Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

We had an amazing experience, our server, Ricky, was absolutely top notch! His recommendations were all on point, we didn’t feel rushed but also never really waited for anything. He was incredibly professional, pleasant and thorough. The food was great and the atmosphere was perfect.

Lots of people yelling, absent servers and missing several items on the menu. Overall a terrible experience. Much better off going to less mainstream Italian restaurants with quieter atmosphere and more food options.

As vegetarian, we don't have much options but few which is there, is worth the try.
Definately you should visit this place.

What a wonderful experience. Our server Melanie R was very funny and attentive. She made us laugh and feel very welcome. The service was absolutely amazing and the environment was very cozy and welcoming. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves a good laugh and amazing food. Keep up the great work.

Update: went again last week and I'm STILL talking about how great it was. Our server was fantastic and went above n beyond. The food also fantastic and I can't stop thinking about it. Such a good date night out.

Who doesn't love Olive Garden? Always delicious - they're ravioli is so creamy, the gnocchi soup is the best soup ever, the fettuccine Alfredo couldn't be better. Love the food here every time

I enjoyed the soup and salad, which were quite good. However, I was disappointed with the chicken alfredo dish. On the bright side, the service was excellent.

Elisa was a wonderful server! She made our experience at Olive Garden a great one. Food was delicious as well.

This food experience was probably the worst I've ever had. It's been many years since I've dined there and was looking for great food experience.
What I received was soggy salad with very little dressing. I ordered the six oz.steak and was told it only came medium which should have been my first clue Instead I received a cold and rubbery steak which tells me it was heated up in oven or microwave and the fettuccine alfredo and steak I ordered were served cold.the only saving grace was the bread sticks.
Not impressed at all. I know you can do better.

Had the never ending soup, salad and breadstick. The soup was amazing. The breadsticks come warm to your table and are garlic parmesan.

We like this place but food are sometimes amazingly delicious and sometimes anyhow they still get the 4stars from me for other things!

It is what it is. Quick and dirty corporate meals that are in no way top quality. Had to be there for a business lunch, or else wouldn't be walking in then or any other time in the future. I just don't get the fascination with it? Bread sticks? Half of them were bricks. Had a lunch feature of chicken parm and it was honestly comparable to a frozen breaded item at Superstore or similar. Pasta and tomato sauce was horrible. Weird and still always c9nfused how so many feel this is a good place for a meal? Shocking

They'll have to roll you out. It's not the best italien food. It's pretty good itlaien food but damn the portions are massive. Sometimes you just want to gorge yourself on good pasta and this is the place to do it.

Went for dinner with my mom. I am gluten and dairy free and hey they still manage to make me a meal that tastes great and I don't get sick.

The service was to notch! Kyle was a fantastic waiter. He genuinely seemed to want to please the customer and not just because he might get a good tip.

Fantastic food, and John was awesome to have as our server! I would definitely recommend. It was well worth the drive in!

Delicious! I was amazed to know that the ingredients come from the US. That's great since the meals taste exactly the same than there. Very attentive waiter. I strongly recommend the five cheese marinara sauce (their signature). The complimentary soups are tasty and sizable.

Not what it used to be. Got a bottle of wine, had it dropped off at our table with two glasses (waiter walks off). So I proceed to uncork (unscrew) the bottle and pour. We ordered soup and salad as there are no promotions and lunch choices were drab. My wife's sausage soup is nice but all the sausage meat is the consistency of ground meat. Not the best texture. My chicken gnocchi would have been amazing if it had even one piece of chicken (I had 3 half bowls) but the broth and 13 gnocchi (yes I counted 3 bowls worth) were really good. We used to go here 1-2 times per week but its rarely now and even more rarely after today.

I typically love coming here but the last time we were here our service was painfully slow, offered refills only once. There were only like 3 other tables on our half of the restaurant so it obviously wasn't crazy busy. We had a few orders of things with Alfredo sauce and it was just like pure cream, no thickness to it, didn't stick to the noodles. Tasted great, but not really interested in trying to drink my sauce.

I came here today for the first time ever, Tamara and the girl with her came through and they were so helpful and friendly and made our experience wonderful. 10/10!

