I recently had a disheartening experience with Orkin, primarily due to the lackluster customer service provided by Brendan. Initially, Brendan was commendably prompt in responding to my emails, which instilled confidence in the company's professionalism.

However, my optimism quickly waned after the first manual inspection for bed bugs. The service fell below expectations, prompting me to share my feedback, which, unfortunately, was met with a noticeable shift in Brendan's responsiveness. I expressed my concerns and requested a follow-up canine inspection, but to my dismay, all communication ceased.
It's now been a week, and I have yet to receive a response. This silence has left me feeling undervalued and frustrated. Such a disregard for customer concerns raises significant doubts about the company's commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction.

While the initial engagement showed promise, this subsequent lack of responsiveness has left me with serious reservations about recommending Orkin to others.

If it was important for feedback i guys would return calls and not have me calling everyday of the week to get an answer from u guys i had a treatment done in june bugs are still here

Wanted us to sign for monthly fees before even discussing the issue. Promised us identification on the bug and a quote on the next visit. I had to call him to get him to return and still didn’t have all the information we needed so i didn’t proceed. Don’t recommend.

Mike does a fantastic job. He is on time, professional, cares and knows what he is doing.
I hope with the many staff you have gone through that you will soon have more competent staff that want to stay. I always fear for companies “burning out” the loyal hard workers like Mike.

Unfortunately, they came to our house and that creepy guy, took pictures on our room showing our babies panties, he wasn't allowed in the rooms and did it anyway.very bad and unprofessional situation.i feel he could have gone and look more stuff.creepy. 0 stars

Gabriel from Orkin is the best! He checked out the attic and the outside of our house and he's super honest, friendly, knowledgeable and reliable. He really went above and beyond to figure out what was causing those weird noises. I was seriously impressed with his work and I'd totally call him up again if I need pest control. The Orkin Technician was very knowledgeable & thorough. He also recommended hanging a few hornet traps around the yard which have worked well. The main hornet infestation appears to be eliminated.

Kevin was a great rep. Gave me an informed analysis, did a free estimate and recommended trying some things myself before getting their services given the lack of severity. The technician phoned ahead to advise when he would arrive. He was on time.very courteous,
friendly. The gentleman was very informative, professional, knowledgeable. He explained the process and what I should expect. He also cautioned about the toxicity of chemical used and what I should do to protect myself and my dog. He is an asset to the company.

John from Orkin was awesome! We had a terrible infestation of Box Elder Bugs in our building, he sprayed the building and surrounding areas and we haven't seen any since. John also stopped in a couple of weeks later to check in and make sure the treatment worked. I highly recommend Orkin for all of your pest control needs.

John was very pleasant to deal with and provided great communication and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. This is the second year using them and will be using them in the future.

Had a big mouse infestation. D came in and not only helped with the issue, she is super knowledgeable. She showed up 15 minutes early with a super outgoing attitude. In my opinion you should hire more individuals like her. I will for sure be using your service again.

Timely and professional. Assessed the problem in our yard and determined it was something he was not yet qualified to do as it requires a special license. He directed us who to contact in order solve our problem. The technician was very knowledgeable and courteous arriving within the time window and calling before he showed up. There was no charge for the assessment of our yard and we were very pleased with the information provided. We used less well known businesses in the past, but given that our problem persists, we went with the well known name of Orkin and actually got what feels like the truth out of someone instead of a different company who took our money, put down some fake rock looking traps and disappeared into the wind.

Had a small issue with mice in our house and have so for previous years.
Called Orkin to come and set up bait stations and search both interior and exterior of house to see how they are getting in. Maximo came and found some problem areas, sealed them up and since then, have found no signs of mice in our house.
Maximo comes and checks all bait stations and no signs of any activity since his 1st visit which is a great sign.
Very impressed with Orkin and Maximo who is very professional and thorough. Will recommend Orkin to others for sure.

I would recommend this service. The representative Cuong Huynh was punctual, friendly and explained everything well. The mice problem was controlled within a couple of months.

