I love this store. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The selection of frames is wide and the 2 for 1 pricing makes getting the second pair a no brainer.
They are always helpful with any problems I may have with everything from insurance to frames going wonky.

Definitely the WORST optic clinic i’ve ever experienced in Calgary. I have never dealt with such unprofessional and uncooperative behaviours from the doctors and staffs. I went here to inquire for an eye exam, and the doctor were nothing but rude and disrespectful of my time with constant attitude and harsh tone who seemed uninterested in assisting me. If you have a warning sign against rude customers, at least make sure that you have staffs that are disciplined and treat their customers fairly. Go some place else where they appreciate your business and that values and respects their customers. If I could give less than 1 star, I would!

No one answers the phone or returns voice-mails when you need to book an appointment or order contacts. Unless you plan to physically go into the store, it will be a miracle to talk to anyone.

Wanted to give a BIG shout out to Lisa, Mallory and the Optiks team!
My husband and I have been purchasing our glasses from this location for too many years to count and would not consider going anywhere else. Their selection is vast with new styles arriving all the time and pricing is more than reasonable.

What we appreciate the most however is the honesty and integrity that is demonstrated by Lisa and her team. They help to ensure that you not only have that "just right" pair of glasses that will look amazing but that will also fit into your budget, and if you have any challenges with the glasses after purchase you can guarantee they will help to rectify however they can.

Worst optical clinic in Calgary. Went in with my mom just today and customer service was terrible. Greeted by a guy who seemed uninterested with helping customers although it was clear that he was doing nothing. We went here because we wanted to inquire and switch to this clinic, but i guess that was a bad idea. After asking if they have direct bill, we were then told to go to the fromt desk so that the receptionist can assist us. When we got there we saw that the receptionist was “busy” so we waited a couple minutes for her to say “how can I help you” instead she asked us “do you need anything” in a rude tone. I was about to give her an attitude back but since im a RESPECTFUL customer i did not. We then asked her about insurance direct bill and that old woman continued to be rude although my mom was just trying to ask questions. If you have a sign of “not tolerating rudeness towards your staff” make sure that you also have disciplined staff who are respectful to new customers. After asking a few questions, the receptionist told us that she can’t help us since she is “too busy”, if you have a lot of customers how about add more people so that you can assist your customers. We left without saying anything else, great options in terms of the glasses, but with customer service… you need new staff and I hope this did not happen just because we are asian.

Prices are astronomical here! I have a very light prescription and no eye health issues. Yet they want to charge me $824! For a single pair of lenses and frames. The frames I chose were $285.
So they're trying to tell me my very light prescription is almost $540! Just for the lenses!
I'd hate for anyone needing bi-focals to come here and see the price of that!
Completely ridiculous!
I won't ever be back here!

Could not say enough about the loveliness of Mallory and her team this weekend! I had a problem with my prescription sunglasses fit, and they were able to help me resolve it in a quick manner! I have used Optix International since they opened in Southtrail crossing. I've taken both of my children for their first eye exams at 6 months and for their yearly exams. Great Dr's. Great Opticians. Very knowledgeable with no pressure to buy. Best selection of frames in the city with a wide variety of brands for budgets. I made the mistake of going to another glasses shop and ended up paying DOUBLE for 1 pair of glasses! I will only use Optix International from now on. Lesson learned!

Had great service at the south location. My daughters and my husband got glasses from here. I would have been lost without the help from Mallory. She made everything easy and picked out glasses perfectly when we were struggling with so many options. If you shop here ask for Mallory.

Just had my check-up and picked out glasses at this location and I have to say every time I go there the service is excellent! Malory and Lisa, who I usually have to help me when I am there, are amazing! They both go above and beyond for their customers. Very friendly staff! They take their time with you and make sure your happy with your purchase. Dr. Campbell and his staff are awesome as well. He takes his time with you and is very informative. I would highly recommend this place!

My daughter and I went in today for an eye exam and to get new glasses. We dealt with Lisa who was extremely patient with my 11 year old daughter in finding the “perfect” glasses. We never felt rushed through our appointment and we left feeling like we found the perfect glasses. Optiks International has such a huge variety of frames it can often feel overwhelming choosing the right pair. Lisa was not only helpful but very honest with what frames fit us best.
I also felt that the store was set up perfectly with the covid restrictions. After we tried on all the frames they are all cleaned after, ready for the next customer. I really do appreciate all the extra steps that the staff take to make sure everything is sanitized.