Long time between visits. Salad had less dressing than I remember. Still good, bread sticks awesome as before. Wife had chicken which was a little dry. My shrimp scampi was somewhat tasteless. Service was great.

I still love Olive Garden. It's fantastic you can still go there and eat to lose weight with the soup and salad. Sure miss the bread sticks though. Our server was fantastic and we really enjoyed ourselves.

Had a terrible experience when dining in with my family. Our food was bad quality and when we notified our server I could hear him taking to a manager on duty, Mustafi. The conversation was quite disturbing, totally disregard my complaint. I will never come to this location again. Made me super upset to know we aren't valued as customers. As well the environment they present is not welcoming at all. I could hear yelling and arguments among the staff.

Mid-afternoon waiting time is around 30 mins, understandable due to Covid measures. Service is slow and food is okay. Alfredo sauce needs improvement.

Awesome our server Ricky was STUPENDOUS, downright spetacular. And no I am not related. My Mother and I feel you restraunt is Wonderful the food and staff are A-1. My Moms favourite restraunt in Calgary

The soups are amazing, was almost full on them and the buttery bread before my entre. Very busy though, one should call and make reservations or you will have to wait.

My experience was sensational. This was my first time at Olive Garden with many more to come. Great service, Great portions, I wish I could give 6 stars. I suggest the Tour of Italy and bring friends they'll love you for it.

I was very excited to go back here for my 39th birthday today with family. This is the tour of Italy, and my very special made dessert just for me Calvin was really, really AMAZING!

The wait times weren't as bad as they tell you but the food is atrocious. Over cooked, not made properly, some of it tasted frozen like it was pre made and thrown into a bag in the freezer. The starter soups weren't bad. The only good things were the salad, breadsticks and the waitress. I wouldn't be coming back here for awhile.

No complaints at all. Breadsticks and salad was amazing and our entrees were awesome. Dave was a very friendly and nice server. Will definitely be back!

Had a great time with a wonderful waitress. Sadly they ran in out of Alfredo sauce, but it was my birthday and that's what I came out for so I waited for it. Worth the wait! I am happy they were straight forward with their complications and were professional about it too!

Typical good food- good service - long wait though- but never leave hungry. Why don't they open more (I mean WAY more) locations!?

I went with my family because my niece wanted to go.

-Had to convince server it was OK to order a kids pizza for my wife as she doesn't really like North American restaurant chains due.
-My wife's soup never got delivered, but the pizza did
-Each persons meal came at large intervals. Mine was just as everyone finished.
-I ended up eating my moms pasta and 1/2 my wife's pizza and an extra order of breadsticks.

I ordered the seafood Alfredo and it was as expected, bland and ridiculously small scallops. They did give me my meal for free to compensate which was swell. They also gave a desert for all of us on the house. It's the least they could do bit solidifies that I will not return and will not recommend.

I am sorry to say that our experience was not up to their standards the salad was wilty and my chicken gnocchi soup was missing the gnocchi. So the only thing that was good was the beer and the bread.

Food is meh at best but the wait staff was next to none! They were amazing with the kids in our group and so accommodating.

Very friendly staff, welcoming and considerate. Jodi (hope I got her name right, apologies if inaccurate), she stands out and made a really amazing impression on my family, who is visiting beautiful Calgary.

I got the taste of Italy which came with lasagna, alfredo and chicken parm. All were tasty but the alfredo was the winner.

Anniversary dinner. Thought we would treat ourselves. Service was okay, i ordered the chicken masala and it was somewhat charred with a distinct burned taste. Hubby's dinner was okay. Tiramisu for dessert was great

Came in today and was served by Hope, she was so friendly and professional, even after getting verbally abused by a customer

Extremely happy with the service at this Olive Garden. Staff are super nice and friendly as well (shout out to Dave!), the food tasted great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

Drove an hour and a half to go to this restaurant. Called 30 mins before arrival to make a reservation and was told to do so online using their website. I did this. I arrived at the restaurant and was told their reservation system has been down for 45 mins and therefore they did not have my reservation. (This begs the question, why as I not told this when I called in). Although the place was empty, they could not seat me without a reservation. I was told if I made one it would be an hour wait. Waste of time. Waiting for the border to re-open, much better experience at those locations!