Your representative/agent, Sam, from Medicine Hat, is very courteous, polite, and is knowledgeable about the habits of pesky mice. At the initial inspection he pointed out several places mice may enter the house so I was able to cover the vents with screen immediately. He has been very thorough checking all the traps and bait stations, and adding more bait as needed. He contacts me prior to travelling out here to ask permission to gain entry to the house. He seems to be a very trustworthy and personable young man. He is conscientious about his job.

Cuong from Orkin came to our acreage yesterday and quickly located areas where mice could enter our home. Very knowledgeable and curtious.

My first call yielded about a 2 star rating at most. After I called and explained what happened, Orkin made sure do amend my experience and went above and beyond. I live on a acreage in Bearspaw so I get all the critters especially pocket gophers. To amend this, Orkin sent a service manager, Bryan S.and tech Cuong H.out here. We walked the property and both guys made sure to make me feel like they would handle it all at a very reasonable price. They told me what they would do in the pet sensitive areas and on the perimeter and I feel like my concerns have been addressed and my confidence in Orkin has been restored. Bryan S.is a service manager for a reason, he gets customer service (something that is fleeting in Calgary) and is very knowledgeable. I had a service visit by Cuong today and he arrived when he said he would and was informative about the carpenter ant treatment. He also provided info after the treatment about what he found and next steps to prevent further infestation. Very satisfied with his service.

We were impressed by the thorough and professional service we received today from Sherry, the Orkin representative. She arrived promptly at the appointment time and her pleasant manner put us at ease despite our fears that we had recently imported bedbugs to our house. Sherry looked carefully for the signs of bedbugs in our bedroom and the living room furniture and explained what she was looking for as she did her inspection. We were relieved when she found (and killed) a carpet beetle, but saw no signs of bedbugs. There was no charge for the inspection and no pressure to purchase unnecessary services. If we ever have a pest problem in future (or just think we might have one), we will certainly call Orkin first, and hope that all their reps give the same excellent service as Sherry.

Cuong has been our technician for the past year. He is exceptional - a very professional and courteous representative. The treatments have been successful- specifically with Vole control and Japanese beetle control.

I am always very happy with our companies service from Andre at Orkin Pest Control. He takes very good care of our property, and always shows up on time, and checks if there are any concerns or questions. He continues to take covid precautions very seriously and I appreciate that.

Adrian Gordon visits my place of business twice per month for pest inspections and he is amazing. He talks you through exactly what is happening and what needs to happen going forward. We have never had any issues with Adrian or Orkin!

I am really happy to get professional pesticide service from Orkin Canada. I will mention specially about Gari who came to my house four times and he was very friendly, finding the problems promptly and provided the correct pesticide treatment so that the cockroaches were gone within a week!

I am thankful for the excellent service that we received from Orkin Canada Pest Control Team. I very much appreciate your continuous support in getting rid of the pest that was bothering us. Their service truly works. They used healthy and eco-friendly approach to treat the pest and it worked very well for us.

One of the worst companies to deal with. I used them for outdoor vole control. $400 later I still have the problem. I had to chase the company as their employees just wouldn't show up to check on traps. I still have the traps on my lawn even though the contract ended in December. Save yourself some money and buy some poison from Canadian Tire and put it in the holes. That's basically all I got for $400. So after all that money I still have to go buy poison and do it myself. Not professional enough to tell me that themselves.

Cuong from Orkin regularly completes our pest control services at the business I manage and he always does a great job keeping me up to date on anything I need to know, is always punctual and professional!

Been using Orkin for about 5months now and they have cleared all the pest that are in our vicinity. The professionalism of Cuong Huynh is more than top notch. He educated us on pest behaviours and how to prevent further infestation hence controlling the pest population.

Adrian was a pleasure to deal with. I have not been back in my home yet as treatment was completed at 12: 30pm. Adrian was very confident in his work and knew what he was talking about. Which made me feel comfortable.

Chris with the Calgary office was our technician, he was a consummate professional and highly safety oriented. He made certain all people and pets were considered in his approach and very thorough in all communication with me. We had a nasty and touchy Yellow jacket situation and when he was finished he waited and checked to be certain the procedure was going per his expectation before leaving.

Tyler was great! Ours was a bit of an energy situation due to vulnerable people at risk from wasps. He came out the same day and too care of everything. Super nice and super professional.

