go carts, ice cream and beach. Everything (beside the campsite itself) was cheap and affordable. TIP, if you have kids bring quarters for animal feed, animals also eat leaves. Showers are clean and you get about 5 minutes, just bring twonies to activate it. Fireworks were memorable. Great for all ages!

Love that this is a family oriented campground with plenty to do! They have literally thought of everything. My only complaint is we found it noisy with their radio station blaring and we prefer enjoying the sounds of nature when camping. Everything is pricey so make sure to bring what you need. They have some paved roads which is great for biking. Overall, awesome and we hope to be back again.

Above and Beyond, this place simply has it all. Shower block and bathrooms were clean, Staff was so friendly and helpful, had a guy come up to us well admiring the animals to tell us a bit about them. The lot your rent to camp on is given peace and privacy. Beautiful firework show put on. Great prices to rent peddle carts etc.: O If you go get a cinnamon bun they are to die for!

Underwhelming experience. My friend book a site and called ahead to make sure both trailers would fit in the site. They assured they would be fine. Upon arrival, the grouch behind the desk was quick to tell me that I would not fit in the site. She insisted but gave me option to try. Hard to make work but we got it done. Bring funds cause you're charged for basically everything extra which whatever, I can live with. The fireworks were extremely disappointing and not worth the hype. Staff is rude as hell, so expect that. Sites are confusing and disorganized. Security drove by at midnight and made us turn off the music even though is was extremely low (not our first camping so know how to be curtious to others). The whole place is hyped up way too much, faaaar better places to spend your weekend. Won't be back!

Water is clean, shallow for quite a way out. Ice cream shop on the beach! Keeping in mind, they start booking for the year in January!

We have been going here for years. It is a great central Alberta Capground for families, with lots to do! We have had good sites and bad sites. The beach is waste deep for days, so it's awesome for little kids to play in. We will be back

First time visiting this resort, it's a great resort for families. Lots to do, beach with swimming, awesome playground, train rides, go carts you can pedal around the resort. Great Cafe and ice cream, a little store with arcade and museum. They also have an old school house that they use for movie nights.
I only gave them a 4 because the roads leading there were very rough and the campground itself was very dirty, they need more grass between sites. If you don't mind a little bit of mud should it rain then definitely worth the trip.

Best Canada Day Weekend Ever! And the young staff in grandmas kitchen are so amazing and after such a busy weekend and impatient people they never broke the happy polite stride. We even went back to tell them how amazing they were doing. Already booked for next years event:)

We were excited to camp here with our young children. We decided to get sites in a good location with full services which were “pricy” for camping! When we arrived I was disappointed! You literally pay for every single little activity for the kids! I was also surprised to see you had to pay to use the showers especially with the higher camping rates Which I found inconvenient. The smell of sewer was disgusting and constant.it was out dated!
The beach and cinnamon buns was by far the best part!

Came out here on a whim, my fiancè's grandfather used to volunteer here over 20 years ago as a Tractor driver for the kids train, we now have a little one and thought we would check it out. Its been a great experience and woukd highly reccommend this Alberta Gem. We were pleasantly surprised with the on-site ammenaties and hospitality from the crew members, the cleanliness of the washrooms/showers/ sand/parks is unparalleled.we will be coming back and perhaps our new annual destination.

So much things to do at this place you’ll never get bored. Only thing is the playground needs updating as they aren’t safe.

Beautiful place for camping esp for family with kids! Washroom are all maintained and clean! Friendly staff. Alot of acrivities!

It is our first time to visit, the place is full pack! Lots of spot to set up your tent for family or group camps. My child loves this place, lots of playground every where we go. Beach is full pack too. The staff were friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to help my family with any issues that came up. The campground is clean and nicely laid out. The facilities and amenities are up-to-date and in good repair. Tons of kids, with the freedom to roam. The prices for the different activities are completely reasonable. We will definitely be back.

The lady in the registration is VERY RUDE. We arrived first to set up tent, (prior to that i have called and informed them, and gave my full name and say we will be coming first to set up and i'm under the name of my sister who reserved the site, and they said yes its okay.) and there is a guy assisted us first, asking for last name, but couldn't find my name in there. And the lady jump in yo our conversation and said in loud mad voice "WELL WE NEED YOUR FIRST NAME! ", so I answered back "WELL HE ASKED FOR THE LAST NAME! " and she's still saying a lot of things while getting into the registration of other vehicle.

No matter how pretty the place is, if your treatment to people is poor, that will not make a place good to stay or even visit.

It is a 100% recommended place, I have 3 children and they enjoy it here a lot, it is easy to park the trailer, the sites are very spacious, the lake is great for paddle boarding, the sand is very soft, there is a small fair on Saturdays that invites you to walk around enjoy music and support small businesses in the area.

This place is awesome lots for kids to do we come camping here often and it was always been a great experience!
