Oliver Place

Oliver Place has been great. The onsite staff are friendly and helpful. They host a number of events throughout the year for residents which is really appreciated. Access to the gym, social room, and patio area are a major plus.

Management has been helpful with dealing with issues regarding loud noises from neighbors. Requests for repairs, etc.are quickly acknowledged and dealt with.

Oliver place Apartment (centurion) was quick to reply back with any questions I had on the unit I'm now currently Renting, it's a clean building, no noise, and enjoy coming home to the comfort of an on site security guy, maintaince was also very quick as I had a small issue with the dishwasher and it got takin care of quickly thank you and already enjoy living in the building

Anastasia, Priscilla and Joe go above and beyond to look after the residents. I think they do an amazing job of managing the building.

I highly recommend this place! You'll get renovated and quiet units close to the mall, grocery stores and bus stations. The building managers are also super professional and kind!

Renovated and warm units, quiet even though our unit facing Jasper Ave. Professional and approachable management just on the main floor and always willing to help with any kind of questions or concerns. Social room with pool table, WiFI and TV just a great bonus to have when you have a company over and need a little bit more space.

Unfortunately I have to part ways from this place but I do recommend oliver place 100%! Lovely management, kept clean, great security, pet store across the street btw! And a dog park that isn’t too far.:)

Nice place! Windows view arr amazing. Apartment is clean and tidy. Location is great and everything is nearby. Nice place for a living. Personally for me the gym is there as well. And management is outstanding. Priscilla (administrator) is very helpful and nice.

Priscilla and Peter have been very receptive to our needs. They respond to any issues or questions we might have in a friendly and timely manner. Our suite is nicely renovated, the building itself is clean and tidy. Oliver Place is a great building to live in and the resident managers are lovely people.
Joe, who does the maintenance, has also been a great help. He's never failed to fix any issues in our apartment and he's always friendly and courteous when we speak to him.

(Edit: My lock broke on a Sunday, so I called Centurion. They told me unless Joe or Priscilla respond to me, there is nothing that can be done. Imagine being homeless when your home is on the other side of the door. Oliver Place is fine, but Centurion is a terrible company.)

Anastasia has been extremely helpful with dealing with the parking tickets since we had to park out back due to the construction. Pricilla wrote a lovely letter for me that I needed for my employer when we had the power outage to confirm this because I work from home people have claimed to have power outages when they didn’t. Anastasia and Pricilla also have compromised with my work schedule when they do the yearly inspections or when basic maintenance needs to be done. The renovations need to be done. Yes its been challenging with the noise at least they are trying to keep the noise during business hours. Not all hours of the day and evening like before. They go well above and beyond to do their best to help.

Oliver Place is a great place to live, plus it's close to a lot of groceries, it's a pretty safe and clean place. The attention from team members like Anastasia and Priscilla, is always very attentive and efficient, they always welcome you with a smile and ready to help, they really are the best.
We highly recommend this building.

I have seen this building transform from night to day! This building is always kept very clean, extremely friendly and courteous staff members in this building as well. I have had the privilege of meeting and speaking with the extremely hard working team members in this building and Anastasia, Joe, Percilla are no other then the best! I strongly recommend this building to live in and awesome location. Keep up the awesome work!

I strongly believe if they added air conditioning it would make up for all the trouble the constant construction creates

Advertised as smoke free building but building is full of smokers.
Many people in the building have pets and kids and they are not being taken in consideration.
Cabinet under our kitchen sink and our bathroom reeks of cigarette smoke.
We are being told to pay extra to move into another unit that “hopefully” is smoke free, why should I pay more money when the tenant who smokes isn’t being removed or fined?

Non stop drilling from morning to sun set, good luck working from home or even having a phone conversation.

Can’t wait to move out.

The community manager and assistant are not going to care about your concerns based on my experience. I have sent emails, I have called them and I have talk to them in person. Nothing gets done!

When I moved into this building the main reason was the “smoke free building”advertisement. THAT IS NOT TRUE!

If you work from home, that will not be respected. There are renovations happening since 2020. That won’t stop any time soon. Their solution is that you, the tenant should leave the building and work somewhere else. But you have to still pay the same amount of rent. Basically just come back to your unit to sleep if you can tolerate the cigarette smoke of course!