I had Adrian come to my home and perform a rodent inspection. He was extremely punctual, friendly and patient! My dogs adored him and he explained everything to me in great detail so I understood exactly what was going on. I recently purchased my first home and have literally no idea what I’m doing and having him come in a take a look around really put me at ease. I also spoke back and forth with Veronica to set up the meeting, she was also extremely friendly and informative! If you’re looking at any company for help with pests I would absolutely recommend that you deal with Orkin. It was a pleasure!

We used Orkin recently to help with a bed bug situation. The technician was awesome. Helpful, insightful and eliminated our problem. He's a wonderful guy named Gary.

However, the admins who answer the phone are downright RUDE! First off whoever "Veronica" is in the office does not know how to transfer a call. She simply hangs up mid conversation and waits for you to call back. When I finally reached the admin handling my file she was also incredibly rude. Her name is Sherri and I highly recommend asking for another admin to help you if you choose Orkin. I was requesting a preparation sheet for my upcoming treatment to which she wondered why I didn't have one already. I explain the tech didnt have any while he was at my place. After giving her my email I figured she would just send the preparation sheet. Nope. I called back 2 days later mentioning I didn't receive the email. Her response "Oh yeah well I sent the email and it bounced back. So yeah. " It bounced back because she genuinely could not believe that my email ends with ". Ca" instead of ". Com" Nor did she even bother to call and say it cant get through. She then proceeded to tell me that I obviously don't know my email. Why are their admins arguing with me over whether my email is fake? I have much better things to do than to call Sherri and give her fake emails for a sheet I legitimately needed.

Everything with the treatment was great! If you choose to use this company be prepared for the run around before even seeing a tech.

I have a multi unit complex that developed a pest problem. I called Orkin Canada and was put in touch with Tyler Karcz. Tyler is the definition of professional. He made time to come take a look at the property in between some training he was taking. He thoroughly inspected the property, took the time to explain how best to remedy the problem, had his equipment with him so that he could treat the property immediately after the inspection, and provided me with tips on how tenants could help make sure we prevent a repeat of the problem. Tyler was also available and responsive to followup questions I had. Great person to work with.

I called Orkin to enquire about a specific pesticide and usage details, and received a call back from entomologist Dr. Hemal Bhatt within 20 minutes. Hemal was very helpful and answered all of my questions thoroughly and professionally and I look forward to working with him and his branch again in the near future as needs arise. Great experience!

Overall our experience with Orikin has been pretty favourable. We purchased a year’s subscription with them for a fairly reasonable price, considering we live out of town and had a substantial mouse problem. With this subscription we could ask them to come out and rebait the traps as often as needed to, our agent has always been friendly and professional and now that we’re closing in on our year of service it looks like the mouse problem has finally almost eradicated thanks to their services.

I've always had good service from Orkin. They are knowledgeable about all sorts of pests and their prices are reasonable. I'd definitely recommend them.

Horrible service all around. Technician never showed up - appointment was made 2 weeks prior. The people on the telephone are not educated on the services and how it works/procedures. Manager is too busy with month end to call about the situation!

The technician, Adrian, was courteous and pleasant. He thoroughly examined my rental property and explained the best course of action to take to get rid of a carpet beatle problem. Adrian's professionalism and friendly demeanor made all feel at ease and reassured.

Jamal and the receptionist in Calgary are wonderful, they listen and are very patient. I have brought 3 samples of bugs for Hamal (entomologist) to examine. Okrin Pest Control is highly recommend. Still working with them to identify “the bug”.

I started getting bites all over my body and feared the worst. BED BUGS! I called up Orkin and had one of their inspectors out the same day to inspect. Free of charge too. AMAZING! It turns out not to be bed bugs. Phew. BUT I kept finding little black bugs and continued to receive bites. Orkin has a Entomologist that can identify bugs. I sent an email with a zoomed in picture over the weekend and received a response shortly after. It turns out we have a flea problem in the house. The joys of having pets. Ugh! If we can’t control it on our own then i’ll definitely be calling Orkin because so far their service has been fantastic.

Bryan was very helpful and informative. He did a thorough inspection, found the problem and resolved it quickly. He was very patient, answered all my questions and put my mind at me at ease.