Can’t make reservations, join the waiting list 45 mins in advance and told its a 30 min wait. Once we arrived from an hour out of town we’re told we have to wait a further 35 mins? Pathetic
Why bother?

I absolutely have always loved Olive Garden! My most recent encounter with them was last night, I went there for dinner and ordered the chicken and shrimp carbonara and I was not 100% satisfied with this meal but I took it to go and paid for the meal not wanting to cause conflict as my waitress was so lovely (Divine) was her name. I called in today (the next day) to let a manager know I was not happy with the meal even after trying to eat the leftovers and I was so kindly offered compensation for this over the phone and I am so grateful for this kindness! I have to add that I love their alcoholic Italian-inspired cocktails at Olive Garden (Italian Rum Punch and the Spiked Strawberry Lemonade)! SO delicious and a very reasonable price! I would still recommend this restaurant for being so kind to me and it was a rush last night as well and the staff were quick and tried their best to make sure we got everything we needed during our visit. Thank you Olive Garden for resolving the trouble I had and making it a quick and easy fix! I will be back!

I really like the olive garden but went last night and the food was left on the heat lamps to long and the food was dried out, the server was never around kept having to look for her. I was really disappointed because I was really looking forward to going there.

Food was great, our server was super nice. He doesn't usually work day shift but he did Today, July 24th, he is sooo very personable

Olive Garden was very good cuisine courteous staff easy access for the handicapped the place was clean the servers were very polite prompt and explain the menu

Delicious food, excellent service, and a large variety of options. Gotta love the endless breadsticks soup/salad (with order of an entree) and drinks (depending on the drink you order).

This place has greatly improved, friendly staff there to serve you not get you out the door. Highly recommend you visit.

Great service! However, the place smells really really bad … the food is good but It’s not authentic or fresh at all. Keep in mind it’s quantity over quality!

We have been waiting for Covid to subside so we could get out for some meals. Have not been to an Olive Garden for over 2 years. We came to visit relatives in Calgary and as soon as we found out they had an Olive Garden here we decided we had to go. And we were not disappointed. Great food, wonderful staff and a meal that didn't disappoint anyone. Thks Olive Garden. See you again soon.

This restaurant has gone hill big time! The food is awful and tasteless. Cheap on never ending salad (got one bowl) and have to keep asking for bread sticks. The waitress never refill our water glasses and the coffee was awful.
We will never come back this olive garden again! The waitress kept saying she was going to be done soon and didnt have time to eat our food when she kept clearing the table, interrupting our meal. Terrible manners!

The waitress we had Amna J was the best waitress I’ve ever had, she was so nice, checked up on us lots and gave us really fast service! Great experience

Always a great experience! Staff and food always consistent. Went to Olive Garden this past Saturday with my friend who has Down’s syndrome. I believe our waiter was Kyle. He was amazing! Typically when we go out to eat servers look to me to place the order. Not Kyle he took her order directly without my prompt. When she did not know what the soups were I was ready to jump in to explain but Kyle beat me to it he bent down and explained them all without talking down to my friend. Thank you for an amazing experience this is the first time in our 8 year friendship that I have experienced this. Thank you for seeing my friend and not just a disability.

Hostess was really nice and only waited 3 minutes for table. We then sat for 10 minutes before anyone served us. The bartender Dave saw us and waited our table he was amazing! Mains were very good, I had the Taste of Italy and it was amazing. Soup and breadsticks were so so. Prices seem on the high side I think that is to offset the unlimited breadsticks and soup. Missing the 5th star for the wait we had and the quality of appetizers. Still worth a visit.

The waiter was very nice and did a great job. He came by the table many times making sure we had everything we needed. Food was good and nice serving size.

Been coming here ever since I was a toddler (23y ago) mom used to be a server, used to live across the street, big nostalgia.

Unlimited salad or breadsticks with your entrée, the pasta is always amazing and the service is solid. Always get the Tour of Italy, never disappointed.

It's Olive Garden. The food is good, nothing incredible. The fast food of "fancy" eats. Breadsticks are still great.and endless.

Jason is the best waiter, so kind, very educated about the food, and especially in the know about recent and relevant events.