The manager and the whole building staff are super helpful when answering any questions or concerns in regards to my apartment. The building is nice, security makes you feel safe and is close to different amenities. I’m glad to call this place home!

This is really nice place to live at. Building is super clean, management and all staff are great and very pleasant. Very safe and quiet property.

I have lived in Oliver Place for over 15 years.

It's a well managed building. The new owners, Centurion are addressing previous issues and renovating. It's a building with a sense of neighbourly community and many long-term quality tenants.
The maintenance is excellent. Joe is extremely competent, quick, polite, straightforward and trustworthy. He addresses all maintenance issues immediately. It has made living here a largely pleasant experience.

I haven't lived here long, and so far the suite is nice and the building is taken care of. Anastasia is also very kind and helpful. I give 3 stars because I have been home sick during the day this week, and the construction noise is unbearable if you're at home a lot or work from home. I have not noticed this until now since I've been around in the day time. It's a shame and I love the building, but if I could go back I probably wouldn't rent here until the construction is done.

I applied to live here and Anastasia and Priscilla made it really easy; the application was smooth and you can tell that they are so caring:) The building is also very beautiful EDIT I did change my review to one star from 5 not because of the building but they did decide to keep my damage deposit upon telling them I decided to go with another company and I think that's really unfair on their part because they never told me it was nonrefundable until I couldn't get it back.

I recently moved to Oliver Place, it’s a great place! A little noise from the renovations but the place is fantastic. Centurion team is great, thanks Anastasia and Priscilla, you are great girls!

My spouse and I have lived in here since 2016. There are plenty of pros and cons, the cons which are being resolved.

The units are a nice size, if facing the North only the 4rth floor has balconies. The balcony is a very generous size. We have a full size BBQ, 3 adult size bikes and a medium size patio set with room to still walk around. Anytime we've had an issue with something in our unit, Joe the maintenence man would always be promptly helping out. The unit itself has a nice flow.

Unfortunately the past 2 years have been nothing but construction. Very loud noise all hours of the day. For a while the building was down to 1 elevator which made waiting for the elevator unbearable. Since then the elevators have all been upgraded. However often enough one elevator always manages to be unreliable.

The building advertises a pool, a gym, a recreation room on their site. Out if the 5 years that we lived here we had one year of the pool. The recreation room is outdated and the pool table they had needs to be refelted. The gym is outdated and a lot if the equipment is unusable.

That being said there are a lot of upgrades going on right now. They have nearly completed the construction on the parkade. The gym and recreation room is well underway in getting a much needed upgrade. The same goes for the pool area.

Give this place a couple years to finish its upgrades and this will be a great place to call home.

One staff member that I feel deserves recognition is Joe. He's always friendly and wanting to help. He always has a smile on his face and does whatever he can to get the job done.

VERY LOUD CONSTRUCTION, it is unbearable! I get notes on my door from management EVERYDAY, I can put together a book. Pool hasn't been opened for a year, rent is going up. DO NOT RENT HERE!

Lived here for 5 years. I hope the new managers and these renovations can turn this place a much better one and wish all the constructions can be done soon.

Amazing experience living here.its been more than one and half years since we moved. Never had any issues.the building is so clean and bright.on the top of it the owners renovated each and every thing elevators, floor, parking and lights.the laundry machines too.its so good.the management is so helpful. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good place to live in downtown. The surroundings are good too.public transport is few steps away.lrt is also near.comfortable place to live in.

Very happy with place. I just renew my lease. Priscilla is a very nice and very helpful. Peter and Joe is very kind and always ready to assist. Staff treat people good and nice. Happy with my new unit. Renovated and I love the Place.if you are looking for a place in downtown I highly recommend this place. Worth a try.

Oliver place is a great community to live in. I have lived here for 2 yrs under previous management and it was good then as well. Now we have new owners Centurion properties and they are going above and beyond to keep this a community. This company is not taking any shortcuts.
Every suite has been redone and new elevators new washers and dryers. Lawn on our roof where our pool is. Redid the the whole parking lot and that's expensive and takes a long time. Any loose concrete was removed and new concrete poured. New membrane put into the parking lot.
The management is very accommodating to everyone and maintenance is awesome.
There is still bad people in here but that goes everywhere and there trying to clean that up. What do you expect for downtown in a big a city.
Pet friendly for those dog owners. Incentives incentives they still might be giving them out not sure but you can't go wrong with all these updates and big suites and new appliances. You aren't going to find anything better.

