Once Upon A Bride

Charged $25 just to come into the store to try on dresses. When I showed up they had a total of 5 dresses in the bridesmaid color I was looking for and was rushed through. Had to come alone because they only allow you to bring the bride or bridesmaids in (at $25 each) and no other guests. Tried asking employee for opinion and they stated that it was up to me. Waste of money, no selection. I was blown away at all the "rules". Happy to spend my money elsewhere.

I had a fantastic experience trying on beautiful dresses at Once upon a bride! They provided exceptional customer service and were very helpful and accommodating! They made the whole process very easy to navigate

Great service, great selection. They really know how to work with the Bride. Our future daughter in law bought her wedding dress there. First store visited. But shopping local is also key.

These ladies saved our girls days. After a horrible experience at Bells and Bows, we stopped in and were hoping they could fit us in. They graciously did and the entire experience was phenomenal. They took our grad girls from tears to laughter and joy. They could try on as many dresses as they wanted, allowed us to take photos and used clips for the oversized dresses, allowing the girls movement and time to really breath in them, without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. We left with dresses for each girl and will forever be thankful for the top notch service and care they gave us.

Great staff that focus on you and don't allow other distractions while helping you. Grad dress shopping they set an hour aside and you are the only one in the store.

This place is THEE BEST! We went to Magic Moments in Medicine Hat first, worst experience "ever" shopping for grad gown, But once upon a bride in Lethbridge was amazing, super nice and experienced staff, had so many gorgeous dresses and lots of gorgeous take home right away ones too! Was so much fun and got a great price for the dress!

Sadly finding my wedding dress which is suppose to be a special moment was rushed through, in 25 min I had tried on 6 dresses I never really had the chance to see how I felt in any dress. Really disappointed in my experience. I never got to experience the “ I’m really a bride” feeling everyone talks about.

I booked a normal appointment until I found out two days prior to my apt they did VIP appointments. I reached out to them and they were more then accommodating to make my current appointment a VIP appointment, I tried on so many dresses and didn’t feel rush, they pulled some amazing dresses and were so so friendly and honest! 10/10 recommend always, and I’m so happy I gave them the business and got my perfect dress there!

I bought my wedding dress here just about a week ago and it was an amazing experience. Ashley was very thorough and listened to what I needed in and wanted in a dress and very patient as I figured out payment for the dress. Can't wait for my dress to come in. Thank you Ashley!

I had such a wonderful experience at Once Upon a Bride in Lethbridge! I was very worried starting my grad dress shopping experience and Danielle was so kind and helpful and made me feel so comfortable while trying on dresses! I’m so happy I found my grad dress at this store and will definitely be recommending Once Upon a Bride to my friends for buying their grad dress! Had an amazing experience! They weren’t pushy or anything, and answered any questions I had! Ashley helped me pick out my dress and she was great, and totally understood the style I was going for. Would recommend!

Danielle went above and beyond when it came to accommodating me and my wedding party. I originally had 10 in my wedding party and then had to be reduced to 6 due to Covid. She was incredibly understanding and had all my bridesmaid dresses, my dress and the suit rentals all on time and made sure I was happy with the colours and everything.
I was so impressed with the care she has towards her clients. Support local & give her a shot. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Staff was great, friendly and knowledgeable. Was nice to essentially have the one half of the store to ourselves, due to appointment bookings only. My only comment would be they could have used another staff member to assist with measurements, paperwork, etc.to speed things up. However, very happy with our time there, the staff and of course, the dresses!

The owner Danielle was super quick to respond to any questions I had about booking the appointment. Ashley was my consultant and Deonie was there helping too. Not only did they help make it such a fun experience but they were super accommodating and helpful. I felt that they all just wanted me to find the best dress. At other salons I have felt pressured to make a decision, but I did not feel pressured by the staff whatsoever at Once Upon a Bride. Nice shop, Beautiful dresses, great people!