My experience with this team has and is always fantastic. Stress free able to come explain what we are looking for and I’m in and out hassle free. Tries a few other places always find myself coming back here for the customer service and the prices can’t be beat with the deals they offer.

The lens of my spare fell off, and I couldn't fix it. It was an emergency for me. Lisa fixed my two eyeglasses even though I didn't have an appointment 15 mins before closing. Thank you, Lisa! You're an angel!

We have purchased many sets of glasses over the years. However after today’s experience we will not be back. The employee greeting at the door requested we leave immediately due to my husband wearing only a face shield. He held an exempt card and was informed they are no longer being honoured. My husband required an eye glass pad for his glasses. He placed them on the counter and left. The employee stated that she could speak with me because I was wearing a mask. I was totally disgusted as to how the situation was handled. She may have been mistreated by others however taking the time to find out the situation here was important also.

Horrible customer service, there are so many choices when it come to purchasing glasses that it's not worth visiting this location. I have shopped at this location for several years, but with the Covid issues they have adopted the "Karen" approach.
While waiting to see the Optometrist I stood up and was near a glass display, an employee came up and quite rudely said I can't be near the displays without a employee near, ok, makes no sense but I complied.
In order to try on glasses an employee follows you around, again annoying but I'll play along. I ordered some glasses against my better judgement.
When I went in to pick up my glasses I had to stay at the front, the guard at the door brought my glasses to me and asked me to try them on. I was forced to keep my mask on and the guard asked me if my glasses fit fine and how is the vision. I'm not allowed to take off my mask so the glasses are fogging up and the strap around the ear doesn't allow a proper fit. I asked to go to the fitting seat where you are "allowed" to take off you mask. The guard said no and that was that.
Save your time and go elsewhere, my son got glasses from LensCrafters two weeks ago and they were great to deal with. The staff there was very welcoming, Covid and all.

I was greeted by a man at the front desk. And showed him a broken arm on my glasses and he told me this is 2017 Italian made, so maybe they can find and fix the arm and maybe they don't make them anymore. He said they will call me, still waiting 3 weeks so far, Not impressed! The manager finally got back to me and resolved the problem. Very Happy with his response.

Well today September 10th I attempted to buy some glasses to only be turned away at the door. I have bought several pairs over the past few years from this location and was extremely disappointed about being told at the door it was appointment only.

I did not see any signage at the door about appointment only nor is it on their website. Two things I hate, piss poor customer service and wasting my time.

I understand that Covid has changed how business is done but you don’t turn away customers. I ended up going to lens crafters and had no issues getting into that store to buy glasses. Won’t be coming back here and would suggest you take your money somewhere else. Funny part is I was going to buy two new sunglasses and one regular glasses and my son was going to get two glasses as well. Five pair total.

From the warm, cheerful greeting; to the hopeful approach of searching for the glasses parts that I was in need of; Trish delivered it all, and more! Edit on March 10,2020. Although my review was eventually commented on, I did not contact Optiks as I wanted to go into the location and be treated as a regular customer. I went in this morning and was assisted by Mallory. She is wonderful. She helped me find two pairs of glasses. She found glasses in different colours and I tried on quite a few and I was very pleased with the choices and with what I finally decided on. I look forward to picking my glasses up and I will ask for Mallory when I do.

Original review: I was at this location this morning and the staff does not seem interested in helping customers but they are interested in talking to one another which is what the two staff members did until we were walking out. We were trying to pick out glasses and needed help which we did mention, loudly, more than a few times but we were ignored. I finally said we were leaving and as we headed to the exit one of the staff members asked if we had questions as we reached the door. We have had excellent service at this location in the past, and so came back but if I am going to spend close to $1000 on glasses, I am going to go somewhere the staff are interested in helping people.

Edit on February 27,2020. The staff at this location decided to ignore me again. They commented on a review that was posted after mine but did not do so on mine. How do they decide who to ignore? The original review was posted about January 9,2020.

Just went to this place today March 3rd @ 5: 00pm, browsed until 5: 30pm, there were 3-4 other girls working, sitting at the computers in the middle and 1 other girl helping 1 other customer in the store. I left alone and ignored.never once engaged to see what I needed. I ended up walking out. Look at the pattern of negative reviews. Their service sucks