Pricilla and Peter were helpful and accommodating to our needs when moving in. Any issues were quickly resolved.

I live in Oliver Place and have been a resident here for almost 2 years.
I have Primary Progressive MS and I'm pretty badly handicapped.
I still have a valid Alberta Drivers license and if I pass a litany of medical, vision and mental exams I remain licensed.
On Tuesday I needed a ride to take care of some errands.
Priscilla, who works in our management office volunteered to drive me and assist me.
Above and beyond! Thank You!

Hey there to anyone looking for a great and wonderful place to stay staff is super friendly and go over and above helping you with what your needs needs Priscilla Peter and the other gentleman at the front are really easy going and able to spark up a chat I really lovw the neighborhood and the building the apartments are very nicely renovated brand new flooring and and appliances also if you want the city life open your patio window or close the window for a nice quiet home feeling I give this building a 10 if you are looking for a great place consider living here

I applied last Friday to get a studio unit at Oliver Place and I just wanted to share how amazing Priscilla is. She was very accommodating and helped me complete the application and approval within 24 hours. I am very excited to move to my new place and I know I will enjoy my stay in the building because they have excellent staff like Priscilla.

This place is awful. I feel I was tricked moving here because it all seemed so great at first. I was never told about the constant insanely loud noise, every single day. I haven’t had a decent nights sleep in weeks or been able to properly focus on my work since I have to work late from home and even during the day, with earplugs for sleep and a headset for when I’m working is not enough to drown out any of it. I thought having a discounted first few months rent was great, but it just feels like a very poor incentive to put up with the absolute inconvenience of living here. I feel conned because I’ve been nothing but stressed out since living here, and it doesn’t seem like there’s an end in sight.

So incredibly impressed with how fast and smooth Priscilla was throughout the whole rental process! In less than a day I was approved and had my move-in scheduled. I am grateful for the newly renovated suite, and the safe in-person viewings which followed COVID protocol perfectly. Priscilla made sure I had everything I needed to move in and reserving an elevator for me made it super easy to get my whole move done in only a few hours! Safe, secure and well-looked after, I am so excited to live at Oliver Place!

There are many reasons I decided to choose this place. The building is well maintained. Feel cozy and warm. Good location in the middle of the city, easy access to school and transits, and responsive management team taking care of what you need (Priscilla and Peter are very kind and responsive!) Indoor parkade is also a merit. I am excited to live here.

Its a pretty good place to live provided you love a downtown location
any issues I've had have been addressed in a timely manner
most residents are respectful
u can expect construction noise however they are trying to upgrade this building to a modern standard
while yes one of the elevators is out being worked one it will be worth it when its done
its a great location close to transit and shopping
If your looking for downtown living without being right on top of everyone here is your place

I am very pleased with my experience with the staff in remedying my situation! I am glad to say I will be moving into a newly done suite, and the deficiencies with my old one with be repaired for the next tenant. Overall a great experience, especially now that the deficiencies I had experienced are being dealt with.

I have lived here for 6 plus years. Management has been very accommodating with my concerns. Recently new management has taken over and has made such a big difference. They are very understanding and are willing to work with u. I am very happy with the beautiful up graded suites. They are so much bigger than most suites in Edmonton downtown. New elevators, fixing parkade with other upgrades to follow. I really felt like they cared and at this hard time with COVID it really meant a lot, Thank u Simon, Peter and Perscilla.

I lived here for almost 2 years and went through 3 managers during that time. None of which actually knew what they were doing and did not mange the place whatsoever. Half of the laundry machines were always out of order at any given time, the floors were not very clean, the maintenance people overstepped more than once (coming into my apartment with no confirmation from me) and no one working in the office when it's clearly stated that they should be. I definitely would not recommend living here unless you want a constant headache.

A great place! It is downtown living, so some negatives involved once outdoors, but an apartment worth looking into for a place called home.