Amazing! I was having sleepless nights stressing out about not being able to find my dress before my wedding in six months. After I tried on a few picks of my guests, Deonie took the one thing I liked in each and found me my perfect "say yes to the dress" dress. Iam forever thankful! Thank you! ‍️

Buyer Beware! Do not buy a dress from them. No returns no matter what the circumstances. Our dress was ordered, you have to pay for it all upfront so that you have no recourse. And then they do do not take returns for an unworn, unaltered dress that they can resell in their store. No compassion and No exceptions! We didn’t even try on the dress. The staff was extremely rude. If I could have given a zero I would have. Extremely disappointed in level and quality of service.

I bought my wedding dress in Calgary, but so badly wish I bought mine here! I had a horrible experience in Calgary and the ladies here so nicely accommodated me in twice to find a Plan B dress in case my dress didn't show up in time for my wedding. I appreciate all their help and willingness to make my day the best possible. Thank you and I will always refer you to anyone looking for a dress!

Terrible first experience in this store. We were rushed through the appointment. Bride wanted to try a specific style on one of the mannequins and the stylist said "that style won't look right on your body type so I'm not going to bother pulling it for you". (Fyi that's the style she ended up buying from a different store). Bride was also told to order 2 sizes smaller than what she is so that after working out she will fit in it. (There was never a conversation with the stylist about trying to lose weight for the wedding, nor does the bride need to lose weight). Many other backhanded comments came with this appointment. Would not recommend this store.

Our review is a little late but we just have to say Thank You thank you! From the moment we walked in my daughter was treated like a princess. We purchased her grad dress at the 2018 Grad Trunk Show. Our consultants name was Alisha and both Alisha and Danielle took so much time helping my daughter find the perfect dress. There was a huge variety of choices and we never felt rushed. From our first appointment to picking up her dress, we received nothing but exceptional service. My daughter walked away with her dream dress and actually wishes she could do it again. Thank you again for making her dreams come true.

Had a great experience helping my SIL choose a wedding dress here. All the staff were super accommodating, knowledgable and helpful and really guided her through the process. They have a great dress selection and booking a private fitting was 1000% worth it!

Wonderful service, any time I had questions or concerns about my dress they were always ready to assure me. I absolutely love my dresses! I wouldn't have had a dress if it wasn't for Once Upon A Bride. I cannot thank you enough!

Went here to look at grad gowns and then again for wedding gowns
Bad experience both times. The people helping me told me that red was an unpopular color that didn't flatter everyone
. Therefore I shouldn't choose it as a grad gown color. I wanted sleeves for my wedding gown and the person told me. 'everyone wants sleeves until they try them on, they dont suit every body type'. Thanks. By the way, I found a beautiful gown with sleeves, that looks fantastic. I mean, I wear sweaters.everyone can look beautiful in sleeves. Why not instead of trying to sell sell sell, you actually try to make the client happy and try to be open to their wants.

If it wasn’t for the employee who helped me during my appointment, I would have never found my wedding dress. I had picked and tried on several and wasn’t loving any of them, when she suggested one she had a feeling I’d love. I did, instantly feel in love.

This bridal store is fantastic! I highly recommend them! I had called another bridal store and was greeted rudely - but when I called here, I was impressed at their level of customer service. They were able to accomodate my guests that I brought with me to try on dresses. The experience was amazing! They even offered to take a dress off a manican so that I could try it on. I recently picked up my wedding dress and had an initial fitting at the store. The staff was amazing yet again. They even took the time to show my mom how to tie the corset back of my dress so she would know how on my big day. The dress fit like a glove - the measurements they had taken previously were perfect. From the initial appointment to picking up my dress, I felt like was royalty! Best Bridal Store Ever! I could not have asked for a better experience.

I just wanted to say that I have been dealing with Danielle and Her husband Lee for the passed 15 years and they run a awesome business and are very professional. I would highly recommend them 5 star.

I was thrilled to find my wedding dress on my first trip to Once Upon a Bride! After another dress fell through, I was left with a shorter than I would have liked timeline to order but Deonie was amazing at listening to what I wanted and knew before I did that my dress was my dress! I can't say enough good things about my appointment and am thrilled to have found my dream dress locally!