I love Olive Garden and have been going there to dine or pick up takeaway for years. They have a wide assortment of Italian meals to choose from. There’s also an option where you can pick your choice of pasta and then the sauce you want on it. They have fish dinners on the menu, one of which is salmon that is perfectly prepared. With dinner, they bring a large bowl of mixed salad (with a light Italian dressing) that is big enough to be shared amongst everyone at the table (if you finish the salad and would like more they’ll bring it to you). Along with the salad they bring warm, soft garlic sticks that are incredibly good! They have a good assortment of appetizers. I haven’t tried them all, but the ones I’ve had have always been very tasty.
Their wine and drink list is comprehensive. I love their sangria and often have that. Great atmosphere and consistently superb service makes Olive Garden one of my favorite places to go!

Best place to go if you’re craving for some authentic Italian pasta.
I love that they have unlimited servings of their house salad and soup! Try their Chicken and Gnocchi soup, it is very delicious. We ordered Four Cheese Ziti and Trio of Italy. Both were good and the serving per pasta is good for two. It also comes with 2 garlic bread per order of pasta. It is best to reserve a table ahead of time, or you will end up like us which we had to wait for 45mins to get a table for two in a Friday evening.

Excellent service, good pricing, and very hygienic practices during the public health crisis. The introduction of an online waiting list was also a welcome change. Overall remains a positive Italian-inspired dining experience with generous portions and good selection.

Went last night for dinner host could have been more friendly waiter was awesome I had chicken marsala was very salty was told the wine can make it like that husband had taste of Italy was ok here's the thing potions about half the size they used to be but price is almost double what it used to be will be awhile before we go back

Love their all you can eat soup and breadsticks! My kids love it. Their servings are good enough for two people.and that’s just the kids meals. We are usually stuffed by the time our real entrees come out.

Wish there was another location in Calgary as I live on the opposite end of the city but it’s definitely worth the drive.

Italians say NO.well to bad I say YES. It may not be “home made” Italian but it is still really good. Plus I have never been able to finish a meal and always take a doggy bag. Let’s talk about staff, so far I have never had bad service. Always a great experience.

The OG is a long standing institution here in Calgary. No matter the occasion this restaurant is ready to serve and be a significant part of your celebration.

This restaurant has always had a special place in my heart as I worked here to put myself through University. In all of these years there have been multiple renovations and changes to staff, but one thing is consistent and that is the dedication to quality of service and food. The salad is still as delicious as it ever has been and the soups, especially the Fagioli are always served piping hot.

The staff are treated topnotch here which is why some of the staff have been here over 20 years! That is incredible in the restaurant industry. The medical benefits that they provide to all of their staff after working there for 6 months are a true lifesaver.

This restaurant afforded me the opportunity to complete my education which I am very thankful for. Here's to them helping others accomplish their goals and dreams too.

It would be great if they could open a location in the South.

Always great service! A little pricey, but tasty menu options. Love the velvet berries cocktail! Fun servers, quick and friendly. Never feel rushed to order or to leave after paying the bill. Warm atmosphere, great for a date night (once the COVID restrictions settle down again!)

My family and I live about 2.5 hrs away, and we made a special trip to come to the Olive Garden right now before the government shuts down the restaurants due to Covid. If anyone orders the calamari, you should know that they changed their sauce from the tziki to a spicy ranch. And they also changed their portion size of the calamari. And they also changed their chicken marsala sauce as well. Kyle our waiter was awesome! Attentive, very friendly and knowledgeable. Sonia, the manager was also fantastic. Because we had travelled 2.5 hours to come and eat here, she gave free desert. Really nice people.

This restaurant is clearly one of the tastiest restaurants in the region. Whenever I come to this place I am truly glad. They maintain their high standard service and the highest level of meals they provide. You surely will enjoy this this place. Very recommended.

First time coming into Olive Garden for a quick dinner. Hosts were very friendly walking in, and managed to get sat right away. Surprised at the side of the complementary salad, and the bread sticks were tasty. The food was good and the portion was worth its value. My server Amna J was very kind, professional, and knowledgeable. She was great and very attentive during the service, honestly made the experience! Will be coming back!

They have definitely stepped their game up. I don't know if it's new management or because of Covid causing them to shrink their menus but the quality has gone up drastically since my last visit a year ago. Staff is friendly, environment is clean and food was delicious