Three daughters.three grad dresses! 6 years of reliable help! Thank You for your patience and assistance. Super friendly, welcoming and never rushed! And the kicker with my last daughter was we had to come back to pick out a new grad dress as there was someone with the same dress in her class (thank goodness for teenage girls and their group chats!) And we were greeted yet again with warmth and laughter. Excellent service!

My fitting was very rushed to the point of the sales associate being rude. High pressure to purchase. Not a good place to shop for a wedding dress.

They also rushed my appointment and started letting another client try on the dresses i liked and wanted to try on again.i felt rushed and it wasn’t the best services.other than that the store was very pretty and i found the dress i liked for my graduation and within good price!

Went shopping for my grad dress and it was great. I had Jen helping me and she made me feel welcomed and comfortable! Found my grad dress and it is gorgeous. The other staff assisting were fantastic as well. Thank you!

My Bridal Consultant was Deonie! She was so awesome.it was a little hard with only myself as my bridesmaids and family all live far away, but she made me feel so comfortable and beautiful as did the other ladies! Even tho I didnt pick my dress from there store, I still ordered my dream dress through her (tried on in a different store), I would reccomend this store to anyone, as everyone is so welcoming and nice their!

I tagged along with my daughter in law on Saturday to pickup her bridesmaid dress. They were immediately on the defensive. This was the 3rd bridesmaid dress for this particular wedding that was wrong in some fashion. This dress was way too small. They did nothing to correct the issue and since there was a contract in place she had no choice but to purchase the dress and hope to find someone to fix it. They did give a swatch of matching fabric to help with the alterations. They implied to her that she had gained weight since the fitting, this is simply not true. The dress was the wrong size. I am flabbergasted that any store in this day and age does nothing to correct their mistake. What happened to the making the customer happy? In no way will I recommend this store to anyone.

My wedding was ruined until I came here. My dress was completely destroyed at a dry cleaner in town, so I came to this place to look for a new dress 4 weeks until my big day. The staff, manager, and owner helped me find a new dress within my budget. I had all of them pulling dresses and helping me into them. I found my dress and could not be happier. They ended up giving me the dress WAY under the original price tag, and WAY under my budget. This store is my saving grace, and such wonderful people work here. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for making my wedding day special. I did not feel rushed one bit, they took time to make me feel comfortable, and find my dress. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a dress. What a great experience!

Once Upon a Bride definitely has beautiful gowns. The unfortunate thing is they will rush you through an appointment saying they have other clients but the couple of times we spent looking throughout the store being rushed through our appointment, they have had no clients and they are just adjusting hangers of the dresses on the racks. My daughter was in tears after this experience. Except for our initial trying on of dresses, this kind of treatment has been consistent in this store. You would think that attention given to clients should be more important than the spacing of the dresses in the racks. If you like attention and being treated like you should be as a bride try Sunshine Bridal and Rococo Brides in Calgary.

Oh my gosh I absolutely loved my experience at this salon. I loved that they actually let you pick out the dresses you want to try on - it was amazing trying on dresses that I actually wanted to try on instead of just what the consultant brought me. My consultant was so amazing and friendly and made me feel so comfortable trying on dresses. Even though I didn't end up getting my dress from here, I'll always remember the amazing service I was given and the best experience I've ever had dress shopping. Seriously I cannot recommend this place enough.

An absolutely amazing experience! The woman who helped my mum and I (Brynn Klassen) was unbelievably sweet and helpful! She helped me find my amazingly beautiful grad dress that I absolutely adore! The store was super clean and welcoming with soft music playing! Very well lit and over all amazing experience! I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for a wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses or a grad dress! It's such a calming experience to wander and search this store, and the staff aren't super pushy about what you're buying! The specific consultant I had was extremely kind and calmly told us where all the areas of the store were! She was so helpful and I would gladly visit them again to get a wedding dress some day!
